xXwolfsterXx644: Thank you kindly for your support!
Harbinger27: Soon! Oh better yet, now!
Annoying POW marine: Huh, never read 'The King and I' (by Deckenpuppel). Just saw three others mentioned before but never that. I should check it later. Yeah, I don't like that the fic is only centered on SR3 and/or SR4, best to come with it at the beginning. Thanks for liking Kate, it was difficult to come with a name (you know that it is easy to give body build and that but names... yuck, it took too long for me to come up). And as for the WR being the last one, well, the Carnales and the Vice Kings were well-known gangs before the WR rose up so I preferred leaving them as last. And you know that there is more to it as I added the Enforcer. You might know where he comes from or the relationship but I hope you love the end of it.
Epifanio Therion: Yup, you know it! While the Westside Rollerz isn't the strongest gang of the Stilwater, they are good at driving than the LC and VK. I came up with the 'Hit and Run' tactic while watching 'Total War' on Youtube. Weaken your enemies before overtaking them. Eh, something like that. I've never been good at weakening, I'm more aggressive like Dong Zhuo of 'Total War Three Kingdoms': Take what I want when I want... I guess I'm more like Maero... Anyways, I appreciate that you like it this far, and I'll tell you now that it is going to be better!
CHAPTER 26
SR: Westside Rollerz Part II
(Stilwater – Suburbs District – Misty Lane – Westside Rollerz's Territory)
We were on our way to the club that Lin wanted us to meet but she wanted one of us entering and getting the briefing as it would be strange if the two of us enter just to listen to Lin, so Kate decided that I should be the one listening what she needed while she waited with her car.
-Westside Rollerz: Samson's Surprise – Turning on the Heat-
Once I entered the club, I was welcomed by the music and people dancing. I looked around to find Lin but it seemed that she was the one who found me.
She walked toward me, grabbed my hand, and guided me to the dance floor. "Try not to look so conspicuous."
I scoffed good-naturally. "I'll try."
She rolled her eyes but eventually, we started slow dancing. "You two did good, but I'm not through with you two yet. Those cars you stole have been rigged to blow once the engine reaches a high enough temperature. I need you to make sure those cars get nice and hot. There's a race going down in Chinatown tonight, and I think you should give them some tough competition. I know these guys. If you're in the lead for the final stretch, they're gonna hit the nitrous to blow past you. When they do, boom. As soon as those cars are wrecked, get the hell outta there. You're no good to us dead."
I smiled at her. "I'm happy that you care." I joked.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Well, don't get used to it. Thanks for the dance. Now hurry up, you got a race to win."
I nodded and walked out of the club. Never knew that Lin cared or maybe she was putting a tough front. Eh, I'll get to know her better once we finish the WR.
-o-
Once outside, I noticed that Troy arrived with the customized Zircon and talking with Kate... as her car was nowhere to be found.
"Uh..." I drawled out while looking around. "Where is your car?"
"I had one of our gang members take it back to Mission Beach." She answered. "Troy wanted me to go back but I wanted to race so there was a lucky Saint walking here and told him that he should return safely with my car or else he would know the consequences." She smiled beatifically.
"I... see..." I sweatdropped on how dark she sounded despite her smile.
"Anyway, what did Lin say?" She asked.
"Eh, we have to participate in the race, have them use their engines to the extreme which eventually they'll die in an explosion. They're a competitive people so if we taunt a little, they'll bite." I explained simply.
"Neat!" Kate beamed.
Troy sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Alright, let's get on with it. Shall we?"
We got inside the Zircon with Kate in the driver seat, me on the co-pilot seat, and Troy sat behind.
"Look, I don't care what Lin says, you get me next to those cars and I'll take care of the Rollerz, to hell with this lap-race bullshit." Troy huffed in irritation. I guess Troy ain't a fan of races.
"Relax, Troy. I'm a master of the steering wheel." Kate snickered.
Kate then started to drive to Chinatown. I thought that it would be in the Suburbs like before but I was wrong and Kate was driving toward Chinatown.
"I don't like the idea of Lin going undercover, you roll with people long enough and pretty soon you start thinkin' like 'em..." Troy pointed out. I noted that it was ironic that since he's undercover, he was like pointing out his own role. I don't know if Troy is good or stupid at being one.
Well, Kate hadn't yet found out about Troy being undercover. I only think that Dex is starting to suspect but he hadn't yet said anything.
"You worry too much, Troy. Lin is a Saint and she will always be a Saint to us." Kate said confidently.
"Yeah, that's what has me worried..." Troy grumbled.
I shook my head and we continued getting toward Chinatown. It didn't last long as we tumbled on the WR members with the modified cars Samson had prepared.
(A/N: For those that are wondering, I'm putting the Level 5 Westside Rollerz Racing Activity instead of Level 8 as normal. Just to remind you all, the race starts from this track: Sommerset (Start) – Chinatown (End))
"Alright, there they are..." Troy said, looking at the three sole vehicles with their drivers. "I hope Lin followed up on her end of the deal..."
