Sina still feels the metallic taste of blood in her mouth, even though she tried her best to scrub it off her face, but Chishiya doesn't seem to mind. She drops back into the sheets and Chishiya follows without breaking away from her lips, and it even makes her forget about the trembling in her limbs.

Somehow, she has to think about all those relationships she has read of in books, where everything turns out to be perfect and bright and happy. This situation is all but perfect – stuck in a weird parallel world trying to kill them, living in a caravan with only canned food and instant noodles, while Sina just barely escaped death by electrocution and still carries signs of that, both clearly visible and sensible. And yet, after weeks and months of desperate attempts and tears and frustration, this moment couldn't be more perfect.

Chishiya releases her to catch her breath, but Sina doesn't care much about breathing right now. All she wants is to be close to him, to savor this moment while it lasts.

She searches for his eyes and almost flinches at the sight of his frown, and he sits back up before she can even react.

"Do you need more painkillers?"

Now it's her turn to look perplexed. Most parts of Sina's body still feel like cotton candy, and the pain most likely won't come back until the next morning. So why on earth would Chishiya assume that she-

Oh.

Somehow her fingers brush the skin of her cheeks, only to find out that they're completely soaked. Tears are still emerging from her eyes, and Sina feels their salty taste now that her mouth turns into a smile. It works surprisingly well to embrace Chishiya's face with the palms of her hands, and she pulls him into a tight hug. He is hesitant to give in, probably because he puts the blame for her sudden burst of tears onto the injuries, but Sina barely gives him the chance to retreat.

"I don't know why I feel that I have to tell you, but-" she feels how Chishiya shifts his weight to one side and snuggles up to him as she continues, "-I had a dream about you and me, long before there actually was a… well, you and me."

It is still hard to believe that this isn't just another very long and very realistic dream. "Back then, you almost kissed me, and it was the most wonderful thing my brain could think of. I woke up before it happened though, and it made me sad at the same time because I thought it would never really happen." Sina laughs and feels how her chest is shaken by a single sob, though it doesn't originate in sadness. "But it did happen, and I guess I only now realize how overwhelming this actually is."

Chishiya snorts, just the kind of reaction she has waited for in response for her monologue. "It seems that some part of you back then knew that it was a bad idea to long for something you couldn't have."

"Dream-me even called you an arrogant bastard."

It feels that the tears have finally stopped, although her cheeks are still wet. The humming noise coming from Chishiya sounds like he doesn't fully agree, and Sina grins into the fabric of his hoodie. "Don't like being called arrogant?"

"Technically speaking, my parents were already married when they conceived me, so bastard wouldn't be the right term."

His answer comes immediately and without hesitation, and the lecturing sound of his voice makes her laugh. "Part of me always knew that you were untouchable, that we were not made for each other."

"But you didn't want to accept that and kept on being stubborn."

"Exactly!"

Chishiya lies back so he can see her face, and the amused chuckle he gives off reminds Sina of just how stubborn she actually has been. All the times he told her to leave or to fall for someone else, and she kept on pushing despite his coldness.

"Fortunately I decided against pushing you off the roof back then."

"And against drowning me in that pool." She has no idea when Chishiya has thought about pushing her off the roof, and she honestly doesn't want to know, but she clearly remembers the day where he has almost drowned her. Even though he has displayed it as a warning back then.

"And I told you tha-"

"It doesn't matter that you said you were not going to kill me, because it very much felt that way." This is not going to be an argument, because Sina is not angry about this anymore at all. Instead, she says this with a smile. Everything that happened, all the good and bad things… They were not supposed to be together from the start, and yet they ended up here, against all odds.

Sina uses the following silence to pull him into another kiss, and it's probably this kiss that leads into the rest of the evening taking its course. Maybe it's the lulling impact of the painkillers, maybe the memories causing her to act with an unexpected boldness, but as soon as the kiss ends, she locks eyes with him and places her hand onto his chest. In this moment, even her fingers manage to stay surprisingly calm without much of a tremble.

