So I am back after a brief hiatus. This chapter has taken a while to get going but this is a chapter I am very proud of. This chapter I will say in advance deals with some pretty serious topics. Not anything to get this rated M but not stuff that would be in association with say Dora. This chapter will be the reward the people who made the merge received while the comeback challenge was happening at the same time. So without further ado.

Chapter 23: Accepting Family Love

Dock of Shame/Recap

Chris was standing on the dock ready for the camera to pop up. "Last time on Total Drama Island… A letter from a guy at camp sent Gwen and Lindsay up in each other's business as both girls assumed the other one's boyfriend was breaking up with them and even though the letter was not for either one of them both their relationships hit a strain. Noah's jealousy of Duncan hit a new high when Noah provoked Duncan and got the two of them shoving out of an airplane, sending Noah deep into the Earth's crust when Duncan pushed Noah at the last second. Cody showed everybody how to hang on for dear life on the moose ride. Harold showed himself to be an ace flag-catcher, until Heather nearly sabotaged him and Cody told Heather to duck and Harold wiped out, while Sadie's attempts to sabotage Bridgette weren't successful at all. At the elimination ceremony though it was Geoff who got the boot causing , but not without breaking up with Bridgette as he suspected Bridgette held feelings for a certain geek. Now, the merge is upon us. In tonight's special 2 part episode our Final 10 get a special reward that will be interesting for some to say the least, and the previously twelve eliminated campers Ezekiel, Eva, Justin, Owen, Katie, Courtney, Izzy, Trent, Beth, DJ, Leshawna, and Geoff are all gonna be pushed to the limit for a second chance at the prize. Abandoned Black Room (Cody P.O.V)

I had woken up and saw I was in a different area then the cabins. In fact I was in an area that I never recognized at all. The room was pitch black sans a static TV screen in front of me and due to it being so dark I couldn't tell where the exit was and that was when Chris appeared on the screen.

"Attention Final 10, the teams are no more. Now today is the day where 2 of your former competitors will return to the game, however we decided it would be a shock for all of you guys so in the meantime we have a special reward for each of you so please put your attention to the screen each of you should have an important interactive video. The people you will be talking to are very special and these videos will go until the challenge is over. Also everything that will be said with the people will be kept secret from everyone else. None of you can hear each other as we split you off all over the island. Bye campers''. Soon the TV went pitch black but before I could contemplate what happened the screen turned back on into a gray screen that simply said "Accept Call?"

Not thinking of it I said yes and then the screen went to static but only for a second and that was when I saw them.

Meanwhile (Not from Cody P.O.V)

Heather's Lone Room

Heather was not in a happy mood. She didn't get a great night's sleep on account of sleeping in very mediocre beds. She had woken up in a dark room and was pissed off at Chris for this even if she was safe she wanted to relax today. All of that changed when she saw the TV screen and accepted the call on the screen and saw her mother.

"Mom oh my gosh it's you!" Heather said in shock as her mom was sitting on the couch of their home smiling ear to ear.

"Hi sweetie! How are you?." Heather's mom said.

"Better now that I am seeing you right now, this is a great surprise. But where's Dad?" Heather asked, concerned about her father's whereabouts..

"Oh you know your father, he wanted to be here, but he is as busy as ever. You know with work and all the stuff." Heather's mom said looking down. "Trust me, I am annoyed too. But let's not talk about your father, let's talk about you Heather. How have you done in the game? How far have you made it?"

"Well I made it to the Final 10 but soon two people are coming back, and it is nerve wracking mom. My back is against the wall and I've been barely surviving for a while now." Heather said, sounding scared.

"Honey, don't worry. You have your father's determination. I know you'll be fine. Just keep trying honey." Heather's mom said reassuringly.

"Thanks, mom. Also thank you for giving me the chance to do this and allowing me to come here. None of this would have been possible without you" Heather happily said.

"Oh of course Heather. I knew how much this meant to you to join the show. Um does anyone there know about your father." Heather's mom asked.