We looked at the three WR members talking among themselves while keeping their vehicles close.
They seemed to notice us and grinned in challenge thinking that they could win against us. I mean, if I recall it right, the WR members are mostly teenagers that know how to drive but lacks on shooting than the Vice Kings' and Carnales'. They did know how to shoot but we were lucky.
Waiting for the race, Kate grinned as she held tightly the steering wheel. I looked back to see that Troy wasn't sure of how it was going to be but put on the seatbelt for safety.
Me? Well, I trust my girlfriend's driving skills so there was no need for me to be crazy. I mean, I've been on the passenger seat many times with her and she hadn't been driving in a psychotic way so I wasn't worried.
A woman stood on the starting line of fire, raising her hand in preparation. "Alright drivers, keep your motors up and be ready for a fucking race!"
"What a mouthful woman..." Troy commented flatly.
Unknown to what he said, the woman continued. "3...!"
Engines began roaring out...
"2...!"
The drivers tightened their grips...
"1...!"
Pipes began smoking out...
"GO!"
On cue, every car began shooting from their position to forward.
"Holy shit!" Troy cried out as he was holding on to his seat in panic.
"Woohoo! Fuck yeah!" Kate bellowed out as she spans the steering wheel to the right.
"Hahaha! Nice start!" I cackled madly.
While we continued, I think that Troy managed to recover enough to point out the first car. "Get us next to that fucker..."
Kate did as was told and drove next to the idiot that was about to die.
"Come on, I thought you Rollerz knew how to race!" Troy began taunting.
And as the 'nice' guy I was, I joined him. "Yeah, I think that you are all bark and no bite!"
"You're outta your league, kid!" Troy shouted. "Go back to the Suburbs, you prep school muthafucka!"
That did seem to work as I noted that the driver was fuming angrily as he passed by us with a mad grin.
"Eat my dust, suckers!" The WR driver said as his car pushed forward with his NOS (Nitrous Oxide) which eventually...
BOOM!
...Died in an explosion.
"That didn't look fun..." Troy commented flatly. "Alright, get to the next one."
Kate drove forward, passing the destroyed car, and getting to our next target. Kate drove around where the apartments were and we managed to find the second WR car that we were about to taunt to death.
"Hey, get me close to that chump." Troy requested.
Kate nodded quietly as she then got close to the car and we were looking at the driver to the side.
"Oh, come on, you can do better than that..." Troy taunted. "If I knew racing you chumps was this easy, I woulda took your slip months ago..."
"Yeah, you have no chance against us." I chuckled.
Kate proceeded on passing the car and eventually making the driver mad.
"Nobody taunts and walks away from the Rollerz!"
We could hear the nitrous roaring alive and the car passing by us.
"See ya at the finish line, bitch!"
BOOM!
I scoffed. "Well, he did finish a line."
"The kid needed thicker skin." Troy deadpanned, looking at the scorching vehicle. "Whatever, let's get to the last one and get the hell outta here."
The last car had managed to reach Chinatown while we kept playing with the other two. We could see that the last WR was starting to pass the bridge that connected to Chinatown so Kate accelerated the car and reach the driver.
But that didn't worry Kate as she professionally drove through the streets of Chinatown and managed to reach the last WR car.
"Whoa, be careful, girl. I don't want to be picked up from pieces when you crash on something." Troy warned fearfully.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, stop bitching around, Troy. I'm concentrating." Kate dismissed him, her eyes focusing on the street.
The car in front of us was faster than the other two behind. The driver seemed to know what he was doing but we knew exactly that it was just a teenager that knew how to drive better.
We managed to get next to him and we began doing our work.
"Be sure to have your slip ready..." Troy said.
"Or better yet, getting ready to lose your car from 'chumps' like us." I cackled. "I don't think that even a kid would use that pathetic car even if you begged."
"Don't even bother trying to catch up!" Kate said lastly and drove faster than the other, leaving him behind.
"Your dead meat!"
We lastly heard the NOS roaring out, passing by us, and the driver immaturely flipped us over the window.
"See you at the line, chump!"
BOOM!
We could have said something but that wasn't needed as Kate stopped in front of the destroyed vehicle. We continued watching the scorching vehicle in silence before Troy broke it.
"Lin doesn't fuck around, does she?" Troy hummed.
"Nope."
"Nuh-huh."
Another pause as the sound of fire and the night seemed to feel welcoming.
"Well, we're finished here. We gotta get back to the Row..." Troy said wearily.
With a nod, Kate drove us back to the Saint's Row leaving the dead drivers in their scorching vehicles.
(Stilwater – Saint's Row District – Mission Beach – 3rd Street Saints' Territory)
We arrived at the church safely from the Westside Rollerz's territory. While I didn't do much rather than taunting the Rollerz, I had a great time with Kate... well, if Troy wasn't here, of course.
