Barbie's POV

I sighed.

I've been looking through anything about Kathy Diana Roberts...

The only thing I found out that she lived in an old place outside the town, locking herself away from the world.

I huffed as I got up from the computer.

I went to the kitchen to grab some orange juice.

"Hey, how did your investigation go?" Cassandra asked while eating some burger.

I shrugged. "I found her address."

Then she went to the room and looked at the GPS that was on the computer.

"She lives nearby. Let's go!" she declared.

I looked at her confused. "Right now?"

She nodded.

"Yes, right now! Unless you want to deal with serial killers," she replied sternly.

I sighed.

She had a point.

I got up.

Even though I was kinda tired... I had no choice.

"Okay, let's go," I replied.

After I got changed I grabbed my backpack and put my stuff in it.

Suddenly one paper fell on the ground.

I picked it up and it was one of the drawings my grandfather drew.

It was of a personal servant I guess.

Cassandra entered the room.

"That's Tom Buddler. Queen's personal servant. He was also in charge of keeping the Queen's jeweleries safe, especially the Jewel of Roberts," she explained.

I looked at her surprised.

"But what does this have to do with the singularity?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Guess we're gonna find out when we ask Aunt Kathy about it."

After that we got into the car.

Why does grandpa want me to find the singularity? Can I really do it? What if I cannot make it out alive?

I sighed.

Dunbar was already after me...

And now cherry on the top, I had to deal with more people like this.

Right then Cassandra got in the car.

"Hey, you okay?" she asked worriedly.

"I don't know, Cass. I don't know.

Sometimes, all of this seems hopeless," I replied.

She put her hand on my shoulder.

"Listen, it's okay to be afraid. I know how you feel. You have been dealing with Sligo for about a week. Try eighteen years with him, like how I did.

But you're Barbie Roberts. You are one of the strongest people I've ever seen," she said.

I smiled weakly. "But... what if I mess up?"

She smiled at me.

"Tell you what... I want to tell you a secret. Agent Klondike has been watching you for a very long time. He was the one who suggested you three to Miss. Z," she stated.

I looked up at her shocked.

"You see, Agent Klondike has suspected Dunbar for a long time. He always knew something was fishy about Dunbar. And they had a very rough relationship. Agent Klondike realized that the key to expose him was...you," she said.

My eyes went wide in shock.

"Remember the first day we met? You asked how Dunbar knows me.

Well, me and Agent Klondike were investigating him for a long time. He knew that we knew about him," she continued.

I was stunned.

I was just a very young teenager.

How was I a recommended option to be a good spy?

"And trust me when I am saying it. You really are exceptional. You just have to believe it," she said as she smiled at me warmly.

I pulled her in a hug.

"Thanks, Cassandra," I mumbled.

"Okay, let's go solve this mystery," she declared.

I nodded in agreement as she started the car and began to drive.

I exhaled deeply as I looked at the hills on the other side of the road.

I plugged in some music.

After some minutes, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked up at Cassandra.

"We're here," she announced as she pointed to a huge gate right in front of us.

I got off the car.

We both walked towards the gate.

I knocked.

Right then a woman came towards the gate.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"Madam, does Kathy Diana Roberts live here?" I asked.

She narrowed her eyes at us.

"Yes, but who are you?" she asked.

"My name is Barbie Roberts. And this is Cassandra Roberts," I replied.

"Roberts? As in William's granddaughters?" she asked.

We both nodded.

She opened the gate for us.

"Come in," she said.

We both came inside.

I looked around the place shocked.

There was a huge garden and a huge building that looked like a church or something.

"Can we visit, Aunt Kathy?" Cassandra asked.

The woman led us inside a room.

"Kathy hasn't spoken in years. I want you to respect her privacy and don't push her too far," she said sternly.

We both nodded.

Then the woman went to the room.

After a couple of minutes she came out.

"You can go inside," she said.

I glanced at Cassandra.

Then we both went in.

In the room I saw an old woman reading Bible.

I took a deep breath as I came to her.

She looked up at us.

"Hey Aunt Kathy. I am Barbie, George's daughter, William's granddaughter,"

She didn't say anything but she smiled warmly as she took my hand.

