Authors Notes: And heres the next chapter folks! We're almost at the big finish, now this is gonna be a long one with a few alterations to the canon film story whilst trying to keep the canon KP series aspects alive.

:The Plot revealed:
In the deep dark sanctum within the lair of the villainous Dr Drakken. The mad doctor himself was lying on the sofa in the lair passed out. Seems he drank a little too much milk. Eventually he stirred from his sleep and got up off the sofa.
"Okay time to bring this evil plan home." He yawned. However when he looked around the lair, his modulator device was nowhere to be seen. "My machine?!" he breathed in shock as he got up and looked around the lair in a panic.
"Wh…where is my machine!" Drakken panicked. "The brain modulator! SHEGO! SHEGO!"
Before he had a serious meltdown, a sudden burst of steam and the sound of metal doors opening got his attention. He turned round and what he saw next he could never have guessed. A door hidden behind a stone wall opens to reveal a more high tech villains lair. His machine was in the centre between two transfer chambers.
Athena and Shego were at the control consoles, to the device working hard. They didn't even notice the blue evil genius enter the room. He was a little startled by the door closing behind him. But that quickly subsided.
"Wait?" Drakken said getting the girls attention. "Quick question. Was this here, the entire time!?"
Shego could see her partner in crime was referring to this sleek room of their lair. "Oh yeah, I guess with everything going on it just, slipped my mind."
"Wha…y you mean to tell me I've been plotting in a garbage heap the whole time when this was right next door!" Drakken exclaimed. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
"I guess this is my way of telling you?" Shego just said unfazed.
Despite the circumstances Drakken soon lightened up to this new high tech villains lair. And he was certainly not going to waste the new accommodations.
"Got to post this to Villian-istagram." He said cheerfully as he pulled out his phone and took a number of selfies around his new lair.
"Heh ha! I bet Dementor doesn't have a slick lair like this!" Drakken boasted. "Heh ha theres gonna be such epic fomo!"
"Hey!" Shego snapped getting his attention. "Make with the evil plan already."
Drakken then bore a sinister smile as he pulled out of his lab coat the power source/modulator for his machine. The Zakadiaum Q-46. He then smugly approached the machine opened the front panel and inserted the modulator. Suddenly the machine hummed into life. Much to the surprised amazement of Athena and Shego.
"Yes yes hahahahah!" However Drakkens sinister laugh was then interrupted.
"Yeah so about my next mission.." Athena then interrupted.
"UP UP UP! One, don't interrupt the villains gloating!" Drakken then said addressing the teen. "Number two, my dear tiny, purple Athena, you'll get your next mission."
He was about to say more when his phone rang. He then answered it. "Oh gotta take this." He answered the phone. "Yes mother?"
Shego just shook her head at this notion and turns her attention to Athena. "Okay, while he talks to mommy, lets go get you ready for your big fun surprise."
With that the two girls left the lair whilst Drakken spoke to his mother on the phone. "Yes yes, I will, I won't. Okay love you too bye." He hung up the phone then let off a sinister laugh. Which echoed throughout the lair.
Possible residence: Middleton:
Meanwhile back at the Possible house, Jim and Tim were busy armouring up Baymax ready to fly. His chest, legs, stomach and left arm were suited up. Tim was trying to push on the right handed armoured glove as Baymax was pushed against the sofa. Eventually with enough force they were able to get it on him.
"Whew!" Tim breathed. "Hiro really needs to do something about this suit up thing for Baymax."
"Yeah maybe like a nano tech suit up or something?" Jim said as he placed Baymax's helmet on his head now fully armoured up.
Then almost as if on cue the front door opened to reveal Monique and Hiro arriving back. James had just caught notice of them and went to greet them along with Baymax and the Tweebs.
"Hiro, good you made were you your friends were worried sick?" James as just as Ann entered the room.
"Yeah well thats what happens when you get clunked on the head and tied up in a janitors closet." Hiro admitted rubbing his head.
"Hit on the head?" Ann said a little worried. "Are you alright?" Baymax was on hand to answer that question as he took a scan of the young genius.
"Hiro has received a minor concussion on his. Head. Possibly caused by a. Blunt object. Icing the area is recommended." He diagnosed before he tried to treat his patient.
"N..no theres no time for that." Hiro dismissed as he stood up straight without Monique supporting him. "Wheres Kim and the others?"
"They headed out to rescue Athena." Ann explained.
Hiro was in complete shock and horror, he was too late. "No! I got here too late." Wasting no time he pulled out Vismax and placed the glasses on his face.
"Vismax put me through to Wade! Now!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Yes Hiro." Vismax acknowledged. Then with no time at all Wade appeared on the glasses hub.
"Hiro!? You okay?" Wade asked.
"Yeah I'm good where's Kim and the others heading?" Hiro then asked.
"They're on route to Drakkens lair just north of Colorado." Wade explained. "But don't worry I'll have a ride ready for you and Baymax in no time."
"No by the time you do that it'll be too late I need to get to Kim and warn her." Hiro said frantically.
"Warn her about what? Hiro what is going on?" Ann asked.
"Its Athena theres something Kim doesn't know. Fred was right there is something off about her." Hiro explained.
"Well what about Baymax?" Monique then pointed out to Hiro. "He can fly can't you just fly there?"
"No go on that." Tim said.
"Yeah Baymax can fly but not that far." Jim agreed.
"Baymax's power source isn't designed for that kind of sustained flight by the time we land he'd be too low on power to fight." Hiro explained. "There has to be a way to get me there fast."
The young genius thought long and hard about how he could possible get to his friends and teammates faster. He could'nt wait for a ride from Kims connections, and he couldn't have Baymax fly that distance. Then a spark of genius arose. He remembered something he'd seen earlier.
"Wait… wait I've got a wild idea." Hiro said turning to James. "Dr Possible, is there any chance of getting into the space centre?"
James was rather surprised but none the less went along with it. "Well yes Hiro your still technically employed there for your work placement why?"
"Because I have an idea that I think will work. But to pull it off I need something from Vivians robotics lab." Hiro explained.
Everyone just looked at Hiro a little unsure what exactly was he planning to do. Monique looked a little concerned, she knew from Kim the young genius was known to doing crazy things and getting in over his head.
"Uh just what do you plan on doing?" She asked nervously.
"Something crazy." Hiro said rather nervously himself.
Later Middleton Space Centre:
"I have some concerns." Baymax said as he, James and Hiro were now present in Vivians lab.
Hiro now armoured up was looking for something specific. Eventually he found what he was looking for. It was the scrapped exo armour project that Vivian had brought into the lab a day ago. But James was all but confused just what did Hiro plan to do?
"Hiro I don't understand why do you need the scrapped exo booster suit?" He asked.
"Because this is the key to getting me and Baymax to Kim and the others fast." Hiro answered.
"But the suit was scrapped months ago, we could never get it to reach the upper atmosphere." James explained. "Not to mention the G-Forces would kill someone."
"Dr Possible is correct. Over exposure to G-Force at high velocity, can have a. Traumatic affect on the human body." Baymax diagnosed. "Including, loss of blood to the brain, blackouts and in some cases death."
"I know, but this was to work getting someone to space. If I can reconfigure these boosters to Baymax's armour and to work in low orbit it should provide enough thrust to get us where we need to go." Hiro explained.
"Hiro, in order to pull that off you'll need a protective suit of your own otherwise you'll either fall off or risk being killed by the G-Forces." James explained to him.
"Dr Possible?" Called a voice and to their surprise it was Dr Vivian Porter who was more than surprised to see her colleague and the two armoured individuals in her lab.
"Whats going on here?" Vivian asked.
"Oh well Vivian its kind of hard to explain but these two people are friends they're part of.."
"Big Hero 6?" Vivian interrupts James. "Yeah I've seen the news too, but what are they doing here?" She asked not knowing it was Hiro or Baymax.
Hiro darkens his visor and approaches his mentor. "V.. Uh Dr Porter, I'm sorry if we startled you but, Kim Possible needs our help as do the rest of our team. So we need the boosters from this exo armour to help them." He said in a disguised voice.
"Okay stop right there I'm in." Vivian then said.
