"Good, that's what I hoping for." After I teleported back to my apartment I instantly got a notification from my phone. Asia already went to bed since I told her that I need to help Rias. "Never thought that Ddraig will tell Issei that I have a dragon inside my body. That complicated my plan since I want to keep it a secret. Now, about my Nekomata power... I thought Koneko already told them but since it's not... I just need to improvise a little."

I then put away my phone before grabbing some food in the fridge and heating it with the microwave. 'I wonder what should I do now? I wish to know more about fallen angels so maybe asking Raynare or Kalawarner can help.'

*Ding!*

I take the food from the microwave and proceed to sit on a sofa in the living room. I then start to eat before continuing my thoughts. 'Well, if they refuse I'm not going to force them. Owe them something is the last thing I want to happen.' With that in mind, I quickly finished the food and go to sleep.

I opened my eyes because of the loud rumbling noise and I can see the purple dragon currently angry at something. Armarta seems did not take the news too well.

"How dare that lowly dragon tries disturbing my place! That alone was more than enough reason to cut that dragon head off!"

"It's rare to see you throwing tantrum like this."

"Back in my world, the dragon is a very territorial being kid. That red dragon tried to peek my place and usually, I will kill anything that going inside my territory without my permission."

"Too bad you can't do that since that will bring nothing to me but trouble."

"Hmph! Fine! But tell that boy who wields that dragon to not do that again. Consider it my final warning or I will take this problem myself."

"Alright, alright. I will tell him. *sigh* So, is there anything else you need besides acting like a high school girl?"

"You still have some guts to insult me and yet you didn't do anything else to those pesky devils. I wonder why?"

"I still have a lot of things I need to do now and getting my ass hunted by Satan is the last thing I want to happen. I don't want to be a reckless person only to get myself beaten because I'm not well prepared."

"...farewell, I see your intention so now you can leave. Do remember that always watching you so... keep your live entertaining so I can enjoy it."

Everything slowly went dark before I finally lose my consciousness.

"...what a troublesome dragon that I have inside my body." With that said I begin my day as usual. Nothing unusual happened since I still waiting for Riser to make an appearance, plus I still have my training restrictions from Asia.

It's not like that's a bad thing though, since I can still raise my stats or social link. But, I've been wondering if I can get another one from Sona peerage? With the problems between us has been solved maybe I'll try to know them better, who knows? If the luck still on my side I might get a new social link from Sona herself.

I spent my morning just like usual but, since I was daydreaming in afternoon class Kalawarner called me once, and instantly I got all the attention from all my classmates. I do not really mind it just like usual.

When it's finally time for lunch Asia suddenly approaches Raynare and asks her to eat together. She was surprised by the sudden invitation but decide to accept it since there's no reason to refuse. But before leaving the class she then asks me to join them. Looks like Asia was planning something but I agree on either way and with that, we make our way to the school rooftop.

School Rooftop, Lunchtime.

Right now we currently eating our lunch with Asia sit really close with Raynare while I sit in front of them. Asia tries her best to make Raynare feel comfortable around us, she even offered Raynare some of her lunch which she accepts.

"Here! You should try this meatball too, Yuuma-san. Ryuji is the one who made this and I think it's really tasty!"

"I just helped you shape it, Asia. I can't actually cook you know?"

"Someday you will learn to... anyway, here you go Yuuma-san."

"T-Thank you."

"Do you want some egg too? Ryuji is-"

"No, I'm not the one who cooks it."

Asia just pouts at me after that which makes me sigh. But, at least Raynare didn't seem too stiff like before and start replying at Asia random talk while I quietly eat my food. After a while, we finally finished our food and just relaxing since we still have some minutes left before the lunch break is over.

I thought I won't need to partake with whatever they were talking but Raynare seems to want to ask me something since she was looking in my direction for a while now. So, I decided to be the one who asks her to tell me what's on her mind right now.

"Is there something you need from me, Yuuma-san?"

"A-Ah... Umm... well, if it's okay to ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"Ishikawa-san... are you... possessed?"

That question caught me off guard since that didn't even cross my mind at all. I mean, I thought she going to ask about my 'sacred gear' or something like that. But, she asked me if I was possessed? Even Asia has a surprised look on her face right now. Regaining my composure I decided to ask her reason for asking me that.

