Chapter 26.

Christian

He and Beal reluctantly walked away from those they loved and walked into Christian's office to talk without being heard by anyone. Once they were seated Christian watched Beal fidget nervously, something he had never seen any of his brothers do. He understood how he was feeling as he had very much felt the same when he was preparing to ask Ana to marry him.

"Brother it will be ok, no need to be so nervous I will help with whatever you need, and you know how much Huldah loves you, you are guaranteed a yes when you ask her." Beal looked up from his hands he looked horrified.

"I never thought about what I would do if she said no I just was worried about how I would do it, and what if anything went wrong. Now you have me thinking what if she says fucking no, what do I fucking do if she says no? What if she isn't ready? Maybe I should leave it for a while."

"Don't even think about it!" he and Beal turned to the door to the office to see Ana stood with the biggest smile on her stunning face.

"How long have you been there? please tell me that Huldah doesn't know what we are talking about" Ana pushed herself from the frame of the door and walked over to Christian and sat on his lap smiling at Beal softly.

"She is outside playing with the children and the dog, she has no idea where you are let alone what you are planning. You have to do this Beal she would be so happy she loves you so much, do you not hear her when she is watching you? She daydreams about being your wife, so of course, she would say yes, she is so in love with you, please, tell me you will ask her." Christian could see the relief on Beal's face at Ana's words.

"I try never to listen to her thoughts, please tell me in those thoughts Ideas of how I would propose would come up, or what the ring she wanted would look like, I just want everything to be perfect, she deserves nothing but the best and I want to be able to give her everything she wants."

Ana smiled at him and glamoured a brochure with rings in it all of them had stones of the same color as Huldah's eyes. Beal looked from the brochure to Ana with the biggest smile, before he could say anything as if hearing his thoughts Ana spoke. "She wants the first one, or at least that is what I can hear when she is looking at it, she has this brochure with her all the time, have you never seen her with it before?"

"I have been so busy I never noticed," he sounded like he felt guilty but considering everything they had all been dealing with it was definitely not something he should feel guilty about.

"Beal, don't feel guilty, you have been doing so much lately with regards to finding those trying to hurt us and trying to protect those we love, and you have also just had a baby, not noticing little things like a book is totally to be expected, so please don't beat yourself up about it." Beal looked at him and nodded.

They all looked down at the ring Ana had mentioned and he had to admit it was incredible, however, it was the only one that wasn't the exact color of Huldah's eyes, something Beal seemed to notice.

"Does she want it in these exact colors? because all the others match her eyes, that one doesn't" Ana smiled and winked at him.

"That is her favorite ring, however, she told me once when I saw her looking at it that it was her favorite ring but she would love it more if it was the same color as her eyes. Which let's face it she is right because her eyes are incredible, the beauty of being us is that you can give her exactly what she wants." Beal seemed like he was getting more and more excited by the second at Ana's words.

Beal closed his eyes and concentrated, seconds later he held a purple ring box again the same color as Huldah's eyes. He opened it to reveal the ring from the brochure that had been described as a 'pink and green tourmaline emerald cut ring, set in gold and flanked by two triangular diamonds, but instead of it being pink it was purple. It was incredible, Ana's hands flew to her mouth and tears streamed down her face.

"Oh wow Beal that's it, that's exactly what she wanted it's gorgeous, no, it's not just gorgeous, it's perfect." Ana let out a little sob and Christian had to look at her to make sure she was ok but seeing her smile made him sigh with relief.

"You ok baby?" she kissed him then turned back to the ring smiling.

"I'm so good baby, I am so excited for Huldah after everything we have all been through she has been through more than any of us, and now this, she will be so happy." He couldn't help the emotion he felt when Ana said this. She was right they had all been through so much, there was no doubt about that, but after what was not just emotionally but physically done to Huldah, having something as wonderful as this happen to her, it was an emotional and wonderful time for everyone.

Huldah was such a beautiful, wonderful, loving, and, such a loved part of the family she truly did deserve nothing but the best. "Ok, Beal we need to plan how you will ask her because you and Ana are both right she deserves so much happiness, and we will make sure this is exactly what she gets.