"You are?" James and Hiro said in surprise.
"Well duh, Kim helped me expose Fen and cleared my name, Its the least I can do to help her in return." Vivian explained. "So tell me what you need."
Hiro smirked under his helmet at that notion. "Then lets get to work."
(Music plays Hiro's theme Big Hero 6 the series)
With no time to lose the two robotics experts took apart the exo armour and the boosters to have them reconfigured for Baymax. In addition James brought in some components from the Cyber robotics department to help them. Baymax was in a harness whilst Vivian and Hiro worked to create a harness for the rocket boosters. Using the fabricator unit they made the harness and after some recalibration on the boost rockets they were then attached.
Hiro also made use of the exo armour pieces left from the prototype. He crafted them into some attachments for his own armour. One of which was gauntlets that locked into the harness and some armoued boots and knee pads to accompany the stronger magnets. He also made some adjustments to his helmet.
After many hours of crafting later they were ready.
Baymax was now wearing a white and crimson red harness with the two rocket boosters attached on his back leaving space for a passenger. His leg armour parts had some extra boosters attached to them. Baymax's helmet now had a face plate over it with blue lines for where his eyes are.
Hiro was now clad in purple and white fitted armour on top of his own. He had armoured gloves and thick armoured boots with a harness of his own attached to his back. His helmet had an added face plate with similar blue lines for his eyes.

They were now on one of the launch pads. Whilst Vivian and James were making the final adjustments to Baymax. Hiro was talking to Wade via the holo hub in his helmet.
"Okay Hiro, I've programmed a flight plan to Drakkens lair in Baymax's database." Wade relayed. "Just be careful theres some predicted crosswinds in your flight path, so it won't be an easy trip."
"It never is." Hiro said. "Vismax you there?"
Then Vismax appeared on his hud. "I am uploaded Hiro, online and ready."
Hiro nodded as he approached Vivian and James. "Okay we set to go?"
"Yes we've made all the nessecary checks and fuelled the boosters, their on their own power source so they shouldn't affect his power source." James explained. He then went closer to Hiro so that Vivian couldn't hear them.
"But Hiro are you sure about this?" James asked.
"No but I don't have a choice, we know Drakkens go something planned for the Zakadamium he stole but were not sure what." Hiro said. "Let alone what I've just found out about Athena and I'm not waiting around to find out. Besides Kim helped me its time I returned the favour."
"Okay if your sure. Good luck." James said with a hand on his shoulder.
"Okay he's geared up and ready for flight." Vivian said as she approached the two of them. "Just be careful the G-forces can be dangerous."
"Well thats what this armours for. It should protect me from the G-forces." Hiro explained. "But considering I could incinerate on take off and look good doing it.I feel pretty good about my chances."
Vivian could only give a winced smile at that. "Well in that case. Good luck Hiro." She said.
Hiro and James looked in complete surprise. "Hiro? Uh sorry mam I think you've mistaken me for someone else." He tried.
"Relax Hiro, I know its you so you can cut the acting now." Vivian said.
There was a brief moment of silence for a moment. Then the face plate on his helmet retracted revealing Hiro's face. "How in…"
"Easy, after seeing Big Hero 6 on the news, not to mention the way you engineered this exo armour. I knew only you were smart enough to come up with something like this." Vivian explained answering his question.
Hiro had to admit he was impressed and for once it wasn't the visors that gave him away. "I guess it was hard to hide huh." He sheepishly admitted.
"Yeah, well come on hurry if your going to help your friend." Vivian said and with that Hiro lowered his face plate and mounted on Baymax's back. His gloves and boots locked into the harness.
"You ready buddy?" Hiro asked.
"I am ready to help our friends Hiro." Baymax answered back.
"Oh Hiro." Called Vivian on his coms. "Before I forget I uploaded a little music to give you a boost."
"Uh okay." Hiro said. "Thanks doc."
The launch sight cleared as Baymax stood in a crouching pose ready for lift off. Hiro was nervous like the first time he and his robot companion flew. But none the less they were ready.
"Okay….three….two…one…"
In an instant Baymax fired his jet boots then after a second. The rocket boosters on his back fired and blasted them into the sky like a rocket.
(Music starts playing: Thunderstruck ACDC)
The two heroes rocketed into the sky leaving a trail of smoke behind them, as light illuminated from the boosters. They got higher and higher into the air and thankfully Hiro's suit protected him from the G-Forces.
"WOOOOOOOOOHOHOOOOOO!" Hiro yelled as they blasted off. "YEAHHHHHH!"
As they increased speed the were now in the clouds themselves. "Okay buddy wings out and shift to horizontal flight."
"Alright Hiro." With that Baymax's wings extended from his boosters and they levelled off to horizontal flight and blasted away from Middleton at top speed.
From the ground James and Vivian watched as they disappeared from view. "Rockets are go!" James proclaimed whilst Vivian shook her head smiling. But would they arrive in time to help their teammates?

Drakkens Lair:
Night had fallen over the sinister lair of Dr. Drakken, and within the deep forest a large cargo van pulled up just on the outskirts. The back doors opened to reveal Kim, Ron, Gogo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fredzilla, Mini Max and Rufus exit the rear seating. Kim then went up to the drivers cab.
"Thanks for the ride Captain Johnson." Kim thanked.
"Its the least I could do Kim, after you helped save my convoy from those bandits." The driver said.
"Oh no big, those guys obviously never watched Fast Five." Kim said. With that the truck left the scene.
"Wow just a simple call gets us a ride?" Fredzilla said. "Wish we had that."
"Dude you have a butler that does that?" Ron questioned.
"Guys keep your heads in the game." Kim called to them.
Everyone went quiet as they approached the lair. They then split off in different directions. Whilst Gogo, Wasabi, Ron, Rufus, Honey Lemon, Mini Max and Fredzilla went in one direction. Kim pulled out her grapple hair dryer and fired the line to the roof scaling the wall to the roof. She soon found herself standing in front of a sky light.
"Hey Wade, you sure this is it?" Kim asked as she called Wade on the Kimmunicator.
Wade was slow to answer given he was monitoring a certain flight plan. "Uh yeah defiantly. The energy readings are off the charts."
"Okay." She then tuned the Kimmunicator to contact her friends. "Gogo, guys where're you at?"
Meanwhile the rest of the team had found a fuse box on the jungle wall of the lair. Fredzilla and Mini Max stood watch just in case any henchmen showed up.
"We're at the fuse box Kim whats the plan?" Gogo answered on her com.
"Okay I'm gonna sneak in through the sky light and find Athena." Kim relayed. "Once I have her we'll meet up with you guys and take down Drakken. Is the alarm neutralised?"
"Working on it." Ron replied then holding up his armoured molerat. "Okay Rufus your up."
"No need." Wasabi said as he pulled the group aside, and with one jab of his plasma blade he stabs the fuse box. The device short circuits and is rendered useless.
"Alarms down people." Wasabi relayed to just looked at Wasabi with rather surprised looks while Gogo had a rather impressed smirk on her face.
"What how about letting me be the badass for once." Wasabi shrugged.
"Thanks guys, you stay with Ron and find another way in. Is there any word from Hiro?" Kim asked on the coms.
"Nothing yet." Honey said a little worried.
"Okay. I'm going in." Kim said deactivating the coms. She then pressed a button on her glove cuff and some suction cups came out of her fingers and palm.
In her other hand was her laser lipstick. She placed her hand down on the glass then cut a circle in the glass with her laser lipstick. Kim lifted the cut glass from the hole and placed it down to one side carefully.
Kim then jumps down from the skylight and into the lair. She looked around her surroundings and found she was in a corridor of the lair. She hurries down the corridor to look for her captive friend.
Meanwhile on the outer perimeter a couple of Drakkens red suited henchmen were patrolling the outer perimeter. With shock rods in hand.
"Uh no thats a no go." They heard a voice and saw it was Ron trying to open the door with a set of keys. He tried another key with no luck. "Nope not that one either."
The blonde sidekick turned round and saw the two henchmen. "Hey you guys got the key to this door I can't find mine." Ron asked.
