Loud House - Rise of Akira 8

Thanks to my great reviewers I've been getting better in writing sentence structure and not making paragraphs so large. It makes it harder for readers. Today Royal Woods has a pet show and Lincoln enters Akira, however Lana's old dog rival Lacey St. Claire is determined to put the insect in its place. Can Akira win against her pooch Victorie? Much less anything else? The story is still rated K+ for mild descriptions of cartoonish violence and rude/crude humor. Enjoy story chapter 8.

- chapter 8 - Insecta Contesta -begin Night of Fire by Niko

It was a sunny late Saturday morning at Ketchum Park where Lincoln just heard some crazy news from his classmate Girl Jordan. There was a pet show coming up there that afternoon. "Really Girl Jordan? You're entering Ajax?'' Lincoln said getting caught off guard by the news.

Before he heard that he'd been teaching Akira to fetch, no doubt thanks to Leni's comment. Also Akira was being taught how to play dead as well as some heavy weight lifting. As for Jordan's dog Ajax was a Australian Shepard who was mostly white with a few black spots. Despite a rough impression with him from the ill fated pool party Ajax took a liking to Lincoln, mostly because he smelled Charles on him. "Aren't you gonna enter Akira? All contestants are welcomed y'know. See it says so in the flier.'' She pointed out handing him said flier.

Well there it was ''All applicants welcome'' in black and white Lincoln saw, he figured he'd keep the flier in case someone refused to let Akira or some other odd pet in. He heard the familiar sloppy footsteps of his sister Lana chasing after Charles their dog. Like usual they were pretty muddy.

''Oh hey Lincoln Charles and I were just playing around the mud puddles. Without some rain they're drying up.'' Lana said before noticing her brother's friend. "Uh who're you again... Lincoln's got so many friends I lost track of 'em.''

"This one was Lana? The younger tomboy I take it, little Miss Fixit? I'm Jordan... yeah the girl from dodge ball.'' The blonde introduced herself. "This is Ajax my dog.''

The two canines quickly started sniffed around each other a few times, then happily barked apparently getting along just fine. The realization of who the girl was struck Lana like a hammer whose eyes went wide as gold balls. This was the great Girl Jordan? "Oh so you're the one who's beaten his butt so many times in dodge ball... '' Lana said before a glare from her brother made her change her tone. ''Err until Akira beat you I mean. No offense.''

Blowing a little dirt off her nails the older girl didn't mind at all. Seemed her skills preceded her. She was pretty tough at the sport... but she was a good enough sport to concede defeat. Underestimating him, Akira beat her fair and square, he was tougher than he looked. "Eh don't worry about. I suppose I can't stay on top forever y'know. Bound to happen sooner or later. Besides Akira there actually gave me a challenge. Made me break a sweat.'' She said petting his horn.

"Did I hear two certain mongrels are entering in the pet show? Because if you are pack your bags and stay home since you don't stand a chance.'' A certain snooty & familiar sounding girl said from a previous dog show.

It was Lacey St. Claire. The one and only. The nemesis to Lana Loud that is. "Well look what the snob dragged in.'' Lana snickered.

That remark only made Lacey send Lana a death glare to shut her mouth. Not caring for her snotty attitude Jordan put her in her place. "Oh yeah little Miss Snobbypants who're you entering? Hate to say it... But you don't count as an animal.'' Girl Jordan smirked giving Lacey one sick burn of an insult.

Snapping her finger the snobby girl had anticipated this line of questioning. Just in case. "Oh Victorie!'' The younger girl whistled as her prized Maltese came running up to her.

Smirking Lacey knew she had the contest in the bag and she let Jordan and Lana know it. "She's my entry. She'll beat both yer fleabag mongrels. Except you sir... You don't have a dog. Or pet.''

