Guest: Eh…. Did you see the Author's Notes and in Story dialog that more or less confirms that the Luigi fought in the last Chapter was a Fake? (An example of the later is Mario admitting his disappointment that the Luigi he, Yoshi and Meggy fought was a fake despite being prepared to believe such a possibility is in the air or heck, He's the Light Being shown back in Chapter 22 and even shapeshifted into Luigi as well in that Chapter)

Likewise as mentioned before, Luigi is still a DARK REALM Rescue like in Canon, Meaning it'll be a while before the two brothers get reunited….. (BUT! If you want a Story where Luigi get's freed in the Light Realm, Well there's always Krosshair's Story for those whom wanted the guy rescued early at least...)

Generic Smash Bros fan: Glad you liked the Duel with Mario, Meggy, Yoshi, Peach and the Fake Luigi! ;)

Yup, Skylander references due to the Events of Superchargers (Bowser and DK being Guest Fighters in that story) were planned for this story, And Yes I do plan to bring more references in like Spitfire, Stormblade, Stealth Elf, Gill Grunt and everyone's favourite enchilada loving Mabu pilot and Lover of "BOOM!" Flynn (Whom I'll spoil in advance that he's PF will be a Captain Falcon)….

But said references will have to wait till Bowser and DK rejoins the team however…. (But the Former's a couple of chapters away form being freed…..)

Well this Chapter WILL Be dealing with Fox soon enough so we'll be seeing him with Diddy soon….

Interesting Ideas for Spirits as well with The Fairy Queen (And yes, Dedede will be interacting with her when both of them get rescued) and Quote (Interesting, Maybe MegaMan would be interacting with her, Same with Isabelle in a way.

SuperSmasher123 (Both Chapter 23 and 24): Don't stressed about how these reviews are late buddy! We're can get busy at some point so it's understandable that these reviews can be late (But that's ok, so don't worry about it!)

I never really thought about the Magikoopa that much truth be told, (I needed an excuse for Yoshi to rush into the Trap meant for him and Mario and Magikoopa was the somewhat decent idea I had so there's that) but he's a light being taking the form of one (heck, the Minions in Molten Castle/Other Sub Areas are Light Beings taking the form of others but they're weaker compared to a Puppet Fighter/Possesed Fighter/Bowser/Dawn Breaker however…..) so Kamek will get a separate Spirit fight for himself however.

Well speaking of the Magikoopa, I'm surprised you didn't catch two references in Chapter 24 with what Fake Luigi called the former (It's related to the Super Mario World TV Show if you didn't know (The Hint is Wizardhimer) and Yes, It's also inspiration for why Yoshi sees Mario and Luigi as his Father Figures) and the Spirit battle shown in Chapter 24 was with Fryno form the Skylander Series (And before you ask, Yes Superchargers the Fifth Installment of that game featured Bowser, Donkey Kong and Diddy as guest characters for the Nintendo Editions of that game, And it's canon in this Series as well) I do planned for more Skylander Characters like Spitfire, Stormblade, Trigger Happy, Gill Grunt and Buzz for potential Examples.

As for Fake Luigi, Well He may be coming back but it's a TBD however….. (He's still alive though and Galeem can revive him down the line if needed)

Hey Guys MegaSalamence64, Welcome back to WoL-DX, Also Mario's Still ALIVE (Relax guys, Nintendo WILL Give something good for him soon….. He's still alive and well)

Before we began, I want to tell you that we'll be returning to my other Big Story DWoF Book 1 (My Manakete! Lucina Story for those curious)

Before we move on, Here are some reminders of the Deluxe-Verse and while they may contain Some Spoilers

-Sakura's Spirit is the ONLY one of the FE: Fates Royals to be rescued in WoL-DX (This is mostly to keep Guzma form interacting with Corrin's/Kamui's Siblings for his personal Sanity (And let's just say, He's going to be having an intense rivalry with Xander, Takumi and Camilla in Post WoL DX stories)

-Ryoma's PF is changed form Bowser to Golisopod (Due to the Latter's a Samurai Isopod) and as mentioned earlier, will be saved for Unsung Heroes

-Like Krosshair's Story, Extra Bosses like Rayquaza and DJ Octavio will be included, (I won't be spoiling any of the Extra Dark Realm Bosses however… But Steve the Piranha Plant WILL be getting his own boss fight as well, Whether it's Petey Piranha or not, I won't tell….. You'll have to wait for THAT one though)

