Alucard put his plan to get permission to take out Moste Potente Potions two days later when he has Transfiguration. They were supposed to transform a wood block into multiple metal rods. Alucard had completed the transfiguration on his first attempt, earning himself three points, before going around the class to help those struggling the most.

When everyone had completed the task McGonagall had them experiment with reversing the change, and then changing the metal or shape of the rods. Alucard was able to do so easily, only struggling with turning it into silver rods that had a spiral vine pattern running down the lengths.

McGonagall looked pleased with the progress everyone had made and assigned them a twelve inch essay on the theory of turning wood to metal and the inverse to be completed by the next Wednesday.

Alucard stayed back while everyone else files out of the class and approaches McGonagall's desk. She looks up at him when he arrives and gives him her full attention.

"Mr Juvatich, how may I help you?" McGonagall asks neutrally. Alucard hands her the permission slip for the book, which she studies carefully. "Why do you want to take out this book? And why did you not ask Professor Snape, as this is a Potions book?"

"I want to see how different and rarer potion ingredients react when put into a potion. Professor Snape hasn't allowed me to take out any books from the Restricted Section since I started at Hogwarts, and I believed you would probably be a good judge on whether I should actually be allowed to read this book." Alucard explains, looking McGonagall in the eyes as she studies him. She eventually nods before dipping her quill into an inkpot and signing it quickly.

"Just don't brew anything in that book. If anything went wrong it would go horribly wrong, do you understand?" McGonagall asks before she hands back the permission form. Alucard nods sharply and she sighs before handing it over. "You should get going to your next class."

"Yes, Professor." Alucard agrees, putting the paper in his bag before blurring away to his next class.

He met up with Ron, Hermione and Harry at lunch time in front of the Library. Alucard showed them the permission form and they quietly enter the Library. They head straight for Madam Pince, a thin irritable woman. Alucard hands her the permission slip and she looks at it suspiciously.

"Moste Potente Potions?" She says, looking at the four in front of her suspiciously. She holds the note up to a light, trying to spot a forgery. Alucard was tempted to point out that if he used magic, it wouldn't be revealed by holding it up to a light.

It passed the test as she stalks away silently and returns carrying a large and slightly mouldy-looking book. She hands it to Alucard, who puts it carefully in his bag before leaving the Library at a leisurely pace.

Five minutes later, they were in Moaning Myrtle's out-of-order bathroom. Hermione had silenced Ron's arguments about their location by pointing out that the bathroom was the last place anyone would look for them. Myrtle was crying loudly in a cubicle, but the two groups were ignoring each other.

Alucard opened Moste Potente Potions and skimmed through the pages. It immediately became clear to Alucard why the book was in the Restricted Section. He saw some of the worst effects and the illustrations of potions he has ever come across. Hermione came over to try and get a peak at the book, but Alucard shifts it so she couldn't see.

"Sorry, but you three shouldn't see what's in here." Alucard tells her when she glares at him. She huffs but backs off as Alucard arrives at the pages on the Polyjuice Potion. It was littered with drawings of people halfway through transformations that had expressions of extreme pain on their faces. "This is really complicated." He murmurs as he runs his finger down the list of ingredients.

"What's so complicated about it?" Hermione asks, subtly trying to peer at the book. Alucard closes it with a soft flump and turns to face her.

"Well, most of the stuff we need to brew it is found in the student's store-cupboard, but there are a few things I'll have to order by owl, like powdered horn of a Bicorn, or shredded skin of a Boomslang." Alucard explains, putting the book back into his bag. "But once I've got everything it'll take about a month to brew it."

"A month?" Ron asks incredulously. "Malfoy could have attacked half the Muggle-borns in the school by then!"

"It's not like I want that to happen." Alucard says coldly, glaring at Ron.

"But it's the best plan we've got, so full speed ahead, I'd say." Ron quickly backtracks. Alucard huffs and heads to the door to listen for anyone outside, catching Ron mutter to Harry.

"It'd be quicker to just knock Malfoy off his broom tomorrow."

The next day the Gryffindor Quidditch team was out of their beds and in the Great Hall before anyone else, all of them contemplating the upcoming match. They had all huddled together at one end of the Gryffindor table, eating under the watchful eye of Alucard, who had taken it upon himself to make sure everyone actually ate something. They ate egged on by the threat of Alucard force feeding them if they didn't do so willingly.

Fred tried to bluff the threat, only to have Alucard in his face holding a chicken leg to his mouth. The rest of the school dribbled in as time drew on and as it approached eleven o'clock everyone headed out to the Quidditch pitch. Ron and Hermione quickly wished Harry and Alucard good luck before rushing to try and get good seats.

