I'm sitting alone in me hut.
It's summertime so I don't have as much ter do an can relax o bit.
As I sit and I relax, I hear a knock on me door.
"Who's there?" I ask.
"Harry Potter," answers the voice on the other side.
I go open the door ter let Harry in,
"Hi, Hagrid, " says Harry warmly, "May I come in?"
"Make yerself at home, " I say happily.
Harry comes in and takes a seat.
"Hagrid, I have news, " says Harry seriously.
"Let's hear it, " I say eagerly, somehow sensing that the news would be good news.
"I am going to have a fourth child, a second daughter, " Harry says matter of factly.
"Congratulations!" I tell Harry, excited for him.
"She's due in a couple of weeks, " explains Harry, "And while I haven't yet chosen a middle name for her, I have selected her first name."
"What will her first name be then?" I inquire.
"I've named all my children after people who played important roles in my life, someway or somehow, " says Harry meaningfully, "You are one of those people."
I sense my eyes starting to water. Am I hearing what I think I'm hearing?...
"I can't name a girl Rubeus, but, I tell you what I'll do, I will name my fourth child and second daughter, "Ruby" as a tribute to you, Rubeus, " says Harry emotionally.
My heart skips a few beats.
"Really?" I say weakly
"You deserve it, " says Harry firmly, "You were my first ever friend and first ever father figure. You were the one who introduced me to the Wizarding World."
Now, I feel my insides quickly warm to the point of glowing listening to what Harry is saying.
"You remember?" I say gratefully.
"How could I not?" pipes up Harry.
That says everything about Harry's character.
"Plenty of people take things fer granted and forget things, " I say softly, "I respect that you remember those who helped you along the way."
"That's what this naming is all about, " says Harry proudly, "Honoring and paying tribute to the fact that you were one of those people."
"I am deeply touched, Harry, " I say with tears of emotion leaking down my face, "It means the world to me that you acknowledge me by naming one of your children to honor me."
"Absolutely, " says Harry in a crystal clear voice, "And, Ruby is a really beautiful name into the bargain."
"A very beautiful name, " I agree, "Have you told anyone else yet?"
"No!" says Harry firmly, "I will be informing Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Luna, and Hannah of this decision later this week in a meeting at the Leaky Cauldron. But, I wanted you to be the first to know. "
"Thanks, Harry, " I say sincerely, "That means a lot ter me. But, how soon do you think you'll know the middle name?"
"I'd like to choose it in the few days, " answers Harry briskly, "I want to be able to give the full announcement to Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville. Luna, and Hannah when I inform them later this week."
"That makes sense, " I reply, "Good luck, and thank you for honoring me by naming yer daughter Ruby. Ye've got great sense of appreciating important people in you life and I respect that. Good luck with Ruby. I bet yeh can't wait ter hold her."
"Ruby!" says Harry proudly as we exchange smiles.
