Chapter Seven: The Princess and The Beast?
Flashback
"I am planning to release 5 chapters before the end of the year… I hope… Boy scouts honor."
…
…
…
I never joined the boy scouts so technically speaking I have nothing to be sorry for, But I will now do what I know is best… another pledge!
Ahem*
I will... try my best to release one chapter per week… on Sundays.. I hope.
ALSO PLEASE LOOK AT THE END OF THE CHAPTER, I NEED YOUR GUYS HELP WITH SOMETHING.
Ahh, I don't think I ever mentioned what the EMIYA family is wearing so here is a quick summary that I may or may not add to the story at a later date.
Kiritsugu
Fate zero attire. In other words basic suit, might be magically enhanced? and his epic trench coat. He also carries a duffle bag.
Irisviel
Same attire as when saber vs lancer at the port. In other words a white snow attire dress with an epic-looking white hat….thing, I think they have a name for it, can't think of it off the top of my head.
Shirou
Dark blue track pants, Black long sleeves shirt, and a dark bluish overcoat which he discarded when fighting the first two homunculi.
Anyway let's get to the reviews… holy crap I have 320 followers and 289 favorites, omg I don't deserve this.
Review
SPYRO 101
That is the general plan but probably it will end up a lot more different than what you're thinking. So stay tuned and find out, probably next chapter you will start seeing the build-up to it. No promises though.
Alharethabdelmonum
Thanks for all the tips, which I believe have partially been added in this chapter and a majority will be added next time.
Holyx23
Thanks, Having Shirou have weaponry makes him more versatile anyway, I never understood why Shirou's origin was turned into a sword when Avalon is clearly a sheath. Therefore I found it more… reasonable for it to be weaponry. Hopefully, the next chapter will come out faster.

Ask and you shall re-... one day receive!

Haha… yea I am never gonna make a promise like that again lol. But I will try posting at least a chapter per two weeks. Hoping for per week, but that might be asking too much honestly.
Also, I don't know if it's there yet but I have posted a cover image, for now, it means nothing, it's for the long term, but you are free to guess what It could mean.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything in relation to what I write, I either stole it off Wikipedia, the type-moon/fate wiki or I used my non-existent brain cells to produce this work (if you can even call it that). I probably stole some other stuff as well but we don't talk about that. Also, I know crappy titles, It's a WIP.
Outside Of The Castle:
"WHY DO I KEEP COMING BACK HERE!" a certain little girl yelled out.
Illyasviel von Einzbern was starting to dislike the current situation she was in. She was at this current time running away from the castle she had just escaped from but no matter how many times she tried to run towards the forest she would keep ending up back at the castle.
"The old man must have made some changes to the bounded field," she told herself. It was the only logical conclusion. She had been taught some basic magecraft by her two teachers Sella and Leysit before they were taken away from her two months ago. Her 'grandfather' had taken them away after they had protested against the ritual to make her into something called a vessel.
'None of that is important now. All that matters is that I get back to papa before anyone finds me.' She then made a mad dash towards the forest.
Inside the Throne room
Kiritsugu's smirk slowly changed into a frown while he watched in disappointment as the head of the Einzbern pushed the RPG upwards and fell face flat upon a snowfield.
"Damn, I was really hoping that would do the trick. Guess I underestimated him quite a bit." Kiritsugu said as he loaded another RPG into the launcher.
"Well, that's what you get for underestimating the head of one of the three founding families who built the holy grail system," Irisviel said.
"You should probably contact Shirou to see where he is right now," he said while ignoring his wife's remarks.
"Already on it," she said as she had already taken out the walkie-talkie.

"Hello, Shirou, can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can mom. I suppose you are calling to check-in?"
"Yes, that's correct. Have you found Illya yet?"
"Well kinda."
"What do you mean by 'Kinda'?" she asked slightly worried.
"Well Illyasviel may or may not have climbed out of the window by tying a bunch of blankets together, and she may or may not have headed to the minefield you and dad set up while I was distracting the hordes of homunculi."
"What do you mean by may or may not have headed to the minefield!?" Iri asked in even more worry.
"Well I'm following her tracks at this very moment and to my surprise, she always seems to turn around to head back towards the castle. At first, I speculated that she may have just gotten scared but at the number of times it has happened it seems that there may be something making her go back," he said in a confused tone.
