New Paths to follow

Chapter 25th

Two days later...

Admiral Harriman Nelson walked into the lab to find out from Lauren Two on whether he was able to contact the Cystallines trapped. Nelson was with Lee Crane and Morton finding this rather interesting.

The human Crystalline now fully developed. He was sitting at the edge of his cot seeing Admiral Nelson and his friends walking in.

"I was able to make contact with someone name Talone. He tells me that his group of four are trapped inside the Iceland Ice basin 450 degrees west. They are on the verge to be passing away due to the lack of resources for Admiral. He claims that they might have two weeks of survival time. They are not too far from the surface of the ice and maybe a rescue team could be mounted by the Alliance?" he says.

"I will discuss it with Darien. But in the meantime Lauren Two is there anything else?" he looked over at Lee and Chip most interested.

"There is and you're not going to like it either. I was contacted by another group located at a place called Hanger 18th. It seems your government is performing experiments on them in order to find out what makes them tick. This is a dangerous situation since our race is an endangered species right now. Is there anything you could do to stop this madness?"

Rubbing his chin with his hand. "I have no idea Lauren Two. But I will see what I can do with this situation," he said with asking for an opinion from Lee and Chip.

"First off Admiral Nelson, I suggest that you take the serum to the planet and see if it works. Even though there might be problems from those with the council to have the planet die away. While I will see that the Seaview head towards ICELAND just in case a rescue mission is not mounted from the local military authorities? Plus I can talk with some of your friends in the military and see if they will be able to stop the testing on the Crystallines in Hanger 18?" Lee said...

"I will have Angie recall all personnel to head for ICELAND as soon as possible." Captain Morton had to say.

"Very well let's get moving with the plans before it's too late." Nelson cried out.

SEAVIEW 18 HOURS LATER

The Seaview was short 25 of its personnel with those having left for leave elsewhere and with taking too long with getting back to the submarine. So Colonel Baskins having been asked as a favor to join the vessel to Iceland, along with ten of his Marines on board. This time Commander Lee Crane along with a team of experts and security after speaking with the President of the United States not liking the idea of aliens being exploited ever since the Alliance had been formed.

Commander Rose Marie Baskins after saying goodbye to her husband. She was watching the Flyer readied to be taking off with the same crew as before and a number of containers containing the serum for the population in system 486.

Admiral Nelson along with his wife Syrian was concerned with getting on board the Flyer. Everyone else was on board and strapped in. Commander Baskins walked over to them to wish them all of the best. "Good luck Harriman!" she commented with a kiss on his cheek.

"I highly appreciate it, Rose Marie. I just hope to God that everything works out with the trip back to the planet, while the rescue mission is mounted for ICELAND." he says forgetting something.

"Don't forget Commander Crane heading for Hanger 18 to stop the tests on the aliens?" she commented with emotion with Nelson and his wife getting on board the flyer.

But before getting inside completely..." I haven't forgotten Commander. I just hope Lee is successful?" is all he said before disappearing inside.

Once inside Commander Anderson sitting in the co-pilot seat was adjusting the controls before taking off. Admiral Nelson asked everyone whether they were ready for a second try.

They had all agreed with Nelson calling Traffic Air Control that they were ready to take off with the power levels at 100 %.

Moments later the Flyer had taken off up into the atmosphere. While the Seaview was heading out for the rescue mission. Captain Chip Morton had given the order to head out with a deep breath as Executive officer Stu Riley this time arriving in time for the trip arrived into the Control room with everyone at their stations.

"How are do doing Executive Officer Riley?" Morton has to ask standing at the plot table.

"Chief Sharkey tells me that the reactor is at full power and it should poise no problem with running at flank speed." Riley needed to have said with going over the coordinates for the trip.

"Great! Let's hope this trip there won't be any neutral submarines getting in our way?" Morton exclaimed with his remarks. "Continue on Mr. Riley I will check in with the missile room and reactor."

"Sure enough Captain." Morton had taken the spiral stairway to the next level to head for the aft missile with Colonel Baskins and his Marines were there exercising before taking over the positions for where the departments were lacking.

Heading down towards the hatchway of the missile. He opened it quickly before entering to see the Marines doing their routines with Colonel Baskins on the floor stretching.

Colonel Baskins turned to see the Captain behind him. "Is there a problem Captain?" he coyed with the question.

"Nothing at all Colonel. I just want a nice quiet cruise heading to ICELAND." he commented.

"I completely understand Captain. However, this is a highly classified mission and I will think that someone is going to try and stop us once again for when it comes to the Crystallines and the Alliance."

"And you think that Darien knows something about it after finding out that the United States government has some of Crystallines in Hanger 18th?" he noted with his comment and the shake of his head.

"Think about it Captain with what's has been going on with the flyer taking off, the Seaview, and now Commander Lee Crane heading for hanger 18th?" Colonel Baskins responded by getting off the floor.
