This was a one shot suggestion by Braxtonboyzz123 about Kyle getting teased a lot over not surfing, and a lot of pressure into taking it up, he finally decides to give in. While out on the waves, a huge wave rolls in unexpectedly and disaster strikes. After thinking he was doing well, Kyle starts struggling with what happened and asks his brothers for help, surprised by their reactions.

He didn't know how many times he had to say it but it seemed it wasn't enough still. After months and months his brothers were still relentless. They wanted him to take up surfing, to be able to go out on the waves with them and to feel like they could include him in their traditions as such. He didn't know if they would eventually give up if he remained determined not to take up surfing but he was willing to find that out.

"Get your boardies on Kylie, we're going surfing." Heath says as he walks out from the hallway.

"Nope." Kyle shakes his head. "I tell you this everyday and the answer isn't going to change just because you keep bugging me about it."

"Aw Kylie, there's no need to be like that!" Heath laughs.

"Heath, leave your brother alone." Bianca says as she sits down at the dining table. "You annoy Kyle about surfing everyday and it's clear that his answer isn't going to change, so stop it." She says, Kyle grinning at his brother's face.

"This isn't over." Heath shakes his head.

"Yes it is." Ricky says from where she was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine while Denny played on her phone.

"Why are you always on his side? You're the ones who said we need to do more with Kylie, so why are you complaining about us trying to get him to take up surfing?" Heath asks.

"Because Kyle has already told you he doesn't want to go surfing, so you need to stop harassing him about it. When we said for you to do more with Kyle, we meant things he'll enjoy as well, and that's clearly not surfing." Bianca says.

"Then what else do you suggest because we couldn't think of anything else." Heath moans.

"Well how about you go for a surf while Kyle thinks of some things." Denny says, glancing over to the younger Braxton.

"I've got work soon, but I'm sure I can come up with something." Kyle smiles.

"How many times do you have to say that? Just come surfing with us!"

"Heath, how many times do we have to tell you no!" Bianca scowls.

Kyle loved it when the girls were around when he was teased about not surfing as they always backed him up without a doubt, telling his brother's off when the teasing went too far. Sometimes it did go a little too far and Heath and Bianca would end up having a small argument over him not listening to what was being said, but they all found it amusing more than anything, knowing it wasn't a serious argument. And his brothers always listened when the girls told them to stop.

"Even if I wanted to go surfing with you, I can't because I've got a shift that I need to leave for soon." Kyle says to them.

"Now are you boys going for a surf or what?" Ricky asks.

"Yeah, alright, we're going." Brax smirks, shoving Heath out the door before he started complaining again.

It was another morning when Brax, Heath and Casey were going for a surf, and they were trying to get Kyle to go with them again. Although this time the girls weren't home, having gone for breakfast in the diner as they all had a day off. Casey was the one that teased Kyle the least, not wanting to get involved even though they got on well now after putting the incident of the desert behind them. But Kyle thinks sometimes that was more for the sake of everyone else than themselves.

"Come on Kylie!" Heath groans. "What about wanting to be one of us?"

"I can be one of you and not surf. What's the problem with me not taking it up?" Kyle asks.

"Geez, I don't know, how about the fact you've got a moody look on your face all the time?" Brax rolls his eyes, this being a daily thing when they plan to go for a surf, and he is starting to get fed up with it now. "Can we just go now before we miss all the best waves? Kylie isn't going to come so let him play dress up with the girls when they get back."

"Come on you big wimp, what's the harm in coming with us?" Casey asks, hoping they'd be able to leave soon as the report he checked said it would be the best day for surfing.

"Are you scared of being embarrassed in front of some hot girls?" Heath asks with a smirk. "I'm sure they'd let you join in on their spa days once they see you out surfing, or even swimming in your case."

"Fine! I'll go out surfing just this once but that is it!" Kyle snaps, getting fed up with the constant teasing and name calling. He hoped it would finally stop after he does it once, but only time would tell as to whether his brothers would stop teasing him about it.

