Lori wanted to explain, but she knew nothing she said would justify anything she had said to her little brother.
"I-I didn't mean any of it." Said Lori nervously.
"Oh really, well it sure sounded like you did." Replied Luna.
Leni walked up to her. "Was all of this just because of some jealousy? That we weren't agreeing with you on anything? What is wrong with you?! We all wanted to help Lincoln get Abby's life back and now because of you, our precious little brother is being threatened to death! You were supposed to keep an eye on him and you told him to stay away from us??! What were you thinking?!?" Cried Leni. Lori said nothing. She just looked down at her feet.
"I'll tell you what she was thinking." Said Abby. "Nothing. Because she never thinks at all!" She turned to Lori. "So apparently Lincoln wanting to help people is a completely stupid and unnecessary reason to be out here?" She asked, her voice filled with offense. Lori looked away. She was too ashamed to even look at anyone. "Just to be clear, Lincoln offered to come and help. I didn't force any of you here. I was concerned about Lincoln and you all coming and I promised to keep you safe from the bad guys, but I guess I didn't realize one of his own family would be one of them."
Lynn then spoke up. "You know what you are Lori? A bossy, demanding control freak! Everything has to go your way for you. And if you think it isn't, you throw a tantrum like a spoiled brat! The world doesn't revolve around you and that precious phone you practically love more than your own family! If there's one thing Lincoln's taught me after the good luck fiasco, it's that you accept life doesn't always go your way and you deal with it like an adult. I promised to remember that and never let something like that happen again, but looks like you didn't get the message you walking fart dispenser!" And Lynn then kicked Lori hard in the shin!
Lori was just about to grab Lynn, when Leni got between them.
"Break it up! We gotta focus on finding Linky!" Cried Leni. "But if Diane finds out, she'll kill Lincoln!" Said Luan worried. "She's not going to stop us. Lincoln didn't back down, and neither will we!" Declared Leni. "But how are we going to find him? He could three states over." Said Lana. "I believe I can be assistance." Replied Lisa. She pulled a gray controller out of her back pocket and extended the antenna on top. "I can pinpoint our dear male sibling's location with the tracking chip I installed on him a few months ago." "I knew it!!" Cried Lucy. "Not the time spooky." Said Luna. "Will that work out here??" "Of course. The chip is powered by body movement and pulse. And the controller simply runs on Double A batteries."
Lisa switched on the controller and on the screen, and a little red dot appeared a little ways from a group of other red dots. "There he is!" Said Abby. "The tracker is still active, that means he's alive." Assured Lisa. Dot became frantic and started nudging everyone to get moving. "You heard the doe! Let's move!" Cried Lisa. As they started to follow Lisa, Abby talked to Lori again. "City's that way. Hope it was worth it." And she ran to catch up to the others.
Lori looked behind her and shook her head. There was no way she was going to abandon Lincoln a second time. Not when he needed her. And she needed him. At full speed, she ran through the forest to catch up with her Abby, Dot, and her sisters.
