Throne Room, Mewni Castle

I turned and looked at a figure. There he stood...Marco. With darkness in his eyes and hood up. My eyes filled with tears of blame. He began to walk toward me but Tom stood in front of me.
"Star stand behind me!" Marco stopped and looked at him. My hands were shaking.
"Tom don't!" Tom glared at me.
"I'm here to protect you star! Look at him. Do you think he's all there!? Dark Magic has taken him over!" I heard knights running towards us.
"The princess is spotted!"
"Tom behind us!" Two knights approached us. Tom began to build up a fire ball. I looked at Marco as he was glaring at us doing nothing. His eyes covered in purple lines and spots. The knights split into and began to chant something along the lines of 'Teu' Yoy Sey'. I kept my wand pointed at Marco as Tom dealt with the knights.
"Marco! I know the Dark Magic hasn't taken you over completely...Eclipsa made sure of it..." His face remained emotionless.
"Dammit...why is fate always putting us against each other!" He removed his hood. and looked at Tom in combat with the knights.
"If you thought the knights would be easy to take down...you'd be mistaken. Queen Mewni made them a lot more formidable...they can even do some basic magic" He looked at me.
"Star...Queen Mewni, Moon, Kalex...You present no solutions to the issues of this land"
"So...you aren't on her side?" Marco looked down and sighed.
"She only wants to restore back the old butterfly order...that doesn't guarantee things will change...same with Kalex and his knights...and Moon well it seems the people have made it clear they will not tolerate the Butterflies anymore. Then you...I do believe that you want and can make change...but there's only so much you can accomplished with a kingdom that despises your family"
"So what you plan to destroy everything" Marco's eyes darted to mine seeming shocked.
"Eclipsa showed me the fate of this land...she also told me to stop you from whatever you plan on doing"
"Star I want peace and stability...and we can't have that...unless I destroy what causes it..."
"STAR BEHIND YOU!" I turned as a knight slammed the ground behind me causing a shock wave.
"THE WAND!" As I was blown back the wand came out of my hand. The other knight picked it up and threw it at Marco.
"I thought they served Queen Mewni!?" Tom helped me up
"They serve what they believe is right for this kingdom" The wand bursts into fire. As he held it it formed from my wand into a wand that brandished a sun on fire. He pointed the wand at me and put me in a suspended stasis.
"STAR!" Tom summoned a fire wave at Marco.
"Let her go!" Marco cleared the waved and froze tom in place from the neck down.
"Star are you ok?" I nodded
"I can't transform out of here!" Tom tried moving.
"What are you trying to do!?" Marco signaled the knights away.
"I want to explain...why I came to this conclusion" He put the wand against the floor in the throne room as a the castle shook the room began to descend down.
"Star...what is this?" I never knew this even existed.
"If Moon didn't know of this I doubt star knows" Marco stated as the room descended. Tom tried to move again grunting.
"And who the hell told you!" Marco looked at him...his eyes full of sorrow.
"Queen Mewni did...but she doesn't know what I intend to do with it" The room became engulfed in a portal that remained underneath the castle...another thing I was unaware of. We entered and saw the land of magic...but it was different than before while some was filled with unicorns and the pretty yellow that made magic pure the majority was...dark...purple and extremely stormy. The room came to a stop. The wind blew Marco's hair as he ran his hands across the dark magic that flowed against the pure.
"Why are we here?" Tom asked. Marco waved the wand and an orb surrounded the room.
"Because before I change this land...I want you two to understand...why..." A figure appeared behind him.
"This land...it's people...it's history...will be burned...and out of the ruins...the Kingdom of Sol will rise..." The figure looked at me.
'It's...the one from before...from Eclipsa's portal...the Harbinger of Dimensions'
"Star...it's to late to be stopped now"
"Star...who is-" The figure disappeared before him and another appeared. I saw a hand place on Marco's shoulders
"We need to fix this land...for my dad...revenge...remove them from the crown...it belongs to the people of Senaz" Kalex then vanished as another place their hand on Marco.
"Marco...you have all the knowledge I need..." Eclipsa vanished and another appeared.
"I know you're divided between what you think is right and protecting star" I teared up seeing him...Dad. He had his hand also on Marco.
"We need to protect her...but she can no longer remain here...this land must be fixed...then she can return...". Marco...before I lost him placed his hand on Marco's shoulder.
"My plan...is to destroy all of this land...it's people and begin a new...as the kingdom of Sol..." Marco raised the wand as the orb disappeared and the wind picked up.
"HERE I DESTROY MAGIC AND LIGHT A FIRE THAT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THIS DIMENSION!" Marco pointed the wand in the sky as fire whirled around him.
"STAR WE HAVE TO STOP HIM!" I began to think that maybe...he's right what if...it's to late for us...this kingdom but...do all these people need to die.
"TOM! WHAT IF-"
"NO! STAR! HE'S NOT RIGHT WE MIGHT NOT HAVE TIME NOR THE SOLUTION BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY ALL NEED TO DIE!" Marco slammed the wand. The dark and pure magic merged as the dark began to take over the pure.