Kate's car was right next to the church and hopefully didn't have any damage on it or else whoever took Kate's car back would know the 'consequences' Kate mentioned before.
"Good work, all we can do now is sit tight and wait for Lin..." Troy said as he got off the car. "I'm going to get a Freckle Bitch's, you wanna join?"
"Fuck yeah." Kate replied as she followed behind.
We didn't get far as Julius came from the church and noticed us. "There you are. I was looking for you two, Playas."
We stopped and looked at Julius in confusion. "What do you need, Boss?" I asked curiously.
"Lin found a storage garage where the Rollerz stash some of their high-performance cars. Whaddya say we find out how good their insurance is?" Julius said.
Kate and I grinned in synch before I looked at Troy. "We'll get that Freckle Bitch's next time. We have more vehicles to destroy." I told him.
"Well, I had my share of booms and taunts..." Troy shrugged indifferently. "Take care."
"You know where it is?" Kate asked.
"It's around Pleasant View, take some of our guys and make those WR cry." Julius ordered.
"You got it."
Kate and I got inside her car while the four we recently recruited, luckily that they were people that we recognized from before: Cassandra (from Chapter 16), Denzel, Joseph, and Star (from Chapter 19), to our stronghold raid got into the Zircon we used before.
(Stilwater – Arena District – Pleasant View – Westside Rollerz's Territory)
-Westside Rollerz's Stronghold: Pleasant View Storage-
We arrived and saw that the place had many warehouses for cars. Different from Dock & Warehouses as that district is much bigger, and I thought, maybe I should keep my cars here. But then again, this place was going to be taken over by another gang in the future.
Maybe I should keep my primary objective on making a private warehouse for my cars and Kate's.
"We're here." Kate said, bringing me out of my thoughts, and holding her Tombstone with few Hand Grenades.
"Well..." I span my Platinum T3K Urban between my fingers and grabbed tightly on the grip. "It's time for more booms."
We got off our vehicles and looked forward to the warehouse. I could see some of the Westside Rollerz patrolling and protecting the stronghold from anybody that dared to attack them. Well, they now have a surprise that will make them remember.
"What should we do, Lee?" Kate asked as the rest of the gang joined us.
"Right, I want you to take two members and hit them from the other side." I said. "My role with two others is to distract them while your group sneaks around and shoot them from behind before they realize that we're doing a pincer attack. So, who will join me?"
Surprisingly, Denzel and Joseph decided to join me while Cassandra and Star went with Kate.
"Aight, dude power!" Denzel rumbled in eagerness, his finger twitchy on his K6 Krukov's trigger. "We're gonna show those WR bitches how the Saints are!"
"Keep your voice down, man. We don't want those idiots to know that." Joseph groaned, placing his 12 Gauge shotgun on his shoulder.
"Ugh, man. What should we expect from them?" Cassandra or Cassie huffed in irritation, her K6-Krukov on her hands.
"Well, what did you expect?" Star giggled, checking her T3K Urban's magazine before returning to its place. "We should be also eager about this, Cassie."
Cassie scoffed. "Tche, oh yeah? Nah, the last time I had an eager partner, he almost died."
She may be meant about Jeffrey. I wonder how he is. He was mostly suicidal back when we took one of the Vice Kings' strongholds but I hope he had worked on that.
"Well, whatever, we'll show those boys how women deal with those pricks." Cassie smirked, chewing bubblegum.
"Good luck." Kate said before taking her two teammates to the other side of the stronghold.
I looked back at my teammates with an eager grin. "Shall we start?"
They shared the sentiment, well, Denzel did as Joseph simply nodded, and we got into the stronghold.
There wasn't any guard at the entrance but we knew better. As soon as we stepped inside, we were going to be welcomed by the WR and they'll start shooting at us.
I took left while Denzel took right. I then looked at Joseph while I threw a Hand Grenade, with the pin on it, to him. "Yo, take this and throw it to that stored car in front of us."
And by that, I meant that one of the high-performance cars that the WR had happened to be placed just at the entrance with the door open. I don't know if that's their habits or part of them being cocky and showing their stuff.
Joseph nodded, receiving the Hand Grenade with dexterity, and threw it nicely to the car after taking the pin off the grenade which then, we waited for the explosion...
BOOM!
"Wow! That was freakin' cool!" Denzel cackled as he ducked away from the bullet the WRs were shooting at him.
"Keep it up, we need to make it noisier for the others to prepare." I told them as I blindly shot at the WR from my cover.
We continued shooting our way to the stronghold in search of more of those high-performance cars.
Let me tell you, despite that the WR shoot like shit; there were more of them like I expected. I mean, I knew that the WR had recruited more as they were the last major gang in Stilwater. Still, I should really expect this night to end and get to bed.
"Agh, goddamit!"
Denzel's cries of pain brought my attention to him as he was clutching painfully his shoulder.