"No. No one does, you know mom I'd be targeted in a second if I told anyone. But I am starting to feel happy again for the first time in a long time." Heather said.

Confessional- Heather

"See my mom is my best friend. She and I do all types of stuff together. Shopping, makeovers, manicures, the whole thing. As for my father he is never around in my life but I'd rather not get into why. My mother has made me the woman I am today. She taught me from a young age to always fight until the very end for what you want in life, she was the one who encouraged me to try out for the show and honestly I can't thank her enough. I know I can come across as cold but seeing my mom there just reminded me how far I made it and reminded me why I came here."

Harold's Lone Room

Harold was happy to have made the merge, but he only survived the previous night due to Geoff sacrificing himself in the game. He was still on the bottom of the team and besides Cody and somewhat Noah he had no relationship with anyone on the other team. But all of that nervous energy Harold was emanating went away when the TV screen went from Chris to the last person he would ever see on his screen. He saw his grandfather and grandma on their old couch.

"Hi Harold! How are you sweetie?" they both asked.

"What are you guys doing here? I oh my GOSH wow!" Harold said shocked.

"The Total Drama people called us last night and are giving everyone a chance to speak with someone back home and they wanted us to talk to you." his grandma said/

"How are mom and dad doing?" Harold asked.

"They are doing fine but look at you, Harold. You have made it so far and everyone back home is so proud of you."

"Thanks. How much of the season have you guys seen?"

"The first few episodes right until you won the Dodgeball challenge. We are just so happy for you." his grandma said.

Harold's grandfather asked his grandson "Have any other chance to show off your skills?"

"Doing the best I can Grandpa. I am just shocked I made it this far." Harold said looking down.

"Is something wrong baby" Harold's grandma said.

"Well see my closest ally just left a few days ago and I am running real short on allies." Harold said looking down. "Which is another thing, I may have fallen in love. Heh, she's great. I know Mom and Dad along with you guys would love her." Harold said blushing at the thought of his now girlfriend Leshawna.

"Awe, oh my gosh, our little boy Harold is in love. we are so happy for you. We'll make sure to tell your parents tonight" his grandparents said as Harold and his family kept discussing more stuff for a couple hours.

Confessional- Harold

"My family means the world for me. They have always been there for me. See growing up, my parents and I were close but we had different ideas for me growing up. My Dad is a construction worker, and my mother is a preschool teacher and vice principal at the school. They are both amazing and I love them so much but it was my grandparents who made me the person you see before your eyes. See my grandfather was the nerdy type growing up, he loved ancient history, science, and grew up to be a very successful philosopher and due to my parents always being busy with their jobs I would always go to grandparents and my grandpa always gave me the encouragement I needed in life to pursue what I always wanted. They told me to go on the show and the whole family has my back and will be proud of me no matter what."

Tyler's Abandoned Room

"Oh boy this is gonna be so cool, accept call!" Tyler said as the TV changed and to his shock was his aunt on his mothers side.

"Hey athletic boy, did you really think you'd let this slip by me." Tyler's aunt laughed.

"Oh shit. Hey Aunt Linda how, how are things?" Tyler asked.

"Good, the show called me last night after your father wouldn't pick up and told me about the show and how you made it to the individual portion of the show." she told him.

"Oh right figures Dad still wants nothing to do with me" Tyler scoffed sounding annoyed at the mere mention of his father's name.

Confessional- Tyler

"See I don't have the greatest home life. I was raised in a poor neighborhood barely making it by week after week. But growing up my biggest saving grace was my mom. I had a great mother who loved me dearly and encouraged me to follow my dreams as she helped me with sports and made me into a shockingly good cook. We were thicker than thieves (sniffs) Unfortunately 6 months ago she died due to a car accident on the way home from work and that was when my life changed for the worse. Because even though my father is alive he's dead to me too. After she died he became super depressed and shut himself out from the world, the next 4 months he would lose his temper at me and always tell me how much of a failure I truly was due to my clumsy nature. A couple months ago, I gathered my belongings and went to live with my Aunt Linda on my moms side. I haven't spoken a word to my father ever since and I have no intention of changing it and I imagine he doesn't either."

