Naruto
Akimichi Chane, Yamanaka Inko, Inuzuka Keiru. Shimura Kashi, Hyuuga Susei, Shiori.
After the exam, Shiori was able to get home, feeling both exhausted from the use of her chakra and the amount of strain her insects were going through by both watching over the two people in Konoha exclusively, but also how much she experimented with her skills as an insect-wielder in Iwagakure's Chuunin exam.
Uchiha Itachi was standing near the gate with Sasuke and Naruto waiting for when Aburame Shiori finally made it back to Konoha with the rest of the teams who left a couple weeks before. The whole Chuunin exam started.
Uchiha Shisui was spending time with Izumi on occasion, but also pranked with Naruto on days she was on missions when there were no intense missions going on. Shiori did not spend as much time with him, but she felt herself still smile at the thought of a friend of hers finding things to enjoy and experience.
Umino Iruka has been busy with his own teammates, and she saw Mizuki passing by every now and then to take the hint that he could be higher rank by missions instead of the exams.
"Team Nara, Team Kurama, The third Hokage means to see all you." Shiori did not see who it was that told everyone, but once she saw everyone leaving started to follow after them as well. The walk a change of pace for Shiori over trying to keep up hoping tree branch to tree branch with the others.
Naruto a buzz of energy and excitement on seeing the catalyst who introduced him to everyone that he is close to now, but was halted by Itachi when Shiori had to head towards the hokage tower.
"Itachi-nii? Why can't we have fun with Shiori-nee-chan?" Naruto spoke, his voice high pitched and filled with excitement. He was not very good at holding in his excitement, but from being around Itachi and Shisui, was working on calming down for one Uchiha, while the other lets the more mischievous side out every now and then.
Sasuke was indifferent to the return of Shiori, but also had a slight warmth of how no matter who was busy, whether it was her, Itachi or Shisui, one or two of them always tried to train both himself and Naruto or help them in some way. It turned into more about having fun when Naruto gets more involved, but it was not a bad distraction for any of them.
In the Hokage building,
Shiori was waiting peacefully and more than a little distracted from all that has happened in the past few weeks. Some that she wished she could of adjusted and others she did not really think about until she saw it happen, either from the type of bug-vision or heard from her friends.
"You all took on the Chuunin exams admirably…" the Third hokage spoke calmly, before taking a huff from his pipe, "I hear all of you did rather impressive feats of teamwork and showed quite some skill at the exam, as well." The voice gruff, but kind almost grandfatherly in how the third hokage spoke.
Shiori remained quiet as Nara Riyumo and Kurama sensei speak of what has occurred at the exams briefly, where it became almost like an over view of the whole; no matter if the hokage was present or absent, the information was relayed to them all the same it seemed.
"Inuzuka Keiru your skill shows enough promise to be Chuunin level, Akimichi Chane showed admirable skill, but may still need to practice before becoming a chuunin, Yamanaka Inko you were rather resourceful in your clan techniques and how to help your team where you could become a Chuunin…" He pauses, seeming to hint at being able to wait on going to the next level with how the other teammate was part of the usual 'Ino-Shika-Cho' formation, lacking a Shika.
"Hyuuga Susei you showed rather admirable skill in handling your adversaries and even defending your many comrades to become Chuunin, Shimura Kashi you were brash and the brunt force of your team which although not always good on your own worked rather well in getting to your goals… reminds me of a certain teammate I had when younger, and Aburame Shiori…"
3rd pov of Konoha,
Itachi knew that the exam went rather smoothly from the letters he received from Shiori and read to his brother and the adopted brother, Naruto, for he felt Shiori implied for that to happen. He did not understand why, but he also had a fondness for the blonde jinchuriki after just spending time with the young boy, with Sasuke and the few sparing moments without the younger Uchiha.
Uchiha Shisui was able to bond with Naruto almost overnight from finding out how much of an avid prankster they both were and how they both enjoyed training in different ways. Itachi did enjoy sparring with Shisui to improve on his personal skills with his best friend, but also knew that the younger boys would usually want to train to keep up with them.
Naruto has started doing better in the academy thanks to the Uchihas persistent help, although Shisui and Itachi now felt a slight bit of dread when it comes to trying to go over assignments with the young jinchuriki.
"This is similar to Shiori-chan…" They would comment as a comparison, on occasion due to the similarities they found, although Shiori did okay with paperwork and poorly with handsigns, and Naruto was just poor with his assignments.
Due to Naruto being around the Uchihas, it pushed Sasuke to slowly open up to train and spar with the blonde boy more and not turn to his brother, Itachi, or the friend, Shisui, as often. Sasuke remained quiet and reserved in the academy, but hung out with Naruto during the academy days, and usually when in the academy together, lunch or classroom.
When Naruto ran off to play a prank on someone, or do something big with Shisui, it was usually those two as the pranksters and Sasuke and Itachi staying out of the pranks.
I wanted to explain the growing friendship between Naruto and the Uchihas. Naruto is comparable to Shiori in having trouble somewhere with the start of becoming a Shinobi.