"You okay, man?" Joseph asked as he then replaced him and shot at the WR with his 12 Gauge Shotgun.
"Yeah, I'm fuckin' peachy!" Denzel hissed. "But that's aight, it's just a scratch. I'll show them how not to fuck with the Saints!"
"Don't make a mistake, Denzel." I warned him as I ducked from the bullets. "We have yet to celebrate our victory against the Rollerz; we wouldn't want you to be in a body bag."
"Aight, I got it."
The next minutes had been quite successful for us. While fighting the Rollerz, Kate and her group managed to sneak around and destroy a few high-performance cars which shocked them at our reinforcement.
They tried to go to where Kate was, but we didn't let them. We managed to shoot some of the WR on the back but few managed to go to the other side. I hope that Kate knows that a few reinforcements are coming to them.
But at the end of the night, we destroyed all those high-performance cars, we managed to defeat the guarding WRs, and we kicked some asses, which basically is what I said before, but meh, I like the sound of that.
"Well, that's all of them." I said as we watched the last of the cars burning.
"Those WR will know now that we aren't a gang to mess up with." Kate agreed.
"Yeah, fo' sure." Denzel grinned painfully, still clutching on his bloody shoulder.
"This is why I said about reckless fools, moron." Cassie sighed. "Still, it's better to take him to a hospital and check on that."
"Good idea." Joseph nodded before looking at us. "We'll take it from here. You two go and rest, Enforcers."
"Good. Keep the car if you like; we are alright with what we have."
"Yay, I want to customize it of my own!" Star cheered as the other three followed behind.
"No fuckin' way! I want that!" Denzel shouted as Joseph helped him to get to the car.
As they continued bickering on who should own the Zircon, Kate and I looked at each other and chuckled at their antics.
"I wonder who'll take the car." I snickered.
"Eh, who knows?" Kate grinned. "Let's call it a day and see what's for tomorrow."
I nodded and returned to Kate's crib. I called Julius on our way and he said that he was going to send some of our people to Pleasant View.
This was just the beginning of our fight against the Westside Rollerz.
(Stilwater – Saint's Row District – Mission Beach – 3rd Street Saints' Territory)
The next day, we didn't do much. I mean, there was work to do but we left them for the others to do it. Meanwhile, I was playing poker with Johnny and Dex while Kate started cleaning her baby, and I mean by her Tombstone.
I was looking at my cards and checking if anybody of these fools could make me fold. I had good cards on my hand; a spade of Jacks, and clover of Queens. The cards in front of us had hearts of Ten, a diamond of Nine, a spade of Six, and hearts of Ace. I just needed a King so I could win but for 6k on the pot, I think that these two fools had good cards too.
Dex placed the last card which was, unluckily, a spade of Queen and I groaned inwardly at my shitty luck.
"Raise." Dex said confidently putting 1k on the pot.
"Fold." I grumbled laying my cards on the table.
We looked at Johnny as he hadn't moved yet from his position; one hand on his cards and the other at the back of the chair acting cocky.
Without any word, he grabbed the double of what Dex said and laid on the pot. "Raise." He grinned.
Dex was now worried, not knowing that Johnny was bluffing or not. I've played before with them and while Dex is good at playing poker with his brain, Johnny always depended on his luck or his cocky act.
Dex grumbled checking again his cards before grabbing his money. "Aight, call."
Both of them laid their cards on the table, and I could see that if I hadn't folded, I could have lost more. Dex had a diamond of Ten and Ace, as for Johnny, well shit, he had spade of Eight and diamond of Seven.
"Fuck this shit!" Dex groaned in defeat as Johnny laughed in victory.
"So Johnny wins by a Flush... great..." I pointed out, sighing in defeat.
"Yup! Nobody wins against 'Lucky Gat'." Johnny cackled while grabbing the winning pot.
I raised an eyebrow at his lame nickname. "Lucky Gat?" I scoffed. "I don't think that you have much to say after what happened with Big T and Tanya back at the abandoned police station."
"Hey, that was something we didn't expect. At least I get to beat Big Tony on arm wrestling." He said smugly.
"Pff, whatever."
Ring! Ring! Ring!
I turned back to see that Kate received a call and answered.
"Hello?" Kate began listening attentively to whoever was calling her. "Uh-huh, okay, we'll meet you there." She hung up and looked at me.
"Was it Lin?" I divined.
"Yup, she wants us to meet at the teahouse in Chinatown. I guess she mentioned a way to get deeper with the Rollerz." She hummed.
"Well, whatever Lin has planned good luck out there." Dex said.
"Thanks." I nodded, grabbing the remaining money from my side, and looked at Kate. "Ready for this?"
Kate finished her Tombstone's cleaning and pumping with an eager grin. "Always."
This time, I get to drive my customized Attrazione to Chinatown as we wondered what Lin had prepared. I mean, I knew but hopefully I could talk with her before she enters the Rollerz and warn her about the 'Uncle'. I wouldn't want her to die this early and I should also warn her about the Enforcer.