The team pulled on their scarlet robes before sitting down to listen to Oliver's traditional pre-match pep talk. Oliver looked over the team seriously before beginning.

"Slytherin have better brooms than us, with two exceptions." He begins. "There is no denying that fact, but we have the better people flying today. We've trained harder than they have, we've been perfecting our moves in all types of weather, and they are going to rue the day they let Malfoy buy his way onto their team!" Oliver says passionately, chest heaving he turns to Harry and Alucard. "Harry, it'll be down to you to show them that a Seeker has to have more than just money. Get to the Snitch, no matter what."

"Then Alucard." Oliver says, staring straight into Alucard's eyes. "Fly like hell." Alucard grins back as his eyes flash crimson. "Score as much as you can."

"No pressure you two, eh?" Fred winks, bumping into Harry's shoulder. They all stand up in unison and head for the pitch.

They walk out to cheers from three quarters of the school, having Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw joining the Gryffindors in hoping for Slytherin's defeat. The Slytherin's still made sure their boos and hisses were heard above the din. Madam Hooch made Oliver and Flint shake hands, which they did with exchanged glares and a stronger grip than necessary.

"On my whistle!" Madam Hooch yells, making sure everyone heard her as she lifts the Quaffle, having already released the Snitch and Bludgers. "Three... two... one!" And with the whistle a roar from the crowd signaled the fast rise of the fourteen players into the grey sky. Alucard blasts in front of everyone and snatches the Quaffle in no time and streaks down the pitch towards the Slytherin goals.

He arrives and scores before the Slytherin team could react, scoring Gryffindor's first ten points in record time. Flint takes the Quaffle and barrels down the pitch towards Oliver, planning on returning the favour, when Angelina and Alicia charge him, forcing him to spin out of the way and giving Alucard time to catch up. Alucard knocks the ball out of his hands, steals it and blasts down the pitch again, flanked by the other two Chasers.

The three Slytherin Chasers speed ahead, using the fact that Alucard was only flying at the other Chasers speeds to try and intercept them. But as they turn around Alucard applies a burst of speed and shoots through the gap in their defence and sinks another goal past the Keeper.

"And the score is twenty to zero in favour of Gryffindor! Juvatich is flying around the pitch like a bat out of hell! Not even a minute into the match and he's scored twice, basically by himself!" Lee comments, getting cheers from most of the school. "But that doesn't undermine the skill of the other Gryffindor Chasers, who helped set up a perfect Quaffle steal!" It had started to rain, making it slightly more difficult for everyone, but Alucard to play.

Flint takes the Quaffle again, this time passing quickly over short distances between the two other Chasers on his team. Alucard glances up to spot Fred and George protecting Harry from a Bludger that seemed to be glued to him. Alucard signaled for Alicia and Angelina to charge the Slytherin Chasers, but as they start their flight at their targets a Bludger from a Slytherin Beater rockets across the field at Alucard.

Alucard pulls his broom handle back to drag to a sudden stop as the Bludger whizzes past in front of him. Alucard grunts as the Slytherins blast past him and score before he could catch up. Alucard grunts in annoyance as Angelina fetches the Quaffle and speeds up the pitch. The Bludger not targeting Harry rockets at her. Speaking of Harry, he was spinning away from a Bludger and heading in Angelina's direction.

Alucard speeds in front of her and grabs the Bludger from mid-air, and throws it into the Bludger that tried to attack Harry again. Both of them crash into each other with a clang and both Bludgers start falling to the ground. Harry nods in thanks to Alucard before speeding away from the area to hunt for the Snitch. Angelina passes the Quaffle to him then rushes to block the Slytherin Chasers path.

"Is that legal? I've never seen anything like that!" Lee yells, the Slytherins watching were making their displeasure at Alucard's move heard. "It seems the Ref is allowing it!" Groans were heard about that call from the people in green.

The Bludgers take flight again before they hit the ground and start flying around, seemingly back to normal. Alucard with the Quaffle drops to barely above the grass and darts forward, using the gap in the Slytherin's defences to get as close to the goals as he could. Both of the Slytherin Beaters whack the Bludgers in his direction, but only one of them stays on path.

The second one turns mid-air and chases after Harry again. Fred and George quickly move to circle Harry protectively, hitting the rogue Bludger away whenever it tried to attack Harry. Alucard spins around the other Bludger and flies straight towards Flint, who had circled around to charge down Alucard.

The two blast towards each other, daring the other to turn first. They were ten metres apart when they both turn, Flint by pulling up and to the side, and Alucard by lifting himself up so he had one foot on top of his broom, near the tail, and the other hooked underneath it further up, he also grabs the very front of his broom with his free hand and pulls. He pulls and pushes his broom simultaneously to change it's direction in no time and blasts away from Flint, and the approaching Bludger at full speed.

