The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
A nice aroma filled the air, as Korn walked in with a couple platters of food. Everyone had moved to the dining area a few minutes prior. It certainly made Christina realize just how hungry she was. She hasn't eaten anything since she was down in the lab. Hours before they took her and tried to induce her. The Angel sat down plates in front of everyone.
Not long after he finished giving everyone a plate, Korn paused as he was about to set the last two plates down for the other guests coming.
"Ahh, they're here, Lord Liquiir." Korn stated.
"Excellent, they'll be down any moment then. Would you like to meet them at the door?" The Destroyer asked his Attendant.
Korn shrugs, "No need, they will just let themselves in like they always do."
"Lord Beerus and Whis are here then?" Christina asked.
"Yes, they are most likely coming down the spiral stairs as we speak." Lord Liquiir replied.
She automatically turned her attention to the dining room entrance. Frieza patiently waited too.
"Well, something certainly smells tantalizing in here." Came the bubbly voice of Whis, as he and Lord Beerus entered the dining area.
Korn bows his head in greeting, "Lord Beerus. Brother. So nice of you two to join us. The food had just come out."
"Just try tasting it first this time; instead of swallowing it whole." Lord Liquiir said, in a teasing manner as he picked up a fork.
"Ha, funny! Since you're the one who scarfed down eight dishes of Morru Fish and Zarr, the last time we visited." Lord Beerus quipped.
Christina got up from the table and approached them. She couldn't help herself as she threw her arms around Whis's waist.
"I'm so glad you guys came!" She said.
Whis pat her back, "Of course, everyone back on Earth is worried sick about you. They were worried that you were dead. I contacted Bulma shortly before coming here. She is ecstatic that you're alive and well. She also says, that Anubis is fine, and she will have a room set up for you when we bring you to her Residence." He paused and looked down at her protruding stomach.
"Well, this is an unexpected surprise. We're relieved you're alive and well. But this is the last state we'd expect to find you in." He said, as he peered over at Frieza.
Lord Beerus came over and inspected her too. He gave her belly a long, hard stare. It was to the point, she felt awkward, and rested her hands over her belly.
"Interesting, this child is not even born yet. And it already radiates impressive power." He said.
"Indeed, there's no mistaking who the Father of this child is. It's pretty similar to you're energy signature, Frieza." Whis said.
"Let's sit and eat first. Then they can explain." Lord Beerus stated, feeling hungry, and getting impatient.
Whis didn't say anymore, as the three of them took their seats. It didn't take long for everyone to start digging in. Amusement flashed in Frieza's eyes, as he watched Christina dig in like no tomorrow. But then the portions of bland food those doctors gave them were definitely unappetizing. This is probably both their first real meal in over a year. Still, he hopes that she will pace herself, and not eat too much; too fast.
"Slow down, the food is not going to hop off the plate and run away." Frieza said, with some laughter in his voice.
Christina paused, with a forkful of food right before her gaping mouth. She quickly closed it and her face flushed in slight embarrassment.
"I'm not eating that fast." She mumbled.
"Oh, I don't know, My Dear. You were eating fast enough that it seemed like you were in a race with Lord Beerus." Whis said.
Lord Beerus just grumbled and told him to; 'Shut Up', as he gobbled down another mouthful. Everyone else in the room found their banter amusing.
"Probably still not like the time Lord Beerus and Lord Liquiir had an eating contest back on the world we just left." Christina replied.
Lord Beerus's eyes widened and he gaped at her. While Lord Liquiir got a good laugh out of it.
"I see Buru and Mikka didn't leave much out when they told you about us." He said.
Even Whis was laughing at that amusing memory.
"I remember that silly bet like it was yesterday. Though the only downside to it was, Lord Beerus had a bad case of gas for the next few days afterwards. I practically had to live with a clothespin on my nose during that entire time." Whis admitted.
Christina almost snorted her water once she heard this, and then started laughing. Even Frieza was having a hard time keeping himself composed.
"Sounds like an efficient way to destroy a planet." The Galactic Emperor teased.