"I have bad news. Grandpa died long ago," I said in a whisper.

She looked down as a single tear fell from her face as she squeezed my hand in comfort.

I smiled at her.

She smiled at both of us.

"Aunt Kathy, grandpa, wanted me to do something for him. It was his last wish. But we need your help," Cassandra said warmly.

She nodded.

"Please, we must know about the Roberts legacy," I said.

She gasped in shock and turned away from us.

"Aunt Kathy please, it's his last wish," I pleaded.

She shook her head.

I sighed in defeat as I glanced at Cassandra.

"Let's give her some space," she whispered to me and I nodded.

We both left.

"Did she help you?" the woman asked.

"Madam, can you please give us any old stuff that can help? This is an old family mystery. Our grandfather died trying to solve it. I just want to finish off what he started," I explained.

She sighed as she nodded.

We followed her to another room and then she gave us a suitcase.

"Thank you," Cassandra smiled.

She nodded and with that she left.

We both began to look through the pictures and stuff.

Right then a paper fell out.

I quickly picked it up.

It was a will, Chris Roberts will to be exact right.

"To the new generation.

It is now clear that the two last lines of the riddle tells the exact location," I read out loud.

The rest of the will was unclear because for God's sake, it was a crumbled piece of paper that was about to fall apart any second.

I looked at Cassandra in shock.

"What riddle? The location of what?" I asked thoughtfully.

"Only one person has answers," she said.

We quickly got up.

I put that will in my backpack and we rushed towards the place Aunt Kathy was in.

We quickly rushed inside.

Aunt Kathy was shocked but didn't say anything.

"Aunt Kathy please, we need a riddle but we don't what it is," Cassandra began.

Right then she stood up.

"Please girls, reconsider!" Aunt Kathy exclaimed.

I gasped.

I thought she hadn't spoken in years.

She sat down as she grabbed my arm.

I sat down beside her.

She put her hand on my shoulder.

"My dear girls, your great uncle, James David Roberts, your great grandfather, your grandfather, Samuel, Clive and now you, Barbara," she began.

Cassandra looked at her confused.

"As I know James David Roberts died because of pneumonia. Our great grandfather was also killed in a war," Cassandra said.

She nodded.

"Whoever seeks the Roberts singularity...will end up... In a coffin!" she cried.

I gasped as I looked Cassandra in shock.

"Please, Barbie here is the wielder of the legacy," Cassandra said.

"But the curse can still kill you!" she replied.

Oh God!

Whatever... I had to take the risk.

"Please, tell us what you know," I pleaded, "if I don't find it, there are people who will kill me!"

She sighed.

"To solve the mystery...you need the Jewel of Roberts or known as jewel of riddles. And eight lines of riddle. It's a double key code," she began to explain.

"Anything else that can help?" I asked desperately.

"Two little lands

In the cold night frost

One was sake

The other was bold," Aunt Kathy said.

I looked at her confused.

"What do you mea-," I was interrupted with a sound of gunshot.

Holy shit!

"Thank you for your help. But we gotta go," I exclaimed.

We both rushed out.

Then Cassandra froze as she looked outside the window.

"Shit! I gotta hide. That's Bruce. He works for my guardian. He shouldn't see me!" Cassandra exclaimed.

"Okay, he's after me. You stay here," I said as I rushed out.

Right then I saw two men.

"There she is! Get her," Bruce yelled.

The other man ran after me.

I did the only thing I could do.

I ran as fast as I could.

Without having another choice I ran to the rooftop.

The next thing I knew was that man pulled out his sword and attacked me.

I tried my best to dodge his attacks.

"Stop struggling, Roberts! My boss only wants to speak to you," he sneered.

I didn't notice that I was near the edge.

He tried to attack me one more time and suddenly my feet slipped.

I cried in surprise.

I quickly grasped a rope that was hanging there.

I looked down under my feet.

If I fell, I would die right on the spot.

Then those two men of Sligo ran off because right then I heard the sound of police siren.

I tried to get up to safety when I heard a sound of cracking from the rope I was holding.

Oh. No!

A/N: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha

Such a sweet cliffhanger.
