Innocent Feelings

Envy

Gohan winced slightly as he woke up, his head spinning; it felt heavy, hazy. The sun hitting his eyelids was making it hard to open his eyes. He tried rubbing his temple, but something was on his arm and prevented any movement.

It was like his headache simply went poof. Maybe it was the sudden rush of endorphins caused by the sight of the beautiful angel in his arms, smiling sleepily at him, or maybe he'd just needed to wake up completely; in any case, the moment he saw her beautiful face his head suddenly felt light and clear.

"Hey there, sleepy head," she said in a slightly croaky voice, brushing his cheek with her fingers before running them through his hair. "Slept well?"

He let his eyes close again and smiled in pure bliss. "Hm-mhh," he hummed in reply. "The best part is definitely waking up with you in my arms, though."

Videl tucked her head under his chin and snuggled up to him as he wrapped his arms tighter around her. "Agreed," she whispered, her breath tickling his bare chest.

They stayed like this for some time, revelling in each other's warmth, savoring this wonderful feeling of being so close, their bare skins meshed together. Being together like this… If only it could be like this every morning… Going to sleep in each other's arms every night and waking up together every morning…

Gohan sighed in content. This moment… it was just perfect. Just her, and him. Alone in their own little world. Her scent, her skin, her curves, her presence, her soul… His heart was so full of love for this girl, it was overflowing, it was flooding everywhere.

"I love you so much," he whispered into her hair, planting a soft kiss on her temple.

Videl pulled back slightly and raised her head to look at him, her deep blue eyes twinkling in that special way that made him feel so happy and light-hearted. She cupped his cheek and brought him down to her to share a kiss. Gohan felt another rush of endorphins – and he melted, completely. His fingers trembled as he cupped her cheek, tangling them in her hair. He felt her smile against his lips and he couldn't help grinning back as they kept kissing.

Videl pulled back slightly to let out a giggle, her shoulders shaking slightly. Their gazes met and Gohan felt his heart soar. His eyes twinkled with mirth as his grin widened.

"You're so cute," she said, laying the side of her head in the crook of her arm, using her other hand to stroke his hair.

A sense of peace washed over him, filling his chest with warmth. Gohan put his hand on the small of her back and pulled her closer, pressing their foreheads together. "You're cuter," he murmured closing his eyes, the grin never leaving his face.

"Now that's just crazy talk," she replied, laughter in her voice. Gohan chuckled and rubbed his nose on hers.

They kissed again, their sighs of content and bliss mingling as one. He felt his body relax completely, his head a most pleasant haze. Their tongues found each other naturally, dancing to a slow and intoxicating tune. It took them to a world of their own, just him, and her, alone, free… in love.

So desperately in love.

Breathless, Gohan pulled back to look at his angel through half-lidded eyes. She gave him a small, drunken smile, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I love you, Gohan," she whispered, a lovely blush streaked across her face.

He felt it. He knew – he just knew. This moment. This was it. His lips parted as his eyes bore into hers with a new intensity. Videl blinked and then her breath shortened, the redness on her cheeks deepening.

She knew it too. He could tell. He smiled and leaned in, pressing trembling lips on her own while he moved on top of her under the covers. Her body had never felt more delicious as in that instant. His throat was tight with anticipation at the thought of finally tasting all of her, of becoming one with the love of his life, at long last.

When he pulled back again to let them catch their breath, Videl met his eye with some uncertainty. He smiled reassuringly, cupping her cheek. It was like he could hear her ask, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure," he breathed, gazing upon this gorgeous young woman he was so lucky to love. She cracked a smile, pleased and amused that he'd read her mind so accurately. "I love you, Videl… more than anything." He leaning in to nuzzle her neck and let out a deep sigh, his breath tickling her skin. He could feel her goosebumps from his hand on her waist. "And I want to show you just how much…"

Videl bit her lip as her boyfriend started ravishing her skin with kisses. She closed her eyes and commanded her heart to calm the hell down – to no avail, alas. It was actually happening… Gohan and her, they were finally going to…

"Are you sure you're not still a little drunk from last night?" she asked in a heavy breath, before letting out a faint moan when Gohan cupped her breast with a, by now, quite skilled hand.

