Chapter 26 Arriving at New York City
The hotel Virgil is staying at is the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown and Virgil's friends live at the Park Towers South Apartment building.
Virgil pulled out of John F. Kennedy international airport and started heading for New York City. 24 minutes later Virgil and Jamien drove on the Queens Midtown tunnel and drove into Manhattan. Virgil drove the car to their hotel and pulled out the front of the hotel. When Virgil pulled up out the front Jamien was sleeping in the back seat of the car. When the car stop Jamien opened his eyes and yawned while looking straight-headed meanwhile Virgil was unloading the suitcase out of the car. Virgil finished with the suitcase and open the car door for Jamien.
" Come on Jamien wake boy", Virgil said while holding the car door open.
Jamien got to his feet and did a big stretch and jump out of the car.
Virgil and Jamien walked into the hotel and walked over to the reception desk.
" Hello, can I help? said the receptionist desk to Virgil.
" Yes please I made a reservation under the name Virgil Tracy", Virgil replied to the receptionist.
" Ok no problem", The receptionist said while getting Virgil's hotel keys for him.
" Here you go here a the keys and enjoy your stay", The receptionist said to Virgil.
" Thank you", Virgil said to the receptionist and grabbed the suitcase and went up to their hotel room.
Virgil was on the 8th floor and was in room 116. Virgil grabbed out the keys for the hotel room and placed them in the keyhole and opened the door. When Virgil opened the door Jamien went running into the room and started sniffing everything. Virgil carried the suitcase into the bedroom and placed them on the floor next to the bed. Virgil sat down on the bed he fell back onto the bed and was looking up at the roof.
It was 4:30 pm when Virgil and Jamien arrived at their hotel. Virgil was laying on the bed for 6 minutes indeed Jamien jumped up on the bed and started whining at him. Virgil turned his head to look at Jamien.
" Can I help you? Virgil asked Jamien.
Jamien moved closer and just stared at Virgil and keep whining at him. Virgil lifted his left arm to look at his watches and saw the time was 5:00 pm.
"Jamien are you hungry for dinner? Virgil asked Jamien.
Jamien's eyes went wide and Jamien jumped off the bed and run over to his suitcase. Virgil stood up and walk over to the suitcase and open Jamien's suitcase. Virgil pulled out Jamien's food bowl and carried it into the kitchen. Jamien followed behind him and sat down in between the kitchen door and watched Virgil getting his dinner ready. Virgil went to walk back to the suitcase but found Jamien stating in the doorway. Virgil steps over Jamien and walked back over to the suitcase. Virgil unzip Jamien's suitcase and pulled out a frozen heart cut up into small pieces. Virgil carried the plastic bag into the kitchen and opened the bag and proud the meat pieces into Jamien's food bowl.
" Ok Jamien", Virgil said while closing the plastic bag again.
When Virgil pick up Jamien's bowl, Jamien was already waiting for his dinner.
" Jamien come", Virgil commanded Jamien.
Jamien walked into the kitchen and just looked at Virgil.
" Jamien sit", Virgil commanded Jamien.
" Good boy now speak", Virgil said to Jamien.
" Ok showoff spin", Virgil commanded Jamien.
" Ok one high five Jamien ", Virgil said while getting down to his knees and holding out his right hand.
Jamien placed his right paw on Virgil's right hand for a second then moved his paw off.
"Okay Jamien here is your dinner", Virgil said while placing Jamien's bowl on the floor.
When Virgil placed the bowl on the ground Jamien started eating the food. Virgil turned around to the kitchen counter and started cooking his dinner too. Later that night both boys watched tv and went to bed.
