Men in Black and DC crossover

"This is very troubling." Karasuma frowned as he steepled his fingers together and stared down at the offending folders in front of him on his desk. Across from him was his granddaughter, his beautiful precious granddaughter who meant the universe to him, who had just been rescued from the FBI and pulled off the FBI's elaborate plot to 'kill' Shuichi Akai. She'd be on medical leave for the next few weeks to get rid of the slight muscle atrophy she had gained as well as the lack of nourishment from her last three months of being in a coma, and he noticed that there was something else off. A pain and agony in her eyes that she tried to hide and he didn't know what hurt his granddaughter but if there was anything he could do to help…

"There's no way this should have fallen through the cracks more than three times. Once is circumstance, twice is coincidence but three times…" His lovely granddaughter was professional and apparently didn't want to tell him what caused that agony in her eyes that seemed to penetrate deeply into her soul, instead she focused on the major oversight that had happened in regards to one of the MiB's biggest secret priorities.

Shinichi Kudo's file was faked.

Granted it was a good fake, one of the best he's ever seen, and it had managed to pass through every cursory inspection that they did of it.

But it was still fake.

The MiB should not have fake information and a fake file on one of the people they planned to recruit!

Chianti and Korn's files were also in front of him. Everything seemed normal when looked at the first time but then some things started standing out to the old man and his heiress when they looked closer.

Korn's had his real name and age, which were a pretty big mystery to the Organization at large since no one seemed to know how old the old sniper really was, as well as his two children listed and his deceased Irish immigrant wife. But there was no mention of his son being married or of him having a grandchild.

Chianti's was pretty much the same. It showed her real name, Irish as per her mothers decision, and her age which was older than most thought she was given how she behaved…it even listed her older brother, her deceased mother, and her father while showing that he's MiB as well…but no mention of her brother being married or of her having a nephew.

After noticing that, something he never would have known unless he heard them talking about their family which they almost never did, that's when something else stood out to him about Korn's file. Each file was hand-written and signed as official and up to date and true to the best of their knowledge by the agent in question every year baring any big changes like weddings or a childs birth. Each file was also sealed behind the highest clearance levels and could only be accessed by those Executive rank or higher…and neither Chianti nor Korn had any reason to lie about their extended family. But that wasn't what else had stood out to him about the files. He's worked with Korn a long time, he's read the mans hand written reports and accounts thousands if not millions of times and while the signatures at the bottom of the page matched…

The rest of the folder wasn't in Korn's handwriting.

And he'd be willing to bet his life savings that if he looked at Chianti's most recent report that required his attention (The shooting and accidental death of poor Irish who had already lost his younger sister figure, his father figure and only had his baby sister left but apparently that hadn't been enough but it didn't make sense. Why would he want the NOC list? What use or gain would he get from it? None of it made sense to the old man. No there was something more going on here.) and compared her handwriting on the report to the handwriting in the file…then he was sure that it wouldn't match.

Looking at the last two files on his desk Karasuma glared slightly as he stared at them. The files on Yusaku and Yukiko Kudo. While Yusaku's was pretty much entirely true and written by himself since he knew of the organization, still it only briefly mentioned marrying Yukiko Fujimine. There was no wedding date, no mention of him knowing about the organization and no mention of his son Shinichi being born.

But that wasn't the worst part. The worst part was Yukiko's file.

Yukiko Kudo, born Yukiko Fujimine apparently if he could even believe that…she had a birthdate on the file and it seemed right at first look but a glance revealed that it listed her as being ten years older than she was said to be (and he ignored how her birthday was the same as his Ethans. How she had the same cheek bones as his son and wife did. How she looked like if her hair was just a bit darker she could pass for his sons sister.), which honestly since she was an actress he wouldn't be surprised if she lied about her age at all. But her age wasn't the worst part. It said she was aware of the organization, but not how, her mother listed on the file didn't exist and her father's section was left completely blank…which he could also admit that it was possible her mother didn't know the fathers name or that the father disowned her. And like Yusaku's while it mentioned that she was married to him there was no wedding date given…

And no mention of her alien heritage or her son.

She was half shape shifter. Yukiko Kudo was half human half shape shifter and such a hybrid should be known to the MiB in case she didn't have control of her shape shifting abilities but no. There was no mention of it in her file, the MiB had been completely ignorant to it, and it seems like she either didn't have the ability to shape shift or she had complete control over it to the point where she used it in her acting before she retired when she got pregnant.

Yukiko Kudo's file was completely useless.

"Three times is enemy action but five times? Five times the files were altered and any mention of Shinichi Kudo was removed while there was no mention or even a hint of alien being in Yukiko Kudo's blood and Yusaku's folder shoulder have been flagged as soon as we knew that he was aware of the MiB through his father and sister. Not to mention Yukikos! Her entire folder is wrong with just the barest hints being true like her acting career! Our information networks and filing department is top notch. There's no way in hell, heaven, or anywhere else that more than two files should have slipped through the cracks but for all five of them to slip through and all traces of Shinichi Kudo being completely erased from every file?" Karasuma was not pleased as he glared down the files wishing he could hoist this work off on his second…but nope. Curacao had given birth during the entire Irish situation, which had honestly had her fiance and brother freaking out more than she was to everyone else's amusement, to a pair of fraternal twins. A curly brown haired boy with two different colored eyes named Jasper and a silver haired girl with two same color but still newborn blue eyes named Adele in honor of Emma's mom. Rum was busy being a very supported, loving, doting and proud fiance and daddy right now and was on paternity leave. Which meant Karasuma was alone dealing with this headache.

Well… Maybe not…?

Yeah fuck it.

"Hidemi this is top secret. No one, not even Gin or Vodka, can know but the two of us….and I want you investigating the changes to the folders and not just who made them and how but also why and when. Someone is purposefully removing all our information on Shinichi Kudo and seemed to have it out for the rest of his family as well. Find out who and why and report back to me at once." Karasuma ordered him making his granddaughter sight but nod a bit.

"I'll look into it and not tell anyone." Hidemi promised and considering she had survived hours of torture until the alien nearly killed her and she never said a word…there was no way she was telling anyone that secret without them being in private and being trustworthy.

"Thank you." Now that that was being handled…Karasuma looked at his granddaughter and felt his face soften a bit at the returning sight of pain in her eyes.

Now if only Karasuma could get his granddaughter to tell him what had caused that pain in her eyes or at least when he it happened and what he could do to help her heal.