The Henchmen readied their shock sticks until suddenly from out of nowhere a pink ball appeared and exploded trapping them in a cube of pink goop. They tried to get out but it was no good.
"Nice work distraction." Gogo said impressed.
"Eh its what I do." Ron shrugged.
With the Henchmen restrained Wasabi formed his plasma blades and cut through the door. The door pieces fell to the ground."Well heres our way in." Wasabi said but before they could proceed inside.
"Guys come in are you there? Guys?" A familiar voice sounded on the coms.
"HIRO!?" The heroes exclaimed.
"Glad to hear you buddy you had us worried." Fredzilla said.
"Where are you?" Gogo asked.
"What?" Hiro called.
"I said where are you?" Gogo said again only she could hear a rather loud rattling and wiring noise over the com channel so could everyone else. "Also what the hell is that noise?"
Elsewhere:
That noise was the sound of the firing rocket boosters on Baymax's back. He and Hiro had just started flying over the forest closing in on the lairs location.
"Well uh its complicated, but we're not too far away." Hiro explained in his helmet hud.
"What how'd you get here so fast?" Ron asked.
However before Hiro could explain he heard a rather large bang from behind turned round and saw one of the rocket boosters on Baymax's back had exploded and was on fire.
"Oh man!" Hiro exclaimed.
"We are on fire.' Baymax said.
"YEAH NO KIDDING!" He looked and saw the cause of the problem was in the main turbines. "Oh great the engines shot must've fried the system!"
"Hiro whats going on?" Wasabi called on the coms.
"Can't talk busy." Hiro exclaimed as he cut the com line. "Vismax eject the boosters!"
"I am unable. The short out has severed my link to the release control." Vismax explained.
Hiro grimaced behind his face plate. There was only one thing for it. "I'm gonna have to do it manually."
Slowly he decoupled from the harness and climbed down carefully to Baymax's chest to reach the release mechanism."Hiro, for your own safety I cannot recommend this course of action." Baymax tried. "A fall from this height can be fatal."
Hiro just ignored the warning and then he tapped the upper shoulder on the harness which released the booster rockets from the harness. The force catapulted Hiro off of his robot friend. Hiro screamed like crazy as Baymax quickly went into a dive and caught his friend in his arms.
"Thanks Baymax!" Hiro thanked. However when Baymax tried to fire his jet boots. They didn't respond.
The two looked at each other and said only one thing. "Oh no."
They were falling and tumbling faster and faster through the sky completely out of control. Hiro quickly grabbed onto Baymax's back and fixed himself back into his flight position.
"Baymax wings out we've got to glide until I get your boosters working!" Hiro exclaimed.
"I cannot they are jammed too. We are still tumbling." Baymax replied. Hiro opened a panel of Baymax's armour and looked at some of the wiring and couplings. He worked quickly as the ground got closer and closer.
"Come on come on!" He panicked then with one slam of his fist Baymax's eyes glowed bright, his jet boots fired and his wings swung into quickly pulled out of the dive and flew through the forest canopy and into the air at top speed.
Drakkens lair:
"Hiro, Hiro come in whats going on?!" Gogo called on the coms with no response.
"Hiro please say something!" Honey Lemon cried. Then all of a sudden.
"INCOMING!"cried a voice on the coms. All of a sudden the group caught sight of something coming down from the sky. Upon squinting their eyes they saw Baymax and Hiro in some kind of armour.
"Look out!" Ron exclaimed as Rufus screamed when they all dived to the ground. Baymax grabbed Hiro as they crashed to the ground.
"Hiro! Baymax!" Everyone cried as they hurried to their friends who just blasted into the ground next to the lair. Baymax and Hiro rolled onto their backs as Hiro breathed behind his faceplate.
"Hiro, are you injured?" Baymax said as his faceplate retracted to reveal his visored helmet.
Hiro just breathed as he tapped the side of his helmet and his face plate retracted to reveal his visored face. "No..I'm good, a bit winded but not bad."
Soon Gogo, Wasabi and Fredzilla helped them to their feet and Honey Lemon hurried over and looked over Hiro to see if he was hurt.
"Hiro, you guys okay are you hurt?" She said rather worried.
"No no I'm good." Hiro assured.
"What a glorious entrance you both made." Mini Max complimented.
"Dude whats with the Iron Man styled armour?" Ron asked.
"I knew it! You did make space armour for Baymax!" Fredzilla exclaimed looking over Baymax.
"You put rocket boosters on him? How?" Gogo said in surprise.
"Its a long and crazy story." Hiro explained. "But never mind that where's Kim?"
"She went inside to find Athena." Wasabi explained.
"No we gotta go in and help her." Hiro exclaimed.
"What?" Ron asked.
"Athenas been lying to all of us, she's not what we think she is!" Hiro explained.
"Hiro what are you talking about?" Gogo asked.
"It..its complicated I'll explain everything later." Hiro said before turning to Baymax. "Baymax, find Kim."
Baymax used his super sensor and projected a holo map of the area. One holo marker indicated Kims position. "Kim is located on the lower floors of this compound. Not to far from our current position." Baymax relayed.
"Come on we're going after her." Hiro said as he and Baymax hurried inside the lair. "You guys meet up with us when you can."
Hiro and Baymax hurried into the lair to find their friend. But they left their friends and teammates all but confused. What was Hiro talking about?
"What the heck is going on today?" Ron asked. Rufus just shrugged not knowing the answer.
Meanwhile:
Deep in the lair, Kim was quietly sneaking around looking for any signs of Athena. Whilst taking care to avoid detection. As she turned a corner she spotted something that made her hide behind one of the small pedestals.
She saw an open door and in the room was Athena, she looked okay and Shego was in the room too. After a minute she left Athena completely alone, Kim waited until the green villainess was far enough away and she quickly headed to the room.
Athena was sitting in front of a mirror in the room tending to her make up. Just then Kim burst into the room.
"Athena we're here come on let's go." Kim said rather urgently.
"I'm not going anywhere with you Kim." Athena sounded rather angered. Kim knew why as she let out a regretful sigh.
"Your mad." She said. "I get that, I'm sorry I really messed up at the assembly I know." She tried.
"Kim." Athena said turning to her. "You were a garbage friend long before the fight at the assembly."Kim was left completely speechless at that remark she wanted to explain but she couldn't find the right words.
"It was great, when I was your 'pet project' who blew up your ego." Athena continued rather angered whilst Kim was completely silent. "You're the best Kim! I can't believe I'm doing a friendship with Kim Possible!" She then said in false cheer.
"But the moment, that I started to surpass you. You fell apart." She finished with a fowl attitude.
Athena was right Kim knew it she'd been so caught up with her own issues her own problems that. She neglected everything else. And some words still rolled in her mind.
"I guess you forgot what it means to be a friend." Wasabis voice echoed.
Kim was about to speak up until. "That was your plan right." Another voice spoke up and entering the room was Hiro and Baymax.
"Hiro?" Kim said in surprise. "How, where have you been?"
"Tied up in a gyms closest during Drakkens attack." Hiro explained as he looked rather betrayed towards Athena. "A closet that our friend Athena locked me in!"
"What?" Kim said in shock.
"Thats pretty accusing Hiro, you sure you should be the kind of friend who hangs out with Kim, you maybe smart where your from but here your nothing." Athena said in false hurt.
"No. I'm smarter. Smart enough to believe my friends. You know when Fred said there was something off about you me and my friends thought he was just being paranoid." Hiro then said. "But I was stumped, as to why, when Baymax scanned Kim and Ron for injuries during our last battle yet it glitches when he scans you why is that?"
"Maybe one of the Syntho Drones damaged him?" Kim asked him.
"Thats what I thought Kim, but when I had Vismax look at his scanning data. I learned that Baymax wasn't the only robot in that lab." Hiro then said. "Was he Athena?"
Kim just looked at the two of them in disbelief. Athena attacked Hiro and locked him in a janitors closet just before Drakken what did Hiro mean by there was another robot in the room with them?
"What is… what is he talking about?" Kim then asked Athena. Who could only chuckle to herself with a rather sinister smile.