Lord Beerus pointed his fork at the former tyrant.
"Watch it Frieza, you're still on thin ice as it is. Which reminds me, how did you get into Universe 8, and why do you have Christina with you?" He asked, with a narrowed gaze.
"You sure you want to hear it all? It's quite a long story." Frieza said.
"I'm a deity, I have all the time in the Cosmos to hear it." Lord Beerus replied.
Frieza sighs, and begins telling the story. Just like with Lord Liquiir and Korn; he started from the very beginning. Why he sent a couple of his men to Vegeta's Home. How Christina got involved. What his scientists created, and how they ended up where they were. She got a little uncomfortable when he got into the part of the story where they were incarcerated in an Underground Lab for a little over a year. Luckily, he didn't go into much detail about the horrible tests and procedures they did to them.
Lord Beerus snorted, when Frieza told them the end goal of these madmen. Of course, it wasn't the first time the Destroyers heard of some mortals thinking they can play God. It was certainly was by far; one of the most outlandish plans they did hear though. Especially, when there are no guarantees how powerful a test tube warrior made up in a lab could be.
Though Lord Beerus and Whis cannot deny how much power their child is giving off. For all they know, it could be a possibility with her one day. If someone like Jiren can become stronger than his own Universe's Destroyer, than it's not to say their daughter Kira couldn't have that potential either. Neither the Destroyer God nor his Attendant have encountered a child this powerful in a very long time. They could only speculate that it had to do with her genetic makeup. After all, Frieza was born with impressive battle power too.
Just like Frieza predicted, after he finished his story, Lord Beerus seemed rather annoyed.
"Just don't do it again. Portals are only one wrung down from time manipulation. Which you know as well as us; is highly forbidden." Lord Beerus warned.
"How so, Lord Beerus?" Christina asked.
"Because, what's to say someone won't create a portal next time that will bring them to the past or future instead. And cause damage to existing timelines. It's no different than if a supreme being were to mess with the time rings. Something that has sadly happened once before. Luckily, Goku and Vegeta were able to help eliminate that threat. But it doesn't mean it will never happen again. This is why Frieza; you need to give up this dangerous quest with portals." Whis cautioned.
"I will. I give you my word, I will not experiment with them again. Besides, all that we had of the extract, was destroyed by Christina when she smashed the vial on the ground. It quickly became neutralized when it mixed in with the chemicals that she previously tossed onto the floor from one of our movable shelves. So there is no more." Frieza explained.
Christina grasped his hand beneath the table and gave him a cursory glance. Something that wasn't missed by Whis or Lord Beerus. Clearly, there was much more to their own story. It certainly surprised both of the Divine Beings. Considering Frieza never cared for anyone but himself. This is something they knew about him, when they first met him decades ago when he was a child. Even then, he showed little regard to the lives of others. Something they knew King Cold had a hand in doing to make him that way.
They all finished their food and thanked Lord Liquiir and Korn.
"Thanks for having us Korn. As always, you're dishes were excellent." Whis praised.
"Your Welcome. Don't be a stranger. And come back and visit with us soon." Korn replied.
"You do the same, our doors are always open." Whis said.
"Thank you, for helping us." Christina said, to the Universe 8 Destroyer and his Attendant.
"Your Welcome, Miss Christina. Pleasure having you both as guests. Good Luck on you're journey home." Korn said.
"And make sure you ask Beerus about the time he was mistaken for a female mate by a Tyrnian Beast on Planet Tyr. That story is solid gold right there." Lord Liquiir teased.
A vein bulged on the side of Lord Beerus's temples.
"Oh yeah! I can think of even more embarrassing stories that involved you these last several millennia, you Jerk!" Lord Beerus yelled, shaking a fist at him.
"Honestly." Whis huffed, before tapping his staff on the ground.
The iridescent light engulfed the small group of four and they were off.
"So Whis, how long will it take to get to Earth from here?" Christina asked.
"I'd say around two hours." He calculated.
"Damn, that's it!? You Divine Beings really are super fast!" She blurted.
"Why, thank you." Whis said, flattered.