"I will send all of you away..." Marco opened a portal.
"Marco..." Marco smiled at us.
"Soon star...we'll meet again...I promise." The magic storm engulfed him as he morphed into his red sun armor which lit a blaze all the magic.
"MARCO!" Tom broke out of the the ice that encapsulated him. Instead of attacking Marco Tom grabbed me.
"Tom we have to stop him!" Tom covered us with a molten shield as the magic storm has completely turned into a fire hurricane throwing around fire orbs. The unicorns now with red and white fur. They approached us engulfed in fire with glowing yellow eyes. Tom looked at them as Marco was lost in the storm.
"It's to late to stop him Star we need to warn Kalex and the rest" Tom opens a fire portal. As we make our way through I look back where I last saw Marco. The magic realm was now nothing but fire and the sky only had a Red Sun over it bursting in flames.
Now our only chance of victory...was survival.

Before the Fire Storm
As the battle went forward Queen Mewni stood on a rock above the others. The knights and people cross swords...spill blood. Queen Mewni looked at me as I approached her.
'I thought Queen Moon was on her!?' I thought. With no sight of Moon's whereabouts.
"I guess it's up to me then...to finish this" I stood a few feet from her as the battle commenced forward.
'Whether we lose to today or not...I have faith star will succeed.'
I looked at all the bodies of brave...and corrupted laying on the grass as the rain poured down on them
'Their...our sacrifices wont be a waste'
"It's to late to stop me Kalex. I hold Eclipsa and Marco under my command. The knights will continue to fight..." I gripped my sword. I knew then there was talking her out of it.
"It may seem bleak now but in time...this kingdom will return to it's former glory. Maybe then we can restore Senaz in-"
"I don't want to hear it Mewni!. You're justifying corrupting an entire kingdom with black magic. It's unforgivable now and it will remain so long after us" I stared into her eyes. Looking for any semblance of the Mewni I knew. All I saw was a hollow shell of a Queen. She was fueled with rage and determination.
"All I want...is unity, Kalex. Our history is filled with betrayal and division. Eclipsa is perfect example of that. She tainted our family...and all I'm doing is repairing it back to it's purist form"
"Then what about star then! She seeks the same as you. You're fighting against your family...MOON!...STAR!...US! The knights...ME!...We care about you...but you're forcing us to choose between peace...and whatever hell you bring"
"If you think I'm the true enemy...then you've already lost this battle" 'What does she mean' If not her then why are we fight her right now...and...if not her then who
"If I am to lose the battle...and The true butterflies cannot take back what's ours...then no one will claim it as theirs's".
'What...a backup plan...it has to be that. Eclipsa was incase in crystal of which only star could break...no one else could pose much of a threat besides those two unless...'
"...Marco..." I glared at her as she smirked
"I know not what he intends to do...but eclipsa has stated he is important to both of ours plans...Which is why instead of staying at the castle I chose to fight on the front lines, He will help me fix this land and restore the old butterfly kingdom!" Filled with rage I threw my sword at her. She blasted it away and hurled fire and ice orbs at me. Lesa pushed me out the way blocking them with her sheild blowing us back.
I looked to see if she was ok. I never noticed she was wearing her Red Sun armor.
"You OK!?" I nodded. Her armor was all scratched up and smeared in smoke and magic residue.
"Where's the rest of the knights?"
"Helping deal with the rest...Mewni is our responsibility!" She pulled out her sword engulfed with lighting magic.
"Kalex...we have to kill her here and now!" I know she's been doubting whether I could kill Mewni or not and honestly so was I.
"I won't stop you from doing so...but...I refuse to do it" She nodded.
"That's all I needed to hear"
Lesa charged Mewni as she dodged the orbs thrown at her. Lesa slide and threw a fire bomb which exploded next to Mewni, but she absorbed the flames and shot them back at her. She propped her sheild up which took most of the damage. I shoot a lightning rod out of my sword which pushed her back far enough to get Lesa time to get up. Mewni then pried rocks from the ground and hurled them at us. Lesa and I cutting our way through them until we got close enough.
"NOW LESA!" Lesa's sword expanded and burned with explosion magic. She swung at Mewni who dodged with ease and pushed the sword to the ground which exploded sending everyone flying.
It took me a bit to get up but Lesa was already up fighting Mewni on her own. I looked down and saw my armor beaten and battered.
"GET UP KALEX! WE'RE ALMOST DONE KEEP FIGHTING!" I mustered everything I had to try and get up. The lack of rest and constant fighting had finally taken it's toll. Lesa's sheild blocked a beam of dark energy. Mewni then swopped in and punched the ground causing rocks to shoot at her.
Lesa was tired...I could see that. Someone who has lived as long as her and fought just as much...you'd think they be tired of this...but her eyes said others wise. Beaten...tired...she still kept fighting. Maybe it was because this was the battle she never finished...maybe she blames herself for what happened all those years ago.
