A/N haha I was inspired by the episode of Friends where Ross doesn't want to know the baby's gender

Over the next few months, the Ducks and everyone else was hard at work studying for their exams. Charlie was now officially dating Noah, Adam was still going to work and Jessica was trying to gradually change her style to more baggy clothes in order to avoid suspicion. The season was about to resume and she was nervously pacing up and down her room, trying to decide if telling coach Orion was a good idea.

"Jess, you gotta tell him, I'm sure he'll stick up for you! He has a daughter himself." Julie said.

"Well, is she in school and pregnant? I don't think so! I can't afford to have my scholarship revoked or god forbid, get kicked out!"

"Are you gonna tell the rest of the team?"

"Ugh, I should, it's only a matter of time before they find out." Jessica sent out a message to everyone, asking them to meet up in the common room. When they all got there, her and Adam stood in front of everyone.

"What's up, guys?" Averman asked.

"Uhm, Adam and I have something pretty huge to tell you all, well two things really." She gulped and looked around to make sure no one else was listening.

"I'm...I'm pregnant."

"WHAT?!" The others shrieked unanimously. "You're what?" "How long?"

"5 months."

"Holy shit...wait, that's around...ooooh, you dog!" Russ punched Adam in the arm.

"Okay, what's the other thing?" Luis asked, excited.

Jessica raised her finger with the ring and smiled. The Ducks all started hooting and cheering.

"Wow, you guys are getting old fast!" Portman scoffed.

"So, when are y'all getting married?" Dwayne asked.

"It's not gonna be until after we graduate."

"Are we all invited?"

"Of course!" Jessica laughed.

"What are you gonna do now that the season is starting again?"

"Ugh I don't know, I guess I have to tell Orion. Whatever happens, happens. I'll see you guys later." While the rest of the Ducks were still discussing the news, Adam decided to go back to his room.

"Hey, wait up!" Adam stopped and turned around. "Congratulations on...you know."

"Thanks, Charlie. I hear you and Noah are dating now, that's good, he seems like a good guy…"

Yeah he is…uhm, listen, I know we haven't really spoken since, you know...but I wanted to tell you I'm happy for you, I know you're gonna make a great dad!" Charlie smiled and gave him a hug.

"Charlie, would you be my best man?"

Charlie beamed. "Of course!"

Jessica finally decided that it would be best to just face the problem head on and tell Orion about why she wouldn't be able to play. She knocked on his office door and got in after being told to.

"Davis! Is my best defender ready for the new season?"

"Uhm, coach, that's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about...I will not be able to play this season."

"What's wrong?"

"Look, before I tell you, I just need to say, I understand if you have to comply with the school's policy and notify the dean and that I've enjoyed being on the team and thank you for the opportunity you gave me."

"What the hell is going on, Davis?"

Jessica sighed and lifted up her hoodie. Orion was speechless. "Let me guess, Banks?" Jessica nodded. Orion exhaled loudly and sat at his desk. Jessica dared not say anything so she waited for the coach to speak first.

"I can't say I'm not disappointed you won't be joining us but I won't tell the dean because I believe you have potential and you're going to go far after…" He pointed to her stomach.

"Coach, I don't know what to say…"

"How about "thanks"? He smirked.

"What did Orion say?" Adam asked while they were taking a walk outside.

"He said he was disappointed that I won't be on the team but that he won't rat me out to Buckley.

"That's great! Ugh I wonder who's gonna be your replacement?"

"Alright, team, I'm sure you all know about Jessica's reason to quit the team so I won't beat around the bush. Since it was sort of sudden, I had to find a replacement in-house. Ducks, meet your new defender, Noah Foster." I take it by the looks on your faces that you've already met.

"Noah, you're a soccer player!" Luis exclaimed.

"Charlie's been showing me how to skate and play, it'll be alright!" Noah beamed.

"Alright, team, scrimmage!"

"Hey, Adam, we're good right? I don't wanna cause any trouble." Noah said.

"Nah, man, we're cool, don't worry. Don't expect me to go easy on you, though!"

Noah chuckled.