"Wow you really are the smart one aren't you Hamada." Athena said. "Sorry but your friend is right Kim. See the truth is my purpose here was not to be your friend who inspires you."
Kim was still confused and couldn't believe what she was hearing from her friend. However the greatest horror was yet to come. For then Athena placed her hand on the right side of her face. "As you can see. I'm far more complex than that."
The part of her face suddenly lifted off her and it revealed a horrifying truth. Her insides showed they were metal with cybernetic components. This all but made Kim gasp in horror, whilst Hiro all but confirmed Freds suspicions and what Vismax had showed him.
"Wh..what.." Kim said in complete shock.
"She is a robot." Baymax said in mild surprise. To Hiro he was just surprised but not that much. To him him this was just like Trina all over again.
"My purpose was to destroy you." Athena said whilst Kim was still breathing heavily in shock as Athena placed her flesh face back on her robot one. "And I nailed it!"
Kim still couldn't believe this Hiro however could now see what this was all about. "Let me guess your a self learning cybertronic humanoid right?" He guessed. "Designed to learn from a subject then adapt to them. Drakken had you befriend Kim so you could learn from her and be better than her just to lower her confidence."
Athena just chuckled at that theory. "Wow for someone who's supposed to be smart Hiro, you do think so small. Its more than that."
"But I..I trusted you." Kim said in disbelief and mild upset.
"What can I say, to be the best one must first do better than the best." Athena said. "And now Drakken and Shego have a new mission for me, and I know whatever it is its gonna be great."
"Athena, you can't trust them!" Kim tried.
"You think I'm not smart it takes one to know one." Hiro then said. "Don't you get it once they get what they want from you you'll be useless to them. Your nothing but their puppet and the minute you serve your purpose they're gonna cut your strings." He said making his hands like scissors to empathise.
"I'm no ones puppet!" Athena said as she walked away.
"Athena please I know theres still good in you." Kim tried but it was no good. "Baymax stop her!"
Baymax then stood in Athenas way as she looked up at her. "Athena. You are not thinking this through. Robots are not meant to hurt people. Drakken and Shego intend to hurt innocent people, somewhere in your programming you know it is not right."
"And what do you know?" Athena then said. "Your a robot who was programmed to help others. Me I'm not I have my own will and whatever they have planned for me I know it'll be better than what I had with them!"
"Thats all we were to you just a way to show you were better?" Hiro questioned.
"Athena, I was programmed to help the sick and injured. You still have a choice, you have a heart telling you this is not right." Baymax tried.
"What do you know. You don't even have a heart." That comment hit Hiro and Kim the most but Baymax didn't show any emotion in those words.
"You know what. You guys should just get out of here while you still can." Athena then said as she took her leave. Baymax was frozen on the spot as he watched her leave.
Hiro just couldn't believe this Athena insulted his friend right in front of him. Kim was still in a state of shock, her friend was a robot spy the entire time. And it only got worse, she looked at the shelves in her room and every one of them had pictures of Kim, where she likes to eat, her favourite fashion line all of her achievements. It was like suddenly a flood of her memories came to her first meeting Athena, her new look, the way she was practically Kims equal and one last thing flooded to her.
"Its like you were made to be my BFF."
Then it hit her, she was made to befriend her but only to destroy her from within. Hiro and Baymax could see that Kim was in a state of shock over this whole thing. Deep down he felt a little betrayed too. He noticed there was even some clippings about Big Hero 6 among Athena's study notes about them, and their team up with Kim.
"Kim?" Hiro asked.
"She….she was made to be me. I…she she was right I've been so caught up in my own drama that…I really forgot what it means to be a friend." She was nearly on the verge of tears. "Drakken planned this… he he finally beat me."
"No." Hiro then said. "Drakken hasn't beaten you, he used Athena to get to you. But you weren't the only one to trust her we all did, she played everything right she didn't just play you she fooled us all."
Kim turned to Hiro and Baymax with tears in her eyes as the young genius continued. "Take it from a guy who made the same mistake, all you can do is get up and try and make it right. You can't doubt yourself now we need you and so does Athena even if she doesn't see it."
"Hiro is correct." Baymax agreed. "Drakken is using Athena for a purpose. Whatever that purpose entails will not be a positive outcome for. Her. She is our friend and we must help her."
"Besides, Athena may be like you, but she's got nothing on the real deal, so what do we do?" Hiro said. Kim was all but touched by what her friends had to say, and they were right she would never let down her friends no matter what the drama.
"We need to stop Drakken. Someone has to help Athena whether she knows it or not and I'm going to help her." Kim said.
Hiro could only smile with pride to see his friend with confidence again. "That sounds more like the Kim I know."
Then out of nowhere Kim pulled Hiro into a hug, he was surprised but soon returned it. Baymax then wrapped his arms around his two friends as he embraced them in a hug. After a minute they broke off the hug.
"Thanks guys." Kim said.
"Hey you helped me before so now I help you. Thats what friends do." Hiro smiled as Kim smiled back. "By the way, like the new mission gear."
"Thanks. Now come on lets go help our friend." She then said as they headed out of the room to help their friend.
Meanwhile, in the main chamber of the lair Drakken and Shego were busy hooking Athena up in one of the transfer chambers hooked to the modulator machine. They placed a small head piece on top of Athenas head whilst Shego strapped her into the machine.
"Comfy." Drakken asked.
"I guess." Athena answered but was still unsure of what was going on. "Why do I need these?"
"Safety precaution, mostly ours." Shego said as she snickered a bit as the chamber sealed Athena inside.
However their gloating was interrupted when a certain red head teen arrived on the scene. "Hey Drakken." she called getting their attention.
"KIM POSSIBLE!" Drakken exclaimed.
"It can't be." Shego said unamused. "And sporting a new look I see."
"What can I say decided to try something new." Kim said. "I hope you don't mind I brought some friends to crash your party."
The wall suddenly exploded as a certain armoured fist punched through the door and then returned to the sender. Emerging from the smoke was Baymax, along with Hiro, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Fredzilla, Ron, Rufus and Mini Max in tow.
"Sorry to crash the party Drak." Gogo smirked.
"Guess our invites got lost in the mail." Wasabi agreed.
"Prepare to receive the mini maximum fist of justice!" Mini Max proclaimed as Rufus emerged on Rons shoulder.
"Booyah!" He squeaked.
Drakken however could only smirk and cackle at this. "Oh isn't this cute the gangs all here. But then again I was counting on it."
The heroes readied themselves for battle but before they had a chance. Drakken pressed the green button on his belt which suddenly activated a laser cage surrounding them. The bars knocked Rufus off Rons shoulder and sent him crashing to the ground.
"Hey, R..Rufus." Ron tried to reach for his armoured molerat friend but the cage shocks him.
Drakken and Shego could only snicker at the trapped heroes. However Gogo just looked unamused.
"Curses trapped in confinement!" Mini Max said.
"The hidden laser cage? Didn't you try this last time, didn't work out so well remember?"Gogo said remembering the last time he pulled this stunt.
"Eh why mess with a classic, right." Drakken then said.
Rufus tried to punch through the cage bars but all it did was give him a shock. "Hey it's okay buddy we'll be out of here soon." Ron assured but Rufus could only squeak nervously.
"Oh this lair has it all." Drakken said impressed. "And that force field is one hundred percent inescapable why because…."
"Dont tell us." Gogo interrupted. "Because the off switch is up there?" Gogo answered pointing to the wall next to them.
"Uh no." Drakken said. "Its right here!" He pointed out it was a remote control in his very hand.
Gogo and the other heroes just shook their heads in a not surprising sort of way. "He never learns does he." Gogo said to no-one in particular.
"Yeah no he really doesn't." Shego then agreed.
"SHEGO!" Drakken exclaimed shutting her up.
Kim pulled out her kimmunicator. "Wade we're in a bind can you hack the force shield?" She asked.
"Kim I can't hack this force field." Wade answered as he put all of his computing power to try and break them free.
"Anyhooo." Drakken said getting the heroes attention. "I'm glad you could all make it, welcome to my long awaited victory." Drakken then brought up holographic visuals of his plans one of which was both Athena much to everyones surprise.