Lesa dodged the rocks and threw her sword at Mewni scrapping her leg.
"You don't know when to give up huh?!" Mewni spoke
"You couldnt defeat me then...what makes you think you can now!" Lesa catching her breath kneeling didn't say anything.
A beam out of now where shot Mewni sending her flying back. I looked and saw Moon land next to Lesa.
"Moon!?"
"You did good Lesa...leave the rest to me" Lesa nodded and ran to me. I saw Moon walk to Mewni. Lesa helped me up.
"Should we help the others?" I shook my head.
"If we defeat her, this battle ends...we need to watch Moon's back"
'The only way we can accomplish that is if we kill her" I understood that...but I knew in my heart I wouldn't be able to do it.
"IT'S TO LATE MOON! THE PEOPLE HAVE MADE IT CLEAR THEY ARE DONE WITH YOU AND YOUR RULE"
"I'm not here to take my kingdom back. There's nothing left here for me...except for Marco...we're taking him back home. Hand him over then star and I will leave you be...that's all I ask" Mewni shook her head. Moon then came to a realization...something I hadn't noticed yet.
"...Where is he..." Mewni got up without saying anything.
"If he isn't here then...WHERE IS MARCO!" If he wasn't here then it means...
"I initially ordered Marco to lead the attack...but I took into consideration your "precocious cargo" and it seems he was aware of it too...by now Star is either fighting him...or already dead" Moon gritted her teeth and lunged at her charging a beam in her left hand. I looked around noticing the battle still raging on with no clear victor in sight. Bodies sprawled across the plain grass as the rain fell wiping any blood from there faces into the soil. The other Red Suns fighting along side their allies and the Eclipsa's knights defending their home against their will. Arrows rained and fire consumed them.
I opened my eyes in the pitch black off night next to a camp with the only source of light coming from the crackling fire. I looked around and saw the Red Suns and Lesa sleeping but a figure sat on the log in front of the fire their hood covering their face. Something compelled me to sit next to them; I walked over and sat down in complete silence only allowing the noises of nature and the fire speak their piece.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" The figure asked bluntly. I didn't know what they were referring to but I assumed it was the fire.
"Yea...it's burns with a purpose" The figure looked across from him.
"And you?" I looked over and saw him...Marco sitting there across from me.
"Marco what are you-"
"Yeah it is" He looked sad...full of sorrow and regret.
"What brings the both of you here?" Marco looked at me.
"Kalex what are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing I-" The figure hushed us.
"Shhhhhh. Don't disturb them...they're resting. Answer my question" Marco felt off like he either didn't care...or he's experienced this more then once.
"I...was in the middle of a battle...but I forgot for what and against who" Marco remained quiet. The figure then unhooded himself.
It was me but different. I looked older and more rugged. It had my face and my voice...but it wasn't me. Marco remained silent.
"Your purpose...is to bring back a lost time" He looked at me and then at Marco.
"And you...your purpose is burn like fire" Marco remained silent looking at the ground poking at it with a stick.
"One of you will have your purpose fulfilled. Mewni is on the brim of a new age. You two are the catalyst of that. A man who seeks resurgence and a boy who seeks change" Marco got up and began walking away.
"Marco where are you going?" He stopped and stood still. The fire grew larger and it shot up. I jumped back avoiding getting burnt. The figure remained still. I noticed their appearance changed. An old man with a red sun on his chest.
"Dad?" He smiled at me.
"Thank you son...for holding on to my wishes...until the very end...I love you" The fire engulfed him along with the other knights
"NOO! DAD!" The fire rose and began spewing out fire balls and the ground began to burn. I looked at Marco holding the wand. I saw a bow and picked it up aiming at him
"MARCO STOP THIS!" He turned around. Tears fell from his eyes...but his eyes burned with determination as the fire rose. I suddenly knocked out, conscious but only seeing nothing
"A fire burns with purpose. It can destroy entire civilizations and scorch miles of lands but it can create as easy as it burns. It can create beauty or destroy it. Burn like a fire! Rise...My kingdom of Sol"
"Kalex!" I woke up to Lesa waking me. Moon and Mewni were still fighting and the battle like before raged on.
"Are you OK?! You just fell over!" I remember what I had heard. 'Burn like fire?...Kingdom of Sol?' It all seemed un real. All I felt was fear. Lesa picked me up and I leaned against her, for some reason I felt weak and sluggish. I began to lose consciousness again. I looked at Lesa yelling but I couldn't understand her. The Last moment I remember was the smell of fire...all consuming fire.
Hey! Been awhile. Started college in January and it's consumed me ever since. I still plan on finishing this story don't worry but I also plan to remaster most of the old chapters of Hero Gone Rogue as my writing skills have gotten 0.01% better since then those chapters haven't exactly aged well.
My next big story is going to be on Attack on Titan and the 2nd chapter is basically done so I'll be busy but the next chapter shouldn't take months to come out
