Kurenai exited the garden stopping next to Inuyasha and sighing.
"So, Kagomes been set up?" Inuyasha asked. Kurenai turned to him.
"It would appear that way. Say nothing, go comfort your friend. You may be the only one here she trusts." Kurenai replied.
Yeah, sure." Inuyasha gave a slight nod before opening the door to join Kagome outside.
"Guard." Kurenai motioned towards the two who had escorted her. "Attain Akiko, place her in her chambers until further notice with posted guards."
"Yes my lady." Both said in unison. One of the guards motioned for two more to replace them as Kurenai walked down the hall.
Nari felt his anger pulsate off of him in waves. It made his demonic energy snap and crackle wanting to break free. With a growl he sniffed out his mate finding her in her own bed chambers.
He made his way to her feeling her own energy fighting against the tight bonds she kept on it. The guards stepped aside from the door allowing him entrance.
Kurenai stood on her balcony that overlooked the ocean. Her hair was loose whipping in the breeze as she had shed her regal kimono and stood in a simple white pullover showing the true extent of her pregnancy.
Nari watched her for some time drinking her in, simply allowing the sight of his mate to calm him.
"Are you just going to stand there and stare or are you going to join me?" She asked. Nari accepted her invitation wrapping his arms around her from behind.
He rested his head against her shoulder running his hands against her stomach feeling the movement from her womb.
"It didn't go well with Sesshomaru." Nari began. "He has no idea how to express himself."
"And his mate expresses herself quite often, laying her emotions out for all to see."
"I wish that I could fix this for them." Nari whispered.
"As do I mate." Kurenia said. Her shoulders slumped. "I like Kagome but keeping her here is just cruel. Akiko has betrayed us Nari." She felt his grip tighten on her slightly. "Your sisters impudent bitch was using Kagome for information and poor Kagome thought she was her friend."
"Where is Akiko now?"
"Confined to her chambers with posted guards."
"Adept as always my pretty."
"One of us has to be." Kurenai rested her head against her mates and placed her hands over his.
