They pulled up to headquarters a quarter to 10. It was silent in the car as she parked it. Gray had opted to take a nap while he could and had not awoken yet.

The car was parked and the engine rumbled beneath her, but she still made no move to pull the keys out of the ignition. She started ahead instead, hands still clasped on the wheel. It wasn't until she saw movement out of the corner of her eye that she did, nudging Gray awake as she did.

"Hey, Gray." She whispered, placing a hand on his shoulder, "We're here."

"Huh," He groaned, twisting out of her grasp. "Not now, Black Sheep." He sighed deeply, slipping back into sleep. "I'll get up soon."

Carmen's hand stopped mid-air, hesitating, trying to figure out how she felt about...that. She pushed it aside and shook Gray's shoulder again, shaking him gently awake. "Gray," she said a little louder.

He blinked at the sunlight, "Huh, we're here?"

She nodded, momentarily considering telling him he called her Black Sheep. It had been years since anyone has called her that. She pushed the thought away as she pushed the car door open. As soon as she placed a foot outside the door, she was immediately pulled into a hug by Ivy and Zack with a "Carm!".

"Hey, guys." She said, hugging them back for a moment before letting go.

"I've missed you, Carm." Zack almost whimpered.

"Yeah," Ivy repeated the sentiment, "Tell us next time you decide to pull a disappearing act."

Carm smiled, not giving much of a reaction. She didn't miss them. Well, she did, but not in the way they did. She didn't remember much of the past year. She didn't remember that she missed them. "I've missed you too," Carmen said as she pulled her luggage from the car.

"Uhh," Carmen heard behind her. "What's he doing here?" She looked up to see Zack pointing at Gray.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that, huh?" Carmen explained, grabbing Gray's luggage as she did. "He's with me."

"Right." Ivy drawled. Carmen would probably have to tell them not to maul him to death, she realized, remembering how protective they could sometimes be, smiling faintly.

"Right," Gray said. "I'm here with Carmen."

Carmen smiled at him. "Yeah." She echoed.

A/N:

I imagine Zack and Ivy would be incredibly protective of Carmen, lol. Also, if you're wondering why it took so long for these two to show up, it's because I really didn't know what to do with them for the longest time, lol. Though, these two did lead to chapters 28 and 29, which I consider to be the best chapters I've written so far.

The title is from My Idea of Fun by Wingnut Dishwashers Union because I've got Pat the Bunny on the mind right now. Also, "Lost and Trapped" is just a shortened form of "I swear I'll run away from every home I ever have/So I'll build a new house in every town I pass/Maybe then I won't always feel lost and trapped"
