Evanora hurriedly packed her bag. As she ran across the throne room to a nearby exit, a calm feminine voice spoke up. "Not so fast." Evanora stopped and turned. It was Glinda. She was seated on the throne. Glinda stood.

Evanora spoke first. "You have the throne, Glinda. What more could you want?" She started to ignite her lightning with her hand behind her back.

Glinda started to walk towards Evanora as she spoke. "You can't give me that. You took what mattered most to me, my father. I'll never again feel the comfort of his kindness. But I'll settle for the freedom of his people."

"Of course, Glinda. I think at the very least they deserve that." Evanora then shot her lightning at Glinda. It hit her and she was thrown across the room. Evanora started to rise into the air.

"What's the matter, Glinda? Out of bubbles?"

"Don't need them. Bubbles are for show."

Glinda floated into the air as Evanora shot more lightning at her, but Glinda deflected the attacks with her wand. As her lightning was being deflected, Evanora grabbed Glinda by her throat. Glinda then grabbed Evanora's chest. As a result of their attacks rebounding off one another, they both landed painfully on the ground.

As Evanora walked slowly towards Glinda, she raised her right hand to deliver another round of lightning attacks, but found that she was unable to do so. She fell to the ground, a shocked look spread across Evanora's face as she stared at Glinda.

"What have you done?"

Glinda looked down at her hand and saw that Evanora's green emerald necklace had been shattered.

Evanora started to kneel over and crawl away. Glinda followed her. As Evanora began to transform, her nails grew long and dirty. Evanora was now an old hag.

"Look at what you've done to me!" Evanora bellowed at Glinda, incensed that her appearance had changed.

Glinda was calm and resolute. "Now everyone will see you as you truly are." This made Evanora even angrier.

Glinda then began to issue her long awaited proclamation against her sister. "In the name of our father, I banish you from the Emerald City, never to return."

In a fit of rage, Evanora lunged at Glinda, who used her wand to repel her out of a nearby window. Evanora smashed through the window, propelled by Glinda's magic to the east.