"Positive," he mumbled into her hair, humming delectably as he breathed her in. "My head's as clear as the clearest water." He was playing with her nipple now… and his other hand was slowly sliding down her waist, to her hip.

Videl swallowed. She couldn't believe how nervous she was. This was what she'd wanted for so long – it felt to her like Gohan had made her wait for years, really. She'd been ready to jump him so many times since their first kiss, and sometimes in public places too – like yesterday at the beach, for instance. She'd been going crazy from waiting for Gohan to be ready, from craving for him, from all her hormones going insane with lust and pent-up frustration, coupled with her bursting, immeasurable love for him, which really hadn't helped her situation one bit.

And now there he was, giving her what she had so desired for what felt like an eternity…

And she wasn't sure her nerves were going to make it.

Gohan raised his head and flicked her nose with his, rubbing it gently, his eyes closed. He kissed her lips, ever so softly, like the touch of a feather.

When he pulled back, he met her gaze through half-lidded eyes, the twinkle in them making her heart melt. He brushed her hair away from her face with the tip of his fingers… She loved how tender his touch was. He kissed her forehead, her temple, her cheek… and then her lips again.

She was melting. He was so gentle, so loving… So… perfect.

Videl forgot she'd been a nervous wreck just two seconds ago. She wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss, shutting off her mind completely, losing herself to the man she loved more than she ever imagined could be possible.

The beautiful, gentle, adorable man who was about to take her whole – and she was wholeheartedly willing to give herself to him completely, to let him have everything and anything he wanted. She was his to do whatever his heart desired. She trusted him like she'd never trusted anyone before.

She smiled through the kiss as a sense of gratefulness washed over her being. She was glad, in the end, that Gohan had made her wait. He'd been right. This moment… it felt so right. It was perfect. It'd been so worth waiting for…

"I love you, Gohan," she murmured breathlessly against his lips.

"I love you too, Videl…" He pulled back slightly as he said it back, his chest heaving deeply. "You make me so happy…"

Videl opened her eyes slightly and beamed at him. "That's all I ever wanted."

His expression softened and he leaned in to steal another kiss. His hands started moving over her body once more. She sighed in delight into his mouth as he ran one up her thigh, his fingers lightly brushing her skin in a delicious feather-like caress. She responded by running hers down his strong back, savoring the way he moaned in appreciation.

He let go of her mouth and started kissing her throat. Videl craned her neck to give him better access and bit her lip as Gohan used his left hand to tease her breast, the right one still busy running up and down her thigh, each time coming dangerously closer to her crotch. She cupped his ass then and bucked her hips, craving for him more than ever. She wanted, no, she needed to feel him closer, deeper…

Videl let out a shaky breath as his arousal pressed up between her legs. "K… Kiss me, Gohan…"

He raised his head from kissing her shoulder and shot her a grin – and happily obliged. She took one of her hands to cup his cheek, as if to steady herself. Her whole body was trembling in pleasure and anticipation…

"I want you so much…" she panted between two kisses. She wrapped her legs around his midsection and pressed him even closer against her. She wished they weren't wearing any underwear right now…

Well, there was a simple solution to that, now wasn't there?

"I want you too, Videl…" Gohan whispered breathlessly, his voice hoarse with desperation and urgency. He pressed his forehead to hers. Then his right hand went up to her waist, before lowering slowly, going under her panties. "I… I need you so much…"

She gasped when he started stroking her crotch. Turning her head to the side, the young woman put her hand over her mouth to muffle the moans and cries of pleasure her boyfriend was eliciting out of her with his fingers. He took advantage of her craned neck to ravish it with kisses, while his left hand was still fondling her breast and playing with her nipple.