On that Note, I would like to recommend Stories like Azurixx's Crossing Fates: Era of a New Smash Universe (They're also the Creator of the Mario and Sonic: Heroes United! Series as well) and RisingSonic17's World of Darkness and Despair (One of the Inspirations of the Deluxe-Verse AND for those whom wanted an All original WoL Story as well)

Chapter 25: Fighting a Friend Part 2:

Molten Fortress, Mario's Group Path:

"You think Mario, Yoshi and Meggy will be ok guys?" Said Lucas with a worried tone to Marth, Leaf and Chari as the Quart walked down the Hallways of the Molten Fortess with Eevee walking alongside the PSI User…. "I Know we faced much worse but it's still worrying about what happen to them…."

While it's easy to get irritated with this type of person, Leaf, Chari and Marth are aware of Lucas's background and how he lost his mother and older brother at a young age, so they know his nervousness is something that isn't as easy to get rid of compared to the other Fighters….

"Lucas, Relax, They'll be fine….." Said Leaf as she looked back at her Boyfriend's Surrogated Brother. "I may have only heard about the things the others went through but they'll be ok….."

"I can promised that at least…."

Lucas then felt a sense of relief from the Young Jhotonian girl as Dixie then decided to at least try to help out the blond haired boy at least.

"Hey Lucas, Like Leaf said, They'll be fine…." Said the Beret wearing Kong as she looked back at him. "I may not know Mario, Yoshi and Meggy as well as Diddy or DK….."

"But they survived worse then this… Don't lose hope right now…."

"….Thanks Leaf, Thanks Dixie…." Said Lucas as he wipped off some tears. "We can do this!"

"That's the Spirit Lucas!" Said Marth as he smiled back to the Brawl Vetrean with a smile. "Now Let's keep moving on…."

"I'm no psychic like you or Ness but I have the feeling Mario and the others are up here somewhere…. At that end over there." He continued as he pointed to the green Warp Pipe ahead of them.

"Let's head there to find something…. It could be related to that minor tremor we felt earlier as well….."

Before Lucas could answer back to the Hero King, He then felt something or someone Coming form the warp pipe*… and it's VERY Familiar as well….

Before He could mentioned anything however, Four Figures soon emerged form the Pipe much to the PSI user and his friends' Surprise.

"MARIO? YOSHI? MEGGY?... PEACH!?" Said Shiek in a rare tone of shock as she looked the figures whom emerged out of the warp pipe whom looked around the area.

"Mario…. Where do you think we are?" Said Peach as she looked back at her plumber boyfriend before noticing several figures some distance away, With a white cloaked ninja being the focus of her attention.

"Peach, Are you o-" Mario questioned as he, Yoshi and Meggy then noticed the Other Fighters ahead of them with Shiek in particular as Peach rushed towards the former.

"Shiek! I'm glad to see again!" Peach said back to the Diguised Zelda of the Hero of Time Era, Whom reacted with surprise at this course of actions.

"Well I'm glad to see you again Peach!" Said Shiek as she smiled back to her under her mask.

"Hey Peach are you ok as well?" Questioned Dixie as she rushed up to the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom with concern. "Do you need me to help you catch on what you miss?"

"That's fine Dixie, Mario, Yoshi and Meggy already helped me catch up to speed on what happened….." Peach answered back to the spider Monkey with a smile, the latter managing to suppressed her disappointment despite what she heard.

"Well with that out of the way, Mario what did you managed to find?" Questioned Marth as he looked back the Plumber whom poundered a bit before saying his piece:

"Well we fought a fake Luigi alongside Peach…. But it wasn't a Puppet Fighter though….." Said Mario as he quickly banished the disappoint (Which he admitted still hurted him despite being prepared for such a possibility) of what occurred with the fight to rescue Peach form Galeem's Control.

"A Fake Luigi?" Questioned Marth as he noticed Mario's sadden expression when he mentioned the imposter impersonating his brother, A small conflict brewing

"But we did found this Button though!" Interrupted Yoshi whom wanted to try to forget the disappointment of fighting the fake version of the other father figure in his life. "Meggy pressed it and then a warp pipe appeared as well!"