"I don't think it's fair that you're still fully dressed while I'm exposed to you like this."

Something flashes inside his eyes, and the smirk doesn't leave his face as he sits back up. "Is that so. Well, this is easy to fix."

Sina's heartbeat increases drastically as well as the heat emerging from the center of the body, but it all is forgotten the moment Chishiya holds up her shirt and jeans. "I consider it fair then if I helped you dress up agai-"

While she kicks the clothes out of his hands and bursts out laughing, Chishiya grins at her as well. Somehow she manages to sit up so she is facing him, and she focuses on her hands so they will stay calm while she pulls down the zipper of his hoodie. Chishiya holds still even when her hands move under the soft fabric and pull the hoodie off his shoulders.

His features are calm and composed while Sina feels a burn on her cheeks, but it's okay. He takes off the hoodie and pulls the shirt over his head in a single elegant move. Sina's hand returns to his chest, just that there is no fabric anymore between her fingers and his skin – pale, immaculate, with the muscles clearly showing right under it.

This isn't the first time that she sees him with bare chest of course, but it's the first time she is so close. With her index finger, Sina draws a line from his collarbone to the spot right above his bellybutton, and then she pulls him into another hug.

The warmth engulfing her feels wonderful now that it's just skin against skin, and Sina sighs into his shoulder while she simply enjoys the closeness to him. His hands rest on the back of her waist, but not for long. She feels how they move up, ever so slowly drawing circles on her skin until they reach the clasp of her bra.

It doesn't take him longer than a second to open it, and his hands reach Sina's shoulders in another flowing movement, where they gently push off the straps and throw the bra onto the pile of the other clothes.

A shiver runs down her spine, and Sina falls back into the blankets when Chishiya pushes her shoulders down. His eyes move away from hers, and since Sina doesn't know what to do with her hands, she simply lets her fingers run through his hair. The way he silently lets out a long sigh makes it obvious that he seems to enjoy that, and he pauses for a moment until he moves his right hand towards Sina's shoulder.

With unconcealed curiosity, he circles the scar where the bullet has grazed her skin, and just like Sina did before, his finger then finds its way across her cheekbone, where it moves to her right arm, leaving a prickling feeling all the way down until it reaches the bandage that hides the cut. But it doesn't stop there; it moves onward and crosses the bandage without touching the scar itself, where it eventually pauses on the bruised skin of her wrist.

Thanks to the painkillers his touch doesn't hurt, and the circling movement of his finger only leaves a dull feeling of what should be discomfort, but then it retreats and instead Chishiya places both his hands onto her hips.

"I want to kiss you," Sina whispers breathlessly as she stares at his slightly parted lips, but Chishiya just chuckles.

"Soon."

It doesn't take long for him to remove the last piece of clothing from her body until Sina lies between the sheets completely exposed and bare. A subtle feeling of embarrassment remains, but it's drowned out by the love she feels. "Still doesn't feel fair, don't you think?"

Chishiya hums, and within just a few moments, he is just as exposed as her. And while the heat emerging from her center is only sensible to Sina, he definitely has something that can't be hidden from her eyes.

She leans forward to touch him once more, only that this time, Sina lets her hand run down the side of his chest. At the level of his sternum, she feels how his body twitches as he slightly shifts away from her finger, and Sina musters him with a wide grin.

"Don't tell me you are ticklish!"

"I am not." They both know that he is lying, and the smirk doesn't even try to hide it.

"Oh yes, you are."

Knowing exactly what to do, Sina traces her fingers over that certain spot again, which causes him to twitch just like the first time. Chishiya throws her back into the bed and pins her arms onto the sheets with his hands, and the strands of hair falling into his face almost reach down to her nose.

Still breathless, Sina tries to lift up her face and kiss him, but his grip doesn't allow her to. "What are you doing?"

