Hey all! I hope no one got too excited when they saw that I had updated only to be disappointed that it's only an author's note. I've recently gotten quite a few messages and even some reviews and I thought it would be best to respond and acknowledge them. The last thing I want is for people to think I am ignoring them or that I don't care. It's the complete opposite. Thank you to those of you who left reviews and/or messaged me over the last 6 months (jeez, where did the time go) - it really means a lot to me.
First off, I am alive (clearly) and I am okay. I don't want to give some lame excuse about being too busy...but that's the 100% truth. I got my first teaching job back at the end of August and it has been...very physically and mentally exhausting (as well as very rewarding, I absolutely love it, believe me!) On top of the normal stress of being a brand new teacher, this pandemic has added even more stress to my plate and any free time I do have is dedicated to sleep and relaxing. I was writing this story chapters ahead so I would always have back up, but the chapter I posted back in October was unfortunately the last one that I had written in its entirety. Since then, I've written bits and pieces, but not anything that would be worth posting.
This story is not over, I promise. I have 100% intentions of finishing this story, as well as writing other ones in the future. I don't want to give a promised time of when to expect a new chapter because, to be honest, I have no idea when I will get a chance to sit down and write. At least, not from now until June when the school year ends. I would like to say that I might find some time between not and then, but I'm just not sure. I know that's frustrating and probably not something you were hoping to hear.