"And Juvatich pulls off a mastered Crazy Ivan!" Lee yells enthusiastically. "Flint barrels off to the side while Juvatich blasts away in complete control! He's approaching the Slytherin goals now! Will he make it thirty to ten in Gryffindor's favour?"

Alucard spins around Bletchley and throws the Quaffle through the hoop with ease, spinning back around to prepare for Slytherin's retaliation when Madam Hooch blows the whistle and Harry dives for the ground, followed by Fred, George and the mad Bludger. Alucard blasts forward and grabs the Bludger just before it takes another shot at Harry, through Fred and George.

Alucard lands with the rest of the Gryffindors after strapping down the Bludgers in the chest. They were huddled together and discussing what to do about the Bludger that was stuck to Harry.

"What's happening?" Oliver asks them. "We should be more points ahead than we are, looking at how they're playing. Where are you, Fred? George? The Slytherin's would be controlling the match without Alucard!"

"We've been trying to stop one of the Bludgers killing Harry for the whole match." Fred huffs angrily. "Someone's fixed it on him."

"It hasn't gone for anyone else for the whole game." George says. "The Slytherin's must have done something to it."

"The Bludgers were locked in Madam Hooch's office since we last practiced." Oliver says anxiously. "Was it really only after Harry?" Wood turns to Alucard.

"Yeah, that's why I threw that other one at it. I thought it might help." Alucard says, shrugging. Madam Hooch was heading towards them.

"It helped for a bit." Harry says, ignoring the Slytherin's, who were jeering and pointing at him. "Listen, with the two of you flying around me, I'll never catch the Snitch. Help the rest of the team, I'll deal with the rogue Bludger."

"Don't be thick!" Fred says quickly, looking at Harry in shock. "It'll take your head off!"

"Oliver, this is mad!" Alicia says, noticing Oliver looking between Harry and the Weasleys. "No-one but Alucard can deal with that thing on their own! Let's get an inquiry-"

"If we stop now, we forfeit the match." Harry interrupts. "And I don't want to lose to Slytherin just because of a mad Bludger. Come on, Oliver, tell them to leave me be."

"I'll help Harry." Alucard says, getting everyone to look at him. "I can act as a safety net for Harry when the Bludger gets too dangerous for him to deal with. I'll play as a Chaser until that point is reached." Alucard turns to face Harry. "Staying in the air long enough for me to help is your job. And catching the Snitch." Harry nods with a smile.

"Ready to resume play?" Madam Hooch asks when she joins them. Oliver looks at the determined looks on Harry and Alucard's faces and nods resolutely.

"Alright." Oliver says. "Fred, George, you heard them. Alucard, help Harry as soon as he, or you, see that he needs help."

The rain had picked up now, which lead to Alucard casting an Impervius on Harry's glasses to help him see. At the sound of Madam Hooch's whistle, the two teams kicked off into the rain. Alucard kept half of his focus on Harry and the Bludger that was once again locked on him, while still playing his role as the main scorer for the Gryffindor team, Angelina and Alicia helping more heavily and scoring more now.

Alucard notices the crowds laughing at Harry's more and more erratic dodges and bursts of speed and fast turns, but that was what he had to do to outmaneuver the heavy and unagile Bludger. Alucard snatched the Quaffle from Pucey and fake passed to Alicia, before passing to Angelina, who scores passed Bletchley.

Alucard was helping Angelina throw Flint's attention away from Alicia, so she could steal the Quaffle from him, when he spotted Harry sitting mid-air, staring at the Snitch above Malfoy's ear, while the Bludger barreled at him. Alucard split away from them and blasts at Harry, standing up on his broom to increase his reach in hopes of getting to the Bludger before it hits Harry.

"Harry, move!" Alucard yells. Harry snaps out of his stare and spins on his broom, nearly avoiding the Bludger. The Bludger slams into his leg, creating a loud shattering sound that only Alucard and Harry heard, as he gets sideways. Harry yells out in pain, holding on tightly to his broom as Alucard arrives next to him. Alucard crouches down on his broom and looks at Harry's leg, right before Harry launches at Malfoy, his leg hanging uselessly off to the side.

Malfoy's eyes widen in fear as Harry charges him, then barrel rolls out of the way. Harry reaches out his hand as the Bludger returns to try another attack. Alucard grabs it before it reaches Harry and launches it at the ground.

It hits the ground as Harry's hand closes around the Snitch. Alucard then turns to see Harry slip off his broom and fall to the ground. Alucard whips his wand out and aims it at Harry.

"Arresto Momentum!" Alucard yells as a pulse of magic shoots out of the wand tip and into Harry, slowing his fall. Harry hits the ground with a soft, wet splat as his broom slowly floats down. Alucard jumps off his one and slams into the ground next to Harry before leaning over him to check him over.