Frowning Lincoln could see why Lana hated this girl so much. She was like an even more snobbish version of Lola, who frankly loved herself. Thought he didn't have a pet did she? Well he'd show her. "Uh yeah I do. He's sitting on my shoulder. See.'' Lincoln said picking his beetle off said shoulder and up close and personal to Lacey's face.

All the blood Lacey had drained from her face as her pupils turned to pinpricks. The creepy crawler even lifted its shades up as if to say "Hey there''. "Eww! Eww! Eww! Nasty! Gross get that slimy thing away from me!" She shrieked desperately trying to swat Akira away from her.

After regaining her calm composure she glared at the oversized fish bait. She still wasn't over the shock Lana's brother was even considering entering that disgusting vermin in the show. "You... ! You're not actually entering that thing are you?'' She blinked still grossed out. "Are you?"

"Yeah of course I am. All applicants are welcome. Says so on the flier.'' Lincoln said showing her the exact paragraph in question.

Yet again Lacey's eyes went to mere pinpricks. As if they hadn't set a record of it already today. She'd forgotten that part of the flier. Any pet could enter including frogs, snakes, scorpions, fish, worms, spiders and who knows what other sorts of disgusting creatures people might be owning. "Curses I forgot about that.'' Lacey growled.

Though she hated them plenty the world over adored such sickening beasts, and the possibility of her winning just shrunk. And of course Lana saw Lacey's legendary reaction and poked more fun at her. "Matter Lacey? Ya scared of the competition already? Got a yellow streak a mile long don't ya.'' She said pointing at her, mocking her girliness.

"No... I don't!'' She spat.

She would not let some mongrel of a pet or even their mutt owner make a fool of her. No sir! This battle was a loss but the war had just started. "You may have won this round Loud but the battle isn't over. You'll rue the day you ever crossed me and Victorie! Go on! Start ruing!'' Lacey threatened as she ran off carrying her dog.

''Wow Lincoln you sure sent her packing for home in a hurry.'' Lana gently elbowing his ribs.

"Anything for my cute baby sister.'' He said patting her shoulder.

"Please don't call me cute.'' The young mechanic flatly told him.

Frankly though Jordan begged to differ, squealing, gently pinching the younger girl's cheek. "Oh c'mon you're adorable. Just look at those chubby-wubby cheeks!''

Making a puke action Lana was not pleased by that remark. "Ugh... If ya say so Jordan.'' Lana grumbled.

-1216 Franklin Avenue

Once back home Lincoln found out several tidbits of shocking news. "Lola? You're entering the show too?'' The whited haired boy gaped very much surprised.

Waving her signature pink ribbon around for the family cat to jump through like hoops Lola confirmed the news. "Yeah, I've been teaching Cliff a few pageant moves. Mostly ribbon dance tricks.''

"Really? I'm entering Fangs as well.'' Lucy said popping up from out of nowhere with Fangs sleeping atop her head.

Everyone that is except Akira jumped halfway out of their skins who didn't even flinch a centimeter. "Lucy will you cut that out! I swear one of these days I oughta put a bell around yer neck! Give us a little warning next time.'' Lola scolded her.

But if the eight year old girl was insulted by that last wisecrack... she did a great job of not showing it. Still Lucy offered a tad more information on other entries for everyone. "Dante from the Mortician Club is entering Captain Ron. His cockatoo.''

"Plus me and Charles. And Lacey and... whatever her dog's name was. Can't pronounce it.'' Lana piped up.

"Seriously? Is practically everyone in town entering this thing?'' Lincoln said glancing at the readers. "Next thing you know Clyde will be telling me he's entering Nepurrtiti.''

Then his cellphone rang, it was Clyde with good news. "Hey buddy I got great news. Guess what I'm gonna be doing? Y'know the pet show coming up, well I'm entering Nepurrtiti.''

Glaring & frowning at the readers Lincoln just jinxed it. "Well I guess walked myself straight into that one. Figures as much.''

