Cut to Hideout Exterior - Night

The Gotham PD has showed up and is taking the subdued Legion members away. King Shark and Giganta are sedated and Weather Wizard in in handcuffs. Aquaman lifts the heavier King Shark into the prisoner van. Wonder Woman and Cyborg work on clearing some debris and Flash speaks with a couple of officers. Commissioner Gordon is talking to Batman a short distance from all the others.

GORDON

"Obviously we can't hold them here in Gotham. Some specialists from Belle Reve are coming to pick them up."

BATMAN

"Let's hope they can hold the big ones. Any trace of the others?"

GORDON

(Shakes his head)

"Nothing, the assassin or hacker you mentioned are in the wind. And I contacted Arkham a few minutes ago. Lex is still in his cell."

BATMAN

(Grunts)

"That figures. Wasn't enough time to catch him after dealing with his Android. Not that we'll be able to connect it back to him, nobody's talking."

GORDON

"Still, you did good work here. All of you."

(He looks up at the news chopper)

"I know you prefer to stay out of the limelight, but it's kind of hard to miss seeing what went on here. So cat's out of the bag on your new team. For what it's worth though, I think this is a good thing for-"

He turns back to see Batman gone. At first, Gordon thinks it's another of the vigilante's usual vanishing tricks, but then he sees Batman talking to an excited Flash and smiles. He's sticking around this time.

Cut to News Footage

We see various clips of the previous night's action on major news networks. They mention the heroic actions of a group of heroesfighting a number of known criminals calling themselves the Legion of Doom outside Gotham harbor. There's mention of the group being led by the mysterious Batman, and that his credibility amongst the populous has risen again thanks to his actions. Anchors and guests speculate about the others, someone mentioning how one of them, the Flash, gave an officer at the scene their codenames. There's footage of the fights with the Legion and Amazo, proving their validity as heroes.

Intercut the major talking points with scenes of the heroes doing their own thing. Arthur Curry returns to his father's lighthouse in Amnesty Bay. He opens up his duffle bag with his gear and starts to unpack. Arthur pulls out a Wayne branded water bottle, and laughs. He finally has somewhere he belongs.

Diana Prince goes back to her home office and sits at her desk. There's the photo of her, Steve Trevor, and the old team in Germany. Then, she takes out a framed news clipping about her new team defeating the Legionof Doom. The photo used shows everyone in action against Amazo, and the image is very reminiscent of the first Justice League comic cover. She sets it next to the WW1 photo. Diana is no longer living in the past.

Over with Barry Allen, he's back at the building he was living in, making adjustments to his costume. When he's finished, we see Barry's etched yellow wing tips on each side of the mask. Barry is finally confident and believes in himself.

Victor Stone is at S.T.A.R. Labs with his father watching on. We see Victor concentrating, and the metal on his body begins to change. It's no longer jagged and moving around. It's smooth, sleek and more humanoid. Very reminiscent of his old football pads. Victor smiles at the results. He's no longer afraid of himself and is holding onto his humanity.

Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth are visiting the old Wayne Manor, which will become a new team headquarters. They've already begun renovations and the round table from DC is there, with 6 chairs ready to go. Bruce focuses at the 6th chair, and Alfred pats his surrogate son on the back as the they walk out together. Bruce is trusting people again.

Finally, one of the news anchors discusses Lex Luthor being released from Arkham Asylum. Lex Luthor is walking out of a courthouse with a crack team of lawyers. Several reporters try and ask him questions but his bodyguards keep them away as he gets into his limousine. The anchors discuss how the charges made against the billionaire previously were very difficult to prove. So he got off on a technicality with time served.

Cut to Lex Luthor's Living Room

The camera pulls back as we see the footage of a serious looking Lex being hounded by reporters, showing that someone's watching all of this on tv. It's Lex, drink in hand, looking very pleased with himself. Just then, the power goes out Lex'a head looks around in the dark. The power comes back on, and now he's surrounded by the heroes.

LEX

(With confidence)

"You could've knocked, you know. Although I'm guessing this is some veiled attempt at threatening me, yes? Well, I hate to break it to you and your colorful friends, but the courts cleared me of previous suspected wrongdoing. And I wasn't connected to the incidents with the criminals you apprehended."

(Takes a drink as the others stare at him)

"As far as the world knows, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Schott built Amazo and stole my equipment without my knowledge or permission. There's nothing tying me to their actions, nothing that will stand up in court."

BATMAN

(Steps forward)

"It's not the courts you should be worried about. We know what you did, and if you ever try and pull something like that again, we will stop you."

Lex snorts, unfazed and takes another drink.

BATMAN

"I also might be able to pull some strings and bring back an old friend of ours who'd be more than happy to keep an eye on you..."

This visibly shakes the villain, he understood the implications. Lex's expression changes and his tone gets more defensive.

LEX

"Why should I be worried about you?"

BATMAN

(Looks to the Flash and back)

"Because... we're the Justice League."