"As I rotted away in that cell…" "Ugh really the evil plan reveal again." Wasabi groaned interrupting Drakkens gloating.
"I should've brought a book." Honey Lemon said.
"Oh come on guys don't take the one thing the bad guy has to do to gloat in front of us heroes before we do our part." Fredzilla then said.
"Yeah I mean it's kinda what we do between the hero and villain dynamic." Ron agreed.
"Glad to see someone gets it." Drakken then said. "Now do you mind?"
"Oh." Fredzilla and Ron said putting their fingers on their mouths saying they'll keep quiet.
"Ahhhh…Uh yeah where was I?" Drakken had lost his place in his speech.
"As you rotted away in your cell." Baymax reminded with his knowing finger up. Shego just nodded and motioned for Drakken to continue his speech whilst Athena just waited inside the transfer pod.
"Yes yes yes yes." Drakken thanked the robot now remembered his place and continued. "It was there that I realised that you. Kim Possible had, something special, something that separated you from everybody else." Drakken continued as Kim listened. "And believe it or not Mr Hamada here actually provided the solution."
Hiro was just confused how could he have given Drakken what he needed. Then he remembered. Drakken could see that look on his face. "Yes Hamada, that little chip you made of Possibles data for your balloon friend. I realised if you could give that robot what makes Possible who she is. Then so could I." He continued. "So, I created a cybertronic humanoid."
He and Shego gestured to Athena who looked all smug like. Everyone was frozen in shock. Wade had heard the whole conversation. "What Athena's a robot!" He said in surprise.
"No, th…this can't be!" Honey said.
"AHAH! See I knew there was something off with her no-one can get as good as Kim over night!" Fredzilla pointed out.
"Yes. I sent her in to befriend you, to learn from you." Drakken explained showing a diagram of Athena and Kim. Kims diagram lost energy whilst Athenas built up. "And to steal what makes you Possible! And having your friends here was just an added bonus, the conflict between you all but worked to my advantage!"
Big Hero 6 and Ron all looked in shock and disbelief, their friend was really a robot the entire time. She was working for the bad guys, she used them.
"Wh..what Athena, h..how could you, your not Drakkens lackey your our friend?" Honey Lemon said a little hurt.
"What can I say Honey, I went with the winning team. And you know for a team of geniuses your all pretty pathetic." Athena smirked.
This tricked a nerve in the heroes. "H…How can you say that we trusted you! We befriended you and you sell us out to them!" Honey Lemon exclaimed.
"Yeah you had a good thing with us and you just throw it all away!" Wasabi agreed.
"You traitor your making a big mistake you think they'll keep you around after this!" Gogo exclaimed.
"Forget it Gogo, she's heard it already." Kim said to her.
"But theres one thing that doesn't click I get the whole get revenge on us by showing us outside of our home just to help lower Kims confidence. But why the sleeper I mean the whole make Athena look good and Kim the zero thing works but why?" Fredzilla asked.
"Oh ho thats easy. It was all to create a digital version of Kim Possibles….Spark." Drakken said with dramatic breath.
"My Spark?" Kim questioned.
"Your Spark!" Drakken repeated.
"That really wasn't worth the dramatic breath." Gogo said.
"Yeah I gotta agree." Shego said.
"Up up!" Drakken said telling Shego not to harsh his mojo.
"So…thats what Athena meant by her being a…Kimitation." Hiro realised.
"Hmm you should trademark that." Drakken suggested.
"Or Kimputer, Kimputers good too." Shego then suggested.
"Yeah it is." Drakken agreed.
"What about Kimtronic?" Ron asked.
"Hmm doesn't really have the same vibe." Drakken said.
"Oh I get it its classic supervillain! If you want to beat the hero, you take the spark of their strength and then make it their own!" Because a heroes power in a villains body equals invincible!" Fredzilla realised.
"Ha haha I like this guy he gets the whole villain dynamic!" Drakken laughed. "But yes now I intend to transfer that digital Spark from her…to me! because as he said you plus me equals invincible!"
The diagram Drakken showed illustrated that very thing. The diagram of Athena looses power whilst Drakken gains power.
"So thats why you needed the Zakadiaum, to act as the module to transfer that data straight into your brain." Hiro guessed.
"Hmm I forgot you were the smart one Hamada." Drakken said.
"Wait a minute, what happens to Athena?" Honey Lemon asked.
It was in that moment that Hiro had come to a horrifying conclusion to answer that question. "Wait. If that data makes up nearly all of Athena's core. Transferring all that data could…."
"Yes…She'll be destroyed." Drakken finished Hiro's sentence.
Athena just gasped in shock, she wouldn't survive the transfer this was their plan for her. Kim couldn't believe this they were willing to kill Athena just so they could beat her.
"What!" The heroes exclaimed.
"No!" Kim exclaimed slamming the energy cage bars.
"Hey you gotta break a few eggs Kimmy." Shego said.
"So thats all she is to you, disposable!" Gogo exclaimed.
"This is insane and low even for you Drak!" Fredzilla exclaimed.
"Uh newsflash lizard boy. I'm the bad guy it goes with the territory." Drakken then said.
"But.. but you said…." Athena begged but.
"Yeah sorry kiddo but we lied, your next mission is a short lived one." Shego smirked.
"We gotta do something!" Ron exclaimed.
Athena was now getting scared she had a look of absolute terror and was devestated, Kim and Hiro tried to warn her but she was too caught up in her own ego to listen.
"We're gonna get you out of there Athena." Kim assured.
"Why?" Drakken questioned. "She's just a robot, like that walking balloon standing behind you." He gestured to Baymax.
"You are wrong." Baymax said getting their attention. "Athena, is not just a robot, she is a person. A living being, with heart, compassion and spirit."
"Thats right you couldn't be more wrong! She's more than a mere machine!" Honey Lemon agreed.
"Yeah she's one of us, no matter what bad things she's done. She's still a hero to us." Wasabi agreed.
"Thats something you guys don't get she's not disposable to us!" Gogo agreed.
"She's more than even that." Kim agreed. "She's my friend."
Ron couldn't help but smile proudly at what his best friend had just said. Hiro bore a similar smile on his face knowing that despite everything Kim remembered to stay loyal to her friends and she hasn't given up on Athena yet. Athena was more than taken aback now, despite all she did, betraying Kim and Big Hero 6, manipulating them even after surpassing Kim just to make her feel at her lowest. They still considered her as a friend.
Shego however could only gag at that cute speech. This didn't seem to affect the two villains at all. Not surprisingly.
"Well…thats actually quite touching." Drakken said as he approached a control console. "Now. Lets see how close of a family you can become!"
He slowly pulled down a lever on the console, and to the horror of the heroes the energy bars of the cage began to close in on them closer and closer forcing them together.
"Oh no! This is a crushing trap!" Fredzilla exclaimed. "I thought those only existed in temples?"
"Not now FRED!" Everyone exclaimed as the bars got closer and closer.
"Stay away from the sides guys!" Kim warned. Drakken smirked and snickered as he continued pulling the lever to vaporise the trapped heroes. The energy bars got ever closer.
Wade was in his room working as fast as he could to hack the energy bars. However it was no good, no matter what he tried the bars still wouldn't shut down.
"Uh guys, that things gonna vaporise you and I can't stop it!" He panicked.
"This is a mini maximum crisis!" Mini Max exclaimed. Rufus watched from outside the cage in horror as his friends were about to be vaporised.
"Uh guys now would be a good time for a plan!" Wasabi paniked not liking the ever shrinking space. He cried in pain as he felt the shock of the cage.
"Baymax Overdrive mode quick!" Gogo exclaimed. However when Baymax tried to shift to Overdrive mode he found he couldn't. "I am unable to transform in this. Confined space."
Everyone was beginning to panic as Drakken was liking this more and more every minute. "Heha you don't have your flying little robot to bust you out this time!"
However they still had one hope left. Rufus, he wondered what he could do. Then he remembered what he was wearing and saw the remote for the cage on the console. An idea sprung into his head as his armour wings swung into position and he blasted off towards Drakken.
"Rufus!" Kim exclaimed which got Drakken and Shego's attention.