Back to Tyler's Abandoned Room

"Anyways sweetie how are you doing?" Tyler's aunt asked.

"I've been better. This game I signed up for has been super stressful. Everyone scheming at every turn, no one you can trust, I guess I have been kind of used to that huh." Tyler laughed about it.

"Ty, there's something else on your mind, what is it?" his aunt asked as he could tell his nephew wasn't being completely honest.

"Well like I said the game is super stressful. There's this girl here and we have really hit it off."

"Aw, Tyler that's great. What's so bad about it."

"It's a long story, you've got time?" Tyler asked.

"Ty you know I am off during the summer for my job right? Take as long as you need"

"Oh yeah, well. One of my friends here was dating this girl here, however he wanted to break up with her and I gave him advice."

"Tyler you didn't?" Tyler nodded at his aunt's question. "What happened afterwards."

"Well the girl that I liked found out about it. She was very upset with me and is now assuming I'd do the same to her. This game is just so stressful." Tyler moaned, one look at the athletic jock and you could tell the stress of the game was eating away at him as he looked sleepless and his hair was all messy the closer his aunt saw his nephew's disheveled appearance.

"You really care for this girl don't you, Ty."

"Aunt Linda I love her. She is so nice, hot, and caring. Yet I blew it and last night she didn't even acknowledge me. She is the first girl I have ever truly cared for in a while."

"That's not good. Look Ty, if you love this girl show her you care for her and love her. Women like to be treated like they are everything to their man. I know that's how your mom felt up until a couple years ago." Tyler's aunt said quickly realizing she said too much.

"What was that?" Tyler asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Nothing, nothing."

"Oh okay." Tyler said not wanting to push his aunt any farther.

Confessional- Tyler

"The reason why this game has been so emotional for me is that well, there have been three people I ever loved, my Mom who is now gone. My father who treated me like garbage for almost all of my life, and most of all my ex girlfriend Jessica. She is the girl that I broke up writing a letter to, and the more I think about Lindsay the more I realize the way I broke up with Jessica was wrong. The stress of my mother's death and how my father was treating me caused me to coward out and break up with her in a letter. I came to this game to make a life for myself and to show my father he messed with the wrong guy. But I had no clue the game would be this stressful. I need to show Lindsay I am committed to her as she has made me truly smile for the first time in a long while. I can only hope she gives me another chance. A second chance I probably don't deserve."

Lindsay's Abandoned Room

Lindsay was confused about what was going on. She was confused on why she was in a room completely dark and by herself. Lindsay would have been scared up until she accepted a call on a TV and saw the one person she could always rely on and trust and that is her sister Paula.

"Paula oh my gosh what are you doing? You're on the TV Screen!" Lindsay yelled out.

"Everyone who made the merge got a video message home and since Mom and Dad are celebrating their anniversary today I am the only one here at home."

"Oh wow, how long do we have together, Paula?" Lindsay asked.

"Until the return challenge is over Lindsay." Paula told her sister.

Confessional- Lindsay

"Paula is my older sister. She has always been there for me whenever I need any help as she is much smarter than I am and is so nice. She's strong, smart and everything I wanna be. I can't thank Chip enough for getting this chance to speak to her."

Back to Lindsay's Dark Room

Paula had updated Lindsay on her life, that she was dating a guy at college and it was going great and that their parents recently renewed their vows.

"Aw, that's so great. Make sure to tell Mom and Dad, I am happy for them."

"How has the game been treating you Lindsay? I remember you telling me you signed up for this show to prove yourself and how has that gone?" Paula asked, however Paula asking that unknowingly to her set her younger sister off.

"It's…. it's not good Paula. I have just been doing horrible in the challenges. I am always either the first one to drop off or I screw up. I gave food poisoning to a teammate, made the host choke on some burnt food, and dropped one of my best friends accidentally in a pool of jellyfish." Lindsay cried out, sounding close to tears.