"And we more or less took and well, We're here…." Meggy finished off as she glanced back at Lucas (And avoiding eye contact with Marth as much as possible). "So what happened with you guys?"

"Well Save for fighting some spirits and looking for you three…. Nothing much happened Meggy…." Said Chari as she look back to the Orange Inkling as she held some spirit cores in her claws, Robonyan's and Baddinyan's floating beside she and her trainer. "We did felt some tremors earlier as well though….."

"Tremors?" Questioned Mario as Marth nodded back to him as well.

"We felt them despite how weak they are…. But I have the gut feeling it may be related to the entrance before we split up to cover more ground with Kirby , Pikachu and their group….."

Mario then looked back to the Hero King and then to his Girlfriend before giving a firm nod back to them.

"Well let's head back to the Place we're at previously…" The Plumber said back to his comrades. "Even if Pikachu and Kirby didn't find anything with their group, We should head back to see if anything has changed….."

"Agreed, If there wasn't anything there, we come back here and go through the Pipe once more." Said Sheik as the others gave a nod back to him. "We should check there if possible."

"Let's-a go!" Said Mario as the group of Fighters rushed towards the area they decided to split up, Hoping something different may be there as in order to get closer to the Castle's Deepest chambers,

They need any advantage they can get and find.

Molten Fortress, Pikachu's and Kirby's Group's Path:

"Well so far so good….." Said Pikachu as he lead the way with Kirby and Libre next to him. "No Spirits so far…. But no sigh of our fellow Fighters either…"

"That's the spirit Pikachu sweetie!" Said Libre as she looked back to her husband with a smile, Sparks even appearing on her checks as she speak.

"Poyo! (You go Pikachu!)" Said Kirby as he looked back to his fellow smash Veteran with a smile.

"Thanks guys…." Said Pikachu with a smile on his face to his Mate and fellow 64-era fighter.

"But we shouldn't get cocky right now just because we haven't faced anything MAJOR Yet guys….." He continued as Lucario gave a nod back to him as well.

"Agreed Pikachu….." Said the Aura Pokémon as he looked ahead of them for them, In particular the dead end ahead of them.

While the lack of an entrance or anything that could lead them to a clue is absent, the aura of someone is close to the Former Human…..

"I felt the aura of someone over there and while it may be a dead end for us…. We should head there to find that person and something that may help us….."

"So what are we waiting for? Question Diddy as he looked ahead of the path. "Let's go, go go!"

"We got our own friends to save! Especially if it's Fox, Banjo or even DK!" He shouted as Lucario shot a glare back to him.

"Look Diddy we get you're concern with finding your friends but we have to be careful!" Said Lucario as he glared back to the spider Monkey.

"But stay focus! We don't know what to expect form this place right now and the last thing we need is you to rush off like that!"

Diddy remained slient before Incineroar gave him a pat on the back, a smirk appearing on his face as he did.

"Relax Kid, We'll be fine, If it isn't one of your friends, we'll find them soon, I promised you that!" Said the Heel Pokémon with a smile on his face as he looked back at the Spider Monkey next to him.

"Thanks Incineroar….." Said Diddy as he smiled back to him as well. "Let's do this."

Incineroar felt a sense of achievement as he managed to help Diddy out a potential slump as a smile soon appeared on his face

But before he can do praise him however, Diddy's feet soon started to move unexpectedly as the Kong's expression shows that it wasn't his own actions.

"Hey guys….. I Think something's wrong….." Said Diddy as he tried to resist what happening as his feet was twitching more and more…..

….Before he suddenly rushed towards the Dead End,

"Oh no you don't!" Said Incineroar as he too rushed towards the Running Diddy with the intent of saving him, But not before grabbing his Dawn Breaker form Bandana Dee whom was surprised by this action.

"Let's go!" Said Pikachu as the others nodded back to him as they followed the duo whom are rushing towards the end.

"Hey Diddy! Try to stop or something!" Shouted the Heel Pokémon to the Spider Monkey whom was still running like Sonic.

"Sorry Incineroar but I don't know what happened!" Said Diddy as he francitcally tried to halt himself.

"Uhm… Try to throw a banana Peel or something!" Incineroar suggested as he looked back at the Kong with a worried look on his face. "It'll hurt a bit but a least you can stop!"