The insect apparently plunked its head on the table as if to tell him "Yeah genius you don't say''. "Hmm looks like you embarrassed your beetle brother.'' Lucy pointed out.

-Royal Woods Arena

After a quick ride from their mom the quartet of Loud siblings entered the Royal Woods Arena, ready to register themselves and respective pets. As they waited in line they saw Jordan enter Ajax, Dante entering Captain Ron, little miss snooty Lacey register Victorie, Clyde entering Nepurrtiti with Lola up next. The middle aged woman there issued her the same question she asked the others. ''Alright sweetie your name and pet's name please?''

''Lola Loud and Cliff. Our family cat.'' She said as the lady registered both of them.

Following her twin Lana was up next. ''Ok kiddo your name and your pet's name?''

''Lana Loud. Charles is my dog.'' She said as confident as ever.

Writing down the pairs names the woman was dealing with Lincoln now, and the second she laid eyes on the boy & and his beetle she rubbed her eyes. Then she blinked hoping she was seeing things. "Uh is there some kind of problem?'' He asked her.

''You're seriously entering that? I'm not sure bugs were on the show's itinerary young man... '' She said giving Akira a nasty glare.

Pulling the flier out of his pocket Lincoln showed her the important fine print, as all applicants were welcome to enter the contest. "Hey the flier says its open to all pets. So don't tell me I can't register my beetle.''

The lady was about to lecture him more until Lucy came to his aid, settled on top her head Fangs hissed a bit. "Or my bat Fangs.'' Lucy pointed out sticking up for her brother.

Beat the lady at the register couldn't argue with the fine print on the flier, alright then they were in. "Fine. They're in. From the top contestant name and pet's name please?''

Doing the same Lincoln stated his pets name too. "Lincoln Loud. Yes I bet you're wondering how Loud's are entering this contest? Well you're surrounded by Louds, with four of us: Lana, Lola, Lucy and me their brother. This is Akira my Japanese Rhino Beetle.''

"Lucy Loud and Fangs.'' Lucy repeated grumbling at all this nonsense.

''Fine. Head over that way the staff will set up a booth so you can work out whatever your pet's will be doing.'' The woman added ushering the youngsters on their way.

-soon

Quickly the four siblings were given a set of cubicles close to each other, and began work on their pet acts for the show. Starting with Lana she was coaching Charles in his usual tricks: shake, speak, fetch, roll over, and of course play dead. It wasn't much in the way of fancy dos but was something to do.

She was having trouble keeping the canine focused though, after every one time he did some a trick right he'd chase after his tail the next nine times. "Argh! Come on Charles, we gotta beat that snob!'' She pleaded with her hound to step things up and get serious.

As for Lucy & Fangs, they were doing an obstacle course darkened to the point human eye couldn't see a thing. But to make things difficult for Fangs she blindfolded him. Though in secret it was mostly to impress the judges, Fangs was perfectly capable of navigating in zero thanks to his echolocation ability.

''Come on Cliff come on! Jump! Slide! Jump! Slide!'' Lola coached the family feline. "Then shake!''

Letting out a happy meow Cliff leaped through the loops in the ribbon Lola was twirling around, he jumped through the first then slid under the next one, then repeated it again. Just as fast he pawed at her hand ready to shake. "Now tuck 'n roll!'' She said again as made Cliff dodge the ribbon loops by jumping aside, rolling out of the way, basically avoiding every ribbon loop.

While the girls were practicing their acts Lincoln chatted it up with Clyde, just what kinds of thing was his going to perform? Hoping on the cuteness factor Clyde put a small pink bow on her collar, with shiny silver rhinestones. She was all dressed up for the show. Oh sure she was a cute kitty but cute alone wasn't going make a surefire win. ''So what tricks is Nepurrtiti gonna be doing?'' Lincoln asked his best buddy.

