Nathair1: Good to hear. I try to get my stories out in an orderly fashion and sometimes that bites me in the butt. Yeah, I know…I just don't like thinking about death and stuff for personal reasons.
Enjoy the next chapter.
Clara and Iruma sat in the main foyer of the mansion with Luna and Sol in their arms while Jack, Urara, Opera and Sullivan looked Iruma over. The four demons stepped back, and Sullivan hummed as he crossed his arms, "And you're sure they were your wings, grandson? You two weren't imagining the whole thing?"
"If we were then everyone at school was too…besides grandpa, Ali confirmed that my body is now demon…but the thing is…I was really angry, and Ali said it could be because I'm demon and don't know how to handle emotions an-"
"If I may, sir, what was the event that triggered you spreading your wings?" Opera inquired and everyone looked at the two.
Clara frowned as Iruma sighed and shook his head, "Clara was in danger. One of those demons was hurting her and I shot an arrow at the terrorist, forcing her to release Clara and that's when Clara's wings retracted, and she started falling and I ran towards her. I called on the Devil, God and even Derkila and that's when I felt a sharp pain in my back and flew towards Clara…and that's what happened,"
Alyssa hummed and Clara looked at her mother with a frown painted across her lips, "Mommy? Do you know what was wrong with Iruma-kins?"
"I might…what did the ring spirit say?"
She looked Iruma and Iruma sighed as he shook his head, "That becoming demon and seeing Clara in danger angered me to the point where I couldn't contain my emotions and I almost ordered Master and Professor Robin to kill the Six Fingers and Kirio when Clara stopped me,"
Clara faintly smiled and rubbed Iruma's back, "That's not entirely a lie," the two looked up at the demoness in confusion, "Whenever a demon sees their loved ones in a life or death situation, they will revert back to a basic state…not so much as devouring humans and destroying society, but just enough to where they will go as far as murder to keep their loved ones safe, but the problem is…many demons are afraid and will rather spend their life alone and those who have witnessed an event will grow fearful of the demon involved, almost to the point where they wish to never communicate with them ever again,"
"That's what happened," Clara snapped, standing up and causing Sol to cry in her arms before she gently rocked him in her arms and continued, "Iruma-kins wanted the bad demons to die and it sounded like he was mad too. I kissed him before he can use his arrow on them and I told him I'm happy he's a demon but if he's going to be a meanie then he should be human again…he had Professor Robin and Lady Pink shoot the bad demons in the legs before we walked away,"
"Then it's possible that that demon threatening Clara and your body becoming demon has altered your way of thinking, Master Iruma," Opera sighed, "If just for a minute, but in order to make sure nothing happens again, we should-" before anything else could be said, a knock at the door caught everyone's attention and they looked back to see Ameri and her parents stepping into the mansion.
Luna and Sol looked at the three visitors and their eyes widened as they babbled at Ameri, "Book…book,"
Ameri's parents looked at their only daughter in confusion as Ameri looked away and Clara and Iruma smiled down at the two, "You said your third word," Clara smiled, cooing down at Sol, "Mommy and daddy are so proud of you and your sister,"
The two babbled as Iruma smiled and shook his head, "Mommy's right, you two. We're proud of you an-"
"Iruma," Henri spoke and the engaged couple looked back in slight annoyance while their families looked at the guests, "We did some basic interrogation with the Six Fingers and that one, Miki, isn't as loyal as the others. She didn't give any names, but she swore that trying to capture the founder of the organization will prove difficult, but she will be willing to help if we grant her immunity,"
"And I'm hoping no one was stupid enough to take the deal," Iruma narrowed his eyes, "These are terrorists we're talking about. I'd sooner trust a dead rat,"
"Iruma, understand that this might be the best lead we have in order to get rid of these terrorists an-"
"Did anyone seem different ever since I came to the Netherworld?' Iruma arched a brow and stared at Henri in confusion, "Did anyone seem to be…different ever since I came to the Netherworld?"