(Stilwater – Chinatown District – Chinatown – 3rd Street Saints' Territory)
We got into the teashop named 'The White Jasmine'. There were people of different races drinking and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Just as we found Lin sitting alone with an unlit cigarette on her fingers, a man approached her.
-Westside Rollerz: Guardian Angel – Undercover-
"Need a light?" The man offered her his lighter.
"Thanks." Lin said in 'appreciation', lit her cigarette, and threw the lighter to the back which shocked the man.
I, since I was closer, grabbed the lighter on the air. The man came to me and I returned to him.
"Thanks..." He grumbled before making his way out of the teashop.
"Asshole." Kate huffed angrily at the 'thankful' man when he left.
"It's not worth it." I told her which then we made our way between Lin.
"I tell ya, you and me are always making new friends." Lin commented as she smoked her cigarette.
"Yeah, well, not all of us can appreciate the same sentiment." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah..." Lin agreed before putting a serious expression. "Things are moving too slow. We gotta step it up. I hear a guy named Joseph Price calls the shots. I don't know much about him 'cept that he's friends with some mechanic named Donnie. If we get in good with Price's crew, we'll always be one step ahead of those fuckers."
"That's a good plan. What's the catch?" Kate asked.
"The catch is: Go and tear up Donnie's shop which will be guarded. Right when you're about to finish off Price's buddy, I'll rush in and save the day. Make it look good, but don't you dare mess up my car." Lin warned us as she meant it. "If we're lucky, Donnie will arrange a meet with Price. Thanks for buying my tea."
With our briefing finished, Lin made her way out of the teashop. Kate and I looked at each other then looked at the untouched tea.
"You want it?" I asked.
(Stilwater – Apartment District – Sommerseat – Westside Rollerz's Territory)
It didn't take long as we arrived at Donnie's workshop. The place looked nice and it seemed that Donnie knew what he was doing with this shop.
We could see the Westside Rollerz protecting the place from anybody. Maybe, personal bodyguards, I don't know.
I made to the front entrance that there was no guard placed on it and parked my way to it.
"You ready for this?" I asked as I held my AR-40 Xtnd rifle.
Kate nodded holding both Golden Plated GDHC .50 magnum and SKR-7 Spree. "Ready when you are."
We went around seeing if we could enter from the back door but as soon as we made it to the corner, there were three WR smoking. Before they could have done to their guns, we quickly aimed at them and shot them down.
"Well, that goes to be sneaky..." I said dumbly before pondering my words. "I wasn't expecting that..." I then shrugged. "But I was expecting not to expect something so it doesn't count."
Kate frowned in confusion. "Was that a reference? I don't remember..."
I opened my mouth and then closed it as that quote hadn't yet released. "Eh, something that came to me. Come on, let's get this Donnie out and become the bad guys."
We made our way to the back entrance and there were two guards waiting for us. As soon as we entered, we could hear voices.
"Donnie, run!"
"But my equipment!"
The second voice I recognized was the mechanic's. We quickly made our way inside fighting back the WR that was protecting him.
"Whatever happens, don't let those fuckers get Donnie!"
Well, I can at least respect their loyalty to their mechanic and their way to protect him. I would do that to anybody in the Saints... unless it's Dex, of course.
"Shit, they're here for Donnie!" A WR gang member shouted.
"Leave Donnie alone!" Another WR gang member cried out.
We continued making out way inside the shop until finally, we reached him.
Donnie was the typical Asian that I expected him to be. He wore a black, white and blue jacket, blue baggy jeans, and black shoes. His hair was a small crest with a blue tint dyed on the front and a small goatee around his mouth.
He was at the moment banging the door to open while two WR members were protecting him. Kate and I took cover behind a pillar and crates and began shooting at them.
"Come on, Donnie! Run!" One of the WR gang members, a male, shouted at the mechanic.
"What about you guys?"
"Don't worry about us! Run!" The other WR, a female, shouted as she then shot at us with her T3K Urban.
BRATTATTATTA!
I ducked hastily behind the crates before shooting at the WR on the shoulder.
"Agh!"
"Gregori!" The other WR went his way and before she could have done something Kate had her gun placed at the back of her head.
"Move and your brain splatters on him." She threatened the WR before knocking the lights out of the female WR by hitting her head.
We looked menacingly at Donnie which he banged the door open hastily to get out of the way. With the last push, the door opened up as we began shooting at him. Of course, we had to miss them as he was the ticket for Lin to get inside the Westside Rollerz.
-Westside Rollerz: Guardian Angel – The Sleeper-
Donnie got out of his shop and we followed behind. With our guns aimed at him, we managed to corner him. That is until Lin came by in her customized Voxel, holding an SKR-7 Spree.
"Donnie, get down!" She immediately aimed her smg at us and started shooting.
