So caught up in you, little girl

And I never did suspect a thing

So caught up in you, little girl

That I never want to get myself free

And baby, it's true

You're the one

You caught me, taught me

How good it could be

-.38 Special

After closing the door behind Harper Sam let out a deep sigh and sat down on the couch. He leaned forward settling his elbows on his knees and rested his chin on his clasped hands. Thoughts whirled through his head.

What just happened?

Did I take it too far?

Did I take advantage of her?

Does she regret it?

Do I regret it?

With a frustrated growl, he stood up and paused as a knock sounded on the door. His heart accelerated hoping it was her behind the door but quickly returned to normal when he opened the door to reveal Dean's grinning face. Sam rolled his eyes and sighed, turning away and walking to the refrigerator as Dean walked in, closing the door behind him. Sam ignored him as he grabbed two beers and quickly opened them, chugging half of his before passing the other to Dean, who was still grinning at him knowingly.

"What?" He sat down on the couch, propping his feet up in the coffee table.

Dean's grin widened and he leaned down towards Sam. "You smell like sex."

Sam rolled his eyes, "I do not."

"So you're telling me that WASN'T Harper I just saw leaving here? At almost midnight?" Dean sat in the armchair across from the couch, resting his ankle on his knee and sipping his beer.

Sam sat up straight, a panicked look crossing his face.

"Did anyone else see her?"

"Relax, dude. I was the first one in. I helped her get out undetected."

Sam visibly relaxed. "Thanks."

Dean stared at him curiously. "So you going to tell me what happened?"

Sam sighed and ran his hands across his face. "It's complicated. She was having a hard time. The dance brought back some memories and she came to me for comfort."

Dean leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees. "And?"

"and….we kissed."

"And?" Dean prompted again, an eyebrow raised in amusement.

Sam glared at him. "We didn't have sex, Dean." He refused to tell Dean the other things that had happened in the very spot he was sitting not even 30 minutes ago.

"Okay. So what about this kiss has you in such a mood?"

"Seriously, Dean? Could it be the age difference? The fact that I'm her teacher? The illegality of it?..."

Sam trailed off as Dean held up his hand.

"I'm going to stop you right there. Do you regret it?"

Sam looked bewildered. "I…what?!"

"Do. You. Regret. It?"

"I…I don't know."

"Take my advice. Don't. Don't regret it."

"Why?"

"You know this life doesn't give us many things to look forward to. If we want any joy from it we have to live in the now. Talk to her, Sam. If she is okay with this and wants it, then no regrets. You deserve some sort of happiness in your life."

Sam swallowed thickly. It wasn't often that Dean said something so deep and truthful. All he could do was nod at him.

"Now if you are done with your melodrama. I have a beautiful woman waiting in my room." Dean stood up, swallowed the last of his beer and tossed the bottle into the trash can. Sam shook his head and leaned back.

"Tell Amara I said hey."

"Will do." Dean waved as he walked out of the front door, closing it softly behind him. With a sigh he stood up and tossed his empty beer bottle in the trash can as he walked into his room. He stripped down to his boxers and slipped into his bed, as he pulled the covers up his cell phone pinged.

He couldn't stop the grin from spreading across his face as Harper's name came across his screen.

Any Second Thoughts?

He took a deep breathe and texted back with no hesitation.

Never.

He waited to see if she would message back and when she didn't after a few minutes he set his phone down and settled under the covers. He was asleep within minutes.
