I know she will be protected there, and she won't be alone. She can learn how to control everything that makes her special. I can figure out how to make it safe here from her one day.
"Hope, honey. It's time to get up. We must leave too soon to hit the road. It is a good hour or more trip." I said walking into Hope's room.
When I got into her room, I saw her bed empty. I started to get worried. I then listened from her breathing and heartbeat. She has been trying to sneak up on me. I then heard her slight giggling coming from her closet.
"Oh, I wonder where Hope is? She isn't in her bed or under it." I said pretending to look under it.
"I wonder or wonder where she could be?" I said pretending looking around her room.
I then opened the closet and grabbed her by surprise. She screamed for joy. I then picked her up and put her on her bed. I said as I tickled her,
"I found you."
"I thought I had you this time." Hope me.
"You most did. You did great. But it's time to get ready. We must leave soon. You still have to say see ya to everyone." I told her.
We all hate saying goodbye now since the Mikaelsons' split up to protect Hope. We never say goodbye until see mean it. Even then we don't. Because it's a see you later.
"But why do I have to go? I can stay here and learn from everyone." Hope asked.
"You can. But it is better you go somewhere you are kids at are just like you. Special. Trust me, this is not easy for me too. But it's what best for everyone." I told her.
"Are you sure?" She asked me.
"Yes, I am. The Salvatore School will be able to teach you stuff that Aunt Freya, or I can teach you. Also, you will be around kids your age and make friends." I told her.
"But we won't be able to see each other a lot like now." She spoke.
"That is true. But there are cellphones and video calls like you do with your Uncle Kol and Aunt Davina. We can talk every day at night before you go to bed." I told her.
"Okay. But only because you always do what is best." She told me.
We got ready to leave and everything to go. Hope and I went downstairs. Freya and everyone were downstairs waiting for us. Hope went right to Freya and gave her a huge hug.
"I am going to miss you. But we will be in touch always." Freya told her.
"I am going to miss you too Aunt Freya." Hope said.
Hope gave everyone hugs and said see you later. Then Freya came over to her and me. She looked at us and said,
"Always and…."
"Forever." We completed her sentence.
She gave us a last hug. I said to her,
"I will call you when we get there."
We then headed to Hope's next chapter in her learning. The drive was long. But it went by fast. We then pulled up to the gates of Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted. Caroline and Ric really did a great job with it. The place looks amazing. I then hit the buzzer for someone to open the gates.
"Hello." I heard from the intercommon.
"Hi. My name is Hayley, and I am here to see Ric. I am dropping my daughter Hope off to attend here." I said to the person on the other side. I know that wasn't Ric.
"Go ahead. Headmasters Ric will be out front waiting for you." The person said. Then the gates open. I drove up and put the car into a park. I got out and saw Ric with two little girls. Those are his daughters I am taking.
I opened Hope's door and looked at her. I then asked,
"You ready?"
"Yeah. A new chapter like you always said." She told me with a smile.
We then walked up to them. Ric come over to me and gave me a hug. I hugged him back. He then said,
"It been to long Hayley. It's nice to see you."
"It has been to long Ric. Thanks for this. It means a lot to all of us. Mostly, me and him." I told him. "I would like to introduce our daughter. This is Hope. Hope this is Ric. He is old friend of mine."
"It's nice to meet you Hope. These two lovely girls are my and Caroline's daughter. This is Lizzie and Josie. They will be showing you around while your mom and I talk for a bit." Ric said.
Then the girls went off with their tour. I followed Ric to his office. I took a seat but first I sent Freya and everyone a text telling them we both were safe and here.
"Sorry, just giving everyone a text telling them we got here safe and sound." I told him.
"It's okay. I can understand. You guys have been throw a lot. How are you?" He asked me.
"Holding up. After everything I was the hardest because Hope didn't understand. So, we did the best of good-byes. We are getting better. I have Freya and everyone down in New Orleans helping me. Then Kol still stay in touch by video calls every day. Rebekah sends letters and gifts. Elijah and Klaus are just the two I don't know. Elijah decided to forget everything. Klaus just fell of the earth." I told him.
"Even if I hated them. I would never what this to happen. No one should be separate from their own kid. You guys are so strong for this." He told me.
"Thanks. I really mean it. Thanks for all of this. It really means the world to us." I told him.
"Always Hayley. This was the reason we made this school. But one question. You put down that Hope's last name is Marshall. Why?" He asked.
"To keep her safe. They are still so many people out there who would use her to get to any of the Mikaelson would risk anything for her. So, Klaus and I agreed before he disappeared that she would go by my last name. As a parent you understand." I told him.
"Yes, I do understand. We will keep her safe. I promise Hayley." He told me.
"I know you will. But can you do me one more favor Ric. I have been training her to fight. I know Klaus would want her to keep up on it too. So, can keep it going." I asked him.
"Sure. We can do that. Come on I can show you, her room." He spoke.
"Okay." I spoke.
He then took me to see her room. It was a big place. She will be rooming alone. Which I know Klaus had something to do with that. But I am okay with that. She can do her painting then in here and everything.
We then went to find the girls and see where they were. I stopped when I saw her talking with kids her ago. I smiled at it. She is where she is. I now know this is the best thing for bother of us. She saw me and gave me a wave. I wave back at her.
"She is going to be okay." I told Ric.
"Yeah, she is." He told me.