Donnie complied quickly ducking down while we took cover behind a trash bin, big enough for the two of us.
"What are you waitin' for? Get in!"
Donnie stood up and jumped over the car's hood, scratching it with his pants, and entered the passenger seat.
"We gotta get out of here!" Donnie said in distress.
"Ugh, I think you scratched my hood." Lin grunted in displeasure.
"Look I-!"
Donnie couldn't say anything as we made our way and shot at them... and maybe a hole or two on her car.
"Mother fucker." She hissed as she then shot at us again.
We quickly ducked behind a trash container before Lin could kill us literally.
"Do you think she's mad?" Kate asked warily.
"Since she asked us not to mess with her, and we did the opposite..." I grimaced. "Well, take a guess."
"Who're you?" Donnie asked as he was now safe from his guardian angel.
She gave him a smirk. "I'm Lin, and you're welcome."
With those last words, Lin drove away from us.
"We should get to my car and chase them." I said as we made it to my customized Attrazione and followed them.
I must say, despite that this was deceit, Lin does know how to drive. She used every obstacle to make us lose her. From making the cars crash at us, to use the empty road to get away faster, and even using the freeway to get closer to the WR's HQ.
By the time we reached the Tidal Spring Neighborhood, I knew that it was time for me to back away and let them escape.
We continued watching Lin's customized Voxel getting far away from us.
"I think we made it believable." Kate said. Her eyes still on the path Lin went.
"Yeah, and I hope that Lin does her job without getting caught." I said. "We should get out of here."
With that said, I made our way away from the Westside Rollerz's territory to ours.
I didn't get the chance to tell Lin to be careful with the uncle but if she calls, I'll tell her to be careful. I wouldn't want her to die this early on without getting her the chance to live.
(Stilwater – Downtown District – Filmore – 3rd Street Saints' Territory)
We didn't get far as just making them think we returned to our HQ to report to Julius. Instead, we called him.
"Report."
"Lin got inside the gang as planned." I told him. "I don't think they'll trust her fully just because they saved one of them. It would take much more for them to trust her as a newcomer but she needs time for her to become trustable... time which we don't have it."
"Yeah, while you two did a good work on putting Lin inside, those WR won't sit around with their thumbs on their asses." He stated matter-of-factly. "We need to take them out while we can."
"But if we rush things, Lin might get discovered as our spy and they'll kill her." I said my worries. And it was the truth; the Saints rushed out their attack so that is why the 'Uncle' discovered Lin's role. He's not an attorney for shits and giggles, that man is cunning like Cao Cao and ruthless like Dong Zhuo.
Julius hummed in agreement. "Hm, I know and I'm worried. But Lin is a strong woman; otherwise, I wouldn't have recruited her and put her with the Rollerz."
"Look, I know that Lin is a strong woman but Boss, I do have another bad feeling." I told him.
"...you sure?" Julius asked, albeit nervous.
"Yes, and I know that I hadn't those hunches in weeks. But you have to trust me on this and tell her to be careful." I told him firmly with all my conviction on my tone.
"Hmm..."
Julius was thinking deeply about the decision and I hoped that he gives me the okay otherwise Lin might die on that pier because of that fucking uncle.
I was nervous that Julius might object to it and Lin was destined to die there. I waited patiently for Julius to tell me if it is okay or not to lessen Lin's suspicion.
"Alright, you are allowed to help and lessen her burden." I sighed in relief when he said that. "But..." I gulped and breathed in nervously as Julius forged on. "You have to make sure that the Rollerz are weakened, otherwise we won't finish them off."
I sighed in relief again at that. "Alright, Boss. I'll do that."
"Good, wait for Lin to call you."
"Thank you, Boss." I hung up my phone and rested on my seat.
"Are you that worried?"
Oh right, Kate had been quiet the entire conversation and now she's talking.
"Yeah, I'm worried." I admitted wearily. "Even though Lin can handle herself, I get the feeling that it will be hard for her inside."
"Yeah, I get you." She agreed. "Not long we fought them, and I know that they aren't the strongest fighters but they do drive well. I guess that is why they use the 'Hit and Run' tactics on our turf."
"I do wonder how they can do that." I sighed. "We might know of it when either Lin or Luz knows more about them."
Ring! Ring! Ring!
I checked my phone again and it was our woman inside.
"I'm in. Donnie's setting up a meeting with the higher-ups of the Rollerz. You should stop by and listen to what's being said. I'll text you the address."
Another ping appeared on my phone and it was the address of the Price's Mansion if I recall from Luz's information.
"Alright, we'll move now." I hung up my phone and looked at Kate. "Time to be sneaky again?"
"I hope this time works." She grunted as I then drove toward Misty Lane.
(Stilwater – Suburbs District – Misty Lane – Westside Rollerz's Territory)
It didn't take long as we arrived at the Price's Mansion. I parked the car away from the sight of the WR, even though back in the game people ignored the colored cars, I wasn't stupid to leave my car in front of their HQ. So I decided to leave not far from the mansion but away from their eyes.