"Thats it buddy fly like the wind!" Ron exclaimed.
"Shego! Ground that weasel!" Drakken exclaimed and Shego fired a plasma blast from her hands trying to hit Rufus who all but flew around the blast and performed barrel roles to avoid it.
He acted quickly and blasted over to the control console and grabbed the remote. "Oh no you dont!" Drakken exclaimed and slammed his fist down trying to squash Rufus but he missed. The armoured mole rat blasted into the air and headed back towards the heroes.
"Attaboy Rufus!" Fredzialla cheered.
"Mini Maximum effort naked mole rat comrade!" Mini Max cheered.
"SHOOT IT!" Drakken shouted and Shego kept trying to blast the flying mole rat but missed.
Inside the cage the bars were getting closer and closer to the heroes. Hiro pressed a button on his gauntlet and it activated his magnets. He extended his hands and some how the waves were pushing the energy bars back.
Shego fired one more blast and this time it blasted the right wing off Rufus's armour. Which caused him to spin out of control.
"No!" Honey Lemon cried. However in one slow motion Rufus tossed the remote towards the trapped heroes. Hiro acted fast and held out his left hand and the magnet in his glove pulled the remote to him. It hit the energy bars destroying it. This shut down the cage and just in time.
"Whew that was too close for comfort!" Hiro breathed in relief.
The villains were in complete surprise, Athena was glad her friends were okay. Rufus while overjoyed forgot he was crashing down to the ground, and continued screaming.
"Rufus!" Ron exclaimed. Wasabi quickly leaped into the air and was able to grab the mole rat in his hands.
"Gotya little guy!" He said. Rufus all but squeaked in joy.
"Aw yeah get yourself a molerat who saves the day! Also naked." Ron cheered only for Rufus to squeak in embarrassment.
The heroes attention turned to the two villains and their captured friend. "Ahhh!" Drakken screamed. Kim leaped forwards with the rest of Big Hero 6 in tow.
Shego fired her plasma blasts to block their way to the transfer pods. Gogo skated in front of Kim and deflected the energy blasts with her arm mag disks. Shego avoided the deflected blasts, but before she could react Gogo stopped and turned towards Kim who planted her foot in her hands and gave her a leg up. Kim did a spin in the air then landing a spin kick at Shego who was knocked to the side. She was about to attack again until a blast of ice decorated the floor beneath her and before she lost balance. Honey Lemon skated in and threw a punch across her face.
Kim managed to reach Athena's pod and tried to open it. However Shego quickly recovered and fired a plasma blast towards the teen hero who quickly flipped out of the way to avoid the attack.
Drakken was trying to prep the machine while they were fighting until Hiro leaped in and kicked him to the side. Drakken winced as he looked to see him, Ron and Fredzilla standing in front of him.
"Shows over Drakken!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Not yet it isn't!" Drakken slammed a button on the control console and dropping in from above was a robot they certainly didn't expect.
"A Destructo Yama!" Ron exclaimed.
"Uh didn't we destroy those things?" Fredzilla questioned.
"Nice huh I had one left over for just such an occasion!" Drakken exclaimed. "And the best part its kill code proof!"
The Destructo Yama's eyes glowed brightly as it activated its razor saw blades and slashed at the heroes who ducked out of the way to avoid it. Hiro quickly activated his nero transmitter summoning the micro bots stored in his belt pouch They quickly formed round his hands a giant fists.
"Fred super jump me!" He shouted running over and Fredzilla landed on his back, brought his feet up and Hiro bounced on his feet and catapulted into the air over the robot. Hiro grabbed onto its back and smashed its back with his fists.
Fredzilla then acted quick and let loose a blast of ice. Which froze it in place. However the Destructo Yama moved his arm round grabbed Hiro off his back and swatted him to the side. He also broke free of Fredzilla's ice trap. Then fired a barrage of missiles from its shoulder launchers.
"RUN RUN RUN!" Ron yelled as he and Fredzilla ran away but the impact of the missile catapulted them across the room.
Athena was still confined to her pod and was helpless to watch the battle in front of her. Just then Baymax rocketed up to her pod, it seemed her saviour had come.
"Athena, please stay calm I will get you out." he said and was about to try and pull the pod door off.
"BAYMAX BEHIND YOU!" Athena exclaimed Baymax turned round to see the Destructo Yama swat him over to the side and sent crashing into a wall.
Luckily he wasn't damaged. "Oh no." He said.
Shego and Kim meanwhile were still fighting each other Shego was swinging kicks and fists at Kim but she avoided each and every one. She struck back by catching Shegos fiery fist and putting her in an arm lock. Only for the green villainess to swing her free fist at Kim to then grab it and kick her away. Shego readied another blast but Kim performed another spin kick to knock her across the room.
"Whats going on!" Shego exclaimed. "Your not supposed to be this tough Possible!"
Gogo, Honey Lemon and Wasabi then arrived at Kims side. "Maybe she is Shego, and maybe you've always underestimated her." Gogo said.
"Just like you've always underestimated us!" Wasabi said showing his plasma blades.
(Music starts playing: Chasing Legacy)
Shego just growled as she lunged forwards plasma blades in hand. She slashed at Kim only to be intercepted by Wasabi as she clashed against her plasma blades. Wasabi pushed her back and Honey Lemon leaped over her friend and fired a barrage of blue chemballs.
Shego fired a fire blast destroying the balls which exploded as a smoke screen. She was blinded. Out of nowhere came one of Gogos mag lev disks which hit her across the head and bounced back off on of the lair pillars. Shego ducked to avoid it but was met by the spin kick of Kims foot which catapulted her back.
The Destructo Yama meanwhile was still trying to destroy his opponents. Hiro ducked under the razor saws. Baymax then charged in and punched the Destructo Yama in the face with his rocket fist which returned to the red robot.
Fredzilla then tried using his fire breath which barely melted the metal on the robots frame. Destructo Yama swatted him back towards Ron.
"Man I forgot how tough this thing is!" Fredzilla said.
"Its just like the final boss in Zombie Mayhem III remember?" Ron then remembered.
Then an idea hits Fred in his suited monster face. He knew how to get the upper hand on this robot. "Oh yeah, so that means…"
Fredzilla lunges forwards and jumps in the air. "IT NEEDS A COMBO MOVE!" He let loose a tornado of Ice and Fire from his suit mouth which not only froze the robots saws but the fire also melted its head slightly.
It was blinded long enough for Mini Max to fly in with Rufus on his back. Rufus jumps from Mini Max and dives straight into an exposed hole in the robots armour. Once inside he started tearing apart and rewiring a few things.
The Destructo Yama was now out of control spinning its upper body. Which gave an opening for Baymax to blast in with his jet boots pulled back a fist and punched the robot straight in the chest. The impact sent it flying straight into the wall and Mini Max delivered the finishing move by kicking the robots head off.
"Mini Maximum final strike to our giant adversary!" Mini Max proclaimed as Rufus emerged from the robots collar.
"Booyah!" Rufus exclaimed.
Drakken couldn't believe this how was this even possible. He had everything planned out, Possible and Big Hero 6 should've been at their lowest in the fight but somehow they were beating his minions. Again.
"How is this possible!" Drakken exclaimed.
"Its because we work as a team Drakken!" Hiro exclaimed as Drakken turned to face him. "You see what we're really made of! You thought Kims spark came from being different from everyone else, maybe your right, but it also comes from having friends by her side and not just being the best!"
"What?" Drakken exclaimed.
"What your experiencing is our spark together we're invincible!" Fredzilla exclaimed.
"You said it Fred!" Ron exclaimed.
"Gotta admit Drakken your plan nearly worked, using Athena to get to me. Get in my head made me doubt myself." Kim agreed. "But theres one thing you didn't get my friends didn't quit on me!"
"No matter what scheme you plot you'll never beat us as a team, you'll always be a second rate villain!" Honey Lemon agreed.
"No!" Drakken shouted in disbelief.
"Who are we?…." Hiro asked.
"POSSIBLE HERO 6!" The heroes exclaimed.
