"I've got some bad news: Rajan has gone into hiding somewhere in the temple. I guess the destruction of his satellite array and Julius's invasion of his personal space to get the blueprints spooked him. To get his portion of the Clockwerk heart we'll need to drive him out into the open. Given Rajan's spice-addled temper, I recommend making him angry. First, we'll destroy the center of his operation, the spice grinder. Then, we'll demolish the dam above the temple in an attempt to flood him out. If that doesn't work, I've made arrangements to exchange one of the temple's facade rubies for some high explosives which, if necessary, we can use to flood the whole temple grotto. If my psychological profile is accurate, Rajan should pick up the other half of the Clockwerk heart before making his escape. Effectively, bringing it to us." Bentley said to the Gang.
Sly Cooper went toward the entrance of the spice grinding facility. All of a sudden, a purple female cat appeared in front of the raccoon. It was none other than the Interpol officer Constable Neyla. Sly wondered what Constable Neyla was doing in the middle of the Indian jungle.
"Cooper, we meet again." Neyla said to Sly.
"Constable Neyla. Thanks for not ratting me out back at the ball." Sly said to the purple feline.
"Oh I should be thanking you, the look on Carmelita's face was priceless." Neyla said.
"She took it hard huh?" Sly said.
"No one likes their emotions played with." Neyla said. "Too bad that teenage boy decided to tackle the Contessa during the party."
"Yeah, Julius pulled off a pretty risky move fighting the Contessa. He got injected with the Contessa's nuerotoxins. Luckily, he survived." Sly said.
"I know I certainly don't. Look, Neyla, as soon as this India job is over why don't you and I go out on the town? We'll dance through Bollywood and eat curry all night long."
"I'll keep it in mind... but first the task at hand. I've learned of a secret entrance leading to half of the Clockwerk heart. Legally I can't enter the premises without a warrant, but now a thief like you..." Neyla said.
"A thief like me can go wherever he pleases. I read you." Sly said.
"Don't fall behind while I lead you to the entrance. This place is thick with guards and standing still can be lethal." Neyla reminded Sly.
"I hear that, sister." Sly said.
Neyla ran off toward the secret entrance that would lead to another area of Rajan's spice temple. Neyla was running through the jungle. Sly tried to keep up with the purple cat. Eventually, both the raccoon and tigress made it to the secret entrance of Rajan's spice temple.
"This is it. And remember, if push comes to shove I never showed you this door... and..." Neyla said cautiously.
"And?" Sly asked Neyla.
"And we're on for that date in Bollywood." Neyla promised Sly.
Neyla ran off somewhere. Sly went inside the facility. Upon entering, Sly said to himself, "There it is... just like Neyla said."
"In order to lower the Clockwerk heart, you'll need access to that control panel... but it's locked down tight." Bentley reminded Sly.
"Oh, I'm sure these guards won't mind if I "borrow" their keys." Sly said.
Sly saw a bunch of guards roaming the place. Sly proceeded to pickpocket all of the keys that operated the control panel that controlled the winch upon which the first half of the Clockwerk heart stood. Once Sly got all of the keys, he unlocked the crank and the Clockwerk heart was set free. Now, the spice wouldn't be growing in this area anytime soon.
"That's it! Half the Clockwerk heart. The spice won't be growing around here any time soon." Bentley said excitedly.
Julius P.O.V.
I headed towards the spice grinding facility. Upon entering, I noticed that the catacombs were lined with TNT barrels. There were laser barriers blocking my path on both sides, making my job a billion times harder.
"According to Rajan's blueprints you're near the Spice Grinding Facility... however, the passage is blocked by those laser fences." Bentley said.
"I know that." I said to Bentley. "How the hell am I going to destroy the spice temple? Oh wait, there's a TNT barrel right in front of me. How do I do this plan with blowing myself up like a suicide bomber?"
"Oh, it's simple. Just jump in, walk the barrel to your target, jump out and get clear of the blast radius. But be careful around floor lasers, Julius, the TNT barrels won't work on them." Bentley reminded me.
"I'll keep that in mind." I said.
I walked up to the TNT barrel. I was extremely nervous about doing this job. I didn't want to kill myself. Then, I reminded myself that this is a video game universe and in a video game universe, when you die, you automatically respawn at the beginning of your previous checkpoint. I squeezed my thin frame into the TNT barrel. I moved very slowly while in the barrel. There wasn't much room to maneuver in the barrel, so I had to be very careful about my actions. One wrong move, and I would die and the job would be restarted again.
I blew up all of the laser fences that were vertical and avoided the horizontal floor lasers. Eventually, I reached the main Spice grinding facility.
"I'm within visual range of the Spice Grinder, what's next?" I asked Bentley.
"Rajan won't come out of hiding while spice is still being manufactured. If we destroy the grinder he'll be out of business and have no reason to stick around the temple." Bentley said to me. I was already out of the TNT barrel at this point.
"Great, we do the world a favor and Rajan's forced out into the open." I said.
"Start by getting a hold of that TNT down there. It's worth mentioning that guards won't be able to detect you if you stay still while in the TNT barrel." Bentley said to me.
"Oh wow, another suicide bombing mission." I said sarcastically.
"It's not a suicide mission, Julius. We are doing this to destroy Rajan's spice temple. There is no other way to do the job without the TNT barrel." Bentley reminded me.
"Fine." I said..
I got inside the TNT barrel. I avoided the guards with relative ease. When I reached the spice grinding facility, I took out my binocucom and got a good look of the spice. The spice was crimson red. It reminded me of the melange spice from the novel Dune by Frank Herbert. FOr those of you who have never read Dune, Dune is a novel that takes place in an universe called the Imperium. In the novel, there's this spice called melange, which is the most vital thing in the Dune unverse. It was said to enhance your mental capacity and give you special powers. The spice melange could only be found in one source: the planet called Arrakis.
Arrakis was a desolate desert planet. Think the Gobi Desert if the entire thing was a planet.
"Make sure to get the TNT barrel into that basin filled with spice dust." Bentley reminded me.
"That spice reminds me of paprika." I said to Bentley. "I'm severely allergic to paprika."
"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Bentley asked me.
I shrugged my shoulders. I put the barrel of TNT into the spice basin. I should also mention that I'm severely allergic to paprika, a red colored spice that was similar to Rajan's spice. When I consume paprika, my skin starts to swell and I break out into hives. My skin starts to feel cold. My face begins to puff up. I go into anaphylaxtic shock. I quickly got out of the barrel and I exited the spice facility as fast as I could.