The younger cat of the McBride home looked up at Clyde, her eyes blinked. Despite being a cat she wasn't that good being around so many strangers. Her nose picked up the smells of many other dogs, cats, birds, and other animals. A quick scratch under her chin by Clyde got her mind off her worry. "Well Lincoln you ever seen any of those TV star dancing shows? I managed to think up some kind of sophisticated routine for her. What's your plan with Akira?''

''A few actually. An obstacle course followed by a game of fetch then a test of his strength. But I have plenty planned just in case they don't work.'' Then he noticed the cat was sniffing more intensely, she probably smelled Akira.

The feline using her sniffer gave the beetle's owner an idea. Lincoln knew his pet's very sophisticated tastes in food, maybe that might work. His scent was the thing making her sniffer go into overdrive, trying to figure out just what exactly it was. Time for an introduction Lincoln figured. "Nepurrtiti this is Akira say hi.'' He gently said.

Picking the insect off his shoulder Lincoln set him right in front of the young pussy cat which blinked at her. In turn she took a few quick whiffs of it. She'd no clue what to even think of him. After the few rounds of sniffing, Nepurrtiti blinked making sideways glare at the readers, wondering how'd she even got herself in this mess.

''Oh almost forgot best of luck buddy.'' Clyde said giving his best friend a firm sportsmanlike handshake.

Right behind the quintet was Girl Jordan's booth, practicing with Ajax. She waved hoping she'd get a quick talk with him. Or at least a pep talk. "So lots of pets here eh Linc? You nervous?'' She asked with a sly smile.

''Well Girl Jordan not gonna lie I am a little. I want Akira to win but who knows what the judges will think of him y'know? He's the only creepy crawler entered. Everybody else has a dog or cat, birds, mouse, gerbil, fish, or even a hamster. Heck Lucy entered her bat Fangs. Akira's the only bug entered.''

''She's the one always in black right?'' She asked him pointing at her, which Lincoln nodded confirming her idea. ''Well wish you best of luck. Oh Ajax wish Akira luck too.''

Her canine companion cautiously trotted over to Lincoln with the giant beetle in his hands, he sniffed the oversized arthropod very carefully. It wasn't like anything he'd smelled before. Nothing threatening mind you, just different in the dog's mind. The insect's antennae twitched getting a whiff of the dog's scent, studying it. It wasn't too dissimilar from Charles. "Now Ajax shake with Akira... C'mon it's not hard.'' His owner encouraged him.

The Australian Shepard put his paw up and shook Akira's strong but skinny leg, the two animals finished getting acquainted with each other blinking a few times, for reasons. And with that gesture Lincoln and Jordan went their separate ways each hoping to take home the first prize.

Meanwhile by this point the rest of the Loud family had arrived, as did the McBrides, and pretty much anybody who bought tickets to see this pet styled shindig. "Any idea who'll like win Lori?'' Leni asked her roommate/slash older sister.

''I haven't got a literal clue.'' Lori replied, pet shows were beyond her big sister expertise. She took a seat as Lynn sat just behind her.

''Probably some rich snob and their overpriced cat or some kind of fish. Still don't know why I had to be dragged to this thing. This is gonna be boring.'' A very grumpy Lynn Jr. complained hating being there, she had some hockey swings she need to polish.

Naturally Luan with Mr. Coconuts had to make a cheesy pun like always. "I wouldn't be too sure of that Missy. I happen to be kinda chummy with some termites. Maybe I oughta sick 'em on your baseball bat.'' The puppet said.

''Besides this is gonna be a beast of a show. Get it? But seriously this should be nice to watch. Come to think of it I shoulda entered Gary.'' Luan joked thinking she should've entered her rabbit. Maybe do a few hat tricks with him.

The only reason Lynn was still salty about the oversized fish bait was the fact it made a monkey out of her. Gave her a huge bump, despite their truce against Hank & Hawk she still wasn't too keen about the creature, and her sulking wasn't doing any favors with the rest of her family. ''Enough of your negative prattling elder sibling I'm going to enjoy this contest of skill with the many fauna from the Kingdom Animalia. Street name: All the animals I can see.'' Lisa said holding Lily.

