Ok I was siriously thinking that this story was real garbage and was going to stop it. I got 3 great reviews since I last wrote. So either they're just SUPER nice people or they genuinely like this story. So I will continue. Let's hope this is normal and not a mess of "I don't know what to do anymore." Also another warning I still have no clue what I am doing if that was not clear yet.
*Leo* (Finally Mcshizzle gets a POV)
That was intense. I knew Percy had a horrible life as a demig-d. He went on dangerous quests since he was twelve for the g-ds sakes. Before that I just thought he was a troubled kid, thats what it seemed like anyways. His mom is great and so is his stepdad. Then we all find out that it was not like that at all at first.
I always have used humor to cover up the trauma. I noticed that me and Percy did have the same sence of humor, but I never thought that Percy did it because of his trauma. I guess I should have noticed it. The fact that this was even a surprise to Annabeth made me feel better that I never noticed.
When Will asked or more like ordered me to make specialized crutches for him, I was glad. The ideas were turning in my head. If Will supplied normal crutches (Im thinking the kind with the handles and the part that hold the arm. Not the kind that gets held under the arm.) I could probably add some enchantments to make it less noticable. Like ways so Percy could still fight while having them. It would be complicated but with Will's help and maybe some from Apollo, I think it could work. I would make them blue too of course because this is Percy we are talkimg about.
While all this was going on in my head, slowly everyone was saying what needed to be said. Mostly things along the line of 'He's gone' and 'we aee all your freinds now.' Then I added "Hey, we're not only driends. We're a family.' That got tons of smiles.
What happned next was mostly a matter of time. "Time for you too rest and gain your strength back. Now everyone else leave." Will ordered.
Then Thalia thretned "Or I will strap you to the bed Kelp Head and you wount be let off for a week." Thise two were just like siblings alright. One second they could be pulverizing the other, then the next they are making sure neither one is dying.
I left the cabin with everyone else besides Annabeth who stayed with Percy. I was making my way towards Bunker 9 when Will called "I think your forgetting something."
"Rightttt." I go to get the crutches, then make my way to Bunker 9. I heard Will twll me that he asked his dad for help. I hopped Apollo would listen.
Once in bunker 9 I started on coating the crutches in Celestial Bronze to make them into weapons. Then I got started with enchantments. Actually I havent figured out to do those yet. Lukily for me, there was a knock on the door.
"Glad you decided to come Apollo." As a g-d he shined to brightly, it hurt my eyes. "And could you maybe, I dont know, turn down the brightness?"
"Sorry about that." What a relief I could look at him without becoming blind. "Now how could I make this into a haiku. Ah I know maybe-"
"Nope no haikus, only working on this." Apollo sighed but complied. (Hey it rhymes)
We worked until dinner on the enchantments. The crutches now had the inability to get lost- much like Riptide. They had a bit af a force field, to act like what Percy had the mist to allow him to not rely to much on them. Of course I also painted then blue, that was a given. If Rachel wanted she could make them prettier.
Then it was time for dinner. Percy couldn't come so we went to him.
"How's the progress on the crutches going." Will wispered. I shot him a thumbs up. Then I went and asked Rachel to paint them. She agreed and they would be ready by the morning. We talked for a while until it was time for curfew. Well that was a day, wasn't it. I thought to myself as my head hit the pillow into and unusually dreamless sleep.
Ok fine not the worst chapter ever. I give myslef some credit.