(Music ends)
The blue skinned mad scientist growled seeing his arch enemies gang up on him. "NO I WONT BE BEATEN NOT AGAIN!"
He pressed a button on the control console and activated the transfer machine. He then let loose a cloud of smoke blinding the heroes long enough to strap himself into the machine. Athena struggled as she tried to break free.
"Shego the switch!" Drakken yelled and Shego fired a plasma blast to flip the switch on the machine activating it fully. Suddenly the machine hummed into life. Bolts of energy surrounded Athena and Drakken. The transfer process had begun.
"NO!" Kim exclaimed. Ron tried to get to Athenas pod only when he tried to open it he got a shock that catapulted him away. Baymax grabbed him before he hit the ground.
"Yes! Yes I can feel it!" Drakken exclaimed. "Vitality! Killer moves! Rad skills!..."
Hiro hurried to the machine with Gogo and tried to turn it off by pulling of the main panel to cut off the power. All the others could do was watch helplessly.
"SPAAARK!" Drakken yelled as he could feel the spark transferring into him.
"Help!" Athena yelled in pain within his pod Drakken just cackled sinisterly as it seemed to him as if he had won.
Hiro tried all he could but it was no use he just couldn't shut it down. "Gah its no good I can't override the transfer!" He then tried something else. "Vismax can you shut it down?"
"Negative the process is too far along." Vismax relayed.
"There has to be a way!" Gogo yelled.
"Wade any ideas?" Honey Lemon asked on her coms.
Wade looked at the machines schematics from his computer for any weaknesses. Then one thing came to mind. The source of the transfer. "Kim guys! The brain modulator…." Wade realised.
"Yes! Hiro realised it too if we can disrupt the Zakadamium it should reverse the transference!"
"Right!" Wade exclaimed.
Wasting no time Kim pulled out her laser lip stick and fired the beam straight at the Q-46. The beam hits it dead on and it begins surging with energy and suddenly turns a red colour. Drakken could feel something was wrong in the machine it was reversing the transference. Sparks began flying off the pods.
"Heh that works" Ron said surprised.
Smoke started to rise in Drakkens pod as something was beginning to happen to him. "No! No! NOOOOO!"
"Uh guys whats happening?" Wasabi asked worried.
From his computer screen Wade could see something was happening to Drakken inside the pod. "The machines going crazy, its causing some kind of side effect." He said.
Out of nowhere it looked like Drakken was shrinking not in size but something else.
"What?" Ron said rather surprised.
"Whats happening to him?" Gogo asked rather befuddled herself.
"No…No NOOOO!" Drakkens voice got higher and higher as he shrunk.
Kim and everyone else in the room looked rather surprised whilst Baymax and Mini Max just looked with the same blank eyes. However right now Kims attention was focused on Athena who still restrained in the pod.
The pod door opened with smoke pouring out of it. Then stumbling out of the pod was most surprisingly a child wearing Drakkens suit, which didn't fit him at all. The child had the same blue skin, black hair and scar as well. Thats because it was…
"Drakken?" Wasabi and Fredzilla said in shock.
"His age has reversed to that of. A child." Baymax said.
"Now theres something you don't see everyday." Mini Max said with Rufus nodding in agreement.
However this surprise wasn't as important. Athena had passed out in the machine, and Kim wasted no time running over to it to try and free her friend with the rest of the team close behind.
Kim tries to push on the door but it refused to open. Gogo helped try to push it open with no , Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fredzilla and Ron kept trying to pry the pod open. Even Mini Max and Rufus were trying.
Drakken had recovered to see his enemies try to free his captive. "Shego get them!" He exclaimed. It was then he noticed his pointing hand, it was smaller than his glove. He looked at himself and saw his clothes were now bigger than he was.
"Hey what happened to my clothes?" He asked then felt his throat as he heard the sound of his voice. "Whats wrong with my voice!"
Shego had arrived and saw the state her partner in crime was in and she just burst out laughing. Kid Drakken looked up at his partner laughing at his juvenile condition.
Meanwhile Possible Hero 6 were still trying to free Athena from the machine. Baymax then arrived to help. "Please stand back." He said.
He grabbed both sides of the door and using his armoured strength pulled it off its hinges and tossing it away. "Nice work Baymax." Kim thanked as she and Honey Lemon hurried to untie her.
"Oh hohoho this is too rich Dr. D Jr." Shego laughed.
"SILENCE SHEGO!" Kid Drakken exclaimed. But Shego just laughed at his high pitched voice however the laugh fest was cut short by the sparks flying off the machine.
"Its destabilising!" Drakken exclaimed and he was right the Zakadamium had turned a red colour and was sparking with dangerous energy.
"Oh no!" Baymax said drawing everyones attention to the overloading Q-46 whilst Kim held Athenas arm over her shoulder.
"When we disrupted it it's causing it to destabilise!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Thanks to that blast it's leaking all that energy destabilising the modulators matrix!" Gogo realised too.
"Which means what?" Ron said a little scared.
"IT MEANS LETS GET OUT OF HERE!" Wasabi yelled.
Shego couldn't agree more as she picked up a remote and pressed a button. Out from the floor came the escape pod."Into the escape pod junior!" Shego said to the kid mad scientist who all but hurried inside.
Kid Drakken could only snicker at this. "Hehehe you fools are gonna be blown to bits! BYE!" Shego just rolled her eyes at that statement. But Hiro wasn't having these two escape again.
"Vismax!" Hiro called then all of a sudden the controls on the escape pod were suddenly being hacked.
"Huh what?!" Drakken said in surprise.
"Vismax." Hiro smirked. "Do me a favour and redirect that pod to a police station."
"Yes Hiro." Vismax answered.
"NOOOOO! HAMADA! Kid Drakken exclaimed as the pod left the lair through the floor at top speed.
"Not so all that now is he." Hiro said however he then remembered the overloading Zakadamium.
"We gotta get out of here!" Honey Lemon Q-46 grew more and more unstable and was building up energy at a tremendous rate.
"GUYS GET OUT OF THERE THAT THINGS GONNA EXPLODE!" Wade exclaimed to his friends on the coms.
"You don't have to tell us twice!" Wasabi exclaimed as the heroes ran towards the exit of the lair whilst Baymax hovered over to the door and ripped it open for the heroes to escape.
However Kim and Athena were falling behind. They stumbled to the ground and a metal rod/staff fell to the ground next to turned and saw that their friends were in danger close to the overloading energy.
"Guys wait!" she called. "KIM!"
"Kim!" Honey called.
She tried to reach them but couldn't because of the energy bolts bouncing off the overloading machine. Kim and Athena tried to get up before the room exploded. Athena managed to get up but was suddenly hit by a bolt of energy from the Zakadmium.
"KIM!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Hurry!" Wasabi called.
"Baymax we have to help them!" Hiro said and he quickly ran towards them and Baymax soon followed.
Athena saw another bolt of energy heading for Kim, and she quickly put herself between her and it. The bolt struck and she absorbed its blast. Hiro quickly came over and helped Kim to her feet.
"Athena!" They cried to her as she absorbed yet another blast of energy. She was getting the full force of the blast.
"What are you doing?" Kim asked.
Athena turned to her friends and then reached down and grabbed the metal rod. "Kim you and the others go, you need to get out of here I have to stay behind!"
"What?!" Hiro yelled.
"I'm the only one who can do this!" Athena yelled. But Kim grabbed the staff and tried to take it from her.
"Athena no stop it'll kill you!" Kim yelled to her.
The Zakadamium grew more and more unstable almost reaching critical. "I can absorb the energy from the cube Kim!" Athena explained yelling. "I'm not human I'm the only one who can do this!"
"I'm not gonna leave you here!" Kim exclaimed to her practically nearly showing tears.
"She's right we can still get away from here! We won't lose you like I lost Tadashi!" Hiro argued.
"No everyone will die if I go with you guys Hiro!" Athena argued.
"GUYS COME ON!" Gogo yelled to them.
"KP!" Ron exclaimed whilst Rufus was practically panicking telling them to go.
Kim turned to her friends who were still waiting for her. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't just leave Athena here to die but they would all perish trying to escape the blast radius.