Videl almost bit her hand to stop herself from screaming his name. Her whole body was tingling and trembling and feverishly hot. All their fooling around had sure helped Gohan know just the right way to touch her…

Gosh, she couldn't wait to feel him inside her already…

Biting down on her lip to stop herself from making too much noise – a shame the rooms here weren't soundproof – Videl removed her hand from over her mouth and started tugging at Gohan's boxers, eager to get them off.

He didn't react to her impatience and simply moved his head lower to care for her left-out breast with his mouth. He planted hot, wet kisses between her cleavage, and at the same time rubbed her clitoris with his thumb.

She grabbed his ass under his underwear and pressed him harder against her. Her head was going numb with pleasure. But she wanted him, dammit. As much as she was enjoying his touch, she wanted to feel him deep inside of her, so badly. She couldn't wait a second longer. She was going insane here!

Gosh, and he was sucking her nipple now…!

Gohan didn't seem to think it was time yet, however, obviously enjoying himself immensely as he slowly, so excruciatingly slowly devoured her, feasting on her body like it was the most delectable meal – so delectable, in fact, that even a glutton like Gohan had to savor every bite.

And as frustrating as his torturous pace felt… Videl couldn't deny loving every second of it.

The loud pounding on the door startled them. They looked at each other and blinked as the person kept pounding on every door in the hallway and yelling something that was hard to make out in all that racket.

But Gohan's earing was better than normal, and he blanched as he finally made out what their classmate was yelling.

"It's him!" the guy was saying excitedly. "Mr. Satan's here! Everyone, get up already! Get up, get up, get up! Mr. Satan's here! Mr. Satan! Stop sleeping in already and get the hell up! MR. FUCKING SATAN, I'M TELLING YOU!"

Videl froze in horror as Ruler's recognizable voice rose with excitement and got louder than his fist pounding on all the doors.

"Fuck."

She wasn't one to use such language usually, as she was a public image and a role model to little kids – but fuck seemed like the only appropriate reaction to this freezing cold shower.

She and Gohan shared a horrified look, him still lying on top of her in the bed.

They were in bed together, and Videl's father was in the house.

After the initial shock, the panic took over. Gohan was quick to get up and started to gather their clothes as he found them around the room, on the furniture, on the floor – he even found Videl's bra hanging from a bedside lamp. "I'm flying us out the window to your bedroom and then I'll come back here. We can't both come out of my room."

He tossed her clothes to her as he made sure he'd left no evidence of his girlfriend sleeping here, his eyes sweeping the room carefully and in a hurry.

Videl felt her throat tighten as she started getting dressed. She couldn't believe this was happening. Their perfect moment… gone in a poof, vanished into thin air – ruined by none other than her own father. To think they'd been so close… After they had waited so long for the moment to feel just right…

Still clad in only his boxers, Gohan looked at her over his shoulder as he'd just made sure the coast was clear out the window. She looked away and wiped her eyes quickly. He blanched, and he was back by her side the next moment. He gently brushed away her tears with his knuckles.

"Hey, it's okay," he whispered, pulling her against him as he wrapped his arms tightly around her and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. "We'll have better luck next time. The timing is just…"

"…The worst timing ever," she mumbled into the crook of his neck. "I can't believe this is happening… And we were finally…"

He pulled back slightly to cup her face with both his hands, looking deep into her eyes. He smiled at her and Videl sighed in defeat, unable not to smile back at him. "I love you, okay? That's all that matters. There will be a next time, I promise – very soon."

She blushed at his words and the implication behind them. "I love you too," she replied simply.

He kissed her lips for a few seconds, before pulling away reluctantly, knowing they couldn't waste any time. He stood with a heavy sigh and looked at her with a disappointed smile.

Disappointment didn't even begin to describe how they both felt right now.

He held out his hand to her. "Come on, let's go."

She sighed as she took his hand and let him help her up. "Yeah."