"Lindsay, Lindsay calm down girl. It's okay you made it to the merge, you should be proud of yourself." Paula told her sister. Lindsay however was still feeling insecure.

"It's not just the challenges. It's a guy." Lindsay confessed.

"Ooh Lindsay's in love" Paula said before Lindsay shook her head, "You're not in love?"

"Paula, I don't know. I don't know if I love him and even if I do love him, I don't think he wants me." Lindsay confessed to her older sister.

"What do you mean? Why did he do something to upset you"

"He told me yesterday that he broke up with a girl by writing a letter and when I told him if he'd do that to me he hesitated." Lindsay told her sister.

"Look Lindsay, it's clear you care for him. If he cares for you, he'll show you. For now just let things take their course. I am sure you'll figure out what to do sooner than later. Trust me."

"Thanks Paula!"

Gwen's Abandoned Room

Gwen was annoyed. She was falling for Noah but lately his attitude in regards to Duncan had pissed her off. There was a part of Gwen that wanted to break things off with Noah before it got too serious as she saw that her interacting with Duncan was causing Noah a great amount of stress and she felt horrible for causing it but she knew Duncan would keep interacting with her even if she told him to back off which would further get Noah enraged and if the last challenge was any indication Noah was gonna get in serious hurt sooner than later.

But that wasn't the only thing on Gwen's mind, she still held reservations for officially starting this relationship even if Noah wasn't acting like an asswipe to Duncan.

See back at Gwen's hometown Gwen is oftentimes judged for her appearance and despite Gwen's rough sarcastic attitude on the front. But see all that is just that, a front. Gwen always had a desire to at least be respected by her peers. Gwen never admitted it to anyone but she had a desire to at least be respected back in her hometown. She always had a front to her that she was a no nonsense, sarcastic person who kept to themselves, but the want to at least be respected was always something that was inside of her. As the screen came too she saw her younger brother on the screen. For the whole time she and her brother talked Gwen decided not to talk about the game or anything going on in the game as she knew her brother wouldn't be much help since he is younger than she is.

Confessional- Gwen

"Maybe I should have said something. But I need to figure this out on my own. Duncan is just a friend, and I need to convince Noah to somehow lay off of him before he does something he regrets. I like Noah. I really do, but I don't want to do anything I will regret. I don't want to put my family under any more stress than they are already facing."

Noah's Abandoned Room

Noah had luckily recovered from his injuries but he was in no mood to talk with pretty much anyone. His kind of girlfriend Gwen in his eyes was talking to an asshole in Duncan and from Noah's perspective it felt like she was falling for him and that he was losing her. What was annoying as well that his best friend Cody wasn't taking his side with this whole ordeal and seemed annoyed at him. Noah in his mind was doing nothing wrong and it felt like the world around him ws turning against him. Noah was already annoyed since at home he had no one at home he could talk to about this as his mother and father never gave out relationship advice while his brothers and sisters are always busy with sports. Then the TV came back from static and showed the one sibling Noah could talk to and that was his older sister Natalie. Natlie had long brown hair, was wearing a green cheerleader outfit and had a smile on her face seeing her younger brother. Natlie was only a year older than Noah and despite being a cheerleader she and Noah could get along since they were so close in age.

"Hey Noah, how are you?" Natalie asked.

"I'm fine." Noah said but his sister could easily tell her little brother was lying.

"Noah come on you and I both know you're not fine. You're acting the same way you acted when Mom and Dad tried to convince you to join the basketball team in Middle School and you told them to leave me alone and you spent 4 days in your bedroom not talking to anyone. What's wrong?" Natalie said.

"Nothing's wrong Natalie. Nothing. Why are you even here?" Noah asked incredulously

"Well the show called last night and everyone's out of town for a sports tournament for Dad and I faked being sick to get out of it yesterday as I was gonna have my boyfriend over tonight, and the show called and told me that since you made the merge everyone gets a video message from home." Natalie told Noah.