Diddy then poundered a bit as he then noticed he was getting closer to the wall, But he knew that he has a spare banana peel with him for emergency attacks,

As Diddy Drew his weapon with Incineroar came closer to him, A bright light enveloped the duo as Pikachu and the others could only witness them being sent to somewhere unknown.

"Not good….." Said Bandana Dee with fear coating his words as he and the others look back to the spit where Incineroar and Diddy once stood.

"Ok so do we rushed there or not?" Said Goggles as he readied his splattershot for battle.

But before any of them could answer back to him, three portal soon appeared which spawn out several figures form them:

The First Portal Summomed what appears to be Bowser Junior aided by ht\three of his Siblings (Ludwig, Roy and Iggy to be exact),

The Second portal spewed out a Metal version of Little Mac while the final one brought forth a copy of Olimar.

The Group of Fake Fighters glare back at their completion with anger brewing in their eyes, Ready to Destory them for their Empress' sake.

"Alright, Guess we have to wait for a while to save Diddy and Incineroar!" Said Lucario as he looked back at the others whom nodded back in agreement.

"Let's do this!" Libre answered back with confidence as she, her husband and the other fighters rushed towards their foes, The latter doing the same as well.

'Prefect…. Time to report to Master Bowser and get the other troops ready for war as well….' Sneered the MagiKoopa watching them behind the shadows as it looked back to it's boss' foes, Responsible for Diddy's sudden movement to the Dead End to teleport him to Fox's Chambers in the process.

Incineroar wasn't planned for this but the Plan to lure Diddy in would be more then enough…..

'Bridge one is already activated but Bridge two isn't… and any chance to prevent the Fighters to reaching our Empress is useful…..' He continued to himelf as he teleported to Bowser's Chambers.

'….For the sake of Empress Galeem's Ideal Prefection!'

Molten Fortress, Fox's Cambers:

"Ok that was SUPER Awkward…" Said Diddy as he and Incineroar looked back at each other, the former's feet fortunately still intact and free form the mysterious control over him.

"Tell me about it Diddy…." Incineroar answered back to the Kong as he got back up, "But what I'M curious about is that behavior of yours earlier….."

"Doesn't seem like you to rush off despite Fox, DK and Banjo being in trouble….. You at least can rationalize at least….." He continued as he was unaware of the sound of a Blaster being readied.

"I Mean there's that whole thing with happened with you, Fox, DK Bowser in that Subspace incident given the glares you three gave to him but I think you get the pict-"

"Incineroar watch out!" Shouted Diddy in shock as he shoved the Heel Pokémon out of the way.

The Heel Pokémon was about to questioned the Monkey when he then was then slammed to the ground, Just as a beam form the blaster was soon fired at them.

Both Diddy and Incineroar felt a sense of fear and worry as they looked back at the singed marked where the laser that was likely intended for either of them stood.

"Well, Well, Well… You chumps have the braincells to dodge attacks…" Sneered a very familiar voice to Diddy as he glanced in horror at whom it was. "Not bad... by ONLY A measly 00000000000.1%!"

"Fox!? Is that you?" He said back in horror as he looked back to the possessed leader of Star Fox whom laughed back at what he said.

"Sorry this' the Tooth Fairy talking….. Oh fine it's me alright…." 'Fox' Sneered back to him with a Emphatic tone in his voice as he glared back to him before drawing his blaster out once more.

"But you're still going to die however…" He continued as he pointed the gun at the two animals, Firing it in the process at his foes.

Diddy and Incineroar quickly dodged the lasers as the Latter gripped on his Dawn Breaker Orb while the Former ready his own Popguns as well.

"Ok, Buddy here's the deal," Said Incineroar as he looked back at the Corrupted Leader of Star Fox with some wariness in his eyes,

"You get out of our pal's body and we WON'T Shoot and knock you into the next Ultra Wormhole." The Heel Pokémon Continued to his foe with the hopes of stalling some time as Diddy drew his Popguns at the Possesed Fox. "Sounds fair even for you and Galeem?"

"Tch… I guess I'll surrender…" 'Fox' Answered back in a very devil may care tone as he then shed a smirk that lasted for a second…..

"NOT!"

He then rushed towards Incineroar and Diddy quickly knocking them down while spaming his shield barrier around him like it was running on infinite power.

