TRIVIA: When was D captured last?
?-?
"D," Donna said as she walked into his office, frowning.
"Yeah." He replied, typing at his computer.
"Do you feel like you're being watched?" She asked.
"Watched?" He confirmed, pausing in his typing to lean back and look at her. "No."
Donna shrugged, unsure of what she was feeling. "Oh well. If it was anything, you'd know better than me."
"Why? Do you feel watched or something?" He concernedly asked.
"Yeah," she replied. "But you'd know the feeling better than me, you dealt with it every day."
"Yes, true, but I also think that your intuition has merit as well. How many times did I ignore or miss something about the kids growing up?"
She smiled, remembering. "True. But, in all fairness, that was womanly type things. This is a Special Agent type thing."
He smiled widely at her as the doorbell rang. "I'll get that."
She nodded, watching her husband get up from his desk, walk out of the room to the front door.
"Yes?" She heard him say, then a few loud thumps and moans.
"D!" She exclaimed, running to the front door, only to be knocked out upon entering the hallway.
?-?
"Hey," Jack said as he and Sue got out of the car after parking in front of D and Donna's home, only to find Bobby already there, pacing in front of his car.
"Something's wrong." Bobby worriedly said.
"I know something's wrong. We have a perp on the loose." Jack replied.
Bobby shook his head. "No, something's wrong with D and Donna. Their front door is open."
He worriedly looked at the home, to notice the door slightly ajar. "Have you gone inside?" He asked, looking back at his friend.
Bobby shook his head. "I was waiting for you, waiting for backup."
Jack nodded. "Let's go. Sue, stay by the car."
Sue nodded, worried about their friend, saying a quick prayer as she watched the two agents stealthily run up the driveway, then the path, guns at the ready.
"FBI!" They yelled upon entering. "D, Donna, you here?" They asked, entering every room.
"Are they there?" Sue worriedly asked a few minutes later when the men came out, their heads hanging low.
Jack slowly shook his head as he took her into his arms. "No, they're gone."
She quickly hugged them upon reading what he said. "Please, God. Let them be safe." She whispered.
?-?
Where could they be?" Myles asked. It was about an hour later, and Jack, Bobby and Sue all were back at the bullpen.
"If only we did something more! We could've avoided this!" Bobby exclaimed, pausing from pacing to slam his hand into the file cabinet next to his desk. The outcome was him wincing and waving his hand in pain.
Mya hid her laughter at the scenario, then immediately turned serious. "You couldn't've known. We did everything right. He's flying so low under the radar, no one could've known."
"But we should've! We're better than that! We're better than him!" He complained.
"We may be, but Mya's right. What's done is done. Now we need to rectify it." Sue added, seeing the conversation.
"Yes, we do. Now, what do we know?" Bobby replied, determinedly sitting at his desk again. "We have to have some idea where Kevin could've taken them.
Sarah shook her head as she walked to his desk, handing him a piece of paper. All his known hangouts were seized, and no new ones have popped up." She said, then nodded towards the sheet. "This is a list of all his past known locations. I have officers checking out each and every one."
"Anything?" Jack asked.
She shook her head in reply. "Not yet."
"Then let's figure out where they are."
She sharply nodded, then wheeled on her heel to go back to her desk, the whole team more determined than ever to find their friend.
?-?
"Whe-where are we?" Donna grumbled as she came to, finding herself and D in a dark, dingy, small room with a little tiny window way at the top of the wall.
D slowly shook his head, winching from the headache he had. "Don't know."
"Can we get out of here?"
"We're kinda tied up at the moment." He replied, slightly lifting his hands, which were bound, pointing with one hand to their feet as well. Donna sighed, unsure what to do. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you." He added.
"What?" She replied. "Don't say that! You did! He just moved faster than you."
D chuckled at his wife, despite their situation. "Yes, I'm not as agile as I once was."
She smiled back. "No you're not, but I don't mind, usually. Right now, a care a bit because I would really enjoy getting out of this cold, dark room! Can we get out of here?"
D looked around the empty room, then shook his head at his wife. "Even if there was a way to get out, there's nothing in here to get these things off." He said, holding up his bound hands.
Donna searched her brain with her eyes. "You've been captured before, what did you do?"
He let out a breath before replying. "Pray for my safety. And also knowing my team was close behind was a real comfort."
"But they don't know we have been captured. No one knows." She replied, realization sinking in.
He sadly shook his head. "No. So that means we need to pray real hard, and hope someone realizes we're missing."
"Did, did you have any meetings you needed to be at, friends to see, talk to, anything this evening?"
"No." He replied.
"Me either. Oh dear."
"What's wrong?" He asked.
She looked at her husband with the saddest look he had ever seen. "No one will realize we're missing till tomorrow morning at 9, when you don't show up to work. We're going to be stuck here all night, no one none the wiser!"
"Shhh," D replied, scooching over to comfort Donna.
"Isn't it something like if someone's not found within 24 hours, they're good as dead?" She asked, tears starting to fall.
"That's regarding children. We're going to be alright. You'll see." He replied, glad she was turned away from his face, he himself crying as well. "Please, God, keep us safe." He quietly whispered.