"Ugh. Your boyfriend Drew? Why are you still with him?"" Noah asked annoyed at his sister,

"Because he is hot and we have a lot in common. What Noah are you seeing someone too so you can now judge Drew and I's relationship? What gives you the right to question whether I should be with him?"

"Because I am a good judge of character. Yeah I'm seeing someone. She's great. Mom and Dad would judge her harshly though and ban me from seeing her." Noah told his sister who looked at him confused.

"What's she like?" Natalie asked.

"Cool, sarcastic, great sense of humor, and promise me you won't tell anyone including mom and dad." Natalie nodded. "Gwen is kind of a goth." Noah told his sister reluctantly.

"Oh no that's bad. You remember the last time you told Mom and Dad you hung out with someone goth." Natalie told her brother concerned.

"Yeah. Victoria. I still remember her." Noah said, sounding reminiscent.

Flashback

A 13 year old Noah is approaching his house with a girl. This girl had bright green hair similar to Duncan's mohawk and her hair went down to her shoulders.

Noah complained "I can't believe Mrs Smith thought this was a good assignment. Spend a day in the life of a classmate."
The girl instantly said as they walked up to the door of Noah's house "What you don't want Victoria here to learn the life of Noah? Come on Noah you need to lighten up."

"It's not just that Victoria. My parents are pretty much nothing like me. I mean we get along but we are nothing alike"

"Well that should make this assignment so much fun." Victoria smirked, hinting for Noah to let them go inside .

Noah then opened the door to find his parents watching a Baseball game on TV. "Hi Mom, hi Dad." Noah flatly told his parents.

"Hi Noah. How was school?" Noah's mom asked.

"It was fine. Actually Mom, Dad I have someone I'd like for you guys to meet. We have this assignment today where we were assigned a partner and we have to spend a day in the life of our partners which reminds me tomorrow I won't be home." Noah told his folks.

"Who's your partner?" Noah's dad asked.

"Mom and Dad meet Victoria. Victoria these are my parents." Noah said, introducing them.

"Hi, it's really nice to meet you." Victoria said, putting her hand out to greet the couple.

"Noah can we speak to you alone." Noah's mom said.

"Oh okay. Victoria just make yourself comfortable." Noah told her.

Soon both Noah's parents and Noah went to his parents bedroom. Before Noah could say a word his father slammed the door shut and behind closed doors shocking Noah.

"Dad what was that for?" Noah asked, annoyed.

"Why would you let some person who looks like she belongs to a Satanic cult join our house." Noah's mom asked incredulously.

"Mom it's just for a school assignment after tomorrow you won't see her again." Noah tried to explain.

"I don't care what it's for, that she-demon needs to be gone right away or so help me god-" Noah's Dad said.

"What's your guy's problem? Victoria is a friendly person once you get to know her. Trust me. She and I have a few classes together and we have really begun hitting it off. She's actually kind of cute-" Noah said before realizing what he was saying was making his parents more angry

"We don't care. She looks like someone the lord would hate so please let her leave." Noah's Mom said as Noah nodded his head as he understood.

Noah then clearly pissed off walked back in the living room to inform Victoria that she had to go but Victoria was already gone.

Back to Present

Natalie looked at Noah sadly on the screen, "Yeah you invited a girl to your house. Mom and Dad assumed she was a Satan worshiper due to her appearance, and the next day Victoria reported to the principal that you had a terrible home life and you had to deny everything to the school so the police wouldn't get involved."

"Yeah and now I met a girl similar to Victoria except she's even better." Noah happily said thinking of Gwen. "Promise you won't tell Mom or Dad?"

"I won't I promise. But you better be ready to face the music when you do introduce her." Natalie said solemnly.

"I will. She's great. If mom and dad don't accept her then that's there problem." Noah said happily.

"So once again why do you think Drew is such a shitty boyfriend?" Natalie asked as she and Noah spent the next hour discussing Natalie's relationship with her boyfriend.