"...uh, why you ask me that?"

"Well, you see... before my incident, I was tasked with observing you since you have a sacred gear right?" She asks and I nod. "I... happen to see your fight with a stray devil."

"Ah... that pervert."

"Yes... I mean, before that fight I can see you as a weak and timid person. No offense!"

"None taken."

"So I was really surprised when you use... Dark magic to kill that stray devil."

'She probably means my Eiha skill.' "You saw it... did you report that to your superior?"

"Y-Yes. But don't worry! He won't attack or ordering us to hurt you. Since you completely handle yourself until now he said to just continue observing you in case you lose control about that magic."

This time Asia interrupt Raynare speech. "W-Wait a second! This is the first time I heard about this! I never saw Ryuji using dark magic when he's train or fight."

"That's why I want to confirm it. The destructive power of that magic is... dangerous. If you can obliterate a medium rank devil when you just happen to used it, I don't even want to know what kind of power you wield when you master it."

"That still doesn't answer my question though. Why are you saying that I was possessed?"

"Ah, right... because after that event I can see you slowly changing like a new person. You seem can handle women pretty well even they start chasing after you. Your behavior also changes and you become more confident even when you need to face the devils in this school."

"Is that true, Ryuji?"

"I think possessed is a strong word here. It's more like a contract you see, a spirit offer me some power to protect myself in exchange for something."

"B-But is that really okay Ryuji!? I mean, a spirit that can use dark magic is usually arrogant and selfish right?"

"Haha, if Gremory-senpai hears you she will be sad you know?" Asia instantly covers her mouth and looking around to make sure no one heard it beside us. "Don't worry, mine's not like that. It just a business thing with it and it's a win-win situation so I don't see why I must refuse its offer."

"You seem certain about it, are you sure you're not being tricked?" Ask Raynare.

"Definitely. After everything happened here I can clearly see whose should I trust and whose not."

"W-Well if you say so..."

"If you don't mind can I ask you something? What's your superior actually do? I've been curious about this for a while since your superior mostly told you to observe humans but never do anything after that. Unlike devil who recruits them to their peerage then what sort objective your superior had?"

"I can't say anything for certain... since I'm not in a position to know what my superior planning."

"Well, that goes that then. If you also don't know then I just need to find the answer somewhere else."

"You sure? I mean, what if I lied to you?"

"Because you're not lying." I said before checking my phone and closing the discussion.

"Eh? Is-Is this really okay though?"

"Ahaha, you will get used to it Yuuma-san. Ryuji always acts like that from time to time but he's a good person."

"I-I see..."

Timeskip

A few days later everything just went like usual. Get to school, train a bit, and taking some contract from Lavenza. For some reason I can't seem to get into any contact with any student councils, looks like they busy with something which reminds me that the Riser event is getting closer. Come to think of it, I never know what the student councils do when that happens aside from commentating on Rias match later.

That's it, until one day I happen to sense a strong aura towards ORC. 'They finally here. I don't want to butt in when Riser and his peerage are still there but I'm curious how Rias will react after everything happened here. Considering her peerage is really short on members after I save Asia and all.' After thinking it through I decide to just sneak into their meeting. Of course, I equip Arsene as my main Persona first to increase my success.

Occult Research Club, Afternoon.

I finally reach the room where Rias at and slowly creeping towards the door. I enhanced my hearing sense using Nekomata passive skill although I don't seem that really necessary since they talking really loud in the first place.

"Are you really want to fight me, Rias? Why you don't just give up and became my wife?"

"Because I don't want to! I'm going to choose my own future and I will prove it at rating game!"

"Well, if that what you desire milady, then let's make it happen." The maid which is Grayfia suddenly interrupted their conversation.

"Huh?" Everyone was dumbfounded by her declaration just like the anime. Their reply also similar so I kinda spaced out at this point until Rias saying something slightly different at the end.

"Then, give me and my peerage two weeks' worth of training. I also demand that we allowed to used recovery potion in our match."

"That's a lot of handicaps don't you think, Rias?" Said Riser smugly. "If you really scared to lose then let's not do this stupid rating game at all."