They had spent a while talking about what they were going to do to plan the perfect proposal, it had been easy considering who they were, he loved being magical and rich it made everything so much easier. They all knew that Huldah loved her family, and they knew that the second that she accepted Beal's proposal she would want to celebrate with all of her family and loved ones, so they had planned a private proposal followed by a family celebration.

It had been organized for that night, so they all had a few hours to get ready something all the women insisted they do together, as it was apparently all part of the fun of going out. So all the women were in the pool house, and the men were in the main house with all the children who were running around excited, knowing they were all going out.

Ana was the first to come out and he had to suck in a breath at what she was wearing she looked incredible, she had on a short lilac dress with white spots all over and a tied front. The dress was incredible and showed off a lot of cleavage and leg, she paired it with some nude wedges. Again she had no makeup on just a little lip gloss, her hair was up with some loose hair that framed her face and a pair of sunglasses, she looked effortlessly gorgeous.

The rest of the ladies joined soon, after all, wearing a mixture of maxi dresses and short dresses, they all looked gorgeous, the only one who was missing was Huldah, he frowned at Ana who simply explained she would be ready soon.

About twenty minutes after they had all been sat waiting for Huldah she showed up wearing a black three quarter length dress, that had purple flowers from the waist down and a row of the flowers going around one of her shoulders, she had on silver strappy sandals and her long hair was down in curls that bounced with every step she took. Christian looked at Beal whose eyes were wide, he looked like he was falling in love all over again just at the sight of Huldah, Christian knew that feeling so well, it was how he felt often when he looked at Ana, who was currently crouched down cleaning the children's hands and faces,

All of the children were in simple shorts and t-shirts as they would be more comfortable playing in them than if they had all got dressed up, it was still very hot and the last thing that any of them wanted to do was have a load of cranky tiered and hot children when they wanted tonight to be perfect. Today had felt like the longest day and yet it was still only early evening and even though they had all been exhausted they had wanted to celebrate the end of all the crap they had all been through. No one other than he, Ana, and Beal knew what was happening, Beal had told everyone that he just wanted some time alone with Huldah before he joined them all.

Little did they all know that the restaurant that had been booked would give them all a perfect view of where Beal was proposing to Huldah so they would all see everything because there were so many people they had opted for taking cabs. After all, they knew shimmering in was too risky with so many of them they would for sure be seen.

Huldah and Beal had left before everyone else, he could see the nerves on his brother's face and he couldn't hold the smile in, he knew that feeling so well, it felt like only yesterday that he had been feeling those exact same nerves when he was proposing to Ana.

The cabs all showed up and everyone piled in, he could feel the excitement coming from everyone, Ana more than anyone else. He looked at her and she was smiling, gripping onto his hand tight. "Are you ok beautiful?" she looked up at him and she was glowing with the joy she was feeling, it was infectious.

"I'm good, I'm just so excited" she spoke in his head not wanting anyone to hear what she was saying, he knew she wasn't just as excited to see Huldah's reaction she was excited to see everyone else's reaction to what was going to happen.

They arrived at the restaurant not long after being picked up it was gorgeous and looked over to all these little multi-colored apartments, but the main thing he could see from where their table was, was a wooden platform that had massive cushions on it and a small table filled with champagne, fruit platters, and vases filled with flowers that Ana had shown Beal who instantly loved them, called sapphire galaxy flowers they were breathtaking, and such a vibrant blue and purple color they almost looked like they glowed.

Everyone came over to where he was stood, wanting to see what he was looking at, he turned to everyone and put his finger over his lips, and pointed at the area he was looking at. Suddenly they saw Beal and Huldah's car parking up and Huldah was helped out of the car by Beal. He had her blindfolded, he bent at the waist to pick Huldah up. He saw everyone looking at him and suddenly he heard the gasps from the people watching, the children had all sat at a table with their toys and coloring books uninterested in what was happening with the adults, all except Ava who was stood next to Izzy.

Once Beal was at the table he lowered Huldah and kept her back to everyone watching, he watched Beal take a deep breath before he removed the blindfold. When he did suddenly colorful paper lanterns were released into the sky all around them, they stood out so much now that it was starting to get dark, it was magical and caught the attention of the children who came running over and saw Huldah and Beal.

