Chapter 24: CPU Dual Heart

I seem to be walking around to what seems to be Planeptune but there was something unfamiliar yet familiar about it. I then suddenly bumped into somebody.

"Ow!" I heard a girl cry out while I felt her glaring at me. "Watch where you're going!"

"O-Oh… I'm sorry?" I then looked at the girl in question. The girl had long purple hair and blue eyes with a black sweater, a purple skirt, white sock, and black shoes.

"Yeah… yeah… whatever…" She then rolled her eyes as she then closely looked at me. "So you're the CPU of this nation… I thought you were something holy at the very least…"

"W-What…!?" Wait, how the hell did she know that I was a CPU! And more importantly, why I can tell that she's being honest! "How did you…? W-Why are you being so mean to me…?"

"No… I was just being honest…" She rolled her eyes again before smirking at me. "Either way, what's your name?"

She first insulted me and then she wanted to know my name!? Who the heck is this girl!?

"But… um… why do you want to know my name?" I asked her out of curiosity.

"Eh… I was just curious…" She told me, to which surprised me since she was telling the truth as well.

"W-Well, I… um…" I tried to form words out of my mouth though it kept failing. Am I nervous? Or am I scared? "I'm Sapphire… Sorry for the lame introduction…"

The purple-haired girl just giggled at my attempts. "Nah… it's fine…" She said as she scratched the back of her head. My name is…!"

Before she said anything, the scene suddenly switched to somewhere in a black void. There wasn't anything around me when I looked around. It was empty… cold… and… sad…. And when I looked down… I saw… I… saw…

Sapphire's POV…

My eyes quickly shot open as tears were forming in my eyes. I slowly stood up as I took a look around my surroundings. I was lying on a king-size that kinda looked kinda like the ones from those royal castles, though most of my surroundings were kinda like that. I looked down and, instead of seeing my normal clothes, I was wearing white pajamas that had red mushrooms with white spots on them.

What was with that dream? I thought in frustration as I was scratching my head as I kept looking around. And where did everyone?

The more I looked around, the more frantic I've become. Technically, I felt like I was fine though I still felt a little light-headed. But more importantly…

Why did everyone leave…? Do they hate me for running away… Or maybe… I then shook my head in denial. No… there's no way they died… right?

"Sap-Sap! You're awake!" I heard Compa said as I looked towards her voice. Compa, at first when she saw me, looked surprised before trying to hold in her giggles. There was also this blue-haired woman behind her, who was also trying to hold back her giggles.

Huh? What are they giggling about? I thought while looking at her, confused. Is there something on my face?

Compa just cleared her throat to get rid of the giggling and smiled. "Are you okay, Sap-Sap?"

"Uhhhh… Yeah! Everything should be fine." I smiled and first lifted my arms, then my toes and lifted my feet up. "Yep! Everything is fine!"

"Um, Sap-Sap?" Compa looked at me really confused. "Why were you doing that?"

"To make sure I can move!" I then jumped off the bed while smiling brightly. "Yep! I can definitely stand up now!"

They both just giggled again, with me confused as to why. I really just don't understand what they're laughing about. Maybe it's a new joke Listoria made up? Probably not… since I'm pretty sure she tells jokes that just sounds dumb.

I then cleared my throat to get their attention. They seem to have stopped giggling for a little bit. "Either way, where's the others? Are they supposed to be here?"

"Well… um…" Compa then explained to me what happened. About what happened after I got knocked, how Peashy was a CPU and attacked the Basilicom, how the blue-haired woman named Mina was taking care of me, and how the others went after her. I was rather… surprised by this… Although I didn't know Peashy that much, I do know that she won't just attack without a reason… other than to tackle someone to the ground but… that just felt off to me…

"Do you know where they are now?" I asked Compa and Mina. They both turned to each other with worried looks on their faces then turned back to me.

"They're at Ordan Forest right now, where Peashy fled off to…" Mina told me while keeping a worried face on. "But are you sure you're going okay now? You just recovered from sickness and…"

"I'm fine!" I smiled as I scratched the back of my head. Then I bounced a little bit to let them see that I could totally move. "See? I can move just fine and…!"

And for the third time, they start giggling again. This time I was really confused and obviously really frustrated. Like seriously!? What the heck are they even laughing at?!

"Okay… that's it…" I glared at them with the most angriest face I could make. However, they never stop giggling and that is when I raised my voice on them. "HEY! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN LAUGHING AT!?"

That made them stop giggling and was placed with absolute shock and silence. Then Compa spoke up to break the silence. "Well… here, Sap-Sap…" She then lent me a hand mirror.

I then took a quick look at it and saw that there was something drawing on my face. I had a poorly drawn moustache and black circle around my left eye. On my forehead, there were words written on it that read out 'LONER.' At first, I was surprised by what I just saw. But then that surprise turned into anger.

"Compa… who did this?" I slowly said as I kept staring at the mirror. Though right at this moment, I was angrily shaking it. "I said who did this!?"

"If I might answer this…" Mina spoke up as she passed me a wet cloth to which I scrubbed it off. "It was Listoria who drew on your face…"

"Listoria… huh?" I muttered while my anger kept on growing. "Listoria… Damn you… You gonna pay… I'M GONNA MAKE EAT BELL PEPPERS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!"

And then, a light envelopes the room.

With the others… (Just around the time Sapphire woke up)

"Wait… hold on…" Centauri's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Kumori. Actually, most of them were actually surprised. "You were in leagues with this edgy lady and her band of misfits!"

"No…" Is all what Kumori said.

"Huh!?" Centauri looked at her with a confused look on his face. "What do you mean by 'no'?"

"Because…" Kumori just smiled weakly as she tried not to burst out laughing. "You forgot to add 'old' in 'edgy lady'. Maybe then it will be accurate."

