Look, I tried rewriting Ladybug. But few things:

1) I'm a teacher, my mom's a teacher, my grandfather's a teacher. We all agree what Miss Bustier did in the episode is something YOU CAN NOT DO. Geez exposing a student like that in front of everyone? F*ck that I ain't doing that shit.

2) That took away a ...lot

3) This chapter is short, I'm sorry, I was feeling a block coming, so I'm letting it go as it is, but that means I can focus on the grand finale

"What if I try skating?"

"Adrien, if you wanted to attempt every sport from every anime you watch it'd be a major disaster."

"You say that, and yet you enjoyed ice skating" Adrien huffed from his side of the couch.

"The heart attacks your father would have if you attempted skateboarding" Marinette poked his cheek "not worth the risk for now."

The past weeks had proven to be a major test of patience for both. Lila had become nothing if not a constant problem in their daily lives. One thing was to deal with her at school, where, despite Adrien and Marinette's warning, a big part of their class bought every single lie that came out of her mouth. Adrien was so glad to see Alya and Nino squinting with each thing Lila said but knew not to cause a ruckus right away because boy they all remembered the whole Chameleon akuma.

Which led to a new part of Marinette's board that maybe, just maybe she was in kahoots with Hawkmoth.

The theory that became a fact the moment Lila managed to not only sneak into Adrien's house but also somehow convinced his father to hire her as a model? All alarms and bells were ringing hard that day, with both on even higher alert now that Lila was practically trying to melt into their lives.

They didn't get to find out what she said to make Kagami akumatized again but they were oh so angry at the Italian that Master Fu actually made them use the horse miraculously to vent out their anger, in the middle of a field, somewhere in Spain.

That had been a fun escapade.

Now to tell everyone about their relationship was a definite no, not when Gabriel had a spy in the classroom and back to his over possessive tendencies. Not to mention Lila was trying to find any possible way to torment Marinette, even worse than Chloe.

A trip down the stairs? Oh, Marinette, how clumsy is she?

Did the project get lost? Poor Marinette, how could she forget?

And it would have worked for Lila, if it wasn't for Adrien catching Marinette before she hit the floor, or casually bringing a back up of her report in his bag 'because that's what good friends are for' or just staying by her side during a group hangouts because where else would he want to be?

"Ok, do we want to study for this exam or are we going to keep plotting how to outsmart your dad and Lila?" Marinette closed the video program "we indulged some anime, now we have to get serious."

"It's a mock exam princess" he smiled "you really think you need to study? You got this in the bag."

"Hm, yes, I think I do" Marinette pulled out her notes "because remember, we can't have dates if my grades are bad because a certain prince distracted me from my responsibilities."

Adrien smiled and sat closer to her to study. No matter how straining his life at the Agreste household was, he knew it was a whole opposite at Marinette's place. Ever since they started dating, he felt a different warmth whenever Tom or Sabine passed by, calling him 'son' or asking about his wellbeing, if he was eating enough, if he didn't feel overwhelmed with all his work and studies.

The two were well aware of Lila, mostly because Adrien convinced Marinette it was best to have adults on their side, and even if they couldn't really do anything about it at the moment, just to know they had that support was a huge weight off their shoulders.

It still didn't take away his more than usual awareness in his own house, hours later when he looked at the ceiling of his room.

His suspicions were right when, two days later, he noticed a smugness in Lila's face, as she had just done something to cause trouble that day. And he didn't like that one bit.

"Marinette, may I speak to you in private before class?" Miss Bustier said once she entered the classroom "with your things, please."

Adrien spared her a glance, but Marinette was just as confused as he was. She followed their teacher, who left them with some activity to work on and left them to themselves.

"What do you think this can be about?" Adrien turned to Alya, who just shrugged in response "it couldn't have been…"

He looked a little behind to where Lila was seated, noticing her frown and clenched fists. So, she had done something but whatever that was didn't work out as she intended to.

Meanwhile, Marinette could feel her anxiety picking up while she followed Miss Bustier to the principal's office. Had she done something wrong? Was she in trouble? Did she misplace something? Had she said something?

"Marinette," Miss Bustier turned to look at her, not angry nor upset, but her smile didn't reach her face "I didn't want to expose you in front of your classmates, but someone left an anonymous note on my desk that you took the answers of the exam."

Marinette felt her anger bubbling up.

"W-what? I'd never do that!" Marinette turned to her backpack to open it and prove it, only to see a crumpled paper inside it "b…but I-"

"May I see it?" Miss Bustier took it and smiled "ah, I see."

"W…what do you see?"

To her surprise, Miss Bustier just smiled even more.

"I found it strange that you of all people would cheat, it doesn't add up" she smoothed the paper "and you answered all your questions correctly if I must add."

"I did?"

"Yes, now," Miss Bustier showed her the paper "this is the answer sheet of exam form A, you got exam form C."

Marinette blinked. This couldn't be her luck. Someone (no doubt Lila) had tried to frame her, and didn't even check correctly how to do it?

"I just wanted to confirm with you, and to be honest with me, is there a reason someone would try to frame you for something like this?"

Marinette twisted the strap of her backpack. She did, she had someone. But would the teacher believe her? Lila was so damn good at keeping everyone under her thumb and she didn't really have proof on her to back her up.

Adrien's words about trusting the adults came back to her. Her parents believed her, her teacher didn't embarrass her in front of everyone, and believed her rather than accused her.

"W…well," she sighed, "I think yes Miss Bustier."

She spilled as much as she could about the recent situations with Lila, the tripping, the jabs, even way back to the bathroom threats. Miss Bustier listened to each word and kept her face calm, but Marinette could tell there was something happening inside her mind with the way her eyes looked. A part of her feared an akuma would show up but the coast was undoubtedly clear since there were no butterflies around.

"Thank you Marinette, we can go back to class now."

Marinette was close to elated as they moved back into the classroom, promising to tell Alya as soon as they got free time while giving Adrien a small reassuring smile that things were ok.

She could feel it though, she could feel Lila throwing daggers with her eyes from her seat.

The moment the lunch bell rang Adrien practically jumped out of his seat to be next to Marinette and escort her out of the classroom, with a fond glance from their friends, but without giving Lila a chance to get any closer.

"I'm up for the bistro around the corner," Adrien said once they were out of the school "we have to catch up and the least people around the better."

"Sunshine has a good point, besides those free breadsticks are to die for," Alya said, the two of them almost shielding Marinette on each side, with Nino walking a little behind as to be the rear guard. Marinette really appreciated their efforts, because she caught by the corner of her eye that Lila was fuming out of the school doors, not knowing they were already way far from her.

It was a relief, to tell them about what Miss Bustier said, about the attempt to frame her into cheating and how glad she was that it didn't happen in the classroom.

"I can imagine the giant size akuma caused from it" Nino said, holding Alya's hand before his girlfriend snapped another breadstick "but this just means one thing- "

"Lila is not going to stop until we put a stop on her first."

"And how, dare I ask, are we going to do that?"

Adrien smiled, the kind of smile Marinette knew as the 'Chat Noir has one wacky plan' and feared, just for a second, for Lila.

Two chapters (or three if I do an epilogue) left and I know which finale to choose.

Also I know s4 premiered

What the hell was that

Will I end up writing lukanette after this who knows
