The days passed, soon enough the twins had grown a routine to spending time with Jacob and their sister. I grew increasingly anxious, frustrated. The twins were only human after all? It's inevitable for the two to grow attached. Attachment is dangerous in the world they live in. attachment will rip them away from my arms.

"Hey, jake! You in here?" the twin's heads turn in the direction of the voices.

"Yeah 'em!" Jacob yells, the barn door slides open to reveal two adolescents who look similar in stature, yet one looks softer, the other looks playful. The swan twins look at them in disinterest before turning back to their video game.

"Whoa! What's with the scrap metal?" the softer one jests.

"This, my friend, is Bella's new project." Jacob smiles as he wipes the grease off his hands. The boys look at both the girl playing the ds on the spare stool and the one leaning on the jacobs work station.

You must be Bella then." the playful-looking one smiles at the doe on jacobs station, as the softer one simply looks confused.

"That would be me. How'd you know?" Bella asks. The two share mischievous looks.

"Well for one, your all jake ever talks about, and two, he's not into goth girls." the playful one says

"dude!" the other whispers. Hitting him on the chest.

"I'm Embry." the soft one reaches his hand out to Bella, giving her a firm handshake.

"Bella. But you already knew that" she says.

"And I am the one! The only! Quil Altera." the playful one exaggerates. The twins laugh at his overall demeanor. Finding themselves comfortable in the Quileute boy's presence.

"Now who're the Grady sisters?" Quil points to the twins.

"Allissa." the girl sighs.

"Alex." the boy waves. Then they turn back to their games, ignoring the world. For it is safe in their heads, with each other.

"O-Kay" Quil mutters.

"Nice to meet you" Embry smiles.

'Well they're not creepy' Quil thinks to Himself feeling unnerved by Bella's siblings. Something didn't feel right about the two. Even though they seemed nice? It was like a weird feeling. A feeling he's only ever got with the Cullens.

"They haven't been getting much sleep lately," Bella explains, trying to defend her sibling's reclusive behavior.

Allissa and alexander's fingers twitch. Images fly through their minds of the few times they have encountered bloodsuckers. The First time, their mom's boyfriend died.

Second, they're best friend Abby was drained and ripped to pieces,

and third, was the last straw before they broke. Two years ago they both met an individual. They trusted her with every fiber of their being. With beautiful blonde locks, blue eyes. She was everything they weren't. Bright, joyful, kind. Or so they thought.

''What a load of horse shit'' they frown at the memory. Though to the outside world. They were just playing Zelda.

That night I decided enough is enough. I pressed my fingers across the temples of the two. A soft cyan glow emulating from my fingertips.

""Bella?"" it was dark, cold in the familiar forest of forks. The sound of gurgling and heavy slurping echos through the twin's ears. Hesitant, they decide to follow the sound. Stumbling through the woods, they finally stumble upon a clearing. The moonlight shining upon two hunched figures.

The twins look down to see the bodies of

Charlie Swan,

Renee Dwyer,

Phil Dwyer,

and Jacob black. They look back to the figures As they stand, Revealing the strewn apart copse of their sister. Bella swan. They turn, all so ominously, they two see themselves. With bloody clothes and faces, deep ruby eyes, and sharp glistening fangs. The opposites are inhumanly perfect.

""Kill her.""

""Ahhhhh!"" the twins echoed screams surround the swan residence. It is painful, loud, and haunting. Like a banshee predicting death.

"What is it? What's wrong!" charlie bursts through the door with his shotgun. Seeing his two youngest eyes filled with tears, wide and alert.

""I can't breathe!"" they scream as they gasp for air. charlie puts down his gun, pulling the two into his arms.

"Shhhh. It's okay Lissa, Alex. It was just a bad dream." charlie sways with the two, something he always used to do when they had nights like these. The twins continue to shake violently, crying in their father's arms.

""I don't wanna be a monster."" they whimper.

"You two could never be monsters." charlie reassures.

I almost feel touched by this scene. Maybe a little guilt? But sometimes, a person just needs a little nudge to get back to reality. It's a nice thought, thinking Bella swan could be anything more than a tool, a pawn, an obstacle. Yet that's all she will ever be something in my way.