"Well, that doesn't make any sen-"
"It's probably a bounded field." Kiritsugu interrupted, cutting her off.
"What do you mean by that father?" Shirou asked, puzzled by his father's deduction.
"Well, I think by the given information it's more than likely the golem added something to the field that causes specific people to come back. Hence why Shirou, and most likely us as well, are able to get out while people such as Illyasviel who might have been marked are forced to come back."
"You got all that from us following a few zig-zags," he replied in amazement.
"Well, what do you expect from someone who's practically studied a bounded field his entire life," Irisveil said.
"That's fair I suppose. Anyway, by looking at the trail left behind I reckon that she might reach the back entrance of the throne room in a couple of minutes."
"Then we should finish him off quite quickly. Shirou you should go in a straight line, you're faster than her so you should be able to get to her. Hopefully, we're able to finish off the threat before either of you two gets to us."
"Understood. Be safe."

"Irisviel, it's time," he said. During the time of their conversation, Kiritsugu had been reloading the rocket launcher and loading another round into his Calico M950
"Of course, of course. I tie him up again while you get ready to blow him up. Then we rinse and repeat until he's nothing but dust."
"Precisely," Kiritsugu replied with a smirk.
Irisviel then materialized several wires which were then transformed into five great swords. She then launched four of them in the outline of a horizontal rectangle towards the wall underneath the hole created by their earlier attack. The last remaining projectile was then launched dead center of the now cracking rectangle and when it hit the wall collapsed creating a straight path towards their target who was at this moment getting up.
"Iri, how many constructs were you able to form in the hallway?"
"Around 40 but I can create more at any moment," she said as four wired birds appeared at her side.
"Good that should be more than enough." Kiritsgu then grabbed the duffle bag while placing the RPG launcher over his shoulder and started heading towards the gapping exit with Irisviel.
However, both of them stopped in their tracks when…
"Lass das Monster Los!"
Both of them looked towards the thing they had just launched through the wall and it sent such a shiver down their spines that they froze in place immediately.
He was angry, that was something they knew for certain. But underneath all that anger was a smile. It was not a smile of someone who was humoring themselves of how they had just got played. Instead, it was a smile of sadistic proportions. It was a smile that promised death. It was a smile that guaranteed death. It was the smile of someone … who knew they could not lose due to the ace they had up their sleeve.
"What the fu-" Kiritsugu tried to blurt out but was interrupted by something that could only be considered one of the worst things a person could ever hear.
"RR OOOO AAAA RRRR!"
Both the Magus Killer and the former Vessel of the Holy Grail instantly close their eyes while grasping their ears over the shrieking roar that was causing their eardrums to feel like they had been electrified.
When the roar had died out both of them opened their eyes and looked towards each other.
"What the hell was that?" Irisviel asked.
"It doesn't matter, this just proves for certain that we have to finish everything before possibly Illya gets here," he answered.
Irisviel merely nodded as she reinforced her legs and ran towards the exit with Kiritsugu also following along.
When they had reached the exit that they had created they continued on their rushed pace, never looking back for a second. Irisviel then called upon two of her familiars and turned them into two large broadswords. They instantly launched at their intended target, who was still smirking despite the threat coming towards him. Kiritsugu bent down on one knee and was waiting for the swords to make an impact that was to give him the perfect opportunity to blast his opponent to oblivion.
However, that opportunity never came due to the swords being shattered into thousands of pieces by a very large thing landing on them from the sky. The very large thing had also created a huge smokescreen of snow which had obscured their line slightly. It came at such a speed that he could not tell what it was.
When the smokescreen created by the snow had subsided slightly, Irisveil who was in front could see the silhouette and the sight of it instantly caused shivers to go down her spine. "No, but that is not possible. There is no way that he has enough resources for that." she blurted out in horror.
"Iri, do you care to explain what that thing is because judging by what you just said you seem to have a slight clue," he said while lowering his RPG launcher. However, instead of answering him, she called upon twenty of the forty bird familiars she had stored inside the hallway. Each of which turned into very large broadswords.
"Kerry, I suggest if you want to live you fire that toy of yours this very instant. I hope that I am wrong about what that thing is, but if I am right we may be in a bit of trouble."
Kiritsugu, not wanting to die, decided not to question his wife's judgment and took aim at the unidentified possible threat. When he was ready he launched the RPG and it did not take long to hit its mark which caused a very large explosion and at the same time a cry of monstrous proportion, signaling the thing had been hit.