Lord Beerus looked over his shoulder back at Frieza.
"Where do you want us to drop you off, Frieza?" He asks.
"Earth. I wish to settle there with Christina and our daughter." He stated.
"Have fun with that. Something tells me Goku and Vegeta won't be very forthcoming about that...especially, Vegeta." The Destroyer stated.
Frieza shrugs, "That's their problem; not mine. Don't get me wrong, I still can't stand those monkeys. But I won't cause any trouble while living there."
"Don't tell us that. We're not the ones who need convincing." Lord Beerus replied.
"What Lord Beerus is trying to say is; it may prove challenging, and may take some time for them to digest the news and accept it. Though being the forgiving type that he is, I don't believe Goku will be too upset by the news, and will get over it pretty quickly. It really is mainly Vegeta you should worry about. I have no doubt that the saiyan prince may try to engage you in a fight." Whis warned.
"He will have to suck it up and learn to live with it. Because I'm not going anywhere. If he wishes to blow off some steam over it, than that is fine with me." Frieza said.
"I really hope it doesn't come down to that. What if he tries to kill you?" Christina says, with worry in her voice.
Frieza opened his mouth to reply. Except Whis beat him to it.
"That may not be the outcome. Especially, if you take on this new form of yours. Care to tell us more about it? You were rather brief, explaining it in you're story back there." Whis said, with interest.
"It was certainly an incredible boost in power. I could tell it made my Golden Form seem like mere child's play. Though, it will probably require some practice to maintain and manipulate. I have a feeling it won't take me nearly as long to master it as my Golden Form. For some reason while I was in that new form, it seemed easier to maintain than the Gold Form. It also wasn't sapping my energy reserves like the Gold Form originally did in the beginning. In fact, I feel like I hardly used up that much energy at all while in that form." Frieza explained.
"You guys should've seen it. He looked like one of those vampires from the Twilight Movies. When they went into the sun and sparkled like a disco ball." Christina joked.
Frieza rolled his eyes at her remark.
Whis giggled, "That maybe, but I'm sure that doesn't make it any less incredible. I almost didn't believe Lord Liquiir when he said, it felt like it was in Divine Territory. But then, you have always managed to exceed you're limits in the past. Just like Goku and Vegeta continue to do. Because of this, I think you three should learn to work together. There are still huge threats out there. Some that may take the cooperation of the three of you. You don't have to agree. But I do suggest that you three try training together in the future."
Frieza bristled a little at the idea of fighting along side those monkeys. Then his attention turned to Christina, who kept one hand on Lord Beerus's shoulder and the other hand on top of her swollen belly. 'Well, I guess we have to make some sacrifices. Especially, when it involves keeping loved ones safe.' He gathered.
"I'll think about it." He said.
Whis nods, "Very good. That's all we ask."
"Should make for quite an interesting development at least." Lord Beerus added.
"Fingers crossed, it won't end in World War 3." Christina said.
Frieza lightly squeezed her shoulder, "Don't worry, it won't. Just a few craters here and there." He teased.
Christina shook her head with an amused smirk. She can already imagine what their living arrangements will be like. Throw a baby into the mix, and things will get very interesting.
They continued to chat, on the way to Earth. Christina can't say she was too surprised when she learned she lost her home. Something that tends to happen when you're not there to keep up on payments. Though she was really concerned for her family and friends. No doubt, they didn't take her disappearance well. It must be even worse for her parents, seeing as she is their only child.
Christina so badly wants to see them first and foremost upon returning to Earth. But it may come as a shock seeing her not only a alive, but pregnant as well. She is uneasy and unsure of how they may react to Frieza too. Would they really be able to learn to tolerate him? Most of all; except the fact that he is the Father of her child? The only thing she can think of that may help, is that he helped her survive. Without him, she would've been dead for sure. They should at least put that important detail into consideration.
Soon, Earth started to come into view. Christina's heart started pounding a mile a minute with joy and excitement. If there ever was a more beautiful view, it was seeing Earth again; after a whole year and two months away from it. Happy tears started to gather in her eyes and a wide smile lit up her face.