We moved on foot and, luckily, there wasn't any guard guarding the mansion. So we sneaked around to a window to eardrop them.
-Westside Rollerz: Escort Service – Meet Uncle Will-
As soon as we peeked over, we could see their top members.
William Sharp, the uncle and the attorney of the family, was a man in his mid-40s. He had a wrinkle mark on his forehead, wore a, ironically, sharp three-piece suit with a blue tie and black shoes. He was one of the co-leader of the Westside Rollerz and the one who worked in the shadows.
Joseph Price, the nephew and the front leader of the Westside Rollerz, was a man in his late-20s or early-30s. He was a bald man, used black shades of glasses, hung a golden chain around his neck, wore a black tank top, a combination of black, white, and blue racing pants and matching gloves, an expensive wristwatch on his left wrist, and black shoes.
And the last of the list, Ace Stallard, the Enforcer of the Westside Rollerz, was at the moment sitting on an armchair leisurely watching the two family members talk.
"So he's okay? That's great." Joseph said his relief at Donnie's survival.
"Yes, how could we possibly score dime bags without him?" William drawled out sarcastically.
I guess his profile of being 'heavily sarcastic' wasn't for shits and giggles. That is the only thing I can remember except for cold and ruthless.
"Oh come on, Uncle Will, he's not that-"
"Sup Price?" Donnie interrupted them entering their meeting with Lin behind. If I wasn't wrong, I think that Ace was eyeing like she was a piece of meat.
Joseph immediately sat up and looked at his friend in delight. "You scared the shit outta me, Donnie."
Both of them shook their hands like bros, glad that they could see each other again. "I scared the shit outta me."
"Donnie." Ace grinned, not batting an eye on him but rather at Lin. "Who's this chick?"
"Yes, Donnie." William drawled. "Who's this stranger you brought into my house?"
Donnie's eyes widened at how forgetful he was. "Aw fuck, I forgot, this is-"
"I'm Lin." She introduced herself with her no-nonsense tone.
"Lin?" Ace's grinned stretched to a predatory manner. "That's a nice name."
Lin growled in disgust. "Fuck off."
"She totally saved my ass, Mr. Sharp, she's a helluva driver." Donnie commented happily, ignorant of Ace's actions.
"I'm the best racer that ever came out of Chinatown." She affirmed confidently.
"How come I've never heard of you?" Joseph brought up.
"Cause I got tits." Lin replied as it was obvious.
Joseph and Ace looked down and up with varied expressions.
"Is that what you call those?" Joseph asked skeptically although with a hint of mischief.
"I would say those are nice pairs of tits." Ace chuckled.
What they didn't expect was that Lin punched the two of them at the same time.
"Ooh a feisty one, aren't we?" Ace grinned, licking his lips as a small drop of blood dripped down as his brisket side of his face ached.
"Suppose I deserved that." Joseph rubbed his cheek.
"Yeah, you did." Lin replied although glared at Ace.
"My nephew and his friend have a... unique sense of humor." William drawled out sarcastically.
Lin frowned at the attorney. "That was supposed to be funny?"
"I thought it was, until you hit me in the face." Joseph pointed out.
"Yeah, then it was hilarious." Donnie laughed in agreement which then earned a flip-off from Joseph.
"Joseph, you better hurry. You don't want to miss your meeting." William told his nephew.
"Sorry, I gotta take off. Lin, it was nice meeting you. I'll catch you later Donnie. Come on, Ace." Joseph walked out of the meeting.
"See you around... Lin." Ace chuckled as he followed his leader.
"So we're finally hitting that convoy huh?" Donnie asked with a grin; although that gained a raised eyebrow from Lin and a frown from William.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Donnie." William retorted sternly.
"Sure you-"
"I don't know what you're talking about, Donnie." William repeated frigidly giving him the hint that Lin was present.
Knowing his error, Donnie quickly amended for his mistake by rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh... Riiight. Just sit tight, Price should be back soon."
William sat up from his seat and looked at the remaining people. "As stimulating as this conversation is, I'm afraid I need to make some calls. If you'd excuse me."
Knowing that was the end of it, I quickly sneaked away from the window only to stop when Kate hadn't followed behind and had her eyes widened like she had seen a ghost.
"Kate, what's wrong?" I whispered.
She gulped nervously as cold sweat beads trailed down her forehead. "N-Nothing... let's go and hit those convoys."
I couldn't say anymore as she passed me toward the car. I wondered what was wrong with her but I should ask her later since we had to do our job.
As soon as we entered my car, I called Julius. "Boss, we got something."
"What is it?"
"We just came across the top members of the Rollerz. One of their guys mentioned a convoy but didn't forge on as Lin was present." Kate answered, sounding calmer than before. "We think that the Rollerz are making a move on those convoys."
