In an one room apartment of a rundown brick three story brick building for dust miners, a mother washed, combed and curled her daughter's light blonde hair, a fifteen year old girl on the verge of sixteen.
Applying black eye shadow and red lipstick, "Here's your one chance, Glynda, don't let me down. We didn't have enough lien for food or rent," holding up a red satin dancing dress with velvet trim with a split on the left side, "I've spent every last penny we had to buy this dancing dress," handing the dress to her daughter, "Here's your one chance, Glynda, don't let me down."
Slipping into that dress which fit her real good, Glynda noticed the split went up to her hip. Standing back from the mirror, she saw a woman where a half-grown kid had stood
Dabbling a little bit of perfume on her daughter's neck, she kissed her daughter's right cheek. Looking at the interior of that pitiful shack, the tears formed in her troubled eyes. Looking at her daughter, she took a ragged breath.
"Your father died and I'm dying from dust lung," securing a heart-shaped locket around her daughter's neck, "To thine own self be true."
Shivering as a roach crawled across the toe of her high-heeled shoe, "Mama, what do I do?" she asked
"Just be nice to the gentlemen, Fancy," kissing her daughter's right cheek, "And they'll be nice to you," staring at the ceiling, "Maidens, forgive me for what about to I do," staring into her daughter's green eyes, "But if you want out, well, it's up to you," hugging Glynda, "Now don't let me down because I'm going to move you uptown," leading Glynda outside.
Walking away from that rickety shack, she stared over her shoulder that was the last time she saw her mother and she never returned to that shack.
"It arrived." said Tai plopping a big box on his bed.
Turning his attention from comparing Raven's signature to Summer's, "What arrived?" asked Qrow watching Tai plopping a big box on his bed.
"The care package from my dad," pulling a red trench coat from the box.
Thinking of his time with the Akame tribe, "At least, you got someone that cares," thought Qrow.
Pulling a metal rectangle box out, Tai placed it in his footlocker along with the red trench coat.
Watching Tai placing a gray plastic box on top of the TV Summer brought for Qrow, "What's that?"
Connecting the red, white, and yellow wires to TV, "A game console."
Noticing the two plastic rectangle with two red buttons marked A and B and a black cross with arrows imprinted on it, "What's this?"
"A controller," picking up a matching controller, "They're for the game console," sitting down on the floor cross legged, "What to join?" placing the second controller on the floor.
Picking the controller up, "Akame would kill anyone dumb enough to steal a game console," thought Qrow sitting beside Tai.
"How does this work?" asked Qrow staring his controller.
Inserting Brutal Combat game cartridge into the game console slot, "Red buttons are A and B. They're for punching and kicking. Directional pad are left, right, up for jump and down for crouching."
"That easy?"
"That's why I'm on the easy setting and tutorial."
"Oh," staring at the loading screen.
