Author''s Note: I bring you the final chapter. It actually snuck up on me faster than I expected. Usually, what think ends up being the last chapter ends up being 2-3 last chapters. I was thinking I had at least two chapters left. But this ended up being it. I'll be honest ended feels a little corny or fluffy or something, but I'm rolling with it. Thank you for reading this little story. Definitely a different change of pace, but a good change of pace. The next story in Kellie's universe is "Dark Nights" and the first few chapters have a already been posted in. Have a great weekend!

Tru Tone

Kellie sat at a table talking to Loretta, Sebastian, and Patton as Pride played the piano on stage. Gibbs hung out in the back, keeping an eye on things. Ethan, Percy and LaSalle were also around.

Pride finished his number and left the stage. The band continued to play.

Pride took a chair next to Kellie, "I told you we'd keep you awake."

"This is a lot better than Johnny asking me if I'm awake every 10 minutes," Kellie said.

"Sometime when you're not chasing bad guys, you'll have to come back to NOLA for fun," Pride said.

"And drinks that have actual alcohol in in them," Patton replied.

"One shot sipped very slowly," Kellie started to say when Loretta glared at her, "I'll follow the doctor's orders."

"Thinking about it," Pride said, "I think you owe me a pair of hand cuffs."

"Actually Marcus Devouxe owes you a pair of handcuffs," Kellie said, causing the group to laugh, "He was wearing them last."

"Slinger, you should join us on the dance floor," Ethan said, approaching them.

"You're doing just fine out there on your own, Dodge," Kellie replied.

"I told Tyler we were out at a Jazz Bar, sent him some video," Ethan said, "Wishes he were here. Told me you should have fun, enjoy some dancing for him."

Kellie looked skeptically at him. Ethan showed Kellie the text messages from Tyler.

"You know you want to," Ethan said, "LaSalle and Percy are out there too."

"Any one bothers you…," Pride said.

"I'll handle it," Kellie said, standing up.

Ethan grabbed Kellie's hand, "Come on, luv."

Gibbs stood at the end of the bar watching Ethan and Kellie do some basic swing dance moves. At some point, LaSalle and Ethan switched and Ethan was dancing with Percy and Kellie was with LaSalle.

"Agent Gibbs," Lorenzo said.

"Lorenzo Alcazar," Gibbs said, "Your niece is on the dance floor with one of our agents. Her guard crashed at Agent Pride's house."

Lorenzo looked until he saw LaSalle and Ethan switch the girls again.

"It's nice to see her have some fun," Lorenzo said, "It's been awhile."

Gibbs looked at Lorenzo, "She mentioned something about a stem cell transplant and chemo."

"Her husband was diagnosed with Leukemia," Lorenzo said, "It's only been in the last few months that they've been breathe since they declared he was in remission."

"Hopefully it stays that way," Gibbs said, "I'm surprised she would have spent the kind of time she did on this case."

"Tyler knew who she was when he married her," Lorenzo said, "He knows she needs to have an adventure every once in awhile."

"Even ones where she tries to ditch her guards," Gibbs replied.

"We'll have a discussion about that," Lorenzo said.

"Good luck," Gibbs said, "She was asking me questions about Manuel Rivera and whether him going to prison was enough to stop him."

"Considering revenge is involved, probably not," Lorenzo said.

"Will she be able to let it go?" Gibbs asked.

"She will," Lorenzo replied, "So will you."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Gibbs asked.

"Rumor has it Rivera ran afoul of another country's laws," Lorenzo said, "Looks like they'll get first crack at him now that they know where he is. He won't bothering anyone."

"What's your source?" Gibbs asked.

"Your people in D.C. are confirming it now," Lorenzo said.

"For someone who's been out of the family business," Gibbs said, "It feels like some old habits might die hard."

"I won't lie," Lorenzo said, "Sometimes it's tempting. Though I would imagine you might understand."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Gibbs asked.

Lorenzo didn't respond right away, letting the question hang in the air.

"Pedro Hernandez," Lorenzo said, "None of my business though."

"What's none of your business, Uncle Lo?" Kellie asked, joining them as she finished responded to a text message.

"Something that's none of your business either," Lorenzo said, hugging Kellie.

"Gibbs?" Kellie asked.

Gibbs just shrugged. Kellie gave both of them a look of annoyance.

"As much as I'm happy to see you, Uncle Lo," Kellie said, "You didn't have to make the trip all the way out. Johnny and I could caught have the plane back by ourselves."

"Nice try," Lorenzo replied, "We'll be discussing the amount of radio silence you convinced Johnny to provide us with."

"Rule #3. Never be unreachable," Gibbs said before Kellie could reply.

"So about these rules," Kellie asked, "You have a whole list of them? Why?"

"They come in handy," Gibbs said.

"Where do they come from?" Kellie asked.

"Anyone ever tell you that you ask a lot of questions, Corinthos?" Gibbs said.

"My husband told me you asked questions about my preferences for hospital food when called to tell him I was in the hospital," Kellie replied.

"Seemed like the right to do," Gibbs said, "You did rescue Tali."

"So you're admitting Tony was right to ask for my assistance," Kellie said.

"I didn't say that," Gibbs replied as Pride approached.

"Some of the team's getting ready to call it a night, Kellie," Pride said, "But we have to toast the end of this case. Gibbs and Kellie's uncle I take it. I'm NCIS Agent Pride. You can call me, King, though."

Pride and Kellie prodded Lorenzo and Gibbs to join the rest of the group.

Once everyone had their drinks, the band was on a break.

"Alright, King," Gibbs said, "Your bar, your toast."

"I can only imagine the kind of toast you'd give, Leroy," King said, raising his glass. Everyone else followed suit except Ethan. He was drinking from his glass.

"Dodge," Kellie said, getting his attention as everyone staring at him.

"Oops, sorry," Ethan said, raising his glass.

"To successfully wrapping up a case, reuniting a little girl with her father, taking down a bad guy operation, unlikely alliances and new friends," King said.

"Cheers," several voices said as they all clinked their glasses and drank.

At the end of the night, as they scattered, Gibbs caught Kellie at the door before she left.

"I'm only going to say this once, Corinthos," Gibbs said quietly, so only Kellie could hear, "If you ever say I said it, I'll deny it. But you did good, kid."
