Tree Hill Hospital
"I think it will do neither of us any good. To allow ourselves to think anything but hopeful. Positive thoughts. Doctors are wrong all the time. People beat the odds every day. She's fought all her life and now this is just another chance for her to show everyone that regardless of the obstacles she will beat it. I'm going to head home." "Get you a change of clothes. I'm going to stay at home with the boys. They aren't used to us not being at home with them. But if you need me i can stay. What do you think Brooke.?" Lucas asked.
Brooke shifted her gaze from Sam to Lucas.
"Of course i want you here. I need you here. You are only reason i'm not completly falling our sons need you more. I'll manage. I will keep you posted if anything changes." Brooke replied.
"You do that. I'll leave my phone on all night. In case you have anything that can't wait. And needs to be talked about right then." Lucas said.
Brooke nodded her head in agreement. As she walked with him out of the hospital room and into the hallway.
"She's going to be fine. Our girl is will get through this."
"We'll end up taking her out of here. You'll see." Lucas said. Wanting to reassure her.
Lucas hugged her tightly.
"Thank you for being here for me. For us." Brooke said.
"There is no other place in the world i should be." Lucas said.
When she kissed him. It was unexpected and gentle.
She hadn't thought it over. She simply just did it.
Feeling his lips reclaim hers as he kissed her back.
She felt it. The connection between them that had been brewing underneath the surface come alive.
The two soon pulled apart hearing the loud muffled screams of Sam.
Brooke and Lucas rushed to Sam's side attempting to calm her. A doctor was soon alerted and the breathing tube was removed. After drinking a full cup of water.
Sam was desperate to speak. Looking from Brooke to Lucas.
"We're right we aren't going anywhere." Lucas said.
"You've been through so much. The doctors want you to rest and recover. There is nothing you need to say to us that we don't already know." Brooke reassured her.
"I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I ended up here. I put everyone in danger again. I'm not doing it anymore. Once i get out here. I'm living Tree Hill and i'm not coming back. I love you the both of you so much. But i realize now. What's best for everyone is for me to figure out my life on my own. I need to cut off contact with the both of you and everyone else in town that i love. It's the only way. To make sure none of you become a target." Sam announced.
"No there is giving Xzavier exactly what he wants." Brooke replied.
"You're running Sam. Aren't you tired of that.? Don't want a real home and to be with you're family.?" Lucas asked.
"Yes more then anything. That's all i ever wanted. But it's not going to happen." Sam replied.