"Enough chatter, get into your positions!" Orion's voice echoed throughout the place.

Jessica was waiting for Adam after practice as they were scheduled for another sonogram.

"Sorry, practice took a little longer than I expected." He ran to her and gave her a quick kiss.

"It's okay, babe! So, who's the new player?"

"Take a guess!"

"Uhmm I don't know…"

"Noah! Can you believe it? Dude's never had any experience and Orion's bringing him in because he didn't have enough time to scout for talent outside the school, yeah right, says Charlie's been showing him stuff over the past few months."

"Is that a problem?"

Adam stopped and tilted his head. "My only problem is that you're not there with us!"

She pursed her lips. "I know...I was thinking the other day, I'll probably never get to play with the Ducks again, the few months that I did were so great…" "Oh come on, we can visit these fools from time to time and show them that we're still the best!" He laughed and gave her another kiss.

"The baby looks amazing! Everything seems to be in order! And we can even tell the sex of the baby!" The doctor said with a huge smile as she was writing down things in Jessica's file.

Adam and Jessica exchanged looks.

"No! I don't want to know yet!" Adam exclaimed.

"Babe, really? I do!"

"Well, then I'm gonna wait for you outside."

"Don't worry, dear, a lot of fathers want the element of surprise. I can tell you right now if you're ready."

"Yes, please!"

"You're having a wonderful baby boy!" Jessica gasped and put her hand over her mouth. "Really?"

"Yes! I must warn you that towards the end of your pregnancy, you might experience what we call false labor, it's very similar to the real thing but without the baby part!"

"Okay, thank you, doctor!" Jessica and Adam exited the doctor's office with another ultrasound picture.

"Look at it, you can make out its hands and feet!"

"So, she told you the sex of the baby?"

"Yep!" Jessica grinned.

"Ugh, no nevermind, I don't wanna know!"

"Let's go eat, I'm starving!"

"Tell us! Tell us! Tell us!" Connie and Julie chanted loudly as they were eager to find out the sex of the baby.

"Okay, okay! It's a boy! But you can't tell Adam okay, he wants it to be a surprise!"

"Okay, promise!"

Russ, Averman, Adam and Charlie walked in. "What's going on?"

"Oh, nothing, I was just telling them how I know the baby's gender and you don't wanna know!"

"And Connie knows!" Connie grinned.

"And Julie too!" Julie added.

"What? You told them?"

"Well, they asked!"

"What is it?" Russ asked. Julie whispered it to him.

"What? Russ knows now, too?" Russ leaned in to whisper to the other guys.

"Ohhh! Nice!"

"Are you serious?" Adam went off. "I don't believe this!" He threw his arms in the air and stormed off. The rest of them burst out into laughter.

That same evening, the girls were in Jessica's room while Linda was out. "I can't believe he did that!" Connie frowned.

"I know, poor Tiffany! Rick is such a jerk!" Julie scoffed.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in!"

"Jess, I- oh, sorry…what's up"

"We're just discussing the shit that went down the other day in the cafeteria and how much of a dick Rick is! Well, you should know first hand!"

"Oh, the Tiffany thing? Yeah, that was...yikes! I don't know why some guys do shit like that, she seems like a decent girl."

"Ew, Banks, you sound like a white knight!" Julie made a grossed out face.

"Whaaat?! All I'm saying is that not every guy's like that but the few who do, give us all a bad name!"

"Well, I'm sure not *every* guy's like that and that your little boy isn't going to turn out this way-..."

Connie and Jessica gave her a look.

"I'm-...I'm having a boy? I'm having a BOY?!" He looked at all of them one by one for an answer but they just stared at him, smiling.

"Yes, you're having a boy!"

"I'm having a son!" He dashed out the door and started knocking on the Ducks' doors. "I'm having a boy!"

"Yeah!" Russ and Charlie cheered. "We already knew that!"

"Adam, what the hell, get back in here!" Jessica hissed at him from across the hallway.

"I'm gonna have a son!" He whispered to her.

"I know! Get your ass back in here!"

Connie and Julie decided to give them some time alone.