Well, there was nothing they could do about it now. Might as well try not to get caught. Like they needed to make things worse…

Ugh. Timing was such a heartless bitch sometimes.

ooOoo

Back in his assigned bedroom and freshly out of a quick shower, Gohan took a deep breath as he stood before the closed door, trying to find his nerve. After what almost just happened in this very room, not to mention everything he and Videl had done up to now… facing her father wasn't going to be a walk in the park.

But he could not look guilty. He had to be as inconspicuous as possible. If Mr. Satan were to find out just what had been going on between him and his daughter, Gohan was positive that he would be dead meat – the man would find a way to murder him, no matter what it took.

He didn't think what they had been doing – or what they had been about to do – was anything wrong. They were both of age, and they were madly in love with one another. The fact that their relationship had grown to become physical was simply the natural progression between them.

But an overprotective parent like Hercule, or his own mother for that matter, would never see things that way. The man probably still saw Videl like his little girl, which Gohan understood perfectly. He imagined that if he ever had a daughter he certainly would've felt the same way. Although Gohan hoped that he would be able to be a more open-minded parent. He knew all too well how exhausting an overprotective parent could be, and he wanted to do things differently when he became a dad.

The thought and everything it implicated made him smile wishfully. He kinda hoped that one day, he and Videl did have a daughter, and that she would look just like her mother. He hoped she would get Videl's confidence too, and her smile, and her good heart, and her sense of justice…

He chuckled to himself, feeling a little less nervous. Gohan knew he was, once again, getting way ahead of himself, but he just couldn't help imagining his future with Videl. She was his future. There was no other way about it. Sometimes he wished he could just get ahead in time and live his happily ever after with Videl already.

But then he would miss all the little moments, all the first times and new experiences they had yet to live together.

Picturing his life with the girl he loved always had a calming effect on the boy. He felt a lot better now. His gaze dropped to the doorknob and he smiled to himself, a little nervous still. Well, ready or not, might as well get it over with…

He opened the door and walked out, going through the hallway to the living area. He didn't meet anyone on the way, which made sense as he had been quite slow to come out of his room, and everybody else was understandably eager to meet "the man who saved the world". He could sense the crowd surrounding the above average ki signature of Videl's father, confirming his reasoning.

All heads turned to him when he appeared on the arched entryway – the last to arrive. He gave a nervous, and unknown to him adorable grin and scratched the back of his head out of habit. His classmates were all sitting around Mr. Satan, either on chairs, couches, and even on the floor. The champ had been in the middle of telling them one of his many stories until Gohan's entrance interrupted him.

The tension rose in the room. Most of the teens looked between Videl's imposing father and her nerdy boyfriend, wondering if the man was really okay with Gohan dating his precious little girl.

"Uh, hello, sir. It's a pleasure to see you again." Gohan bowed respectfully, and when he straightened himself up again he was relieved to see a smile on Mr. Satan's rugged face.

"Good to see you too, boy. I hope you're treating my daughter right?"

His tone was humorous, but Gohan still tensed up at the question. Well, it wasn't like he wasn't treating Videl right… He may be treating her a little to well to her father's liking. If only he knew…

"Daaad…" Videl sighed tiredly and hid her face with her hand in embarrassment. She was sitting on the floor with their usual group of friends.

"Of course," Gohan replied nonetheless with an awkward chuckle. "And I always will." As he said that, he looked pointedly at his beautiful girlfriend. He liked that she blushed a little and gave him a shy smile in response.

"So you really are okay with Gohan dating Videl, Mr. Satan, sir?" one of their male classmates asked in disbelief.

"Didn't you have a rule that said her boyfriend had to be stronger than you?" This time it was Nevy who put in her two cents.

Mr. Satan coughed into his fist, his ill-shaved face reddening the slightest bit. It amused Gohan that technically, he exceeded the man's seemingly "impossible rule" effortlessly.