The head of Demon Border Patrol sighed and as he crossed his arms, "None that I can…well…there was Baal," everyone looked at him as he scratched his chin, "He was the one who had told me about Lord Sullivan entering the human world illegally to obtain you, but at the time, I didn't think anything of it," he then looked at Iruma and narrowed his eyes, "Are you sure we can persuade you to return to the human world, Iru-"
"Couldn't even if I wanted to…I'm a demon now," Clara smiled as Ameri sighed and nodded and Iruma stretched out his wings before retracting them and narrowed his eyes, "Baal…Baal…have I met him?"
"You should have, Lord Sullivan elected you as a Demon King Candidate," Henri crossed his arms, "You, Lord Belliard's grandson Razberry and Lady Levi's grandson Leiji all met before meeting with the Thirteen Crowns," Iruma hummed and shook his head, "Think, Iruma. You were there,"
Everyone looked at Iruma"Baal…Baal…okay, I remember you, and grandpa and the other Greats, Asmodeus, Master was there…uh…was he the guy with the scary face and the spikey hair?"
"The scary face comment was unnecessary, but yes, that is Baal an-"
"Look into him," the adults stared at him in disbelief as Iruma sighed and shook his head, "I'm aware that he's a member of the Thirteen Crowns, but remember what I said, if these terrorists have been running around then that means that they have someone in the Crowns Committee working with them and if this Baal guy tried to get grandpa in trouble…it might as well be looked into,"
Rika sighed as she shook her head and crossed her arms, "No matter what anyone says, you're going to tell them to look into Baal, am I right?" Iruma hummed and nodded with narrowed eyes, "Okay…my husband and I will look into Baal to see if he was part of this organization or whatever," the adults turned and walked out of the mansion and Ameri looked at Clara and Iruma cooing at the children in their arms.
The tall redhaired demoness sighed and shook her head, "Those two almost gave away our reading sessions," the engaged couple shrugged their shoulders as they continued to pay attention to Luna and Sol, "Speaking of which, Iruma, you're a demon now," the two looked up and Iruma slowly nodded, "What does this mean for our reading sessions?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you're a demon and therefore won't be able to read First Love Memories anymore and I'll never know what happens in the end, would Reine an-"
"Slow down, Ameri," Iruma looked down at his daughter and took a deep breath, "Yeah, I'm a demon, but I should still be able to read to you and Clara," Clara smiled as Ameri pouted slightly, "Japanese is my native tongue, and even still, I was an assistant for the manga, so it wouldn't matter. I got to read it before most people and I remember the issues and the dialog, so it should be fine,"
"Right…and of course you'll want your friend there while we-"
"I'm his fiancée, Lady Redhair," Clara snapped, showing the stunned Ameri the ring Iruma had given her the night before, "Iruma-kins gave me this last night while we spent a night together and I said yes,"
Ameri narrowed her eyes as Iruma reached up and patted the top of Clara's head, "It's not polite to showoff like that, Clara," Clara moaned and pouted as Iruma sighed and looked up at Ameri as he shook his head, "Yeah, I proposed to Clara last night, and like she said, she said yes…and like I said, Ameri, I only saw you as a friend and I'm sorry,"
"I see," Ameri sighed and shook her head, "I want to wish you two nothing but the best and understand, Valac, if Iruma comes to me upset over something that you have done, then I promise you that-"
"Me and Iruma-kins won't hurt each other," Clara hissed before inhaling slowly, "You can come to the wedding. It's a few days after Iruma-kins turns sixteen," Iruma looked at his fiancée in confusion as Ameri hummed and nodded before she turned and walked out of the mansion.
Hearing the latch catch, Iruma shook his head, "So…why when I turn sixteen?"
"I asked mommy and daddy and they said we have to be sixteen to get married and I'm going to be sixteen in a few months and then you'll turn sixteen in October so…we'll get married a few days after that," Iruma sighed and nodded before the two of them turned their attention to Luna and Sol and slightly smiled.
Okay, I gave a few spoilers from the manga here. Clara's birthday is in May while Iruma's is in October and yes, those are the actual names of the other two grandsons. Enjoy.
