Jubal went to the school and after speaking to the principal briefly she agreed to let him take Tyler out of school early. Tyler was surprised when his teacher told him to pack up his bag and head to the principals office, but he smiled when he saw his dad standing waiting for him. Tyler ran up to him hugging Jubal.

"Dad, what are you doing here? Is everything okay?."

Jubal smiled hugging Tyler and kissing the top of his head "Everything is okay buddy, your sister wasn't feeling well so she was sent home about an hour ago. So I came to take you home early as well."

"Is Abby at home with mum?."

Jubal shook his head "Abby is at my place with Maggie." Jubal smiled as he watched Tyler.

Tyler lifted his head quickly looking at his dad and smiling brightly "Maggie's home?."

His kids really did love Maggie, Jen was right he was so lucky that his girlfriend and his kids loved each other so much. They really were a family "She is buddy, so my boss let me leave early to come collect you so that we could go home and spend time with Maggie and Abby."

Tyler couldn't hide his excitement as they said goodbye to the principal after Jubal had signed a form for Tyler to be able to leave early. Tyler and Abby had really missed Maggie, more than either had let on but Jubal was starting to see that now with Tyler's reaction and the way that Abby was practically lying on Maggie on FaceTime. Jubal and Tyler headed home with Tyler talking most of the way, asking if Abby was okay and if Maggie was happy to be home, Jubal couldn't stop smiling as he was reminded of how caring his son was, he hoped that was something that never changed.

When they got inside the house Jubal told Tyler to go upstairs and get changed, the young boy left his school bag in the living room going as quiet as he could when he saw Maggie and Abby sound asleep. Jubal watched Tyler until the young boy disappeared up the stairs, he came around to the couch and his heart melted with the image before his eyes. Abby was now lying completely on top of Maggie, her head on Maggie's chest tucked in under her chin and Maggie had her arms tight around Abby as if protecting her in her sleep.

Jubal couldn't stop himself as he took a quick picture before walking closer, he knew that Maggie's ribs were going to be screaming at her when she woke. He tried to gently lift Abby but Maggie's arms just tightened around her when she felt someone trying to move Abby, it was her instinct to protect the young girl. Jubal tried again and chuckled softly as Maggie would not let go, he hunkered down beside the couch as he watched Maggie start to waken up, he leaned in kissing her temple.

"Hey baby" he spoke quietly to her "It's only me trying to move Abby, I'm going to put her in the spare room downstairs."

Maggie was trying to waken up completely as she listened to Jubal, knowing it was him she took her arms from around Abby as Jubal stood up and carefully lifted her carrying her in to the spare bedroom downstairs. He tucked Abby in to the bed making sure that she was still sound asleep, she curled up tighter under the blanket cuddling her unicorn teddy, he kissed her head before closing the bedroom door over a little but not completely.

Jubal came back out to the living room and he smiled seeing Maggie sitting up now, she was leaning her head back against the back of the couch, he came over sitting down beside her kissing her cheek.

"Sorry baby I didn't mean to waken you but you would not let go of Abby." He chuckled softly.

Maggie moved to lay her head on Jubal's shoulder "You don't have to apologise baby, I had only planned on closing my eyes for a few minutes. Is there someone up our stairs?."

Jubal ran his hand along Maggie's arm slowly taking her hand in his entangling their fingers resting their hands on his thigh. "Tyler is up stairs getting changed and then he will be right back down."

"Have I been asleep that long?."

Jubal chuckled kissing Maggie's head "No baby, Isobel came in to the conference room right after our FaceTime and told me to go collect Tyler and go home to spend time with you."

Maggie moved her head back to the couch so that she could see Jubal and she smiled looking at him, lifting her free hand she caressed his cheek as she leaned in kissing him softly "We really do owe Isobel a lot for everything she has done and is doing for us." She was resting her forehead lightly against Jubal's.

"She said it's her job to look out for her agents and right now she said it's best for us to be together at home and taking time with our family. Seeing you and Abby on FaceTime had me just wanting to find any excuse possible to leave and come home, Isobel saved me from having to come up with that excuse." Jubal smiled as he leaned in kissing Maggie again softly.

Tyler had come down and in to the living room but he stood a little unsure of himself, he could instantly see the bruise and cut on Maggie's cheek and he didn't know if he should go to her or not. Jubal had been laying with his head on the back of the couch with Maggie but he saw Tyler straight away and lifted his head.