"Great, get the spare board." Heath says to Brax, who nods before walking out to get it out of storage. "Knew you'd give in soon."

"It's only to get you all off my back. There's plenty of stuff to do without me needing to take up surfing." Kyle huffs. "I better get changed then." He shakes his head, muttering under his breath as he walks to his room.

"Are the conditions going to be alright for a beginner?" Casey asks. Even though he read that it would be the best day for surfing, that was more for people with experience like him and his brothers.

"It'll be fine. He'll have us around and it will be good practice going straight in at the deep end." Heath says as Kyle walks out, looking just as moody as he did before, and it only caused Heath to burst out laughing.

"What?" Kyle glares. "Are we going now or can I go back inside?"

"Nope, we're going." Heath says, dragging Kyle out the door so he wouldn't have a chance to change his mind.

When they got down to the beach, Heath and Casey went straight into the water to start surfing while Brax stayed on the beach with Kyle to teach him the basics. He knew he should have probably had some more sessions before actually going out onto the water, but he couldn't bear to put up with his brothers teasing him any longer, so he was just going to have to prove himself even more out there.

"Are you actually going to pay attention when out there?" Brax asks. "Being out on the water isn't a joke, you need to remember what I've taught you."

"Yeah because a five minute lesson is going to help." Kyle scoffs. "I think I know enough about it when I live in a house of surfers. Even Denny and Bianca get involved now since Ricky taught them. At least they never teased me about not being able to surf, or forced me to go out with them everyday."

"Maybe it's about time you found yourself a chick so you don't feel left out." Brax shrugs as they pick their boards up.

"I've just been forced into surfing, I think I'm going to leave dating off the cards for a while." Kyle says.

"No one's forcing you to go out and date someone." Brax says.

"Well it's not like there's a huge choice of single girls around the Bay and I can barely go on nights out cause I work a lot of late shifts. It doesn't bother me, I'm fine not being in a relationship for now." Kyle says. "Anyway, it looks like Heath and Casey are getting inpatient out there, so we better go join them."

"Alright, just remember to paddle properly until we get past the waves. You'll be stuck in them for a while if you don't." Brax laughs before running into the water.

"Very funny." Kyle mutters, running out after him.

It was a little rough trying to get through the waves out to where Heath and Casey were waiting for them on a calmer stretch of water, but after a lot of paddling he made it. Of course it didn't go without some teasing but not as much as he normally got cause they were more impressed he actually stuck to it and reached them, but then they decided to finally start surfing instead of floating around on their boards.

They were surfing for quite a while and although Kyle wasn't hating it, he wasn't enjoying it either. He was managing to stay on his board a lot longer with each wave he rode and then they all started small competitions on who could stay on their board the longest. Of course Kyle knew he would lose that one, leading to more teasing, but he joined it on it anyway.

Brax and Casey went first, Brax winning after Casey lost his balance and then it was Heath against Kyle riding the next wave. The wave was quite a bit bigger than all the others but they rode it anyway. What they weren't expecting was it to get even bigger and rouge, wiping both of them out with their boards flying up into the air, neither of them being able to swim up as they got caught in a current.

Brax and Casey glanced at each other, not really knowing what just happened, they just knew their brothers hadn't come up from under the water yet. They paddled closer to where it happened, managing to grab their brothers board before looking around to see if Heath or Kyle resurfaced somewhere else, but they hadn't. Brax was about to dive down to look for them when Heath surfaced quite a bit away from them, spluttering up water.

"Heath?" Brax shouts over to him.

"Kyle!" Heath coughs before turning to where he heard him. "We got caught in a current, he was right behind me!" He panics, taking a deep breath before diving back down to find his little brother.

Brax and Casey paddled over to where they last saw Heath. They held onto their brothers boards for when they came back up, becoming more panicked as time when on. Brax was about to dive down himself to help them when Heath shot through the surface off the water again. He clung onto a limp Kyle, lifting him up onto his board, Brax helping him out before getting on his own board.