Listoria's eyes widened as she looked at Arfoire. "You're right…! She really is an edgy grandma!"

"Old… edgy… grandma…!" Shift struggled to say while trying her very hardest not to laugh. "Why does that sound so… accurate…"

"I mean…" IF just looked at Arfoire before chuckling to herself. "She's not wrong…"

"Hey!" Arfoire exclaimed angrily while glaring at them. She seems to be really angry that people are calling her old (even though that is true). "Why are you ignoring the fact that the person who saved you was in leagues with me!?"

"So what?" Listoria said, looking at Arfoire with a smirk. "She did save us. And even though she is edgy, she's still a good person!"

"Though we must be careful around her…" Centauri told her, crossing his arms while doing so. "Even if it may be true…"

"Yeah… and you know, for being a troublemaker, you're kinda acting like a little kid…" Shift told her rather nicely, even though she is rather annoyed. "So how about you be a nice old lady and leave before you break a hip."

Kumori just smiled a little but not that much since she was still trying to ignore the pain. Though this made her pain worse.

"Hehe… whatever…" Arfoire said while smiling evilly. "Now puppet! Capture the CPUs! And kill the traitor while you're at it!"

"Rrrgh…" Yellow Heart growled as she charged at Shift again. Fortunately, Centauri was able to block it again.

"Mind control, huh? Very clever but it won't save you!" Centauri said to Arfoire before turning to the two other CPUs. "Listoria! Shift! Transform now!"

"Don't need to order me, Harem Master." Listoria smirked before transforming into Silver Heart. "Okay, let's finish this…"

And around the same time, Centauri also transformed into his HDD form or Olive Heart, if you really want to call it that. He then pushed back Yellow Heart and stood right next to Silver Heart.

"Sure, Listoria…" Olive Heart said before noticing what she said earlier. "Please stop with the harem master thing! It's pretty annoying!"

"Centauri! Now is not the time to comment on that!" Silver Heart told him rather coldly before turning to Shift. "Shift. Transform. Now!"

Shift just nodded and just as she was about to transform, they all heard a really angry voice yelling out of nowhere. When they all turned to see Sapphire, or rather her HDD form Cyan Heart. She was flying in like a mad bull with Compa trying to follow behind.

"LISTORIA! I SWEAR THAT I WILL MAKE YOU PAY WHAT YOU DID!"

Back to Sapphire's POV

Everyone looked at me with a bunch of shocked expressions. Compa, however, stopped to catch her breath after trying to chase after me. Even though they were surprised, I can't blame them since I was interrupting some sort of fight. Other than that, I was angry… no… furious at Listoria for drawing on my face. And instead of paying attention to the obvious blonde-haired CPU, I stopped at where Listoria or Silver Heart was while glaring at her. Though, she didn't flinch and instead stared back at me.

"Listoria…" Centauri or Olive Heart said while he just stared at her. "What did you do this time?"

"Oh, I'll tell you what she did this time!" I snapped him while still glaring at Silver Heart. "She drew on my face and wrote the words 'LONER' across my forehead!"

"But where's your evidence…?" Silver Heart asked rather calmly. "You can't accuse another CPU without it."

"Evidence? Oh I will give you evidence!" I fired back at her. "Mina was one who told me that you did it! Plus, you're the only person who would call me a loner!"

"Are you sure Mina was accusing me?" Silver Heart asked with a rather coldness to it. She seems to keep a straight face on. "Anyone could have done it. Even Mina herself since she has a lot of time watching you."

While we were arguing, Shift just stepped back while rubbing her head. "Yep… Not going to touch this argument." She muttered to herself.

I just ignore Shift, still looking at Silver Heart. Somehow, I could tell that she was lying to me. "I know that you're lying to me!" I told her accusingly. "I have no clue why but—!"

"Just focus, Sapphire!" Silver Heart interrupted me. "The enemy is right in front of us! We don't have time for this!"

"Yeah." Olive Heart agreed. "You ladies can finish that argument later after we beat the enemy!"

"Enemy?" I looked at the yellow-haired CPU. The yellow-haired CPU has a noticeable large chest size as well as glowing purple eyes. "Um, who's this?"

"That's the one I was talking about earlier." Compa spoke up after resting up. "That's Peashy."

"That's Peashy?" I looked at the CPU that I now know is Peashy. I then looked at a certain chest area and looked down at my own and let out a depressed sigh. "Huh…"

"Don't get depressed now! We need to save her!" Silver Heart yelled at me. She then turned to Shift with the most serious face I've seen. "Shift! Weren't you going to transform?"

"Yeah… Doing so right now!" Shift said as she looked at the yellow-haired CPU for a moment before she transformed. Her HDD form is around 17-18 with a body to match that is on par with the yellow-haired CPU. Her eyes are now a dark shade of pink, and she stands at 5'4. Her hair now reaches to the middle of her back and is a mix of crimson and navy blue and kept in a braided side ponytail a her ribbon is now larger and changed to be gold and silver with large diamond shaped silver hair clips as well as gains a metallic black choker necklace that has has gold accents with a gold hoop segment connecting to the rest of the outfit. She wears a black one piece that shows a bit of her cleavage covering most of her body except the middle of her chest [which is still enough to cover her upper chest] to her stomach and back area's, and matching colored fingerless arm length gloves, and knee length low heel boots. The accents on her left arm, left side of her outfit, and right leg glow a dark red while the right arm, right side of the outfit, and left leg glow a navy blue. She has two sets of black V shaped wing processors, the left side projecting out navy blue energy, and the right side projects out dark red energy.

Shift or now Dual Heart smiled with confidence. "CPU Dual Heart, Online!"