Duncan's Abandoned Room

Duncan just sat on the ground of his dark room trying to find a wall to carve a skull in the dark. That was when the TV went from static to show a blue screen. Duncan turned his head and then saw a note on the TV screen that appeared while he wasn't paying attention.

"Hey Duncan. The reward today for those that made the merge was a video call home. Unfortunately Duncan, we reached out to everyone in your family and unfortunately no one picked up the call. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

"Just fucking great!" Duncan grumbled. Duncan went back to carving a skull but soon a tear fell from his eye.

Confessional- Duncan

"This game has been utter hell for me day in and day out. Everyone I would consider a friend has been taken out of the game whether it be Courtney, DJ or Geoff. I feel all alone in this game. I have had to fight for everything in life with no real meaningful support and I can't give up now. I know that even if I get the money my parents will never take me back but after experiencing juvie and being at my lowest I just want a happy life and this is what the show was supposed to do but so far I have been miserable. I really hope this merge can work itself out for me. Here's hoping."

Sadie's Abandoned Room

Sadie just sat in her room waiting for the TV to return from the static. She was so happy to have made it to the merge, however her ugly side was beginning to take hold of her. The longer she was away from Katie, the more her competitive, vengeful, and cutthroat side was coming out. She wasn't sure how to feel about this at all. But Sadie had a determination in her eyes to win as she sat down and thought of why she wanted to win the game so badly.

See back home in her hometown. Sadie had Katie and her family in her hometown but she has always had two main issues in life. Her weight and her temper. Sadie growing up had always been on the heavy side from a very young age. No matter how much she ever tried to exercise or eat healthy nothing ever changed for Sadie. Her inability to lose weight, from such a young age cause Sadie's temper and anger issues to build up in life. Katie was the only one from a young age who could calm Sadie down. However when Katie is not there, Sadie's anger comes out the more she is torn apart from her BFF. In 7th grade when Katie was sick with the flu and had a very nasty case of it she was out for a week. Katie being absent raised Sadie's temper tenfold and she ended up getting suspended from Middle School when she and another girl got in a fight when the other girl thought Sadie was looking at her boyfriend and Sadie despite being heavy set was stronger than the other girl and shoved her face first into a glass display case. Sadie was lucky that the school only suspended her for a week and just to be on the safe side the school told Katie's parents to leave her home to calm Sadie down.

Unfortunately adding to the rage was Sadie's screen like Duncan's read the following:

"Hey Sadie. The reward today for those that made the merge was a video call home. Unfortunately Sadie, we reached out to everyone in your family and unfortunately no one picked up the call. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Sadie just looked on at shock that her parents didn't care enough to answer her back in her mind. In reality both her parents were busy with a trip they planned in advance and since Sadie was with Katie they didn't think anything was wrong with their daughter when in reality she was losing her mind slowly but surely and dipping further into insanity without any support system to keep her grounded.

Confessional- Sadie

"I am really all alone out here. The fact my folks weren't there to see me just reminded how alone I am in this game. People have always underestimated me and looked at me as a joke. That changes with this merge. I am gonna show everyone in my life they messed with the wrong bitch. You take away my support system and I won't hesitate to be a total bitch to everyone. I will be the one holding the money at the end of the competition. Mark my words.

Bridgette's Abandoned Room

Bridgette felt crushed internally, the guy she crushed on and thought she loved in Geoff had broken up with her. She was happy she made the merge and made it so far but it all felt hollow since Geoff was no longer there and she didn't know what the future held in store yet again a feeling she was pretty much numb too. After accepting the call though, Bridgette was shocked to see who was on the screen. While the people weren't family in terms of blood sense they were still family in Bridgette's eyes. Sitting on a couch on the TV screen were two males. One had curly brown hair on his head, a red polo shirt and light blue jeans and looked no older than 22 and the guy had orange hair in a crew cut and had a goofy grin on his face with his white shirt and black dress pants.