"Hm, I'll make some calls and hit those WR."
"Let's not go to all of the convoys as it would make them suspicious of the coincidence." I brought up. "Let them think that we were in the area and happened to see their activities. That might let them think otherwise and maybe letting Lin get deeper."
"Hm, alright, I'll tell them that. Anything else?"
We pondered for a moment what more we could add but nothing came up to us.
"Not that we think of, no." Kate replied.
"Alright, I'll talk to Ben and Hector about it. Maybe their guys could help you on those convoys."
"That would be good, yes." I nodded in agreement.
"Alright, I'll send them a message. Good luck out there."
Hanging up my phone, I looked to the street. "Okay, time to wreak some WR."
I drove us around the WR's territory in search of those convoys. Despite what I said that I hope that those convoy drivers had it quick and painless.
I thought that this mission would have only three convoys that would hit them. Instead, I realized that there were more than three convoys that they would attack.
How did I realize that?
Well, Kate and I got to defend the first convoy in Tidal Spring from them. I mean, it was easy. Two WRs trying to get it and we shot them, and yadda yadda.
Not that it was difficult. But on the second one which was over Arena District, there were four cars that attacked the convoy. We decided that we should let them get as we wouldn't want to get Lin discovered.
Then I got a call from Victor and, surprisingly, Big Tony, telling me that they got one each of the convoys to defend but left the others. I guess the Rollerz got more convoys than I recalled and returned to them saying that it was fine with it. They did ask why we did this but I told them that it wasn't yet important for them to know it.
They begrudgingly accepted it and I assured them that in time they would know it as their bosses. It was not my call or Kate's to tell them that, it was Julius'. I might have some kind of power in the rank as the Enforcer but everything goes through him.
We helped the third convoy off the WR's grasp and drove away from them.
"I think that's all." I said. "This should be enough for them to think that Lin had nothing to do with it."
"Yeah, I hope this works." Kate added. "The last thing I want is having to grief for Lin."
I sympathetically looked at her, promising myself that Lin won't die. "We won't let them do that." And I hope that I can do it.

-Westside Rollerz: Escort Service – Focus-
Back to the Mansion, Donnie and Lin were sitting around while the mechanic was blowing a blunt.
"Ya know what I hate? Underglow. That shit is tacky as hell." Donnie spat in disgust.
Lin rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I think-"
She got interrupted when William, Joseph, and Ace entered the living room.
"They all got away?" William asked.
"Not everything, uncle. We got some of them." Joseph replied.
"How did this happen?"
"Some of the Saint's Row punks got to our boys, Mr. Sharp." Ace answered with a low growl.
William was now concerned about it and looked at the two fronts of the gang. "Who?"
Donnie immediately followed up with Lin behind. "The same guys who fucked up my shop, I think they're the Fifth Street Alter Boys or somethin'."
"No, Donnie, they're the 3rd Street Saints." Lin corrected him. She wasn't stupid that they should already know about her gang. They managed to get two-third of Stilwater, taking out the Carnales and the Vice Kings. The Westside Rollerz would be stupid to not know about them.
"What she said."
Joseph immediately frowned upon seeing what Donnie had on his hand. "Will you stop smoking that shit? I need you to focus." He scolded him by taking the drug away from Donnie's reach.
"If you need me to focus, I'd pass that shit back." He then choked out his blunt and coughed.
"Donnie..." Joseph warned him sternly.
"Relax, Price..." Ace came up to him with a 'friendly' grin. "If Donnie thinks that smoking weed has him focused, I would say let him do so."
If Lin had known him for the few seconds they met, she would know that this guy meant otherwise of what he said.
"Ace, don't give me that crap. I need Donnie focused on what's next."
"Yeah, alright." Donnie sniffed, now focused, or well, what focus he had. "You got some time before the buyers need those parts right?"
Lin raised an eyebrow. It was juicy information that she would need for her gang to know. "The buyers?" She asked, not sounding suspicious.
"Oh, they're a bunch of guys overseas that Mr. Sharp kn-"
"Donnie..." William's voice cut him cold as the mechanic looked fearfully at the attorney. "Do we have to have another... conversation?"
"Sorry." He apologized immediately. He hated those conversations with Mr. Sharp. He scared the shit outta him than those gangs that attacked his shop.
"Don't worry 'bout it, just think." Joseph reassured his best friend.
Ace scoffed behind. "Yeah, like he needs to think." He sneered, which then earned a light punch on his shoulder.
"Don't be a dick, Ace." Joseph told him. Ace simply raised his hand in mock surrender.
"Give me some time. I bet Lin and I can whip somethin' up." Donnie said.
"Okay, you game for that, Lin?" Joseph asked the newest member of the WR.
"Hey, anything I can do to help." Lin replied confidently. She was now in and she hoped that she doesn't fucked up with this and put these idiots on the ground. She hoped that in the end, she can return where she belongs and continue with her life.
What could possibly go wrong?
