Chapter 26

Christmas

I woked up, feeling excited about today. Yes, it's christmas! I quickly put on my slipper and went to living room.

"Merry Christmas, uncle sev!" I said as soon as I saw him sitting on the couch.

"Merry Christmas, Ethan." I hugged him before going towards Christmas tree. A lots of present. Hehehe.

"Breakfast first." He said when I tried to take one of the present. I looked back at him and pouted. He stared at me with 'don't argue-with-me' look. I sighed and joined him in the kitchen. Wow! Bacons, toast, scramble eggs, waffles, sausages, blueberry pies, apple juice and coffee for him. I ate like a starving man. He scolded me to eat slowly and with manners. I smiled sheepishly and apologize at him.

After that, I sat under christmas tree while he sat on the couch near me. I opened my gifts. It seems Nott gave me 'Deadly Spells and Curses by John McCullen', Expensive scarf and silver knife from Zabini, 'Quidditch kits from Harry, "Deadly Plants by Reid Prey' from Longbottom and Variants of Muggle's Chocolate from Granger. My, my. How kind of you, Granger.

I saw Professor Snape got an expensive wine from Malfoy, Colourful Earmuffs from Dumbledore, expensive scarf from McGonagall and 'List of Curses by Danial Frank' from Flitwick and expensive chocolates from some slytherin's students.

"I can't wait to see you wearing that earmuffs." I said, laughing very hard. I kind imaging if the students saw him wearing that.

"I am not going to wear that. It's ridiculous." Professor Snape said, annoyed with the gift.

"Hehe." I went to my room and return to living room with a gift.

"This is from me. I hope it is ok with you." I said, giving him my gift. He seems surprised before it disappeared from his face.

"Thank you." I gave him expensive necklace that contains a little bit of my chakra so I will knew if he was in danger and can teleported to him. It also have protection from mild deadly curses. He looked shocked seeing my gift.

"It's feel powerful." He said and looked at me for explanation. I told him about protections except my chakra and that I can teleported to him. He put the gift down on table and hugged me.

He gave me a gift. When I opened it I felt that my eyes tearing up. He explained to me that it's a heirloom from Prince line. I thank him and hugged him tightly.

"Its mean a lot, uncle sev. Thank you."

"You're welcome, Ethan." I had a lot of fun playing the snow with Professor Snape. Hehe. I am glad he agreed to join even though he's bit reluctant at first. I cannot imaging the students expression when they saw that their scary Professor playing in the snow.

After that, both of us sitting in front of the fireplace, drinking hot milk for me while he drank his coffee.

"Thanks, uncle sev for an amazing morning." I said happily.

"You're welcome, Ethan. I should the one who said thank you for making my life better." I felt my cheeks growing red seeing him looking at me fondly. I felt quite touched that he really care about me as family. We talked for a while before I yawned.

"Sorry, uncle sev!" I smile sheepishly, rubbing my back neck. He ruffles my hair and told me to take a nap. I didn't protest because I also felt tired. I went to my room, leaving him alone.

After an hour, Professor Snape woke me up to eat lunch at Great Hall. I quickly wash my face and went with him.

"Hey, Harry!" I greeted him as soon as I saw him at Gryffindor table. I nodded towards Professor Snape and told him that I will sit with Harry.

"Very well." He said, clearly unhappy about it. I sighed. He should stop his hatred. Harry is not his father. I thought.

I filled my plate with roasted chicken, corn, salad, eggs and bacons.

"Where is Weasley?" I asked, not seeing Weasley. Curious. Usually, at this time, Weasley will stuff his mouth with food.

"Oh, he's sleeping." Harry answered, eating bacons.

"Oh" All I said. That's because I did not care at all. After lunch, I told Harry that I am quite tired and want to rest but in fact I went to Room of Requirements.

"It's been a long time since I practice." I mused and imaging that I need a place to practice. I entered and saw 3 dummy. First, I threw all the spells that I knew so far.

"Stupefy!" I shouted when Dummy1 tried to move towards me.

"Confringo! Reducto!" I pointed to Dummy2. I kept throwing the spells that I knew.

"Sectumpsemra! Expulso! Impedimenta!"

"Incendio!" I finally decided to finish it. All dummy got burn by fire. Huuh! Huuh! I took a deep breath. Sweat pouring from my head. I collapsed after 35 minutes practice non-stop.

What time is it?

"Tempus!" What?! 6:30 p.m. Shit! I hurriedly went to my room in Snape's quarters. When I arrived, Professor Snape were not here. I am glad. I saw a note in the table.

Dear Ethan,

Don't wait for me. I have things to do so you can summon house elf to have dinner.

I quicky shower and dress up in my pajama and went to the kitchen for dinner.

After that, I decided to not wait for Professor Snape and went to sleep.