''Goo!'' Lily babbled giving Lynn the raspberries, not happy with her being such a grouch.

Despite recalling music doesn't tame the most savage of beast Luna still brought her guitar, just in case any of her siblings won. That meant victory music of course. She tried to keep herself busy until the show started proper, by tuning her guitar strings. ''This bloody road remains a mystery. And the sudden darkness fills the air dudes. Its anybody's contest. Lincoln and the others can't afford to be innocent, they stand up and face the other entries. Might not be a do or die situation, they'll be invincible so long as they try their hardest.'' She said peppering more varying song lyrics in her speech.

''That's the spirit honey gotta give your brother and sisters some old fashioned cheer Luna.'' Lynn Sr. said patting the rocker's shoulder.

"Same here, though I wonder what they'll all be doing? What kind of acts did they think up dear?" Their mother added genuinely curious. Then the lights dimmed as the show started up. ''Oh everyone it's starting.'' She shushed everybody.

The Show's Emcee took center stage microphone in hand clearing her throat as she started. ''All right, all right ladies and gentlemen from all across Royal Woods we here at Royal Woods Arena are proud to present the Royal Woods Pet Expo. Our entries will go neck and neck to prove which creature has what it takes and be crowned "Royal Woods Best Pet''! Now let's get our show rolling with our great contestants!''

The judges went about telling a bit about each contestant and pet, ranging from more experienced breeders and show runners to many of the amateurs that entered. With so many pros the Loud family wondered if there was any realistic way one of their kids could even win this contest. However despite all their prep and training most of the more experienced contestants were eventually eliminated. Seemed age and experience fell to youthful determination, with only Dante (Captain Ron), Lucy (Fangs), Lola (Cliff), Lana (Charles), Lincoln (Akira), Clyde (Nepurrtiti), Lacey (Victorie), Jordan (Ajax), Liam (Clarence), and oddly enough the little girl Claire (the owner of Watterson).

The ten youths were the last until the judges could decide who'd advance to the semi-finals, but naturally only five of them would even kids went through their pet routines with only Lacey and Lincoln left. Both Victorie & Akira would do their routines for the judges. "All right you both are to perform your pet's routine's for us, so go out there and give us a show!'' The lady judge told them.

Meanwhile up in the audience the other Loud family members could hardly contain their excitement, sure the girl's acts were great: Lola and Cliff's ribbon tricks, Lana's 'tricks' with Charles, Lucy's obstacle course for Fangs, Clyde's ballroom dance with Nepurrtiti were nice but Lincoln's folks really wondered what he could pull off with Akira. And could it compete with Lacey St. Clair? They'd just have to sit back and see.

Whispering to Luan Luna wondered if Lincoln's act would really hold up. ''Dude, ya think Lincoln's act will hold up against that snob?''

''I dunno Lunes maybe he'll be worse than a tissue. Especially one with a little boogie in it. Get it?" Mr. Coconuts joked only to be put away as Luan had something important to say. ''But seriously Luna I don't know if he can. That brat's got way too much experience... and people tend to get creeped out by bugs. What do you think about that girl Lacey Lily?''

''POO-POO!" An annoyed look on Lily said all, and the raspberries she blew.

''Psst. That's our brother and sisters in the show.'' Leni whispered to a random person next beside her.

''Leni no talking to strangers.'' Her mom scolded.

Back at the show another male judge then looked over the two youngsters. "Alright let's see here Lincoln Loud and your pet rhino beetle Akira and Lacey St. Clair and Victorie. Ok kids let's see what you can do.''

The younger girl wasn't happy she had to share the showcasing with a bug, she was going to enjoy putting the little fish bait in its place. For now she'd just sit back and watch what pitiful routine the boy would do with it.