"Oh no…OH NO!" Said Diddy as he looked in horror at Fox's New Moves much to Incineroar's Confusion.

"So Diddy, What's Wrong?" Questioned the Heel Pokémon as he looked back at his friend with some confusion.

"Fox's doing what he did in the Melee Tournament, The technique that he use to reach the top rank!" The Kong answered back as he looked towards the Frenzied Fox with a worried tone.

"It's something Fox's Embraased to do given how much the internet loves to meme it but it's strongest attack right now!"

"Strongest attack huh….." Said Incineroar as he glanced to his Dawn Breaker Orb in his claws as an idea sporuted form his mind.

"Well I got an idea….." Said Incineroar as he looked back at the "FIRE!" screaming Fox whom was currently bouncing like a kangaroo on Steroids.

"Well what do you got?" Questioned Diddy whom was getting more and more worried by the minute.

"Simple, Just distract Fox or something first!" Said Incineroar as Diddy begrudgingly gave a nod back to him.

'Hope this works….' Was the ONE thought on his mind as he did looked back at his friend with not so high hopes in his head.

Soon a plan(?) was formed with the two as Diddy drew out his popguns as he looked back at Fox, Currently blinded by the lack of a real target and locked into a state of outrage right now.

'Alright…. Here goes nothing!' Was Diddy's final thought in the matter as he fired some peanuts at the Rampaging Fox.

While they did NO Damage at all to his foe…. It was enough to get Fox's Attention.

"FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!" said the Possesed Leader of Star Fox like the Infamous Archer of Hoshido when he's angry as he rushed towards his foe.

But before he could do anymore moves, Incineroar soon clashed with him, His Red aura currently powering him up right now, Smashing the Barrier device in the Process as well

"Hey Buddy, I say it's time to take out the Trash!" Said the Heel Pokémon as he was unaware his voice was returning to the one that was present when he was under Galeem's Control.

The Feline and the Canine soon clashed with each other some more as Fox fired More Lasers at his foe while Incineroar countered with a Fire Pledge attack to block them.

"To bad…. So sad…." Said 'Fox' with some disappointment at what he was witness right now.

"Is this the power of Empress Galeem? Cause this isn't anything what she gave y-"

He was soon given a throat chop to the Neck by Incineroar as he was then lauched up in the air.

"Say goodbye buddy! Death Tornado!" Incineroar roared as he jumped up in the air and slammed his foe with a flying tornado attack, Quickly lauching Fox out of the area.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed like a little Girl as he was lauched far far away.

As soon as he was done, Incineroar's Aura faded away, his Orb returning to his claw as he did…. But not without some exhaustion present in his body and mind.

"Hey Incineroar! You ok dude?" Said Diddy as he rushed up to him in fear and worry.

"I…. *Wheeze* Ok dude…." Said Incineroar as he panted quite a bit while trying to stand up straight.

"Let's just *Cough* find Fox's Thorphy and get out of here….."

As soon as Incineroar uttered those words, Fox's Thophy soon fell down next to him and Diddy.

"Good ahead dude, he's your friend so you get to free him…. *Cough*" Said Incineroar as Diddy gave a quick nod to him.

He then rushed towards the Thorphy, Touching it's base freeing Fox form his peteried state in the process via a bright golden light.

"Urgh….. what happened…" Said Fox as he soon got his answer by Diddy giving him a hug.

"Fox! You're ok dude!" Said the Kong as he hugged him with relief.

"Hey Diddy relax, I'm ok….." Said the Commander of Star Fox as he then noticed he wasn't in his Airwing…. Nor the Cliffside of the World of Light.

"But where are we though…" he questioned back to him and Incineroar while taking note of the Latter's Exhausted state.

"Last I recall we're escaping Galeem's Lasers and I jumped into my Airwing with Wolf boarding his…. And I recall Krystal getting blasted….. but the rest is all a Blank state now….."

But before he could questioned it, Pikachu soon emerged with Libre, Kirby, Bandana Dee, Lucario, Goggles and Fenenkin, with Three Spirits following next to them, The Three Captive fighters defeated by them before they arrived.

"Fox you're alright!/ Poyo (You're safe!)" Pikachu and Kirby shouted in surprise at seeing their fellow 64 Veteran safe and sound.