"Well… Gohan's… not bad," the world champion mumbled begrudgingly. "And he makes Videl happy, and that's really all I want for her."

Videl beamed at her father, glad he didn't say something embarrassing for once. "And he really does," she confirmed, locking eyes with the boy in question.

Daniel entered the room and bowed respectfully to his employer. "As you have asked, Mr. Satan, sir, brunch is ready to be served."

"Excellent!" he replied, clapped his hands, before turning to the class. "Everyone, to the dining room."

Gohan's stomach growled in approval at the mention of food. It was already quite late and he still hadn't eaten a thing since last night. He walked up to Videl and their friends as their class moved together to the dining room. She smiled up at him as their hands naturally sought one another, like two opposites of a magnet.

"Hey, you," he said softly, resisting the urge to lean over and kiss her lips.

Said beautiful lips drew out a lovely smile. "Hey."

Gosh, the urge to claim her mouth was getting worse. Not in front of her dad, Gohan had to remind himself. It was easy to forget the world around them when Videl was all he could see.

They arrived to the dining room. The luxury of the place was blinding. Gohan almost had to shield his eyes from such extravagance. There were several round tables in the room, which would be more than enough for the lot of them. The wood of the floor, the tables, the chairs, even the windowsills, was polished and sparkling, the tablecloths were of the purest white. The silverware shone like the reflection of the sun on the ocean. The decoration – the paintings, the sculptures, the flower arrangement even – it all gave a feeling of royalty. Gohan was in awe. It was making his head spin.

The four members of the staff, Daniel, Gabriel, Ariel, and Raphael arrived then, each pushing a cart filled with the most exquisite dishes. The smells were intoxicating, and Gohan felt his stomach growl in approval and anticipation.

He and Videl, Erasa, Sharpner, Ruler and Nevy settled in one of the tables. Gohan wished Nevy could eat somewhere else, and immediately felt guilty of thinking that. She was new in their school and Sharpner was her cousin, it was only logical that he included her in their group of friends. Sure, her negative vibes were off-putting, especially because they always seemed to intensify whenever she looked at him, but Gohan knew he had to accept that some people just didn't like you, even if you did nothing wrong and they had no real reason.

As plate after plate were set on their table, however, he quickly forgot his train of thoughts and happily dug in. It took a lot of self-control to remember his manners and not eat like a caveman – thankfully, however, his mother had raised him properly, and his etiquette was long engraved into him.

"It's a shame we have to leave today," Erasa said with a sigh as she helped herself some salad.

"Do we have to?" Ruler asked, turning to Videl. "I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I don't have to leave with my family until next week. Would it be okay if me and others like me stayed here for a bit longer? This place is so awesome!"

Videl smiled, her eyes softening, and Gohan felt himself melt. It was the kind of smile that showed the goodness of her heart, the part of her he loved most of all. Her aura radiated with kindness and warmth, and the lovestruck boy let himself be engulfed by her positive energy.

"I don't see why not," she replied simply. "The staff will have to stay too, of course, and I'm sure they won't mind. Be sure to behave and not give them too much work though, all right?"

Ruler's face lit up with excitement. "Oh man, oh geez, you're so awesome, Videl – I swear, we're so lucky you're in our class."

"That you are," Nevy commented over the rim of her glass. She set it down and smirked. "I wish I could be in your class too."

"Wouldn't that be something, though?" Sharpner grinned with good humor. "First Brains, then you getting in our class? People would start wondering why we get all the new kids."

"That sucks," Erasa sighed again, her mouth puckering in a pout. "I have to leave tomorrow. I still can't stay."

"Well, so do I anyway," Videl shrugged. "So at least you're not missing out on more quality time with me," she added with a wink.

Erasa chuckled, finally lightening up. "I guess so. Where are you going, by the way? Family vacation, too?"

"Or love escape with your nerdy boyfriend?" Sharpner teased, wriggling his eyebrows. Inevitably, Gohan's face flared up in a flash, averting his eyes to the beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

"Get your head out of the gutter," Videl said rolling her eyes, trying to ignore the red pigments forming on her face. "I'll be training the whole summer."

