Day 1 - Select a book at random in the room. Copy down the last sentence and use this line as the first line of your drabble.
My husband picked up 'Mein Kampf' by Adolf Hitler. The last sentence 'May the adherents of our movement never forget this if ever the magnitude of the sacrifices should beguile them to an anxious comparison with the possible results.' doesn't belong to me.
Sirius and Remus do not belong to me.
'May the adherents of our movement never forget this if ever the magnitude of the sacrifices should beguile them to an anxious comparison with the possible results.'
These were the last words Dumbledore had said to the Order before leaving and Sirius couldn't stop thinking about them. Even Remus sat confused by these words. Dumbledore was notorious for saying things that left everyone confused, but this was the most confusing of them all.
"What do you think he meant by that, Remus?"
"I have no clue honestly. I don't think he means for us to understand if you ask me," he sighed before turning to Sirius. "May the adherents of our movement… Meaning us and those on our side of the war. Never forget this… well that is obvious. If ever the magnitude of sacrifices… Again self-explanatory. Should beguile them… Beguile means to charm or enchant. To an anxious comparison with the possible results… This almost seems like he forgot to finish his thoughts."
"It does seem like he forgot to finish his thoughts," Sirius sighed.
"I can't keep thinking of Dumbledore's madness, Sirius. I need…" Remus stopped thinking for a second.
"What do you need?" Sirius asked seductively.
"You," Remus blushed before moving to straddle his lover. "Who else?"
"I will give you anything you want. Let's just get home first," Sirius blushed as well.
"Deal."
