The next day At the daily bugle
J Jonah jameson Is seen looking at pictures of spider-man for his next newspaper
"crap...crap...crap...These are all crap!" J Jonah jameson says as throws the pictures to the ground
"Why can nobody get me good pictures of spider-man!" Jameson says mad
"...wait...a contest! Yes, a contest to see who gets the best pictures of spider-man In action!" jameson says smiling rising his hand up
"Uh sir...why did you raise your hand up?" one of the workers asks
"GET OF HERE IN TWO POINT THREE SECONDS BEFORE I RIP OFF YOUR NUTSACK!" jameson screams as the worker runs off
Meanwhile off In the city
A group of six guys are seen doing a drug deal
"50% that's all I'm doing!" one of the men says
"God damnIt! 70%" another one of the men says
"Hey jackasses!" someone says
They turn around to see someone In a shitty homemade spider-man suit
Being a suit made out of red fingerless gloves a blue shirt red jacket blue jeans and a red mask
"...who are you?" one of the men asks
"Spider-man!" the person says...all of the men can tell he's not the real spider-man
"More like spider-shit!" one of the men says as pulls out a bat and swings It at the fake spider-man
The fake spider-man tries to avoid It but gets hit and knocked to the ground and all six of the men begin to beat on him
The real spider-man then shoots a web and swings one of the guys Into a wall before landing In front of them
"Does It really take this many guys to rob a single teenager?" gumball says as he grabs two of the men by the heads and smashes them Into the ground
Kicks two of the men right In the balls and punches them In the face
And takes out the last one by just bitch slapping really hard
Afterwards he webs them up and goes to check on the fake spider-man
"Hey buddy You ok?" gumball says haven deepened his voice as he reaches out his hand as the fake spider-man gets happy
"You're spider-man! You're the amazing spider-man! You're the spectacular spider-man!" the fake spider-man says
"And many other things the news calls me...look what you were trying to do was brave...but I don't need someone else trying to do what I'm doing" gumball says
"Sorry spider-man!...I'm just a really big fan Is and wanted to try and help Is all" the fake spider-man says as he takes off his mask showing He's actually tobias
"Ok well uhh...what's your name?" gumball asks
"Tobias! My name Is tobias! Tobias wilson!" tobias says
"Alright well...let me tell you this...don't put your life on the line to try and help don't get me wrong I put my life on the line a lot but when I do it i have a way to stop myself from getting killed because I have superpowers...you don't so how you can help me Is...lead a hand If someone you know needs help, If you see someone Is having a hard time help them...and If you see someone getting robbed or something call the cops...You don't have to wear a mask to try and help" gumball says
"...spider-man I got It! I'll make sure to not put my life on the line anymore!" tobias says
"Good...alright talks over gotta go!" gumball says as he jumps up and swings away
After about 30 minutes of swinging he gets home and gets out of his spider-suit
Once he walks In his dad Is there who was waiting to talk to him
"Hey gumball...we need to talk" richard says with a somewhat sad look on his face
"Ok...what's up dad?" gumball asks
"Sit down" richard says as they both sit down
"I'm worried about you gumball. You stay out late and come back beat up...I saw the cuts and all on your chest that night and last night your face was all cut up...now It looks better but you still have a black eye...what have you gotten yourself Into?" richard asks with a worried look on his face
Gumball stops for a moment
He wants to tell richard what's going on
He wants to tell him that he's spider-man
But he knows he can't
He knows his dad will freak out
"You know gumball...your mother had a philosophy that she held to pretty strongly and It's one that served her very very well...she believed that If there were things In this world that you had to offer things that you did well...better than anyone else...things that you could do that helped people or made people feel better about themselves well she believed that It wasn't just a good Idea to do those things she believed It was your responsibility to do those things don't try to be something else don't try to be less...she told me great things were gonna happen In your life gumball great things...and with that would come great responsibility...I remember her saying was...with great power there must also come great responsibility...do you understand that gumball? Great responsibility" richard says
Gumball Is shocked to have heard that
"dad...She already told me with great power comes great responsibility before she di-" before gumball could say anything they felt the house shake and see the lights turn on and off a few times
Gumball looks outside to see someone walking down the sidewalk In some sort of green suit
With sparks coming from It his...well spider-sense goes off telling him this Is bad news
He wants to get out of there quick to see what's up with that guy
"Uh…anyways...2 days before she died she told me that with great power comes great responsibility...I just didn't think...I'm sorry dad" gumball says looking down feeling bad that he lied about what happened
"What are you saying sorry for?" richard asks
"I don't know…" gumball says before getting up and heading to his room
Richard just lets him go