"We must evacuate the Zakadamium is growing more and more unstable." Baymax relayed.
Kim still didn't want to leave Athena, as she took one more look at her friend. "You guys saved me." Athena said. "Let me save you."
Kim just couldn't let this happen before she could say anything else. A hand was placed on her arm. She looked and saw it was Hiro with the same look of despair of the thought at leaving their friend to sacrifice herself.
With tears in his eyes Hiro just shook his head saying this was the only way. Kim could see he didn't like this idea either. But there was no other way. So she handed Athena the bo staff which she took.
"Go." She said to her friend and Kim let go of the Bo staff.
"Baymax." Athena said to him as he looked at her. "Get them to safety." She said with tears in her eyes.
Baymax was all but silent in that moment before he spoke. "I will."
He grabbed Kim and Hiro and used his boosters to get up to the exit door. Athena turns to the machine twirls the staff then leaps up into the air and rams the staff into the cube like a the energy inside it began surging through Athena, and the whole lair began to go up in blazing flames.
"Guys we have to go come on!" Hiro exclaimed.
"But what about Athena!" Honey Lemon yelled in tears. Gogo could see Athena was sacrificing herself but they were still in danger.
"We have to go now I'm sorry!" She yelled as she and Wasabi pulled Honey and Ron weren't too far behind with Mini Max and Rufus.
Kim turned round in tears seeing the lair overloading. "No." She breathed but Hiro and Ron pulled her away.
"Kim we have to go this whole place is gonna collapse!" Hiro exclaimed.
"I'm sorry KP!" Ron said pulling her back.
"ATHENA!" Kim yelled as the door shut behind Zakadmium grew more and more unstable building to critical levels.
The team hurried out the way they came in getting as far away from the lair as they could. However one of them didn't. Hiro turned round and saw Baymax was still standing at the exit hole with his back turned.
"Baymax!" Hiro called.
The red armoured robot turned to face his teammates they were all confused what was Baymax doing why wasn't he running. Hiro's heart sank he couldn't help but feel like he'd seen this before.
"Someone has to help." Baymax's wings swung into position as he blasted back into the lair much to the horror of everyone else.
"BAYMAX! NO!" Hiro yelled but Ron pulled him back as they ran away from the lair.
The Q-46 was at critical mass and Athena was still absorbing all its power. Just as it was about to explode Baymax bursted into the room and reached his hand out to Athena. She slowly handed hers out to him.
Just as the rest of the team escaped. BANG! The lair exploded and the blast wave sent the heroes flying to the ground. The rest of the lair collapsed and went up in flames.
Everyone lay on the ground coughing from all the smoke. Kim got up and looked back in horror to rage exploding rubble of the former lair. It was in ruins and nothing was left she was practically sobbing as nothing or no-one could have survived a blast like that.
Hiro, Gogo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred removed their helmets and masks and stood by Kim with Ron. They couldn't believe it. Their friend sacrificed herself to save them. But she wasn't the only one lost.
"No." Hiro said in partial sobbing as he collapsed to his knees with tears streaming down his face. "N..Not again i..it can't have happened again!" It was like losing Tadashi all over again. "BAYMAX! ATHENA!
"Kim." Ron said rather saddened and Kim could only turn to him and cry into his shoulder. Ron embraced her in a hug.
Honey Lemon was practically in tears and sobbing. Wasabi gave her a hug in consoulmet while trying to hold back his own tears. Gogo just slammed her fist into the ground in anger whilst tears streamed down her face. Fred just looked down in sorrow. It seemed their friends were now lost to them. Hiros friends then gathered round him and embraced him in a hug of their own.
Then out of nowhere Rufus scurried towards the wreckage. Ron thought this was very irregular.
"Rufus where're you going?" He asked.
Rufus didn't answer as he started sniffing around some of the rubble. Everyone was confused just what was Rufus looking for. Mini Max then fired up his jet pack and wings and flew forwards. He scanned the area and realised what was going on.
"Fellow heroes, I believe Rufus's keen senses have found something." He said as he flew after him.
Kim wasn't sure what was going on, but as she and Hiro looked at each other. They realised something. They soon followed them into the rubble. Wasabi, Gogo, Fred, Honey Lemon and Ron followed them down the steep slope and into the rubble.
Rufus and Mini Max surveyed the area whilst Rufus used his nose to sniff around for any scents in the rubble. Mini Max flew over head looking for whatever Rufus was onto. Just then Rufus squeaked loudly and Mini Max flew over to what he'd found. Surprisingly it was a human hand in the rubble and it was moving.
"Over here!" Rufus squeaked.
The rest of the team soon caught up to where Rufus and Mini Max were. "We have located one of our comrades!" Mini Max exclaimed.
Kim saw the hand in the rubble as did Ron, Hiro and the others. "Could it be?" Hiro said with hope in his voice.
"Athena!" Kim said frantically as she hurried over to the hand. "Hold on we're gonna get you out of…" She picked up the hand and it was completely severed much to Wasabi's and her screaming.
"GAH! NOT A FAN OF SEVERED LIMBS!" Wasabi shrieked. Honey and Gogo were surprised.
Fred and Ron were a little creeped out, whilst Rufus scqueaked in fright. Mini Max just had a blank look but noticed something."The severed hand is pointing." he said.
Kim and Hiro looked at the severed hand and Mini Max was right it was pointing one of its fingers to something. All of a sudden they heard a loud rumbling in the rubble. They gasped as a large boulder moved not too far away and in the smoke a large shape could be made out.
Hiro and his friends recognised the shape and hurried towards it with hope in their eyes. The smoke cleared and revealed.
"Baymax!" They cried and it was him, his armour was cracked his helmet was dented and the screen broken but his inflatable insides were unharmed. Though he did lose a fragment of his stomach armour.
His friends wasted no time hugging the large robot Hiro especially wrapping his arms around his chest. Kim was happy for Hiro that his friend was unharmed.
"Baymax, y..your okay!" Honey Lemon said with tears in her eyes.
"Are you hurt pal?" Hiro asked.
"My armour is damaged. My boosters are non functional but internally I am undamaged." Baymax Kim was still wondering something and noticed that Baymax had something cradled in his arms.
"Baymax….wheres Athena?" Kim asked.
The healthcare robot blinks before he gave his answer. "Athena, is here."
He moved his left arm to reveal it was Athena's head cradled in his right arm. Everyone gasped in surprise with a mix of relief, despite her body being gone their friend was still okay.
"Hey guys, uh I could use a hand." Athena said with a glitching voice.
Kim just smiled as she picked her head up from Baymax's arm. Athena smiled in return glad to see her friends were okay as Ron hurried to Kims side and Rufus appeared on his shoulder.
"We're gonna patch you up good as new okay. I promise." Kim said assuringly while trying to hold back her tears.
Athena even had tears in her eyes as she could see Kim meant it. "Your a really good friend."
"So are you." Kim said smiling.
"She learned from the best." Ron said to her red headed friend to which the San Fransokyoites could all agree to with a knowing smile.
Kim smiled as she was surrounded by her friends. "So did I." She said.
However Athena slowly tilted her head towards Baymax. "But Baymax. Why did you come back to help me?" She asked.
"I am programmed to help the sick and injured, and to help my friends when in danger." Baymax answered. "It is what. Tadashi would do."
Hiro and Athena smiled at that answer. "He sure would buddy." He said with a slight sob. He felt a hand on his shoulder and it was Kim.
"So, Hiro how'd you like to rebuild a cybertronic humanoid?" She asked.
"I'm in, but I'll need some help." Hiro said as the group smiled at their friends who then embraced each other in a hug around Athena's head. For they had not only won the day, they also won their friend back.
Authors Notes: Whew that was a long one. But all is well Drakken and Shego are beaten and they managed to save their friend who turned out to be a robot all along. Now for when Hiro and Baymax needed to get to Kim and the rest of the team fast. I took a little inspiration from Avengers PS4 with a few a bit of inspiration from Teen Titans Judas Contract.
I had originally planned to make the ending of this into two parts but I thought why keep up the suspense.
Now we have only one chapter left and an epilouge with a bit of a surprise so stay tuned.
