Zap looks at Lincoln, worried about what they're going to do now.
"Pickachu!" Zap says.
He looks at his family, everyone now clearly scared, before getting an idea on how to catch Kyogre before the military makes it even more pissed.
"Leni, we have to talk about uh… Lyra" Rita says, frowning thoughtfully.
"What about her Mom?" She sniffs and sobs a little.
"You can't keep her as your child anymore. I think you should give her to someone else who will... treat her as a real Pokémon instead of a human being. It's not normal!" Rita says.
Rita's words have an instant effect as Leni clutches at Lyra even more. "WHAT?! Why?" Leni asks, demands really. She looks devastated. Lincoln can't help but feel bad for her.
"Because dear, if you bring that thing to school then people will know! It will ruin our family's perfect name forever!" Rita says. The reasoning sounds paper thin even to Lincoln's ears. "Also, I think the rest of you guys should just give me your Pokémon so I can put them somewhere else from now on."
Rita reaches for Lyra immediately, but is stopped by the appearance of Titan and Thunder, who both loom threateningly over her. Zap leaps from Lincoln's shoulder to join the two fully evolved pokemon, and even Thorn sidles up as well. Lily lets out her magikarp, clearly wanting to help, though all it does is flop in place.
"There's no way you're going to send OUR Pokémon to some horrible place and take away Leni's daughter away too!" Lincoln says in anger.
"Yeah, we like our pokémon, mom and we're not going to give them up!" Lana joins in, hands on her hips.
"Bulbasaur!" Thorn said
"Pikachu!" Zap said
"Nidoking!" Titan said
Thunder flaps its wings then, kicking up a gust of wind strong enough to knock Rita to the ground. She looks scared, eyes searching her children's faces for a moment before turning to Lisa.
"Lisa sweetie. If you help me take away those dangerous creatures, I'll let you do whatever you want to them." Rita says "They aren't even supposed to be here. They don't deserve to live, especially Lyra!"
They stare at their mother in shock.
"Oh no she didn't!" Sam says. "Pokémon have the right to live just as much as you! They didn't even do anything wrong! The military started it and thanks to them, what if the god, Arceus comes out of a portal to see us using weapons on his children!" Sam says.
"Who's arceus?" Luna said
"A mythical pokemon, unlike Kyogre, who's classified in-game as a legendary." Lincoln explains, wincing at the very thought of angering such a creature.
"What's the difference between a 'mythical' and a 'legendary' pokemon?"
"Um… not entirely sure. I mean, both are super powerful and one-of-a-kind. Um… in the games, you needed a special event to get ahold of a mythical pokemon. Where as a legendary pokemon could usually just be caught while you were playing the game normally. A lot of the mythical pokemon are weaker than the legendary pokemon stat-wise, but in the TV show they were shown to be capable of some really serious damage still."
"So this Arceus is a mythical pokemon?"
"Yeah, um… in-game, it's definitely a god, or at least revered as such. It's pokédex entry says that people think it created the universe. I think it also created all the pokemon too."
"Uh…" Lincoln cuts in, looking confused. "I don't think they ever actually say that. I mean, creating the universe. Yeah, that was definitely something they said. But they never said anything about it creating all pokemon. It did create Palkia and Dialga, who control space and time respectively! As well as a few others…"
"So another pokemon we have to hope and pray the military doesn't p*** off!"
"Y'know what? Let's just hope that Mewtwo doesn't find out about this, and worry about Arceus when it actually shows up."
Leni stands up." Mom, if you don't like us having Pokémon!" she cuts herself off, looking about the room frantically for a moment before seeming to shore up her courage. "Then we should just run away and never come back!" sShe look at Lincoln, Lisa, Luna, and Lana. "Come on guys, let's pack our stuff!" She holds onto Lyra tightly.
"Ralts ralts?" Lyra is crying.
Leni wipes her tears. "Don't worry everything is going to be fine."
The room's tone went somber.
Silence edged the entire household as everyone just seem to hold onto one another with fear and sadness in their eyes.
Lincoln felt like he would be going into shock, fearing worst by the minute as the faint beep of the tv echoed around him.
He knew what power this beast had, he's been over the days since he first meet Zap the countless tv shows, manga, movies, and basically anything on Pokemon in general.
The fact of just how Kyogre seemed to truly leap out from fantasy, made Lincoln truly question the right for Pokemon to exist in this world, literally.
- Put line break here -
Weeks went by, and news seem to get worst and worst, that the fact the Pokemon eggs Ronnie Ann and Sid found were close to hatching, was the best news everyone's gotten in awhile.
"I can't believe it's almost time! Someone get more blankets, warm water, a camera!"
