Author's Note: I don't own the rights to Zootopia, that would be Disney. Rated M for violence, language and sex.

Chapter Eight: All Talk

ZPD Precinct One

Judy, Nick, Danny and Liz sat in Bogo's office, where a mysterious brown mustang with white spots in a government suit presided over them. "ZIS has been watching Phoenix for years," said the horse, "we've come close a few times, in Yakistan, Bullivia and Lambodia, but he's managed to slip through our grasp every time."

"Question," said Nick raising his paw, "what could you possibly want out of us, and who are you to order us around." "That's classified," replied the horse. "Classified my ass," barked Danny, "everything my dad gave a shit about up to the moment he died was classified. ZIS didn't have shit on Shadow Company."

"What's your name kid," asked the horse to the kangaroo. "Tell me yours first," replied Danny, "I'm not going to trust a shadow creature like you without so much as a name." The horse looked at Danny's nameplate, then he backed down, "McBoot, isn't it? I knew a kangaroo by that name back during Vietpaw." "So what," said Danny, "there were lot's of kangaroos that went by McBoot."

"Now can you tell us who you are," asked Nick. "Fine," sighed the horse, "my name is John Stallion, ZIS." He then turned his attention to Nick, "And I'm here to see what intel you have on Phoenix."

"I've learned more than I could possibly want to know," said Judy emotionally, "he's my brother." "There's that," said Nick, "and he seems to really hate me for doing his sister." "If you think you can take him down like you did Colonel Spotzen," said Stallion, "you're out of your mind. As much as we were relieved to hear that the bastard's dead, we really wanted him alive." "How about we let bygones be bygones," said Liz Fangmeyer, speaking up for the first time in this debacle, "and share what we know about that animal."

Stallion turned on the screen in the corner of the office, showing some sort of satellite surveillance image. "This estate was purchased by a dummy corporation out of Howlgary," said Stallion, pointing to the massive, waterfront compound in what appeared to be the Rainforest District, "a lot of construction took place over the past few months after the property was purchased and we have been unable to access the current plans. Somehow," he continued, switching to a close up of the dock, showing a small freighter docked there, "they've managed to avoid both the MDF and the Coast Guard to bring in supplies to Zootopia."

"What else is there to this," asked Judy. "This is the even more classified stuff," replied Stallion, switching the slide again, showing a Sibearian passport with a photo of a caribou on one side, and a snow covered bunker of some sort on the other. "Igor Antlersev," said Stallion, "Sibearian nuclear scientist recently arrested by the KZB for his role in the disappearance of a nuclear warhead. The Kremlin has refused to give us the details, but they did state that the bomb disappeared from this storage facility and was only rediscovered as it was being smuggled out of Pawland."

Why Lester, thought Judy, why are you doing this? Nothing back then is worth millions of lives.

"The intel strongly suggests that the nuke is on the property," continued Stallion, "so there won't be any unnecessary risks. I've requisitioned a SEAL team for this." "You're telling us to sit back and watch," asked Judy angrily. "Yes," said Stallion coldly, "this is not your op, you are not sufficiently trained and my authority supersedes yours. End of story." "No," replied Judy, "this animal," she stomped her foot and her nose began rapidly twitching, "is still my brother. This city is my responsibility. Nick and I have dealt with threats like this without any support from you higher ups and the city is far safer because of it. I have to stop him myself." She then grabbed her fox by the shoulder and stormed out, "Come on Nick, we have a job to do!"

Stallion sighed and nodded his head in disappointment, and said, "She has a death wish."

Author's Note: I'm back and I've just about restored that creative spark. I plan on finishing this story by next month as well as starting up the new Zootopia Lethal Weapon crossover titled "The Liason." I regret not being able to get this done at the speed I have gotten other stories done, but I promise that once I finish this one, I've got some good stuff planned over the summer. Make sure to check out "The Liason" (my attempt at doing humans in Zootopia), "Son of Wilde" (that'll be an interesting one. I suggest watching the 1993 movie Demolition Man to really get that one when it comes out) and a Vietpaw prequel, "Pawtoon". Let me know your thoughts!