Irisviel then proceeded to launch twenty swords at the explosion which resulted in larger snow explosions as well as cries, while she proceeded to dash back to her husband. What she didn't notice was however that something had dropped out of her pocket.
"Irisviel, you care to explain yourself now?" Kiritsugu asked in a serious manner.
She sighed. "Look I'm sorry for not giving an explanation but given the circumstances, I believe I made the right call," she said.
"While your apology is considerate, that is not what I'm talking about. I want to know what that thing is."
"Well it would be better if you saw for yourself." she then turned while pointing and said. "Look, the snow clouds clearing."
She watched her husband as the snow was clearing and was revealing the thing they had just blasted. She was expecting several faces to appear, all of which stemmed from horror or hopelessness. However, none of those faces came, instead of a face of relief which highly confused her.
"It's Illya!"
Irisveil at first confused turned her head, and saw her darling angel who was currently wiggling out of a pile of snow that must have engulfed her when they attacked the thing. This put a smile on her face because now she knew her daughter was still safe. However, that smile quickly turned into a frown because now she was in the line of sight of that thing.
She then heard Illya scream "Oh no no no no no. If he really did finish that project then he can control it freely as much as he wants. Kiritsugu we must-" she turned her head but Kiritsugu was no longer there.
'No no no no no, I did not survive the holy grail war and come all the way out here just to see my precious Illya to die!' Kiritsugu practically screamed inside his head. Luckily he had more than enough time to reach and even more so with his personal take on the Emiya magecraft.
Innate Time Control. It is Kiritsugu's personal application of the Emiya family's magecraft. Although his family had spent generations researching and seeking the magecraft that controls time, eventually reaching "Time Manipulation", which is the ability to separate the passage of time inside a designated space from the "flow of time" in the outside world. It can be classified as a High-Thaumaturgy in the form of a Bounded Field that can be regarded as a type of Reality Marble, but still not something that is that extraordinarily difficult to utilize like other time-related magecraft or something on the level of the True Magic that is unable to be replicated.
It allows for "time adjustment" that can only stagnate the time which has passed and accelerate time in the future rather than something more advanced like "time modification", which has the ability to reverse cause and effect and change the past. The major problem with the original design of the spell is that the practitioner needs to consider the size of the Bounded Field and the scope of time, based on those calculations that will need to be modified. It requires a large amount of magical energy and similar rituals in the same magnitude of High-Thaumaturgy to activate it. It would normally be applied to a wide area and a long period of time, taking longer to set up and more magical energy to utilize it as the Bounded Field becomes larger and the deviation in time becomes longer.
Due to this, It is not an ability that can be used on the battlefield where strategies must be quickly made in order to survive, as it must be prepared beforehand and used strategically even after the preparations. The Magic Crest of the Emiya family, in addition to this, contains generations of inherited research, most of which is still with the association as Kiritsugu only has a fragment of it, but that is unimportant to him.
It was a useless inheritance until he found a way to use it to its maximum potential in a combat situation. He worked around the issue of size and magical energy consumption by creating a flexible method of utilizing it on a small scale that only applies to himself. This allows for the establishment of the Reality Marble at any given time without the need for extended rituals. It is impossible to completely isolate the flesh from the outside world, but with this ability, he can minimize the effect the outside world has on the body. Keeping the range of the spell to a minimal bounded field within his own body doesn't allow for the world to be affected, but rather allows for Kiritsugu to "adjust" a few seconds of time within his own body. In order to activate the spell, he must utilize a chant, and that chant is.
"Time alter - square accel!" the Magus Killer howled as he picked up speed.
When Illya had once again walked back to the castle she was expecting, more or less, the same scenery. Stone castle walls, snow on the grass, a few withered trees due to the winter, normal stuff. Which were all there. What she had not expected was to hear a giant screech, which led to a giant snow cloud appearing in the distance, which was then led to another snow cloud appearing which was accompanied by a rather large explosion which was then followed by more slightly smaller snow clouds. Being the curious and brave eight-year-old girl she was, she started running in that very direction.
As she was running however she was engulfed in a wave of snow, which became a pile in which she was under. She slowly wiggled her way out of it and as she did she was greeted with the most terrifying thing she had ever seen in her life.