''Well for my first test I'll be hiding three of Akira's favorite cheese's... Gouda, feta, and his biggest fav blue. First I will blindfold Akira, then place the cheese under the cups. Then the old fashioned speedy switcheroo. Now we'll see if he figures where his favorite is hiding.'' Then Lincoln blindfolded Akira, then put the three cheese under a cup switched them all around like a madman possessed.

''Hmm interesting.'' The other male judge commented.

Scoffing Lacey refused to believe the judges were even remotely entertained by this farce of a pet. ''Big deal! Victorie has an impeccable sense of smell.'' Lacey said glaring down at the little bug.

''Oh but Akira has a very sensitive palate, he enjoys the finer things in life. Now get that cheese.'' He said letting go of the beetle.

Swiftly Akira's antennae twitched picking up the scent and flew to the cups. He found his favorite in only a few seconds, and began munching on it. Seeing the insect's skills Lacey muttered again. ''Again big deal.''

The trio of judges clapped a bit for Akira's performance, but Lacey was silently fuming. Lincoln Loud had the dumb judges eating out of his hands, and she couldn't stand it! What was so great about his bug? Huh? Darned if she could figure it out. Now it was her Victorie's turn. "Alright now let me show you how a pro does it.'' The younger girl said with a smirk.

Quickly she had her dog get into a balancing act standing on one of her hind legs, balancing a baton atop her nose. The pooch balancing act was clocked at a whopping ten minutes. With a snap of her fingers Lacey gave the signal to do a back flip, catch the baton and land on four paws. The judges erupted with clapping. ''Beat that!'' Lacey hissed.

Arching his eyebrow Lincoln went backstage for a moment, now dragging a large wagon holding a big rock. He used a crowbar to force the rock out of the wagon and on the show floor. "Yeah but can your dog do this? Akira lift that rock!'' He ordered.

Twitching the claws on his two front legs Akira grabbed hold of the large stone. As far as Lacey saw it was four to five times the bug's size. In her mind there was no way, no way Akira could even lift something that heavy. Then the little creature gave it the old heave ho. "C'mon Akira flex those beetle muscles!'' Lincoln cheered on his pet.

At first the stone stood fast until the soil around it started moving, as Akira hoisted the huge rock high above its head with his two front legs. Then his owner threw in some smaller rocks for Akira to juggle for amusement.

The look of shock Lacey had was the stuff legends were made of, her eyes wide as saucers. Even the judges were in shock and started clapping loving the whole act. Something so small with that much muscle power? Near guaranteed a shot at the top five semi-finals. The announcer was equally impressed. ''Wow! That was an impressive show of strength but let's see what the judges think, judges?''

All three of them began whispering amongst themselves, both the youngsters were about ready to bite their nails off in anticipation. Who was going to advance and who was going to lose?

''All right looks like our judges have made their decision. Which of our fine contestants will advance to the Semi-Finals? We'll find out after these messages so don't touch that dial.'' The announcer lady said as the show cut to commercial.

After a few minutes the three came to a decision. It wasn't easy though. ''Alright now all of you have done very well to come this far, I wish we could let you all go to the finals. But only five can advance and without further waiting we're revealing the Semi-Finalists.'' One judge explained but his face softened as he read off the eliminated. "Dante and Captain Ron sadly you will be advancing further. But as third place you'll be given a consolation prize package. Maybe we'll see you next year.''

The woman judge looked at the likes of Jordan and Clair, with a heavy heart she gave the bad news. ''Jordan and Ajax I'm sad to say you won't be advancing to the semi-finals. Clair and Watterson sorry to say the same for you. But you will be receiving the consolation prize.''

Reading through the remaining entries the other male judge sadly gave Liam the news. ''Liam and Clarence we're so sorry. But congrats on getting the consolation prize. Hope we see you at the next show.''

