OK People, I had been planning for Challa to get captured for a while but was struggling to figure out how to do it, then I realized I had at my disposal a character I had created for an RPG Glacier the Arctic Fox, she already has her own unrelated story and a briefly debated with myself for bringing her into this story but I needed a reason for the rescue heroes and the NYPD to be able to get away with Challa and also thematically after what Challa had just said about mutating an army of intelligent Mutants the sudden reveal of other Mutants being created by humans will suddenly hit a lot harder,
After that brief awkward moment Mikey wanted to get on with showing Chanchalla around New York, for a moment Don hung back as his brothers and Challa were leaving, something about Challa's idea of finding the ooze to mutate more animals stuck in his mind, not to create an army but…The possibility of simply creating children for them to pass their knowledge onto before they died, that was something that haunted Donatello's dreams the facts that as the only members of their kind they would have no children thus no genetic legacy, he realized Challa had stumbled upon a possible solution to this problem and even though he had just said it wouldn't be right to deliberately create more Mutant Animals in a world where they would never be free, something about the idea still wouldn't leave him alone…
"Don you coming?" Leo's voice broke through his reverie
"Yeah," Don said "I'm coming."
Someone far above them was watching, and as he was sleeping Jake Justice got a call
"Huh?" He groggily rubbed his eyes "The Sheep Girl has been spotted on the surface? Great! Locate Seymour Wilde and Aiden Assist."
Jake had no idea that they would have another helper Warren Waters had requested in secret.
Sometime later Rescue Heroes Animal Wrangler Seymour Wilde was waiting for the Turtles and their Sheep Companion to arrive waiting in a building across from the ones they were traveling, covered with a black tarp with his tranquilizer gun at the ready.
"This just this doesn't feel right…" Seymour murmured on his headset "…I wrangle animals; these beings are clearly intelligent beings…"
"I know." Jake replied from his position "But it's better we get her than someone else…Aiden Assist you ready."
In an alley between two buildings the Turtles would soon jump over, Aiden and several members of the NYPD were waiting below "Ready as I'll ever be," He sighed "But a creature from a different world might not react the same to human medicines…Different creatures of this planet have different biochemical reactions, I wouldn't treat an Earth Sheep with medicine meant for humans."
They only had one shot at this…
As Chanchalla was leaping from one building to another, Seymour shot and a tranquilizer dart hit Challa in the shoulder just as one foot landed on the edge of the building, she slipped and fell…
"CHALLA!" Leo screamed he tried to reached for her hand but she slipped away from him and fell into the alley below.
Fortunately the NYPD officers were waiting below with large cloth to catch her with, she fell onto the cloth already out of it because of the tranquilizer dart and the cloth became a bag with which to hold her.
Of course the Turtles saw this and were not gonna let her be taken without a fight assuming this was the work of Bishop.
Aiden was a paramedic not fit for combat and he feared he was soon gonna need medical attention himself as the Turtles dropped down with their weapons in hand…
No one was expecting someone else to join the fray…
A blaze of white and dark blue got between the Turtles and the Humans, leaving everyone stunned for a moment as Anthropomorphic Arctic Fox wielding a machete faced the Turtles.
"Run!" She said the Humans "I'll hold off these wild Mutants!"
This completely through off the Turtles Don asked "Who are you?!"
"Special Agent Glacier of the United States Armed Forces." The Vixen entered battle stance "I was sent to handle you Wild Mutants."
As the Humans began making their getaway with Challa, Mikey began to follow but Glacier swung her unusually large and bushy tail in Mikey's face temporally stunning him by getting her fur in his eyes.
And then Raph roared "TRAITOR!" and leapt at her
Glacier was able to successfully hold them off long enough for the Humans to load Challa into Jake's car and escape to the secret place where they intended to interrogate Challa.
Seeing she had succeeded in preventing them from following Challa's kidnappers, the Turtles stopped holding back and seriously injured Glacier….It may have been what Challa had said previously but the idea of a Mutant Animal helping the Humans capture fellow Mutants infuriated them in a way they never had before, it was Don actually who did cracking his Bo staff so hard against Glacier's exposed midriff so hard his Bo broke in two, Glacier fell on the ground gasping for air.
The Turtles had a dangerous expression on their faces they never had before as they took the Vixen with them, to send a message to Challa's captors they had a hostage.
Discovered a YouTube channel called Rinse Repeat that every Saturday bundles as many classic Saturday Morning cartoons as he can (Without getting a copyright strike which probably way the really popular franchises like TMNT and Batman the Animated Series can't be included) along with vintage commercials and network bumpers so you really feel like you're watching cartoons in the 90s or early 2000s one completion featured the short lived Free Willy Cartoon in that episode the heroes are in the Arctic with an Arctic Fox featured in the beginning