"Yeah I'm ok Guys….." Fox answered back to them with some confusion in his tone.

"So can someone update me what's happening right now? And are those Spirits next to you?" He asked with a puzzled tone and shock at what he was seeing.

"And where's Falco and Krystal right now?"

"Well It's complicated…. But I'll explain it to you now…." Said Pikachu with a concern tone to the McCloud member standing in front of him right now.

"As best as we could and what we DO know about our situation right now..."

*Ok I know PSI and Aura are likely VERY Different but let's just say Lucas can at least sense Mario and the others coming form the Pipe.

Well, Looks like Giga Bowser's going to wait until Chapter 62 and 63 of Dragon Wings of Fate Book 1 but hey Fox's Back at least! ;)

(Sorry if it was a short-ish fight but I do want to showcase Incineroar and his Dawn Breaker attack as a reminder that the Former Dawn Breakers can use their Special Attacks as well! It's also a shout out to Fox being Top Tier in Melee as well with how the fight went.)

As for the Spirit fights shown, Well they're fought while Diddy and Incineroar were dealing with the Fakes, Hope you don't mind this turn of events where they're fought offscreen (I wanted to focus on Fox for now, but the NEXT Chapter will have some spirit fights for you)

I also apologized for the scene with Mario's Group but I do want to address them at least before focusing on Pikachu's and Kirby's Group at least.

Also here's a minor QnA regarding certain elements in the Deluxe-Verse:

Q1: Since the Dragalia Lost Crossover collabs (Princess Re: Connect, Mega Man, Monster Hunter, Persona 5 Strikers and the Two Fire Emblem Heroes Events) are canon in the Deluxe-Verse, What can we expect form them in another potential crossover:

A1: Well it depends on what it is and if it fits in my story before the WOL Incident, But for a potential Fire Emblem Heroes 3 Collab, it depends on the character whom:

-If Lucina or Robin ended up as the Collab Character, I can confirm that it'll be Adapted as part of my Post WoL-DX stories (the Whole Deal with Lucina and Shulk having Dharkon/Galeem in their Bodies being what I considered the First Major arc in those stories) due to it potential contradictions in their Lines regarding Chrom haven't told them regarding the full details of the Events of Kindered Ties yet.

Q2: What was the Prank mentioned regarding the Nohrian and Hoshidians mentioned in Chapter 23? Does it have anything to do with Corrin and Kamui? And why do the Hoshidians and Nohrians Royals still hated each other?

A2: It's basically one of Crazy Hand Pranks to humiliate Corrin and Kamui even further, and Before you ask, The Nohrian and Hoshidans Royals (Save Sakura) still on hostile terms with each other AND Corrin/Kamui (They're will not to cause another war but Takumi/Xander is more then itching for a fight with the other royals/Corrin and Kamui however)

Well, basically The Fateslandia Royals (Yeah, The Continment where Fire Emblem) were invited to the Smash Mansion after the Sherk and Goku Incident (Basically a Take that to the Fans whom wanted them in Smash) to celebrate the DLC guys (Cloud, Ryu, Bayonetta and of course, Corrin and Kamui) coming in.

Crazy Hand, in an attempt to humiliate Corrin and Kamui even more, Spited a Spitball in Takumi's Eye, causing him to get mad at the first thing he saw which In this Case Leo, causing the already hostile rivals to get mad at each other (Since as mentioned earlier, They're still on Hostile terms with each other despite Revelations (Though Kamui sided with her Nohrian Family however) being the Route taken in the DX-Verse)

They then got into into a fist fight which soon followed with the rest of the Royals (Save Sakura) getting into a fight as well, forcing the others smashers to step in to stop said fight with Master Hand even having to wipe the memories of the Event form the Non Sakura Royals' minds to prevent another War in Fateslandia due to his Brother's Hatred for Corrin and Kamui.

On the Topic of Xander and Takumi…. Let's just say that expect them to be Hate sinks (Basically Characters whom only Exist to be Jerks to others without any Sympathy to them) on the Level of SMG4-Verse Francis (Let's just say that Otaku Chameleon is a LOT WORSE in the Anime Arc then his Canon Self) or for a more clearer example: GHETSIS form the Unova Pokémon Games (If you thought Pokémon is all sunshine and rainbows, wait till you see HIM at least)