"We need to get back to shore, he breathed in a lot of water. I don't think he's breathing!" Heath panics, not being able to think straight.

All three of them paddle as quickly as they could back to the beach, Brax trying to rouse Kyle as he did, freaking out about him not waking up. Casey paddled far ahead of them, trying to get back to shore sooner than his brothers so he could go and get help. He eyed up John by the Surf Club, so ran towards him the second he felt the sand beneath him.

Brax and Heath were barely a minute behind him, pulling Kyle up onto the sand before Brax started CPR on his brother. Heath desperately looked around to see where Casey had gone, his eyes landing on him running down the beach with John and Nate close behind. He turned back to his two brothers, feeling a little better than they were going to have a doctor on hand now.

"Come on, Kyle, come on!" Brax whispers, feeling useless with each second that passed.

"Help is coming, Kylie, you just need to be okay." Heath mutters as Nate falls beside them on his knees.

"What happened?" Nate asks, keeping Brax on compressions and giving Kyle breaths while he checked for a pulse.

"A huge wave wiped us out, we got caught in a current but Kyle breathed in a lot of water. He was pretty much drowning out there!" Heath says.

"How long ago was this?" Nate asks, needing to know all the information.

"About five minutes ago, maybe, I'm not sure." Heath says.

"An ambulance is on its way." John says as he talks down his phone to an operator.

"Okay." Nate nods as he glances up at him, shooting his gaze down as Kyle finally splutters water. "Kyle, can you hear me?" He asks, feeling a good pulse.

"Yeah." Kyle whispers, shutting his eyes as he feels nausea taking over him.

"Kyle, I need you to keep your eyes open." Nate says, looking at Heath. "I need you to keep him awake, keep talking to him."

"Come on Kylie, you have to stay with us." Heath says, wishing he'd never forced Kyle into coming surfing with them until he'd been taught a lot more, although even he struggled out there.

"Casey, go and wait for the ambulance so they know where we are." Nate says to him.

"On it." Casey nods, sprinting up the beach as he starts to hear sirens getting louder and louder.

"John, I need a blanket." Nate says, not liking how cold Kyle felt.

"Here." John says, handing him the emergency blanket from the first aid bag he had brought down with him.

"Oi you big girl it's not a time to nap, keep those eyes open." Heath firmly says as he notices Kyle's drooping shut as Nate wraps the blanket around Kyle.

"You're the girl fussing like that." Kyle quietly mutters, causing his two big brothers to laugh.

"Wasn't bad enough to get rid of that terrible sense of humour of yours." Brax smiles.

"Must run in the family." Kyle faintly scoffs, starting to shiver from the cold, even though it was a warm summer's day.

"Do you remember what happened out there?" Nate asks, wanting to rule a head injury out in case he was hit by his board without them knowing.

"A wave wiped me out, I couldn't swim back up… I tried so hard but it couldn't get up and then everything went black." Kyle says.

"Okay." Nate nods, glad Kyle could recall what happened.

"You got caught in a current, I had to save your life." Heath smiles, noticing Casey heading back towards them with paramedics.

"Just don't go on about it for ages, your heads big enough as it is." Kyle scoffs.

"I agree with that." Brax smiles.

"What've we got?" One of the paramedics asks as they approach them.

"Kyle Braxton, 23 years old, wiped out by a wave while surfing before drowning. Brought back to life after about five minutes of CPR and rescue breaths, has a strong pulse and clear airways. I'm worried about him getting pneumonia, we need to get him to the hospital so I can run some scans to find out more." Nate says.

Kyle was then put on a stretcher before being taken up to the ambulance. Heath went with him while Brax drove behind them with Casey, who rang the girls to let them know what had happened. Nate had gone ahead on his motorbike so he could prepare the scans for Kyle's arrival, which wasn't long after he got there.

Heath had to wait in the waiting area for his brothers while Kyle went for scans, and he felt so guilty over what happened out there. He knew it wouldn't have happened if he just listened in the first place and stopped teasing him about it, and now Kyle was in hospital, but luckily he survived and would be okay.