Confessional- Bridgette

"I guess I should explain why those 2 guys appeared on the screen and not anyone from my family. The truth is I don't know anyone from my family, I never knew my parents. All I know is that they had me when they were barely out of high school and both knew they were not ready to raise a kid. So they left me at an orphanage and I trust they wanted me to have a good life with a wonderful family. For 13 years, I met many wonderful families and I wanted any one of them. The problem was that they didn't want me, whether it be due to me surfing which parents always looked down on in where the orphanage was located, my overly kind nature to people that everyone assumed was fake, or the fact that I had serious issues of feeling alone. Eventually around the age of 14 I was the oldest one at the orphanage and while the younger kids were nice and they were all great to hang out with, I knew deep down that no one was gonna adopt me after 13 years of failures. So I took what little I could and headed out, if the world wanted me to be alone I would embrace it despite everything telling me not too. After a week of living by myself on the streets which I quickly realized I was in over my head. I met these two guys, Adam and Larry about 2 years ago. They were roommates in an apartment in downtown Toronto on the other side, both 20 years old and while everyone ignored me for that week I was by myself. They stopped and said hello. I told them my story and they took me in and helped me get into a public school where I quickly adapted and became head of the grade in terms of athletics and school."

Back to Bridgette's Room

"Well hello there stranger" Adam greeted Bridgette.

"What are you guys doing here? Wow!" Bridgette exclaimed.

"How're things going Bridgette?" Larry asked.

"I….. I don't know. I was seeing this great guy and last night he broke my heart. I felt crushed. I felt alone again." Bridgette began to cry.

"Don't cry, don't cry." Adam reassured his friend.

"It's just I thought maybe I loved him and the reason why he broke up with me still has my head spinning." Bridgettte said, trying to hold back anymore tears.

"Why did he break up with you?" Larry asked Bridgette

"Well he told me I like this other guy who is my best friend around here." Bridgette said.

"Do you know how you feel about this other guy?" Adam asked Bridgette. "What's he like?"

"Oh this other guy? Cody is his name and he is kind of great. He always encourages me, makes me feel happy when I'm down and always tells me to do what is best for me. He also sees the good in people. But I don't see him in a romantic light." Bridgette explained to the guys.

Adam and Larry both had the look that they knew Bridgette was lying to herself but they didn't want to upset her given her state of mind since Geoff broke up with her. "Well tell you what, why don't you see how these next few weeks go with this Cody guy. He seems great and even if he and you are just friends. He sounds great enough that he can help you with this breakup. Speaking of which, do you want a little pick me up right now that will make you better?" Adam said.

"Oh my gosh is he here?" Bridgette asked, sounding excited.

"Of course he's here. Where else would he be? Let me go get him!" Adam excitedly claimed.

Confessional- Bridgette

"If it wasn't for them, in my gut I know I would not be alive today. I owe so much to these two great men who had no business to help a stranger off the street but did so out of the kindness of their hearts. Thing is they didn't just save me."

Back to Bridgette's Abandoned Room

Adam had begun to come back on screen and with Adam was a dog that looked like a couple of years old and looked excited as it plopped down on the couch in between Adam and Larry.

"Bucky! Oh my gosh he has gotten so big!" Bridgette said so excited she couldn't help but smile.

Larry told Bridgette "He's missed you every single day. He loves his uncles Adam and Larry but he misses his pet mom Bridgette."

"I miss you too Bucky!" Bridgette said.

Confessional- Bridgette

"See during the week I was on the street the one good thing that came from that week of abandonment and loneliness was him. I found him as a newborn abandoned in a dumpster and helped heal him back to health. He is why I am here in this game as I want the money to make him happy. I knew taking care of a puppy was gonna be difficult but the last thing I wanted to do was to leave him alone like I was. Bucky deserved a family and so did I. Now for Adam and Larry they wanted me to find a guy to date as they are soon going to go study abroad after this show in Europe and they told me I was ready to go out there in the world and find a guy. It's one of the reasons I wanted to be with Geoff for so long. He seemed like a match made in heaven for me. I am never gonna give up in this game, but I don't know now, who is meant for me?"