Lori chuckles and rolls her eyes as Sid shouts excitedly while she holds one of the eggs.
Ronnie Ann smiled and kissed Sid on the cheek next to her, making said animal lover blush speechless, "Relax Sid, only thing we gotta do left is make sure you, Lincoln, and I are the first thing each egg Pokemon sees. So they know who their parent is and all right?"
Sid shakes her head, snapping out of her daze and nods, "Y-yeah, we should probably hatch them in seperate rooms just in case..though I'm guessing you want to pair up with me in a room?"
Ronnie Ann chuckles and nods placing one hand not holding her egg on Sid's shoulder, "Of course, how about we go to Lana and Lola's room?"
With that, the couple goes up the stairs, carefully not dropping their eggs before softly shutting the twin's room door.
Meanwhile, Lori goes into the kitchen where all the Loud sisters were waiting for the moment to happen.
Lana was with Clyde, whom came over early, talking to him about Thorn and how his training's been going.
Clyde had desperately wanted a Pokemon team of his own, perhaps the one he's had in his Pokemon video game similar to the one Lincoln's played recently.
Lisa, already concluding this, had begun the process of making custom pokeballs for the middle schooler. A touch of yellow and blue stripes to match the shirt he seemed to wear everyday.
"Have they hatched yet? What Pokemon are they? Let me see, let me see!" Lola shouts.
Her and Leni have been searching on Leni's phone of multiple cute and adorable Pokemon. Whether any would be hatched from the trio's eggs is yet to be answered.
Lincoln smiles and pets Zap on the head, before grabbing the walkie talkie on his left, "Copy that, let everyone know only one at a time can come meet said baby Pokemon. Don't want to overwhelm them."
"Good idea, good luck on whatever Pokemon you get Snow Hare."
Lincoln chuckles at Sid's nickname for him, "Over and out." With that, he puts the device down on his desk, before looking at the egg on his bed surrounded by many blankets...and Zap, "Easy bud, don't hug the egg too hard."
Zap smiles back at him, cheekily rubbing the back of his head, before letting go of the egg.
That's when they heard two gasps from across the hall.
- Line break here -
"Holy cow!" Ronnie Ann exclaims as she and Sid look frantically, yet excitedly as the eggs in front of them start glowing a bright white light.
"No need to panic now! We just gotta wait till the light dies down and...oh man I don't know if I'm ready to be a parent!"
Ronnie Ann hugs Sid, "Not the time to say things like that! Just follow the plan!"
Sid looks away from the egg at her girlfriend, "Plan? We've barley got an idea!"
Ronnie Ann rubs the back of her neck sheepily, "Uh...improvise?"
Sid would of said something, but then the two see the light simmer down to meer nothing, reveling their Pokemon.
On Ronnie Ann's side, a yellow lizard looked up at her with bright blue eyes, with scales as bright as the sun.
On Sid's side, a purple monkey chimp like creature looks at her, green emerald eyes looking in wonder.
"Sid?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you see the tail of my Pokemon is..."
Sid nearly jumps out of her skin as she runs to the other side of the room and grabs one of Lana's blankets, "Geez! A Charmander, a shiny one, and possibly the one that'll burn the house down before it's last a day on Earth!"
Lets just say both had to fix the room up a lot before introducing their Charmander and Aipom (not before looking on the internet to see their gender, a male and female respectively).
And so, one by one, the Loud sisters came over to see Aries the Charmander, and Mimi the Aipom.
- Line break -
"So now Ronnie Ann and Sid's eggs have hatched, when is mine going to?"
It was an hour later after said egg hatchings, and even with Lisa checking on his egg saying it was in perfect condition (before rushing out to see the actual hatched Pokemon).
"A late bloomer? Though in the case of Pokemon, is that a good or bad thing?" Zap just shrugs at the boy, before laying next to the egg as if to give warmth.
"Hopefully it hatches, otherwise we might be in for an all nighter in case it hatches later."
The two watch the egg, only sometimes casually shaking a bit, but alas, they then continued the same thing even as the sky turned dark.
It didn't take long it seemed for Ronnie Ann and Sid's eggs to hatch, both ironically at the same time.
"It's cause you two were in our room." Lana had exclaimed later.
From Ronnie Ann's egg, a shiny Charmander...which she while she was the first to be seen by the small lizard, didn't mean Lisa wasn't far behind to study such a find. The most unusual thing about the Pokemon wasn't even the brighter scales, but the black colored shading that seem to shade and cascade among the shiny scales.
Meanwhile, Sid's egg hatched into a Aipom, with faint brown spots that Lisa concluded later that such reason is the same as Ronnie Ann's Pokemon, both due to them being the parents and main appearance of said egg turned Pokemon before birth.