They all shouted in excitement catching Huldah's attention, she turned to see where the noise was coming from. Her hands flew to her mouth and she bent over a little laughing at the children who were all jumping up and down with excitement. What she didn't see was Beal who had now lowered himself to the floor on one knee and was holding the ring box open waiting for her to see him.

Ana pointed behind Huldah after a few minutes of Huldah standing waving at the children, when Huldah saw that Ana was pointing behind her she frowned and turned to the side and looked down seeing what Beal was holding. Once again her hands flew to her mouth, she said nothing but even from where he was stood Christian could see the tears running down her face.

They all stood silently wanting to hear what was being said even the small children seemed to want to be able to hear what was happening, Ana was holding Liam, even though he was a newborn she wanted him to see this moment with his parents, which he seemed to notice as he watched his parents with a big smile on his face that showed the inside of his toothless mouth and his hands were reaching out to them as he opened and closed his tiny hands.

Christian turned his attention back around to Huldah and Beal just as Beal started to talk. "Huldah, our life will be filled with many challenges, some we have already faced, and come through so much stronger in such a small space of time. I know no matter what we go through I can face anything with you by my side, when I met you I knew I had met the most incredible, most beautiful woman in the world, you are beautiful inside and out, anyone who meets you falls in love with you. You make everyone so happy just being in your presence; your heart glows and is so warm it draws people in. I love that no matter what the situation you can still make people laugh or smile. You're the funniest, sweetest, quirkiest, most amazing, and beautiful woman I have ever met, please say you will live this insane life with me. Let me be the man that is worthy of your love, give me many more children, love me forever my beautiful Huldah, and stand by my side as my wife and queen, Huldah please will you marry me?"

Huldah said nothing but just kept her hands against her mouth and nodded her head frantically, "Sweetness I am going to need you to say the words" she laughed and jumped on him knocking him backward and they both landed on the large cushions behind them bumping the table a little. Christian used his magic to stop the flowers from falling over not wanting this moment to be ruined by anything.

More lanterns were released and in the distance, fireworks started to explode in the sky as everyone was cheering and jumping around in excitement. Finally, Huldah pulled back saying yes over and over and kissing Beal in between each yes, it was the most beautiful moment.

They watched while Beal slid the finger onto Huldah's hand, "It's exactly what I would have wanted, how did you know?" Beal looked at Ana and Huldah followed his gaze, Ana just smiled and Huldah mouthed her thank you, before holding it up for everyone to see making everyone cheer again, not that they could really see just how beautiful it was from this vantage point.

After a few more minutes they all decided to turn and give them a little privacy to enjoy some champagne together, they practically had to bribe the children by promising they could eat dessert before the main meal just to get them to come and sit back down.

About an hour later Beal and Huldah came in hand and hand looking like they were the happiest people in the world, he genuinely couldn't be happier for his brother. Everyone stood to greet them, "How do you feel brother?" Beal blew out a long breath.

"I feel amazing I have to say though I have never been so nervous in my life" Christian laughed and slapped him on the back.

"I told you she would say yes" Ana walked up to them and hugged Beal before wrapping her arm around Christian's waist, she fit him so perfectly.

"You did indeed, can I just say thank you to you both, it was everything I wanted and more for her, and knowing that it was all she had ever wanted, well it was perfect." Just as Beal had finished a giddy and excited Huldah came over and hugged Christian and Ana thanking them both.

She held her hand out to them both, seeing the ring on her finger shining in the lights of the restaurant it was perfect for her, it suited her so well and it was the perfect color of her beautiful shining eyes.

"Congratulations to both of you, Huldah I couldn't have picked anyone better and more suited to my brother than you, and I couldn't have picked anyone I want more as a sister" she hugged him again as tears filled her eyes.

"Thank you, I can't believe after such a long life I am finally going to be a wife" she squealed with excitement, turned and kissed Beal before she ran over to Carla to take Liam from her and hugging him to her, talking to him about hers and his daddies upcoming wedding, Beal chuckled softly before nodding to Ana and Christian and going to join his wife to be.