"That doesn't sound fun," Erasa pouted. "Surely it's not all you're going to do this summer, is it? Won't you spare some time for Gohan too?"

"I'll be visiting her, of course," Gohan chimed in. "There's no way I'm spending the whole summer break without seeing Videl. That's just crazy talk."

Laughter echoed from their table. But Gohan could still feel the bad vibrations that Nevy gave off even though she laughed like everyone else. But there was no mirth in her eyes. Gohan saw only antipathy as she glanced to him, her fake smile plastered on her face.

All humor had left his being as he locked eyes with her. There was a glint in hers, and it was making the half-Saiyan uncomfortable. He had a bad feeling about this girl… It looked as though she was up to something. Her ki felt so unpleasant and…

And full of bad intentions.

No, he had to be wrong. Nevy was Sharpner's cousin, and Sharpner was one of his best friends. Sure, she definitely hated his guts, but to think she would actually do something to him? Well, other than planting unwanted seeds of doubts in his head… and trying to make him kiss another girl… in front of Videl… But that was it, right? Surely, she wasn't going to do anything worse than that to him, was she?

Maybe he should have a talk with her sometime before they had to leave the beach house… Maybe it was all a misunderstanding and they were one heart-to-heart away from a new friendship.

"Will you be staying longer as well, Nevy?" he asked the dyed blonde.

That fake smile again, and her aversion for him emanating from her aura getting stronger. "No, I'm going home. I have a lot to do before my mom and I have to go on vacation."

The way she emphasized on "a lot" inexplicably gave him an unpleasant shudder. Gohan hoped it was all in his head. Why did Nevy hate him so much? What had he ever done to her?

"Where are you going?" asked Videl, before taking a bite of her French toasts.

"South, to the coast. Can never get enough of the beach, right?"

Gohan blinked. An actual genuine smile… As he analyzed Nevy's ki while she looked at Videl, he frowned in deep thoughts. So, Nevy actually liked Videl a lot. Which wasn't surprising, of course, seeing as Videl was awesome. He focused more on her aura, chasing away the feeling of guilt telling him to stop invading her privacy.

But this was important. There was something off about this girl, and Gohan had to know what.

He dropped his silverware, the fork and knife clinking on his plate as they landed on the ceramic. His lips were parted, his eyes were wide open. Videl and his friends turned to him in confusion, while Nevy almost sneered at him before catching herself.

"Something wrong, Gohan?" the double-faced blonde asked in a convincing worried tone, her fake smile ever so glued to her face.

I should've known… he thought in disbelief, staring at Nevy with shocked eyes. It all makes sense now.

He had recognized something peculiar in her ki. Something that only a highly trained martial art expert such as himself could make out. Something similar to what Videl's ki felt like whenever she looked at him, or how Krillin and 18's felt when they caught each other's eye, or even, how Vegeta's aura softened in the presence of his family.

Nevy… liked Videl. Liked liked her. Nevy didn't just hate him – she was jealous of him, which explained why he inspired her such aversion. She wanted Videl for herself, and wished he could be out of the picture.

It all made sense now.

"I'm… okay. I just… Nevermind. I remembered something. It doesn't matter."

He gave Videl what he hoped was a reassuring smile, but she still looked doubtful, which was understandable after his lame response.

"Don't worry about it," he added with more confidence, stroking her cheek as he looked deep into her eyes. "Everything's okay."

He kissed her cheek. Or at least, it will be. I'm not letting her get between us.

Little did Gohan know… that will prove to be harder than he could've ever imagined.

Envy could make people do ugly things.

Did you think Gohan and Videl were going to do it? Ha! Fooled you! xD

And what's this? Gohan figured Nevy out? I wonder what will happen next… Kidding, I know what happens, and you guys are just gonna have to wait and see.