It was huge, at least 15 meters while crouching which meant it could be up to 17 meters in full height. Its legs were covered in brown fur which was stained in the color of red, blood red. Its toenails were way overgrown and were also stained in the color of blood red. Its arms were the same, covered by fur, tainted in red blood, while its fingers, not fingers, claws were at least a meter in length, also shaded in blood. It also reeked of what one could only describe as death.
One would expect a creature whose body is like this to have some sort of elk-like head. This one did not, instead what it had was three separate torsos hanging in its neck and shoulder region. One on the left shoulder, one on the right shoulder, and one in the middle. Each of them looked the same, in that they were all freakishly horrific. The legs were sprouted up towards the sky which kinda made them like antlers, while the arms tangled underneath. However, what truly frightened her was what was in the middle section of each torso. There was a hollowed-out region that contained yellow glowing eyes.
"EEEEE KKKKKKK!"
She screamed hoping that someone would save her. No one came, instead, the monster simply looked at her as it lifted one of its arms and took aim at the child.
"Do not kill her, she is an essential part of my plan to take the grail and get revenge from that person!" came a voice behind the beast. "But since you are already in motion grab her so we can use her as a hostage against these annoying pests."
"Grandfather" Illya muttered in a frightened tone.
The beast merely grunted at its master's order and as the arm reached above its head it immediately opened it up and moved it in the direction of the girl.
As the arm came towards her only one phrase escaped her lips. She closed her eyes and screamed the only words a child her age would say. "DADDY SAVE ME!" She knew it was impossible but what else was she supposed to do. Her mother was gone and the only person who would care about her safety would be her father.
She then waited for the inevitable pain of being grabbed and taken back to the place she did not want to return...
…
…
…
However, it never came. Instead, she felt the cold breeze hit her face. It was as if she was being… carried? Soon the feeling dissipated and she slowly opened her eyes.
"Huh but that's not.." tears started drifting down her cheek. But these were not the tears of sadness, nor were they tears of absolute horror. No, they were tears of complete joy. "Papa is that really you"
And all she got was a smile that assured her that her prayers had been answered.
"Of course it is, who else could I be," he said in a reassuring tone.
"But grandfather said that-"
"It doesn't matter what he said. I told you didn't I, that I would come back for you. And I am here as promised." he said as he slowly put down his daughter.
Illyasviel wiped the tears on her cheek and enveloped her father in a hug. "Papa, thank you for saving and coming back for me. They were about to do some- papa look out behind you".
Kiritsugu turned back and to his surprise, the monster had caught up to him, but before he could he could do anything the beast was instantly bound by wires.
Illya got a second chance to examine the beast with her own eyes and realized she had missed something, she wished she had still missed. The beast had a head above the three torsos dangling in its upper chest area. Its head resembled a deer's head… if that deer head had been thrown into a pool of acid to burn away half its flesh, then thrown into a bonfire to blacken the already rotting skin and flesh, and finally stained in blood to make it look like it had just feasted on something.
She was just about to scream again, but suddenly a voice invaded her ear. A voice that made her feel like all her troubles in the world had disappeared.
"Kiritsugu hurry this way." came a voice from the direction of the castle.
"That voice, could that be mo-" before she could finish her sentence she was grabbed bridal style and rushed in the direction of the voice by her father.
When they had made it out of the clearing, Illya instantly confirmed her suspicions. It was indeed her mother. When they had reached where she was she practically jumped out of kiritsugu's hold and ran right away towards her mother. Her mother on the other hand bent down on one knee and opened her arms. When Illya had reached her she gave her a tight squeezing hug. "Mommy your back. Daddy as well." she said relieved.
"It's good to see you as well Illya. Now we can all be together again. But first, we should hurry out of here, my wires won't hold that thing for long." she said giving her daughter an equally tight hug.
"Um apologize for spoiling the mood. But I believe we should contact Shirou and get out here" Kiritsugu said, as he interrupted the heartfelt moment, not wanting to stay in the area of that thing.
Illya being puzzled asked "Who is Shiro?" while tilting her head.
"You will meet him really soon. You see he is your bro-," Irisviel paused immediately. "Kiritsugu I appear to be missing the walkie-talkie," she said while putting her hand in her empty pocket.
"What, how can that be? Did it fly out of your pocket when you launched your familiars?" he asked, highly concerned.
"Maybe, I really don't know," she said with uncertainty.
"Perfect," he said while looking around. He sighed. "There's no use looking for it seeing as the snow clouds must have covered it by now."