"We won." Harry says happily. Alucard nods with a smile as the sound of cheers and whistling reaches them. Alucard straightens Harry's leg carefully and transfigures his pants leg into a splint to keep Harry's leg stable.

"Okay, time to get you to the Hospital Wing." Alucard says, patting Harry's shoulder lightly before shifting to Harry's right, were the broken leg was, and lifting Harry's arm up and around his shoulder. Alucard picks Harry up with ease before they start moving, Harry holding his leg up so he doesn't use it. Then Lockhart appears in front of them, his smile sickeningly wide and sparkly.

"Oh no, not you." Harry groans loudly.

"Ah, doesn't know what he's saying!" Lockhart says loudly to the crowd around them, annoying Alucard quickly. "Don't worry, Harry. I can fix your arm right up!"

"No!" I'll get Madam Pomfrey to sort it out." Harry says quickly, anxious to get away from Lockhart.

"It's okay." Lockhart declares. "Just put him down and we'll be done in a sec. It's a simple charm, I've used it countless times!"

"He said no." Alucard growls at Lockhart. "We're going to the Hospital Wing."

"He really should, Professor." A muddy Oliver tries to reason, even when he couldn't keep a smile off his face when Harry was injured. "Great catch, Harry. Your best yet, I'd say."

"Stand back." Lockhart says, rolling up his jade sleeves. Alucard subtly points his wand between Harry and himself, and Lockhart.

"No- don't-" Harry says weakly, finally feeling the pain from his leg as his adrenaline wears off.

"Protego." Alucard whispers as Lockhart twirls his wand and points it at Harry's broken leg. Alucard's shield spell appears in time to block Lockhart's spell, whatever it was, making it rebound into Lockhart's other arm. Everyone watches in shock as Lockhart's whole arm seems to quickly deflate. Lockhart himself looks at it as he tries to move it, only to get no response.

"Oh, um, this can happen sometimes..." Lockhart says, looking faint when he bends his now rubbery arm backwards. "I think Harry and I both need the Hospital Wing, if everyone would make space for us!" Lockhart says, turning around and walking through the quickly formed gap. Alucard and Harry were about to follow when the rogue Bludger makes a final mad attack on Harry, blasting over the crowds heads and aiming to smash through Alucard to get at Harry.

Alucard catches it with his free hand, glaring at the ball with red eyes when it tries to fight out of his grip for another few seconds before stilling. Fred and George rush forward to take it out of his hand so he can get Harry to Madam Pomfrey.

Alucard assists Harry to the castle slowly, giving Ron and Hermione time to catch up with them. No-one says anything when Alucard gets Harry to climb on his back piggyback style, making it so Harry don't agitate his leg with all of his hobbling.

"Is this how you always walk?" Harry had to ask, surprise by how Alucard seemed to just glide over the ground instead of walk.

"Yeah, perks of being a vampire. All movements are as graceful as our bodies are able to make them." Alucard says proudly. "Unless we're on a broom or in our other form, then it's more... feral is a good word."

"Huh, that's cool." Harry says, sagging further into Alucard's back.

"Do you think Madam Pomfrey can heal bones?" Hermione asks worriedly.

"'Course she can." Alucard responds easily. "She'll also be able to fix Lockhart's arm with a bottle of Skele-Gro. I hear it's nasty, good, he deserves it."

"Alucard!" Hermione squeaks. Alucard just looks at her then at Ron.

"If I didn't put up a shield between Lockhart and us, the one with no bones in their limb, would be Harry." Alucard says grumpily. "How would you defend him then?"

"Anyone can make a mistake." Hermione responds quickly. "And I doubt having no bones would hurt."

"That doesn't omit the fact that he could have removed Harry's bones!" Alucard hisses. They had arrived at the Hospital Wing so they filed in and Madam Pomfrey bustled over from one of the beds, where they could just make out Lockhart's whimpers.

"Yes?" She asks, right before spotting Harry's leg in the splint. "Okay, lay him down on one of the beds, I'll be able to fix that in a jiffy." Alucard follows her instructions and places Harry on the bed closest to the entrance. She waves her wand over the leg a few times before nodding. "Very clever to put it into a splint."

She points her wand at the leg and a flash of light and grunt of pain from Harry later, she vanished the splint and inspected the leg again. She nodded to herself and gestured for Harry to try out the leg. Harry swings his legs over the bed and stands up, his face twitching slight when putting pressure on his formerly broken leg.

"It will be about a day before it stops hurting or itching." Madam Pomfrey tells him, handing him a small potion vial. "That will numb the pain slightly, but not completely, so it should help."

"Thank you." Harry says before all four of them leave her with Lockhart.
