Later on that day
Brooke and Lucas clear the rest of their schedule for the next few days. Once they found an opening. Her and Lucas headed straight to Brooke's OBGYN for an appointment to get all the answers they needed regarding the pregnancy.
Lucas held Brooke's hand securely in his.
"The gel will be a little cold. You took 4 pregnancy tests and they all ended up positive. Which is a hopeful thing. But an ultrasound is the next course of action to gain the needed clarity going forward."
"I know this isn't the first pregnancy for the two of you. And that things had a darker ending then either of you imagined. But let's not focus on doctor proclaimed.
Lucas nodded his head in agreement. While Brooke fought back tears.
Waving the ultrasound wand over Brooke's flat stomach.
The couple's eyes were glued to the monitor.
When the doctor stopped moving and looked to the couple. A smile went across her face.
"You are pregnant. To be exact 6 weeks along. Those little sweet pea size circles are you're babies. You're having twins." She announced.
Lucas's eyes went wide. He looked over at Brooke when he felt the grip on his hand tighten.
Brooke didn't realize she was crying until she felt Lucas wipe away her tears.
"Thank you so much." Brooke said. Looking to the doctor.
"I'll be right back. I'll get you a presciption for prenatal vitamins. You'll be expectated to take daily. Congrats again." She said. Before leaving her office.
Lucas focused his gaze on his wife.
Brooke was now sitting up on the examination table.
"I've never been more in love with you." Lucas announced.
Brooke smiled sweetly. "Twins. This is incredible. Amazing. I'm in shock." She replied.
Lucas kissed her gently.
Brooke kissed him back.
Lucas put her hand on her stomach.
"We're going to be a family." Brooke said.

Awhile Later
The Scott Home
"According to what the social worker told me. Angie is able to be given straight into our custody. But the big question is are we seriously doing this.? This arrangement is temporary. We know that going in. Given all she's gone through. We would be giving her stability. A safe place to stay for awhile." Brooke announced.
"That girl deserves that. We are more then capable of being disconnected enough to go forward with this process and still know at the end of the day. She has to go." Lucas replied.
"Okay. I'll tell her we'll be there in the afternoon. She's being kept in New York City. Then i'll book us the earliest flight possible." Brooke said.
Hours Later
In the morning
Lucas and Brooke were in New York City after hours of flying.
After a taxi ride to the written down address of the group home.
The couple exited the car and were met outside the house by Angie's social worker.
The woman smiled brightly at the couple.
"She's right inside. Before we go. I need to ask if the both of you have any questions for me.?" The older asked.
"We do. None of this makes any sense. How. Why. Did Angie's parents abandon her like this.?" Brooke asked.
The social worker sighed deeply. Where they live and their lack of resources. They just couldn't handle it anymore. Raising a child. So they did what they thought was right. And asked me to contact you." The social worker revealed.
That announcement stopped the couple right away. Realizing now that this was alot more then they signed up for.
But once they laid eyes on Angie. Something inside of them shifted. Their hearts opened in a way they didn't expect.
"Angie the couple i told you about is here. Mr. Scott and Mrs. Scott." The social worker stated.
"No! I can't go anywhere. How are momma and daddy supposed to find me if i move away?" The young girl asked.
Brooke took in the sight of the little girl. Dark hair pulled into pigtails. Beautiful light brown skin. And cute features.
"We have a room and we'll find a way for you to see you're parents. Until then we came all the way here to take you home with us." Lucas proclaimed.
"I bought a gift for you. A purple monkey." Brooke said.
The young girl's eyes went wide a smile coming across her face. "Purple is my favorite couple." She announced.
