Sakura saw Naruto and a blonde woman enter Sasuke's plain room in the hospital with stained expressions. He was still in coma, and Sakura came to check on him. She didn't know who this woman was, but she looked really pretty, and when she put her hand on her teammate's head, and she saw the glowing green healing chakra, it became clear
Sakura saw Sasuke's eyes slowly open, and her first instinct was to jump him, if he is okay, and then scold him for being so reckless, but she held back, when seeing his expression, almost crying. She didn't know how to support him, she didn't even know why would he attack an Akatsuki member out of nowhere?
"Sasuke! How could you be so stupid?" screamed Naruto from behind her, and when she looked in his direction, she saw tears dropping off of his cheeks. The blonde was shaking, and she just took a hold of his tight fist, to bring him closer, to sit in her seat, next to Sasuke, while she walked out, signaling to the lady to follow her.
When they were on the hallway, and the door closed behind, the blonde woman let out a deep sigh, and smiled at her, mischievously.
For some reason she felt embarrassed, and just thanked her, for bringing Sasuke back. After a short bow, she run out of the hospital, tightly holding her medal with the half jade jain bird.
Gaara was on a rooftop, when the sun went down, facing the east gate, which was in the direction of Konoha. Temari and Kankuro already started to do the paperwork's that are normally assigned to the Kazekage.
His sister recently told him, about what Xiaoying said at the lunch with her, and how she didn't know about many things that she supposedly did.
This was only another clue that what she said was true, they were lied to, and he had a good guess by whom, but he was already dead. The Shukaku demanded more blood from him, but to know that that's what his father wanted from him as well, he couldn't oblige, not after seeing her scared face again.
There was a sudden breeze in the air, lifting up his short locks, and he held the half jian bird in his hand even tighter.
Sakura entered the chamber.
She heard that blonde woman will be the next Hokage, so her parents shortly will be judged by her. This was her last time, to question them, about everything, about their reasons, to give her an explanation.
The room was darkly lid, and the air somehow felt dry but at the same time had the unmistakable smell of mold. The two persons behind the bars were tied to the walls, and seemed dirty, and weak, oh so weak.
Sakura cleared her throat, and nodded to the guard, who was leaving behind the closed door.
At first she had trouble finding her words, seeing her parents in a state like this, where they didn't even seemed to recognize her, or notice her presence, so she cleared her throat again and finally spoke
"It's me, Sakura" she said, while fighting down her feeling of weirdness to talk in Nihongo to them, she should have gotten used to it by now.
Her mom pulled up her head fast, and she saw the realization in the same green eyes, her dad only shifted a bit.
"Sakura!" said her mom in a higher tone, and tried to move her arms, without results. "Did you talk with the Hokage for us?" she asked, hope in her voice, and Sakura almost felt bad for not pleading for their lives, almost.
"No" she said, trying her voice to sound more cold than usual "I came for some answers"
"But-"
"Why did you separate us?" she asked, almost with a scream
"Separate?" gave his first word her dad "We protected you. He is a monster." he said, and Sakura felt the itch in her hand to slap him, the bars stood between them.
"What did you do to him?" she felt her nails digging into her skin in her fists
"We just helped Rasa" said her mom
"What. Did. You. Do?" her words were slow, threatening, and she saw her mom shiver to it
"He needed to let you go" her dad's words sounded unsure "He needed to realize his own only usefulness, which was to kill by command." he said, and Sakura's hand went up in the air, but the bars still stood as a barrier. While letting down her trembling hand, she felt a tear run down on her face.
"What were those reports of me?"
"Just to help with the break off" said her dad, his hair falling damply into his features "We could not let you try to run away again" he said
"Exactly! We were so worried! You were alone in the desert!" her mom screamed
"I wasn't alone, I was with him" she said
"It was truly lucky you didn't got hurt" said her dad
"Actually I did" to this both of her parents lifted up their heads in line with her, with shock written all over
"What?" screamed her dad the first time
"But he helped heal me, he is not a monster!" she shouted at them, but they only looked at each other
"How did he heal you!" demanded her mother, and she almost felt like a little girl again
"He just...he said animals lick their wounds, and he did with mine, and it healed" she said, feeling slightly flushed at the memory
Her parents' only expressed a sense of horror, which she couldn't pinpoint the reason to
"It's over then?" whispered her mother, and they both started screaming, demanding to be killed, and guards rushed in, to put something in their mouths, before they bite down their tongue and die.
Sakura fell to the ground, and almost couldn't recognize them anymore, their eyes were crazy
She didn't know how much time has passed, but when they calmed, the guard signaled to her to wrap up, and go. She only nodded, and pulled together her strength to ask one final thing.
"Why did you wanted me to forget?" she asked, still shaking, her voice resembling the little girl, who was given the new name of Sakura
Her parents' mouth cloths were removed to answer, but if they tried anything, the guards were ready.
"It's already over" whimpered her dad, with steaming tears "You can go to the death town, for all I care" he said, and Sakura almost stopped breathing