"I have a reason for this, Riser. If you agree to bring the same amount of pieces just like mine then I don't mind fighting you without any training. Not to mention that you have Phoenix tears and I'm not really sure that you won't use it when you losing later."

"That's some mouth you got there, Rias. Fine, I accept your condition. It's not like you can suddenly beat me and my peerage in two weeks. Send my regards to Lord Satan, I need to keep my good image before our marriage." And with that Riser and his peerage gone using his magic circle.

Rias, suddenly losing the strength to stand and just sit on the floor before her peerage comfort her. I can tell that Rias is still nervous about what happened since that kind of declaration can instantly went south if Riser not so arrogant about his power. I decide now it's time to get away since I already confirmed that Rias made some different decisions. Well, until-

"Going somewhere?" A cold voice appears beside me only to see Grayfia with some icicles hovering around me.

'Busted! Of course, the strongest queen will detect me! How can I forget about that!?' I slowly stand up before knocking on the door a few times. "Gremory-senpai, can I come in?"

A moment after I knocked, the door finally opened and I can see Akeno is the one who opens it. She was smiling at first until she sees the situation I'm in and I can see concerns on her face.

"S-Sure, Ryuji-kun." Akeno said before letting me in.

"Can I, miss maid?" I ask Grayfia to make sure that she won't get more suspicious of me.

"...very well." She said before makes all the icicles disappear.

After I greet everyone in the room and Rias now sitting on the sofa, Grayfia instantly asks about my identity. "By the way, I see that all of you are already fond of this human. Care to explain it to me, Oujo-sama?"

"Well... it's a long story. Uhh, I don't know how to explain it properly."

"May I then?" I said which got the confirmation from Rias. "Let's just say that I'm an ex-candidate for her peerage but a lot of misunderstanding happened which results in a little quarrel."

"Oh? So in the end you didn't join Ojou-sama peerage then?" She asks and I nod at her. "May I ask why?"

"Nothing special. I just want to stay human, that's all."

"Hmm... may I ask your name then, young man?"

"Ryuji Ishikawa."

"I see. Well then, I'm afraid I need to leave now. I need to report everything that happened here to your brother, Ojou-sama. Is there anything you need to tell him before I go?"

"Yes. Tell him that we will have some special training there so I request that he prepare someone to train us."

"That's very unlikely of you, Oujo-sama. Usually, you don't want your brother to intervene with your problem."

"I don't care about that right now. I need to win this battle even if I need to sacrifice my own pride for it."

"...understood, I'll make sure to tell him about your plan. Well then, farewell for now." Said Grayfia before also disappear using her magic circle.

"I will prepare some tea then. Since we need to relax a bit for some discussion I believe?" Said Akeno.

"Thank you, Akeno. I really appreciate that." Rias said before Akeno just smiling at her and leave the room. "So, Ryuji-kun... I assume you already know what just happened earlier since you were eavesdropping on us?"

"I think I got most of the important points so, looks like we're not seeing each other for two weeks then."

"It's for the best. After all, I need to raise my chances against him so I'll also consult my mother for some guidance."

'Her mother... I don't know anything about her, well not that it will matter for me though.' "Seems you have everything planned then. I guess it's time for me to leave."

"Please, wait here for a moment. I need to discuss something else with you but I want to wait for Akeno first."

"...alright."

"Thank you, Ryuji-kun."

After that, Rias was calming herself so I thought I leave her alone for a while. Koneko starts eating her snacks and Issei is really concerned about his King so he trying to console Rias the best he could. That leaves me with Kiba, come to think of it I never really have any discussion with him. Since I was antagonizing his peerage until recently I guess it's normal for him to aware of me so I decided to just check my phone while waiting for Akeno to come back. Well, that was the plan anyway... until he the one who starts the conversation.

"I'm impressed you can eavesdropping us until miss Grayfia caught you. I honestly didn't think that anyone else was here when that happens."

"I just concealing my presence nothing special. Never thought some big shot like 'The strongest Queen' was here though, if not because of her I might be able to leave without anyone knowing."

"I guess that's true." Kiba starts laughing a little before continuing to talk. "Say... are you still won't join our peerage?"

"Of course. I made my decision clear aren't I?"

"Haha, yes you are. May I ask the reason then? It seems you had more to it other than to stay as a human."