"Then how will we contact Shirou?" She asked realizing the dilemma she put them into.
"Gimme a second to think." He weighed his options and came up with three possible solutions, both of which were unfavorable seeing the current situation.
"Well?"
He took a deep breath and listed the options. "The first option is to abandon Shirou and hope he realizes we have left and will hopefully follow."
"No! Absolutely not!" Irisviel practically yelled at him.
"Relax Iri, I am also against it which is why I came up with two more options."
"Ok tell me the other two options," she asked hoping they were better than the first.
Illyasviel who was still within the warmth of her mother and listening to the conversation between her parents looked even more puzzled. 'Just who is this Shirou? He must be important if mommy is this angry for dad's plan to simply let him fend for himself' she questioned in her head.
"Option two is for one of us to stay and wait for Shirou while the other takes Illya outside of the forest."
Irisviel thought about it for a second and realized this was a possible plan. She let her grip over Illya go as she stood up. "That means I will have to stay behind as I know the most about the thing more than anyone else here."
"Absolutely not! I will stay as I have the best chance of surviving the longest before Shirou can arrive. Besides Iri I have lost you once, I don't want to lose you again."
"While that's sweet of you dear 'husband' I can assure you I can take care of me. You take Illya and leave, you can get her out of here the fastest so it should be you."
"I am faster than that thing and can stall it long enough. You leave with he-"
"What is option number three!?" Illya practically yelled at them, angry that she was being ignored over this .. Shirou.
The two of them instantly looked down at the pouting snowball and realized they had been ignoring her. Irisviel then motions her husband to say option number three.
"Option number three is quite simple. We all stay here and wait for Shirou to arrive."
"While that does sound like a good option, wouldn't that put Illya in danger," she said while looking back at the snowball.
"I can handle myself," she said while balling up her fists and blushing.
"Hence why it's option number three. Basically one of us will have to constantly watch over her until Shirou will arrive…." he said while going into deep thought.
"What are you thinking Kerry?"
"Can Shirou defeat it?" he asked in genuine curiosity.
"Good question." she then began to think. "Under the right circumstances, I believe so."
"Then that is what we will do. We will keep this thing busy until Shirou arrives and then he can take it out." Kiritsugu then crouched down to his daughter's level. "Illya I know we have just been reunited, but I need you to go hide somewhere in the castle where it's safe.
"But-" she wanted to rebut but she was interrupted.
"Please Illya do as your father asks, just wait a little bit longer and we will go to a home where we can finally be a real family."
"ok, I suppose I have waited this long. But please come back," she said as she enveloped both of her beloved parents. To which both of them smiled and embraced her back. She then gave them one final nod and ran towards the gaping hole in the castle.
"Are you sure that was the correct choice?" Irisviel asked.
"It's safer there than out here. Besides I'm willing to bet that there are no guards left in there due to Shirou distracting them."
"Fair point I suppose. Now then shall we get this over with?" She said and turned to see the monster standing beside his master. "It was quite nice of you to wait for us, former head."
"Well, I felt it was my duty to allow the last goodby between a parent and child. After all, I am no barbarian and I didn't want it to go around that I won this fight by a mere sneak attack. Let it be known to the world, the infamous Magus Killer was brought down in a fair fight." the centuries-old golem said grinning ear to ear.
"Fair fight my ass," Irisviel responded.
"Now, now, that is not the type of language the head of the Einzbern should be using." He said while starting to grin.
"Yes I suppose you're right and as the head of the Einzberns," Irisviel said while beginning to smile "I order you to die." She then called upon two bird familiars and sent them in the direction of the golem.
"Not gonna happen." he simply responded as the beast beside him roared as he smashed the wired creations into pieces.
Thus a battle once again began. Power vs intellect. Beast vs Man. Who would win, only time could tell.
SO… What should I name the thing? Plz, post it in the review cause I am going insane just thinking about it. (THIS IS THE THING I NEED HELP WITH)
Also, what do you guys think of my little twist? No matter how many stories I read on Illya rescue missions, I never saw a single one actually have an Einzbern secret weapon. I mean they have been around for a long ass time, so one would assume they would have some sort of safeguard if, for example, the MA decided to invade them or something thereof. Maybe that secret weapon was not so… nightmare-fuels.
Anyway it's been a while but you know the drill
Review, follow, favorite… Criticize it for how terrible it is? And finally
- Kingsman Emperor was never here tell nobody