"Keeping you from doing things you're not supposed to do."

She snorts and grins at him while she tries to hide the way her face blushes even more at the fact that they're both completely naked. "So many days, and you still haven't learned the most important thing about me?"

Chishiya gives her a questioning look, and Sina uses this moment of distraction to wiggle herself out of his grasp, even though it causes her wrists to burn. But soon enough it's Chishiya lying on his back, with Sina's keeping his arms in place.

"I like to break the rules." She leans down close to his face, and before he can say anything, their lips meet for a long and incredibly soft kiss.

It is in that moment that Sina feels a warm and solid pressure on her stomach, and the response of her body follows immediately. She lets go of his hands and instead wraps her arms around his body, overcoming the space that has been left between their bodies as both of them turn to the side and she huddles up against him.

Dark brown orbs have returned to focus on her eyes while his hands embrace her back, trace along her shoulder blades and down her spine until they rest on the curves of her bottom. It is hard to resist the urge to move her hips so Sina can feel him even more, when Chishiya lets go all of a sudden and reaches into the shelf above his head.

Sina watches how he slips on the Johnny, both fascinated and impatient for him to return to her embrace, and as soon as he does, she pulls him into another kiss. Somehow she ends up lying on her back again, and her hands cling to Chishiya's shoulders as if he would get up and walk away any time now.

"Let me be your strength… forever."

A muted sigh escapes her mouth and Sina claws her fingers deeper into the soft skin of his back as he finally lowers down to fill the empty space that has been longing for him. She whispers his name into his ear, giving in to the sensations that overcome her now.

He moves slowly at first, completely under control even in a situation like this. His mouth is close to her ear, and Sina can hear how his breathing increases. But it's not enough – she wants more. She wraps her legs around his body, allowing her to feel him even deeper inside and to apply move pressure to his moves.

It could have gone on just like this for the rest of the night, just him and Sina without the rest of the world. But she soon feels the heat rise even more, and she tries to take control over the speed of his movements.

He notices immediately and lifts up his head, his fingers gently brushing Sina's hair while the other hand supports his body so he won't crush her. It is the most wonderful thing she has seen – the way he breathes through his open mouth, how his face is reddened as well and his eyes glaze over, and yet he doesn't stop to look at her as he meets her desire.

But she is not able to hold his gaze as dizziness and heat fill all of her, and a flickering white light catches her attention as Sina leans back her head into the pillows. She has seen it through the roof hatch, and there's another following right behind. Shooting stars!

"Chishiya-" She wants to show him, but just in this moment the world around her explodes, and there is nothing she can do except to surrender to the waves overrunning her body. Suddenly Sina is surrounded by shooting stars, and it's impossible to tell which one is real and which one isn't.

It doesn't take long for Chishiya to join her. On the edge of consciousness, Sina notices how his movements turn faster and more erratic, and they soon spin out of control completely. Those last strong thrusts cause her to succumb to another explosion of stars, and she hears a stifled moan next to her ear as Chishiya lowers down on her.

Her heart beats so heavy that it has to burst out of her chest any moment now, and Sina's breathing doesn't want to slow down. In this moment, she turns slightly just to see Chishiya, his head resting on her shoulder with his eyes half closed, and she kisses his cheek with a smile on her face.

Even now, he is making sure that his weight won't be too heavy for her, and Sina shifts slightly to find a more comfortable position. This sudden movement causes the part of Chishiya still inside her to move as well, and the pulsing heat returns in an instant.

Chishiya smirks and approaches her hand as Sina starts to caress his hair. "Forever can be an incredibly long time."

"I hope it is."

Just like that, no worries are left inside her mind. It is in this moment of tenderness that Sina fully gives in to him, and finally it feels like he is doing the same. No more shooting stars appear outside the window, but it doesn't take long for her to see and feel them again, in this night that feels like forever to her.

And Sina doesn't want it to end ever again.