Cody's Abandoned Room (Back to Cody P.O.V)

Sitting on my family couch was my parents, my Mom and Dad. Along with them was the girl I was supposed to marry in an arranged marriage before I left as her name is Lisa. She's a girl with black long hair and a dimple face but was in fancy clothing. One look at my parents and I could tell this was gonna be an awkward and long conversation. My only hope was that it didn't end poorly.

"Cody!" my Mom said sternly.

"Yes, yes mom" I said, stuttering.

"Your father and I now realized that this whole Total Drama thing was not a joke and we have some things we wanted to say to you and we will only say it once so listen up," my mom told me and to say I was frightened was an understatement. She had a way of striking fear in people. One time at a restaurant a waitress got her diet coke instead of regular coca cola and she attacked the waitress for getting the order wrong and my Dad and I had to pull her off before she ended up getting hurt as the waitress was much physically stronger.

"What is it you want to say Mom?" I asked.

"We just wanted to say we're sorry."

"Huh. You guys are sorry? How….. how come?"

My Dad began to explain "Well the day you left for this show we panicked when we realized our only son was missing. We contacted the local authorities and for a week you were reported missing in town here, but then we saw the first episode of this Total Drama thing and we were relieved to see you were okay but more importantly we saw that you were having a great time with all these people and it seemed like for the first time in your life you were happy again. Your mom and I did some serious self reflection and we realized just how terrible of parents we have been to you. We knew nothing about our only son and didn't realize how unhappy you were."

"Oh okay. I am sorry I never told you guys anything." I told my parents.

"No Cody we are sorry. Which brings us to our next point. We wanted to say the arranged marriage is well off and Lisa here is willing to let it go as well. Also if you don't want to inherit the family business we won't hold it against you. Cody we are just sorry that we have been awful parents. Losing you that week not knowing where you were scared us and made your mom and I realize that we need you in our life and that you are getting more independent and that we shouldn't have forced something you never wanted in the first place. If you can't forgive us we understand but we just want you to know that we love you."

"Mom, Dad I love you too. To be honest I don't know what my plan is in life. I know in my gut it's not doing the family business but I do love you both. I am sorry I went behind your backs and did this show.

My Mom then spoke up, "Cody, how has the show been for you. Have you made any friends? What's it like?"

"It's fine. It takes some getting used to." I said as my parents and I just talked for a couple hours. As we talked I wondered what caused my parents this time to be so forgiving and loving.

Confessional- Cody

"The fact that my parents apologized to me shocks me to my core but it means the world to me. I never looked highly on my parents growing up but the fact they were so forgiving and wanted me to be happy meant so much to me. I couldn't bring up the stuff with Bridgette or my friendship with Noah but the fact that they aren't going to try and impose their life on me makes me feel so much happier. The only question is what do I want in life? That I don't know."

My parents and I talked until the TV screen went static right when we were done and Chris was on the screen.

"Attention Final 10, you will soon be going back to a dozen everyone may now exit their rooms and head straight over to the Mess Hall where you guys will see the two people joining you this merge." Chris announced and sure enough I was outside of my room in the woods and headed back to the Mess Hall with everyone right behind me, no one said a word as we walked silently to the Mess Hall awaiting who was to return and how it would affect us moving forward.

So this chapter I wanted to delve into the background of each character. No character in this alternative universe will have a perfect life. For some of these characters we have only scratched the surface of their lives, including main characters even Cody as their is stuff about Cody I have kept secret that will be revealed at a later date.

Anyways the next chapter will be the first and only chapter to actually not feature Cody as it will be the comeback challenge where we will see which two former players eliminated will re-enter the game as they will partake in the Brunch of Disgustingness.

If you can, please, please, please, leave a review any feedback is welcoming for me and I will take any advice. This story has been so much fun to write and I hope everyone reading this enjoys it.