"...another reason, huh? Let's see, did you know that I can also use light magic?"

"I hope you're joking right now. But, knowing what kind of person you are I assume you told me the truth?"

"I wish I can show it but the control of my magic especially that was still bad. I still blow myself up regularly with it so maybe next time."

"Well then, let me change the subject. Where did you learn to wield all those weapons? You use many different weapons and I can see that you have some experience with them. Same when you using the guns, did you perhaps join some kind of military training?"

"No, most of it uhh... self-taught."

"You serious?" I nod at this. "...using different weapons, wielding magic and not to mention that form... Just what are you, Ishikawa?"

"I'm a human of course. I'm just showing you that I don't have any restrictions to how I grow stronger unlike the supernatural. I have the freedom to choose my own path and to make my decision without anyone stops me. Well, if anyone decides to stop me though I just going to show them that my will are stronger than theirs."

"...I see. Looks like I really underestimated you, Ishikawa. How, about some sparing after everything is settled?"

"Fine by me."

At that moment Akeno finally back with the tea for us and prepare it on the table. We have some little chat before Rias finally recovered and discuss the strategy for fighting against Riser. In the end, it was the same as the anime that she will use guerilla tactics because of the difference of members she had. I was wondering what her plan for letting me hear everything about this matter since I'm not even in her peerage. But, then I finally got my answer.

"Ishikawa-kun, I have a request for you." Rias asked me.

"What is it?"

"Can you sell us some of the healing potions you use? Of course, I won't expect for it to be cheap since your trainer won't make it if she knows that a devil will use it."

"Ah... I see now. So you want to buy it from me instead, huh? Well, I don't think there's any issue if you ask her directly through. I'm sure I can convince her somehow."

"Really? I mean, isn't your trainer a Youkai?"

"Trust me, I can do it. So, since it will take a few days depends on how much you ordered I assume you not expecting me to deliver it all the way to the underworld?"

"Of course not, I will leave my familiar here with the payments. Just message me how much is it after you manage to convince your trainer." She said before giving me a piece of paper. "Since I already know yours from Sona I think it should be fair if you also knew mine."

"That's not fair, Rias. Why you have his number and I'm not?" Akeno suddenly butts in into our conversation.

"It's just for an important thing, Akeno. I'm never using it until now since it's an important matter."

"Then, can you give me his number too?"

"Well-"

"No thank you. I will instantly block your number when I know it was yours, senpai."

"Ehh~ it's not like I'm going to spam you with a message or something like that."

"Anyways..." I stop give my attention to Akeno before continuing my discussion with Rias. "Do you have any plan with Riser's regeneration ability?"

"Sadly, no. Looks like I need to use brute force to stop his regeneration."

"Well, how about this." I then summoned Yoroi-dōshi from my inventory and place it on the table. "I suppose I can lend you my weapon when fighting against him."

"Ryuji-kun... what is this?"

"A tanto that can mess up someone's magical energy. I believe it can also stop Riser from healing himself in battle."

"You sure I can use this? I mean, isn't this weapon important to you?"

"Just promise me you won't break it or throw it away."

"Ryuji-kun... Thank you."

Meanwhile

"So what you can tell me about this human, Grayfia?"

"His name is Ryuji Ishikawa. He possesses some unique ability, magic, and senjutsu."

"Senjutsu you said? It's rare to see a human that possesses it these days."

"I sense it when he eavesdrops on the meeting earlier. Even if it's faint I'm sure it was senjutsu."

"Interesting..."

"Do you think he has some connections with the intruder that break-in into the underworld a few months ago?"

"Maybe... his arrival in Kuoh might not a coincidence after all. The intruder, incident with fallen angels, the phantom thief... what his true intention I wonder? Is he our ally or enemy?"

"What do you want me to do then?"

"For now, just observe him. We can't make any wrong decision here... especially when our true enemy is still unknown."

Sorry for the inconsistent in my writing. I know the grammar and my sloppiness is still there like usual. But, the reason for the inconsistency is because I write it from different weeks or even months. I don't know why but writing a hundred words seems hard now. Maybe because I lack motivation or just straight up lazy. Well, I guess I must thank GBF for giving me some free gacha roll and completed my zodiac characters.