"It's okay buddy Maggie is okay I promise."

Maggie turned her head to face Tyler when she heard Jubal and she opened her arm for Tyler to sit down beside her, which he accepted straight away. Jubal let go of Maggie's hand when Tyler sat down beside her so that she could wrap both her arms around Tyler hugging him tight.

"Your dad is right, I am really okay. Just a few bruises." She spoke softly to Tyler, she knew he was a kid that worried a lot about things.

Tyler smiled hearing Maggie, he was hugging her back instantly when he felt her arms around him "It's so good to have you home Mags we really missed having you around and not being here when we came to stay with Dad."

Maggie smiled as she pulled back from the hug, she was surprised yet thankful when Tyler stayed beside her, snuggled in to her side, his head was now resting on her shoulder. "I really missed you and Abby so much, I didn't have anyone to talk to about soccer, well not anyone that understood what I was saying like you do."

That had Tyler chuckling softly "Dad tried to listen and understand when I was talking about practice but I don't think it was working."

"Hey! I was not that bad, I did learn some things from listening to you." Jubal joked playfully with Tyler but he was struggling a little with his own emotions, seeing Tyler snuggled in to Maggie's side made him realise that Tyler had really missed Maggie. His son normally wasn't one for snuggling up the way that he was right now with Maggie.

"We can keep trying to teach him together." Maggie chuckled kissing Tyler's head as she ran her hand along his arm. "Your dad showed me the videos that Gina had taken from your practice, you have gotten so good, I'm so proud of you."

Tyler titled his head so that he could look at Maggie with such a large smile on his face "You're really proud of me? I was so excited when Dad told me that Gina sent them to him."

Jubal was thankful that the flash was off on his phone as he took a picture of Maggie and Tyler, she had her arm around Tyler's shoulders and the young boy was looking at her with a large smile on his face, Maggie had a smile to match. Jubal wasn't sure his heart could handle all the love that he was feeling seeing Maggie back with his kids again.

Maggie smiled looking at Tyler "I really am Tyler, you have gotten so confident in your abilities and it's showing in your practice. I can't wait to come and watch you at your next match. But I am going to warn you, I may be shouting a little louder than your Dad." She joked playfully with Tyler.

Tyler laughed hearing Maggie "He was shouting loud enough for you both at the game while you were away. We have a game on Saturday will you be able to come?." He asked much quieter about the game.

"Nothing could make me miss it Tyler, I've missed watching you and I think we can talk your Dad in to taking us all for ice cream after." Maggie smiled playfully as she looked at Jubal "What you think babe, sound good to you?."

Jubal was sure that Maggie would never stop surprising him, he knew she was struggling with being back home after her assignment yet there wasn't even a second of hesitation from her about agreeing to attend Tyler's game. This woman was teaching him that he was capable of a lot more love than he ever thought possible.

"Back together less than an hour and you already have the kids on your side again." Jubal teased playfully but he couldn't shake the large and genuine smile that was currently on his face. "I think ice cream after the game on Saturday with three of my favourite people sounds perfect."

Maggie was about to reply when she spotted Abby coming walking behind Jubal cuddling her unicorn tight, Maggie smiled softly at Abby "Hey sweety you feeling any better?."

Jubal turned his head when he heard Maggie and he smiled softly seeing his daughter who hadn't completely woke up yet. She climbed up in to Jubal's lap laying her head against Jubal's chest as she lay her legs across Maggie's thighs. "My throat really hurts. Who moved me off you I was comfy."

Jubal chuckled hearing Abby, he kissed her head running his hand along her back slowly "I did baby girl, I thought you would be more comfy laying in the bed for a little bit. But you can stay out here with us."

Maggie couldn't help the large smile as she watched Abby rub her cheek against Jubal's chest, he had wore one of his jumpers today to work which was nice and soft. Maggie reached out brushing Abby's hair from her face behind her ear "Daddy's jumpers are really soft aren't they?."

Abby giggled a little "It's really soft and cosy." She snuggled more in to Jubal for the warmth from his body as she was still a little sleepy. Tyler had stayed snuggled in to Maggie's side and Maggie had lay her head on Jubal's shoulder, he lifted his arm wrapping it around Maggie. This was something he could get used to his, his daughter cuddled up on his lap, his girlfriend laying with her head on his shoulder and his son tucked in to her side. The only thing he would change was his daughter feeling unwell. This was what it felt like to have a family who loved each other unconditionally.