"We shall be entering Earth's Atmosphere in approximately five-minutes." Whis announced to the group.
"About time, that was one of our longest journeys yet." Lord Beerus snapped in impatience.
Which was true for them. Seeing as it never took longer than an hour tops to get to any place in the Seventh Universe, even the far reaches of it. But this was different, because they were coming from a neighboring Universe, and going to Earth. Which is nowhere near the edge of their Universe close to the Eighth. Hence, why it took two hours. Still, it was a hell of a lot quicker than if anyone were to take a ship. Even with the fastest ship ever made, it would take many months to get from one Universe to another.
Finally, they touched down on the large balcony of the Brief's Residence. Where just about everyone was waiting. Christina covered her mouth and couldn't stop the tears from flooding her cheeks. Bulma pulled her into a tight hug. There was a ruckus behind them, as a large black blur shot through the balcony doors with two kids on their tail.
Anubis came over, tail wagging a mile a minute, and crying. Christina dropped to her knees and wrapped her arms around his thick neck, as he showered her face with kisses.
"We can't thank you two enough. Please stay, I just called in a caterer, who's bringing over a large buffet of food." Bulma informed them.
"That's great. I'll admit, we did already eat on Lord Liquiir's World. But I'm sure we can always make some room." Whis said.
"Of course, there's always room for good food." Lord Beerus added, with a satisfied smirk.
Bulma paused, when she saw someone come out from behind Lord Beerus. She almost shit herself when she saw it was Frieza.
"Wha...What!? What is he doing here!?" She blurted out in alarm.
"Bulma, it's ok. He's not going to hurt anyone." Christina said.
The blue haired woman snapped her attention back to her friend. That's when she finally noticed, Christina's heavily pregnant belly. How she missed that at first, she's unsure. Probably because she was just happy and relieved to see one of her oldest friends safe and sound. Her eyes nearly bulged out of her head.
"Christina, what happened?!" Bulma gasped.
The younger woman rubbed her arm and averted her gaze towards the ground.
"It's...a long story. Not going to lie, you may not like what I say at first." She confessed.
Frieza approached Christina and stood beside her. Bulma's eyes ping ponged back and forth between the two. Then her mouth dropped open to the ground when it clicked. Her shock was short lived and turned into anger. The Capsule Corps. Heiress clenched her fists. She stomped over to Frieza and to everyone's surprise; slapped him hard across the face.
"You bastard! You did this to her didn't you!? Is there no level of depravity you won't sink to!?" She screamed in his face.
Frieza just stood there, stunned and wide eyed over the woman's outburst. He certainly wasn't expecting that outcome.
"You have five seconds, Whis. To get him off our planet." Vegeta snapped as he walked through the balcony doors.
Goku landed on the balcony shortly after and did a double take when he saw Christina alive and...pregnant!? And with his most dangerous rival standing beside her. He approached them with a serious look.
"You have a lot of explaining to do." The normally cheery saiyan; said to the former tyrant.
"And I will, as long as you refrain from attacking. Do keep the saiyan prince on a tight leash though. No doubt he is about to try and pummel me." Frieza quipped.
"Why you..." Vegeta growled.
Goku held up his hand to silence him.
"Vegeta wait, let's hear what he has to say first." Goku demanded.
The orange clad saiyan turned his attention back to the pair. His gaze softened when he saw Christina.
"It's great to see you're ok, Chris. But can you help us out here? Why are you with him?" Goku asked.
"We will explain everything as best as we could. But first...can I use you're bathroom Bulma? My bladder feels like it's about to burst.
Both saiyans sweat dropped at the random remark. Bulma just gave her a small knowing smile and gestured for Christina to follow her.
Before she left the balcony to use the bathroom, Christina turned to Whis and Lord Beerus, and asked that they made sure a fight didn't break out before she came back. Whis told her not to worry. She reluctantly left the balcony, Anubis hot on her heals, as he followed his long lost Master inside. This was definitely going to be fun.
Until Next Time ;)
