Sorry this morning was crazy.
Thank you for the favorites and follows, please feel free to leave a review. In this chapter and some of those that follow there will be times when Randy will be talking out loud to someone and then switch to talking to Atlantis or herself. At those times (when she's talking to herself/Atlantis/the Ancients who used to live there) I will underline it so you understand that she went form talking to another physical person to talking to herself/Atlantis ext.
CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
As I was waiting for John, Ronan and Rodney to find Teyla, Doctor Weir and Doctor Beckett and bring them down to the bio lab as well I pulled out a pencil and began to make a list of rules for myself to follow.
"Randy?" John's voice called out from behind me so I turned around but continued writing down my last thought before looking up at them seriously.
"Thanks for coming Teyla, Doctor Weir, Doc Beckett. I don't know if they told you but I am telepathic now. Don't worry though, thanks to my other set of memories I managed to make a mental shield so I'm keeping my head out of everyone else's however I have no idea what other abilities may pop up so I've put together a short list of rules for myself that I'm hoping y'all can help me with." I said diving straight in because I didn't want to get distracted by the various things I needed to do around Atlantis.
"Alright what's the first rule?" Doctor Weir asked, crossing her arms as she put her full attention on me.
"First rule is I shouldn't be alone. Not because I mind it but because the multiple sets of thoughts going through my brain within a single second can pull me in many different directions and if I'm not focused one one thought at a time something really bad could happen. So I was hoping it could be one of you six with me at all times when I'm working but I understand that's not going to be possible so whoever will be with me will get a piece of paper with one project on it and at random times they will ask me about it therefore keeping me focused on the one task." I said crossing the first rule out on the paper as I read it aloud.
"Okay that makes sense. Why don't we continue this conversation in my office?" Doctor Weir said starting to turn around and I held up a hand to stop her.
"Because of the second thing, Doctor Beckett as a medical doctor I want you to work here with me as I work on separating the Wraith DNA and try to figure out how to cause a certain reaction in it. Because while I have access to all of the information here in Atlantis databases and I have the memories of a 3,877 year old Ancient in my head I don't necessarily have the physical knowledge to understand what I know means. On Earth I never went to college for anything all the languages I learned were either from private tutors or simply from being self teaching while being immersed in the culture of those particular people. You have the knowledge to understand the reason behind everything that I'm doing and I want you to make sure that I'm doing everything properly." I said turning my attention to Doctor Beckett as I crossed off the second rule I had made for myself.
"That I can do lass." Doctor Beckett replied sounding surprised but pleased that I had asked him.
"Great thanks Doc. I was actually hoping that you might be able to help me complete the uncompleted formulas because while I know how to do it I don't understand what any of it means its like knowing the answers to a test but having never read the questions. Oh! And another thing when the Wraith attack I don't believe we should use the puddle jumpers for several reasons which I'll get to later but for now I propose that we simply use a little mechanical engineering on the transport carts because they can actually fly in the air or move in the water all on their own as long as you put in preprogrammed instructions and they can change their outward color which I could tweak to make them camouflaged so the Wraith wouldn't be able to see them and since they wouldn't have any life on them the Wraith scanners wouldn't pick them up. Oh! And speaking of defense against the Wraith I was hoping to put up mental shields in the heads of everyone here on Atlantis although I'm by no means an expert in telepathic communications I have learned that the Wraith are as well and they can use it to make others see things that aren't really there. Now I do want to-wait so the Wraith are actually Ancients who were experimented on and experimented on themselves trying to find a way to have immortality and then several generations later the Wraith turned around and experimented on normal people to try and make them easier to feed on? What kind of sick twisted Cretans were Ancients?! I mean how scared of death do you have to be to fuse your DNA with that of the Iratus bug. I mean that is a disgusting looking creature in it's own right and- Oh and this isn't one of my rules but Doctor Weir there used to be a long line of defensive satellites that the Lanteans used to destroy over half of the Wraith hive ships that attacked it 10,000 years ago although to my knowledge there seems to be only one left and it's not in working order I was thinking there is time to fix it so it will work but we have to do that right away because the ride to there is going to be several hours and there's no telling how much fixing up it will need...what?" I asked seeing everyone was giving me an odd look.