And thus it had come to the last elimination before the semi-finals, would any of the Loud's be eliminated? Would Clyde? Or would it be Lacey? Each of the six youngsters were sweating bullets nervously hoping they'd be continuing in the show. After what seemed an eternity the woman judge spoke up. ''Well it was a difficult choice but Lacey St. Clair we're sorry to say this but you will not be advancing to the semi-finals. Lincoln Loud congratulations.''

The next look of shock and disappointment on Lacey's face was even more legendary, she couldn't believe this she and her Victorie had lost to a boy and his bug. A bug! Sulking she led her pooch back to the audience unknowingly sitting next to the boy's genius sister. She ranted and raved how this was complete and utter nonsense. How could she lose?

Naturally Lisa was getting tired of hearing her whining. ''How do you like that?! This was supposed to be about my Victorie! And her victory! So what do they do? They pick an unknown. Can you believe this and of all things a disgusting bug!'' The bitter snob ranted sitting herself and her dog next to Lisa, who seemed distracted. Almost like she'd lost something. "Hey kid this what you're lookin for?'' Lacey asked Lisa picking up her umbrella.

"Why yes. It is.'' Lisa replied then whacking Lacey right square on her head, leaving her in a daze. "Maybe now you example of a Cro-Magnon diminish the cacophony so I can offer nurturing pleasantries to my sibling units. In other words shut your pie-hole so I can support my brother and sisters!"

''That's what I call a showstopper Lisa. Get it? But seriously thanks for shutting her up.'' Luan said patting the young genius's head for a job well done. ''Oh looks like they're getting ready to pick a winner. Get it? But seriously I think the judges are ready to see who wins this thing.''

Very quickly the judges gazed over the remaining participants, though it would be nice if they all won first place sadly only one could obtain certain victory. ''After much deliberation we have decided there can be only one winner in this battle of pets, and I have decided... Lincoln Loud you and Akira have demonstrated the most unusual bond I've seen in a pet in who knows how long."

''I second it. Lincoln Loud despite Akira being the strangest entry we've had over the many years I'll admit he's impressed me with his juggling ability.'' The lady judge explained.

"With me its a three for three. Congratulations young man, you've just won the Royal Woods Pet Expo.'' The last judge said confirming it. "Akira has won the title of "Royal Woods Best Pet''.''

Despite hearing he's won first place, Lincoln stood there rooted on the spot. His brain couldn't register it, he'd been overshadowed by the achievements of his sisters for so long it seemed like a mere dream he'd actually won. His legs went numb and buckled under him. "Geez Linky don't pass out on us!'' Lola griped catching him before he fell on his face. "Congratulations.''

"Easy there bro... '' Lana said helping her. "Big cheers for ya.''

Despite her saddened by losing Lucy was nevertheless supportive of her brother, she even gave him a tiny smile. "Congrats on your win brother.''

The lead judge handed him a decent looking gold trophy, with curled wing-like handles. ''Alright before we end the show a small speech if you please... ''

Stumped on what to say, Lincoln eventfully settled on a few simple things. "I don't have much to say about my win except maybe a few shout-outs to a few of my family: Leni for making him those nice shades, Lisa who kinda left him to me thanks to her teacher, my mom who let me keep him, and my dad whose great cooking is loved even by a beetle. Oh and my dad's place Lynn's Table is open. Swing by if you wanted good old-fashioned food made from scratch every day.''

The words he spoke touched his whole family's heartstrings, even Lisa who's generally impervious to human emotions burst into tears and sobs over what her brother said. And as you'd expect Leni joined in with her, crying in joy.

''Thank you Lincoln.'' His mother silently said tearing up.

In fact not even Mr. Loud Sr. was immune to his son's kind words. ''That's my boy... '' His father softly said before crying a happy fountain of tears.

And thus this was the tale of how Lincoln Loud added another win to his section of the trophy case. But what sorts of hi-jinks and misadventures would Lincoln and Akira get into next? Only the passage of time would tell, but that is a story for another day.
