Rays of hope

Chapter 26th

Three months later with Amanda ready to give birth any day with their son to be born at any time. Lee had been a nervous wreck worried about missing the birth of his child. Especially when he's been sidelined from his job during the past few months with Billy keeping in a house with office work until they think he's ready to work on a case.

Amanda was home with Lee Jr. and her mother Dottie getting the house into order. Even though she wasn't able to do much with the baby dropping down soon.

She had her legs up on the grey long couch in the living room with the proceedings of the president's impeachment proceedings. The vote was about, to begin with, the entire group, while the Senate has already had the votes to impeach him along with eight with the congress. If this holds up with the voting.

The news had been on for the past few hours as the correspondents have been saying that the president didn't have the votes to save him as of last checked.

Amanda had the phone alongside her in case it happens. As Lee called from his office of IFF while Francine was on maternity leave as well, while Lt. Robert Baskins was out in the field working on a local case meeting up with a street source of his.

She hung up the phone to place it back into place while the voting began so far it's showing that all of the Democrats went for the impeachment, while there was a brief break. The news reporters came on to discuss the proceedings while talking to different senators in the corridors.

Meanwhile, Dottie came in with Lee Jr. being watched by the nanny upstairs. When all of a sudden her water broke on the couch as she cries out to her mother telling her to start up the car and my things.

"OMG! I will inform Madeline to have her to be taking care of Lee Jr. I think we have better inform Lee that he's going to be a father once again." Dottie said...

Lee Stetson was sitting in his office when he picked up the phone. "Lee Stetson of IFF how can I help you?"

"Lee it's Dottie. You need to get to the hospital it's Amanda, her water broke," she said with hanging up to continue on with her errands.

Lee had gotten up from the chair to rush out without not bothering to sign out. He was breathing her. When he rushed to the hospital.

And in the meantime, Amanda had arrived at the Washington, D.C. hospital with Doctor Angela Silvers waiting with Amanda's baby was in a rush to be born and very painful.

Moving Amanda into the birthing room in severe labor. Moments later Lee arrived catching his breath changing into a blue gown and cap along with gloves to protect himself. He was here and happy that Amanda finally was going to be having the baby.

SIX HOURS LATER...

It was now finally time for Amanda to deliver the baby after several hours of hard labor. "Amanda are you ready?" Doctor Silvers said.

"Come on Amanda push as hard as you, sweetie?" Lee cried out with his response.

"OMG I am trying!" she screamed out as the contractions were much worst.

"Okay bare down Amanda and push hard?" Doctor Sivers ordered with Lee helping to coax her with the pushing lifting her up as sweat was coming off her brow.

"Dear God!" she pushed hard as she was able to feel the head of the baby down to the opening.

"One more time Amanda the head is almost out?" she responded with checking her down below.

Amanda took in a deep breath by trying it again and this time she pushed so hard that she almost passed out with the head and the rest of his body arrived. She dropped down onto the birthing bed with Doctors Silvers and the rest of the team and Lee were thrilled hearing the cries of the baby.

"Amanda, you did it!" Lee cried out with tears. He watched the nurses clean up their son Thomas Lee Stetson weighing seven pounds eight ounces.

This was the best thing that had happened to them after what had happened to him in Syrian and his situation with his mental state.

While Amanda had gone to her room to rest and Lee to check out his son in the nursery. The TV was on in Amanda's room with the final vote was in the president of the united states has been impeached with the vote.

The next day...

Lee feeling better after a restful sleep. He met up with Billy Melrose at the hospital to visit Amanda and a file on the list of people having been arrested and charged with the President. This wasn't quite over with a few others that the authorities weren't able to find.

However, life was going to be somewhat better for Lee and Amanda along with his new baby.
